My husband and I absolutely loved having Eric as our wedding photographer. He is super down to earth and is really easy to work with. He had no problem answering any questions we had and was very responsive to emails. It did not take long to get our engagement or wedding photos back. On the day of our wedding, he made everything stress free. You can tell he has had many years of experience doing this and knows what he is doing! We highly recommend Eric!!

This review is long overdue, and for that we apologize Eric! Working with Eric is a truly magical experience, not just because of his photography, but more importantly because of the AMAZING person that Eric is both professionally and personally! Eric invests a ton of time in getting to know you as people before he works to capture your special memories. When we saw Eric's website and the quality of his work while shopping for photographers, there was no question that his work in photographing special events was nothing short of exceptional. As you know, finding that special someone who knows how to photograph those special moments is more than just looking at their work. We met Eric for the first time through a Zoom call, and through his extremely positive and joyful personality, we got to know Eric even better, and there was no question in our minds that he was the guy for us. Eric's personality, friendliness, professionalism, work, communication and most importantly the way in which he works with you is off the charts. Five stars is no where near what he deserves. Both of us have been in the service area are entire careers (and we're in our 50's) and we have never experienced someone like Eric. Eric's communication from start to finish is spot on, as he never leaves you guessing about the prep work, the planning, the day of activities, what happens after, or when you will receive your photos. He is a true partner throughout the entire process. On our special day, Eric was fabulous. His smile alone is infectious, and you can help but to enjoy your time with him. He makes you so comfortable, and supports and encourage you to be yourselves. As you get lost in the moment with the one you love, Eric quietly blends into the surroundings, captures your special moments, and basks in the celebration with you by memorializing the moment through his camera. Eric laughs with you, cries with you, and truly becomes your friend in the time he spends with you. Eric's personality is that of someone you cannot help but love. All of our friend, family and guests commented on how wonderful he was to have at our wedding, and have truly enjoyed the pictures he captured of them at the event. The hundreds to thousands of photographs he takes will help you to see those many moments that you weren't even aware were happening, and you will get to enjoy the utter happiness that Eric captures for you. There are not enough words to explain how happy we are with the photographs Eric took of our wedding, but more importantly than the photographs, Eric captured our hearts and our souls through the person that he is and how he approaches his work. Eric was able to provide everything we wanted in a photographer and more! He made sure every moment of our day was captured, from taking the time to get the perfect pictures with our precious puppy, to pranking our groomsmen. We especially loved all of the sneak peak pictures that were previewed during our cocktail hour with guests. There aren’t enough stars! We hired Eric Vest for our engagement and wedding photos. Eric is one of the kindest and most thoughtful photographers I’ve ever gotten to work with. He remembers EVERYTHING! We didn’t hire a day of coordinator and Eric was stellar at keeping and maintaining timelines (no small task with my family). He is professional and comes with plenty of recommendations but only if asked for them - Photography related or not. His work is beautiful and timely, but I’ll let that speak for itself. Don’t hesitate to hire this wonderful human! You won’t regret it!

I may have procrastinated in writing wedding vendor reviews, but don’t delay in having Eric be your wedding photographer! He was one of the best decisions we made during our wedding planning process! He was so friendly, upbeat, easy going, and positive! We had such a fun time with him as our photographer! We loved our engagement and wedding photos so much! He also was so helpful with any questions we had during the process and with timelines thanks to his vast experience. We cannot speak highly enough about Eric. This review is almost difficult to write because words cannot convey how amazing he was in making our engagement photos all the way through to our wedding day a beautiful and stress free experience. I feel like we won the jackpot working with Eric Vest as our photographer! Communication was top notch throughout the entire process, and he was so willing to answer any questions I had. Eric was the best decision that we made for our wedding hands down! My husband and I still can’t stop talking about how wonderful he is! From meeting him for our engagement shoot and every step prior he is so helpful about planning every detail. He also does such a great job at keeping you on schedule on the big day. Eric is the best photographer we could have ever imagined for our wedding! He is so personable and makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera. He is hard working, organized, and extremely professional. He basically acts as a day-of coordinator and is fun to hang out with on your wedding day (you are with your photographer a lot!). We were behind schedule at one point during the day, and he assured me we would make up the time and get all the shots we wanted and put me at ease. During the reception, he even brought at Ipad and displayed pictures that he took earlier in the day- the guests raved about it! Eric was hands down the BEST decision we made for our wedding!! From meeting him to our engagement shoot and every step prior to the wedding, he was incredibly helpful in planning every detail for our wedding and was such an expert! My husband and I are both a little camera-shy but he made us incredibly comfortable in every photo and caught the most AMAZING moments of our wedding. Even when things started to fall off schedule on wedding day, he was amazing at adjusting and keeping us together!! We got our engagement photos and wedding photos so much faster than we anticipated and he made it super easy for us to access them and share them with our friends/family. All around, he brought the most amazing energy to our wedding day and we are so so so grateful he was our photographer. A little added note, if you haven't met Eric yet - he's VERY tall which allowed him to the most AMAZING angles at our wedding. :) He also offers a photo booth that was an absolute hit at our wedding and our guests loved leaving with their physical prints (most other places we found just offered digital prints).

I cannot recommend Eric Vest enough! He is an amazingly talented photographer and an all around wonderful human. From the very beginning Eric showed up with enthusiasm and somehow made us feel like we were his only clients. He is organized and thoughtful. From our engagement photo session to our big day, Eric was always on time, willing to run with our unique ideas, and shocked us with his quick turn around time for delivering photos. He knew all of our wedding party's names, offered to help with tasks that were not specific to a photographer, and was respectful of our priorities for the day. His attention to details in photos is impeccable. Run, don't walk, to work with him!

If I could give 10+ stars I would. We absolutely loved having Eric as our photographer. He is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet and makes you feel so comfortable in front of the camera. He is so organized, patient, great at communicating and his work is just amazing! Eric was super helpful on creating a wedding timeline with us and just made our wedding day run so smooth. 5 stars aren't enough. Everything about working with Eric from start to finish was nothing short of excellence. His communication, both with us and the other vendors, was superb. He was incredibly helpful, even with things that were not related to his job in any way. He was an absolute delight to work with and made everyone feel comfortable and relaxed, and it shows in the photographs. He kept us on schedule in the kindest way possible, and did a great job of calming me down when I got overwhelmed about the number of things we had left to do and the amount of time we had to do them in. He made sure we got everything we had asked for and every photo I had expressed was important to me, even when I thought there was no way we could fit it all in. He was timely every step of the way, from responding to the first email I sent him to delivering the final photos to us, which were everything I had hoped for. He exceeded my expectations in every way. It's worth noting my late father was a photographer, so my expectations were sky high from the start. Not an easy bar, and still he surpassed it. I am so grateful that Eric was available to photograph our wedding. It was one of the most special days of my life, and he helped to make it perfect.

We recommend Eric without hesitation. He is very easy to work with, and his photography skills and style are top notch. He is an equally good person. He even went above and beyond being a photographer (e.g., helping us out with random things on the wedding day). I met Eric through my sister's wedding as she also booked his services. When we got engaged, and as soon as we booked our venue, we went straight to Eric to make sure he was our photographer! His expertise and calm demeanor also helped with moving the wedding day schedule along and staying on time - he even came prepared with a crochet hook which helped with the ridiculous amount of buttons on the back of my dress! If you’re looking for a one stop photographer, this is your guy!! Eric took care of sooo much more than just photography! I hired Eric to do my engagement and wedding as a package because I loved the style of his photographs. They are so vibrant and crisp! We started out with the engagement session and I envisioned a beautiful spring moment. I scheduled the season and as the time rolled closer, Minnesota had other ideas and the weather was still soggy and gross. I contacted Eric and with a smile he gladly told me we could reschedule! So we did and waited for spring to roll around. Well spring came and we woke up to go to our location and the rain came POURING down. Eric met us and said “No problem! We will wait it out!” Eric waited AN HOUR in his truck just waiting for the weather to cooperate and never batted an eye. Once it cleared up he took us out and did his thing. He even brought a pretty umbrella just in case. And when it sprinkled a little he used the umbrella to create more adorable shots. Then our wedding came around! Eric set up a zoom call to align the timeline perfectly so nothing was missed. We got down arrival times of everyone, places people needed to be and he made sure he knew every little detail! Once wedding day came up Eric was there, bright and early with his empowering smile. When I tell you this man comes prepared I mean it! Any little thing me or one of my girls said “this would be useful if we had…” Eric produced out of his Mary Poppins bag! Down to me saying a fan would be nice because I was getting hot in my dress - he had a handheld one! My sisters said a crochet needle would be nice to do my dress up - HE HAD ONE!! All that in top of the photographs being strikingly beautiful was the perfect combination and I’d hire Eric a million times over. Eric also worked hand in hand with my day of coordinator to make sure everything went so smoothly for my day and he never made me feel rushed even when we were clearly behind schedule, which was very calming. Eric was a true friend on the day and he was always smiling and seemed just so excited to be part of our wedding. He’s also tall so he can get those high up shots so easily! We got hundreds and hundreds of photos from him and in a very quick manner. Our sneak peaks were always out to us within a day or two 💜 He really was a key part of our wedding and has made our memories last FOREVER. We loved having him.

Eric is the best wedding photographer we could ever ask for! Prior to the wedding, he was extremely thorough and responsive and we had the best day having our engagement photos done on the coldest day of 2021. He answered all of our questions thoroughly and in a timely manner. On our wedding day, he kept us on track of the timeline, resolved the bow-tie crisis for my husband (bonus points, Eric is the expert in bow-tie if you haven’t noticed), and he even had toys on him to make our flower girl stop crying! He captured the most wonderful moments for the most magical day! We had around 50 guests and didn’t hire a day of coordinator. But having Eric by our side, we felt so calm and hustle free. After the wedding, we got the sneak peek photos the day after our wedding day, and received all the photos back within a month! Where do I even begin?! Eric Vest Photography was my dream choice of photographer and when he had our wedding date available I can't tell you how excited I was!!!!!! Every single aspect of our wedding photography experience with him was amazing! His attention to detail, his enthusiasm for us as a couple and for his craft working best for us was incredible! From beginning to end communication was clear and enthusiastic and all our expectations were met and honestly EXCEEDED!

Eric was probably the best photographer I've met! Not only did our photos turn out FANTASTIC but his demeanor was wonderful and made our day even better. He helped me feel so much calmer and continually checked in to make sure I was doing okay/was warm enough/wasn't thirsty or hungry. He kept us right on schedule, listened to our requests, and kept the mood light and fun all day. We both were looking through our photos and remarked at how we didn't realize he was even taking certain photos, he just blended right in with ease and took the most natural pictures of us. Eric truly made our wedding day special. From keeping us on schedule, finding unique and special locations to take our pictures, and keeping us laughing and upbeat, he was a lifesaver. He had some wonderful ideas for unique pictures, was flexible and instrumental in helping us create a timeline that worked for us. On our wedding day, he frequently checked in with me to make sure I wasn't feeling stressed, entertained my 2 year old niece, and even pulled out a fan when I mentioned I was a little warm. We did an engagement and wedding photo shoot with Eric and we absolutely loved working with him. He is so friendly and easy to talk to and made us feel very comfortable. I found Eric on The Knot, filled out the online questionnaire, and within hours he called me and spent almost an hour on the phone talking with me about my wedding vision, my (now husband) and I's journey to finding one another, and everything in between. He was the most genuine and down to earth guy you could ask for. Leading up to the wedding, he was very communicative and in touch for whatever we needed. Then the day-of, he kept everything on schedule and in order (BUT in a way that we never felt rushed, pressured or anything!!). Eric is extremely personable and makes the photo portion of the wedding not only stress free, but enjoyable. (I also highly recommend utility the photo booth!)

He's clearly very experienced and works a ton of weddings, but he was exceptionally responsive and supportive in spite of that. He drove out in heavy snow for our engagement photos, and stood out in 0deg weather for our outdoor wedding photos! Final quality that can only be understood once the wedding has passed - the positivity. Every single moment he was involved in he was accommodating someone, geeking out about how good we looked, or solving a problem he wasn't hired to solve. He helped with some dress bustling troubles, and coordinated with other vendors when the wedding day inevitably hit some snags. The day would not have been the same without him!

AMAZING! Looking through Eric’s galleries, you can tell he’s a talented photographer. From the first time we talked with Eric, we knew he’d be the perfect photographer for us. His personality makes you feel at ease being in front of the camera, to the point that half the time I forgot he was there! He was willing to endure 20 degrees just to get our engagement photos in the snow without one complaint! He also worked with us to create a schedule for the wedding day, and was also great at keeping ME on schedule at the wedding. He made sure all shots and family members were included, and was amazing at getting my small cousins (ages 2 and 3) to smile for the camera! While we hired him to be our wedding photographer, he has become part of our family through this process! Hands down will be recommending Eric for the rest of my life!

Eric is simply amazing. Here's the hint you're looking for... HIRE HIM. If you need more convincing, keep reading. We had to cancel our engagement photos for various family emergencies (y'all... let's just say thank goodness 2021 is done 😣) not just once, but twice. Eric not only re-scheduled for us (on short notice) multiple times, he went above & beyond to see what he could do to help us with anything he could, even if it was completely unrelated to photography or our wedding! He prayed over us during those family emergencies & I have no doubt he was on his own time too. Once we actually got together to do our engagement photos, (which is only supposed to be a couple hours), he spent hours late into the night with us answering non-photography questions, helping us decide on centerpieces, & giving us his 2 cents & expertise for decisions we were questioning. He helped us nail down our day-of timeline, (let's be real, he basically made it for us), checked in with us before the wedding, & was a knight in shining armor (or a knight in a bowtie 😉) the day of. He stepped up to help with many things unrelated to photography, like getting our decor in the correct places after they were placed elsewhere & being a genuine, comforting, kind, human who truly helped ease any nerves or stresses anyone (not just us!) had. He is intentional & makes you feel like he deeply cares about you like his own family. He knows you'll need a minute to breathe throughout your day, so he not only schedules it in throughout the day, but he's strategic in getting you away from people to 'get some photos' when you need it. Girls - it's like having your best gf there to save you when you give her 'that look,' except he knows without you even cluing him in!!! What. A. Winner. Eric was flexible to get the pictures we wanted before the ceremony even though we were short on time. He helped me prank my husband with a 1st look (the best man was actually standing there in a dress... lol)... my husband STILL talks about how well Eric fooled him. He makes sure those 'little things' you're worried about, like your hair being in the wrong place, your lipstick being smudged, or your dress/suit having a wrinkle, are taken care of. Again girls - it's like your best gf is there for you without you even asking!! There were a few specific photo requests we had that he captured beautifully. He included our baby (a dog) in tons of photos during our engagement & wedding photos & his 2nd shooter (who was also a doll!) helped hold our dog & bring him back & forth when he wasn't in the photos. And the NIGHT PHOTOS. If you don't hire Eric for anything else (which would be a monstrous mistake, seriously), hire him for the night photos. These are not something I've seen a lot of photographers do & Eric not only does it, but does it SO well. They are some of our favorite photos. As far as after the wedding, Eric was very timely in getting our photos & when we needed a bigger file of one of them (we printed one that's 3ft x 4ft... so if that doesn't say we love it...) he got it to us promptly & was so ecstatic for us. Your galleries are kept with him forever & you don't pay extra for that... so while you should still save them to your own device, you can also relax knowing if you lose them, he'll still have them. & he sent us a Christmas card, making us feel even more like family ❣️ We'll absolutely hire Eric for all of our future photos throughout life. He's a wonder & will not disappoint.

Stop looking for photographers right now and just hire Eric and thank me later. We were lucky enough to have him as our photographer for not one but TWO of our weddings. The first being an extremely small wedding during the pandemic in 2020 and the second being our large originally planned wedding in 2021. Eric is so thoughtful, sweet, and funny and takes incredible pictures that truly capture all the emotion of your day. He makes you feel totally comfortable and works with you to ensure you have the wedding of your dreams. He’s like your own wedding coordinator on top of your photographer. Eric was so much fun to work with at our wedding. The pics he got of us turned out amazing and we couldn't of asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Eric Vest Photography - everything about him and his work is phenomenal!! He was so easy to work with (including working with us to reschedule when we postponed due to COVID) and was very helpful not only with planning the timeline of the day, but also with planning what pictures we wanted to have. Our wedding was absolutely perfect, in part because Eric was so on top of things and kept everything moving. Besides the fact that he was a dream to work with, our wedding pictures are better than I could have imagined. Eric was THE BEST choice ever for our wedding day! We were looking for a photography style that was joyful, natural and timeless, and Eric fit that perfectly. He put so much thought into everything, like making sure he didn't take photos of my dress hanging until he knew where the groom was so the groom wouldn't see it, keeping track of our rings so we could wear them for photos before the ceremony, and generally helping everything run smoothly. Our photos turned out absolutely GORGEOUS! I'm so glad we hired Eric!

Working with Eric was about as easy and enjoyable as possible. He met with my then fiance and I about a 5 weeks before the wedding to get to know us a bit and to start nailing down a timeline for the day. He is an extremely friendly and easygoing person, and made us feel like any particular requests we had were very welcome rather than annoying. On the day of, he was conscious of the timeline we were trying to keep and also knew how and where to flex the schedule to make sure we got the photos we'd want the most. During our couple photos, he put us at ease by his natural and fun mannerisms; we started to forget he was there taking pictures, which is really the goal when you want candid smiles! :) Our overall experience with Eric couldn't really have been improved in any way, and the photos that he delivered are phenomenal -- I've shared them with friends and family and the positive reactions have been universal. We cannot say enough good things about Eric! Eric was the first wedding vendor we hired as he came highly recommended by some of our friends. We could not be happier with our decision! In addition to being a kind, genuine, big-hearted person, Eric is also an absolutely incredible photographer. He even drove us in his truck about a half mile away so we could get a photo with the Minneapolis skyline during golden hour! Eric is the BEST! He was our favorite vendor that we hired and so wonderful to work with. Eric captured our day perfectly. We just got the photos back from our wedding and they are absolutely beautiful. I don't usually like I how look in photos, but I love all of our wedding photos. On top of taking gorgeous photos, Eric is charismatic, communicative, professional, and highly organized. Eric created a timeline for our day and coordinated with our DJ and day-of coordinator, which took a lot of worry and planning off of our plate. I would recommend Eric to any couple in need of a photographer! We made many changes to our wedding dur to COVID including a date change, a venue change, and a very downsized event. He was helpful in planning out the whole day of photography even though we weren't entirely sure what we were doing ourselves at first. While he was an excellent guide, he was also completely open to anything we wanted to do on our day and went above and beyond to accommodate us. Perhaps most importantly, he is a pleasant person who is great to have around on your wedding day. My wife and I were happy with every aspect of our wedding. Oh yeah, and the photos were highly varied and beautiful!

Eric was the best! First of all, everyone knows that most of 2020 was a tough year for couples wanting to get married, and obviously wedding vendors had plenty of difficulties as well. My wife Molly and I were originally planning a June 26 wedding in the Twin Cities area, but due to Covid-19 we moved everything to August 22 in my hometown in Iowa...and Eric traveled there and back (about a 7-8 hour round trip) in a day! He endured our large wedding party and nearly 100-degree heat and never complained about any of it; instead, he was super understanding, very easy to work with, very respectful and professional...we were just so grateful for everything, and how he was able to accommodate us due to the changes we made regarding the location, venues, and date. The photos he captured are so great! It's just so fun to go back and look at them, and we are so grateful to Eric for doing such a good job of capturing our special day.
