When it comes to photography, Erica is absolutely an expert. We had no idea what do with ourselves in photos but Erica was there to coach us through it. She curtailed the photos to our style and listened to our feedback on which poses felt most natural. Erica was patient with our two pups who were not always the most cooperative with photos. She was willing to pivot with us when rain prevented us from having an outdoor ceremony and she helped out with other little things such as zipping up my dress or helping me take out my veil. Erica was not only a vendor to us but truly a partner who was invested in creating our perfect wedding day. The photos form both our engagement photoshoot and wedding day were absolutely beautiful and she got them to us so quickly. If you're considering hiring Erica, we recommend that you do! My sister has autism and my dad has Parkinson's, so Erica was patient and supportive getting great photos with them too. My favorite photos were the spontaneous moments she captured, one walking down Hanover Street after the ceremony (which was also published in Boston Weddings magazine!) and another popping champagne outside of our venue The Liberty Hotel. I could not possibly recommend Erica any higher - she blew our expectations out of the water! You will not regret booking Erica for your special day!!!

e wedding, Erica called us with some bad news, she had COVID and wasn't able to make our wedding. We were devastated, but Erica came to us with not one, but two backup options at the ready. She handled the situation so well, coordinated with the back up photographer (Addie Roberge), and then edited all of the photos herself! Throughout this process, Erica kept us updated constantly and truly became a source of relief from the logistical nightmare of postponing. We would not have moved forward with a new date if it meant losing her - I hope that is a testament not only to the quality of her photography, but to how much she as a person will add to your experience on your wedding day. While we postponed the full celebration to 2021, we had a micro wedding with just Erica and our immediate family on our original date - and she did not disappoint. She immediately became part of the family, captured amazing photos, and documented a unique and joyful experience with such grace. So I could go on and on about how great Erica is, but in the end it comes down to a few key things that make her unbeatable: 1) Erica captures who you are. I've never felt more myself in pictures. 2) She is extremely detail-oriented and organized so you won't worry for one second about your timeline or getting the right pictures. ne of the best decisions my husband and I made. When we first met with Erica she welcomed us into her home and made us feel like we've been friends for years. We of course knew how talented Erica was from the very beginning but when we received our wedding pictures (within 2 weeks!!) we were speechless. Going through each picture truly brought me to tears because Erica was able to capture the most beautiful and intimate moments throughout the day. Her presence on the wedding day was exactly what you would expect or hope for - someone who radiates with positivity and is not pushy by any means. Everyone's health and safety was our top priority and Erica was very understanding of that and wore a mask the entire day (mind you it was a VERY warm summer day!). She made us feel at ease while also making sure she followed all the right precautions. It's difficult to trust a strangers testimony but I promise you that Erica is the most talented photographer out there and hiring her will be the best decision you make! I just love her so much and can't wait to continue working with her next year at our large wedding celebration!

Leading up to the event she was so incredibly helpful, professional, and timely in all of her communications, which in our one-time experience with wedding vendors is pretty special. The day of she managed both sides of the family brilliantly, and not only did a great job with the standard bride/groom+family planned shots, but really stood out in the candids she took both of us and of our guests. Also, there was big concern the weather was going to force us to relocate the outdoor ceremony we had planned, and Erica helped everyone stay level-headed throughout. In the days after the event she was still very responsive and turned around our photos in like a week! My wife was extremely happy with the way she looked in all the photos (and she doesn't often think that!). And did I mention that Erica was also just so kind? My wife and I would definitely want to be like regular friends, she was that personable and fun. Again, we could not recommend her enough. It's worth mentioning that my wife's brother, who got married a few years ago, mentioned many times how impressed he was with Erica's ability to manage all the people for the family portraits.

The best advice she offered was doing "First Look" pictures. I was hesitant to do it because I wanted my husband's first look to be of me coming down the aisle. She guaranteed that it would still be a special and separate moment, and given the timeline that our wedding was on, we might be hard-pressed to find dedicated time for just us, away from the crowdds. (BTW, she was absolutely right on both counts!) Plus, it was an evening wedding in November, so it was great to capture some beautiful autumn sunset pictures before "Snowmageddon 2015". On the day of, she was there right on time with her second photographer who was going to hang with the guys. It wasn't until I saw the proofs that I truly realized how "in the moment" she was throughout the night. I barely knew she was snapping pictures, as she was on the dance floor, mixing at the tables...she was ninja-like with her ability to move undetected! Moreover, after the ceremony, I forgot to have my flats brought down to the reception--she tracked down my sister, zipped to my room, found the shoes, and had them ready at our sweetheart table. Those are the little things you'll never forget. Erica was the topic of conversation at all my post-wedding get-togethers because she was so nice and professional, and once we saw the proofs (which she turned around so quickly!), I knew I had a friend for life! You went back and forth and back and forth about which bridesmaid dress was right, and drove mile after mile looking at venue after venue...All the time spent trying on, driving, deciding, arranging, etc. was all to make sure everything was perfect for the most important 6 hours of your life. All of that, for just 6 hours. The dress will go in a box and be forgotten. The centerpieces will die in a week. The bridesmaids will certainly never wear their dresses again. People won't really remember the venue, they will remember the moment, but not really the venue. So then, if you spent all this time and effort making sure everything was perfect for that 6 hour moment, does it not make sense to make sure you have the best possible wedding photographer you can have to capture all these details you spent so much time making perfect? Your wedding photos, after all, are going to be one of the ONLY things you actually have from your wedding day. They are your memories that you will actually hold, look at, and cherish. You are not going to show your co-worker who wasn't there your actual dress, or bring in one of the center pieces for her to see. You are going to show her all your photos and show her how beautiful and perfect everything was. Here's the problem: A bad photographer is not going to capture the beauty and feeling of your day. Anyone can take a photo. It is not about just taking a photo. It is about capturing a moment, that when viewed, evokes the emotion of your most special day. Each image should capture your love, your happiness, your amazement. Only a talented photographer can do this. Erica Ferrone is easily one of the best wedding photographers in Boston. I think her work speaks for itself. I think anyone can look at Erica's work and "feel" the image. Erica is a true artist, and you will "feel" every moment she captures. You want a photographer that you "click with." This is important because you want to feel comfortable with them there. I don't see how you could not get along with Erica. No matter the whether conditions, the time of day, drunk relatives, she is smiling, and she is loving her job. She has one of the sweetest dispositions. You want a photographer who uses an assistant. Erica always uses one, and it is always someone of her same caliber. You want more than one angle of that incredible moment. You want a close-up shot of your face and your bride's reaction also. Lastly, you want someone who listens. There are certain images you want, and you want a photographer who will take these shots, even if it isn't their "style." Erica will do anything, and do it superbly and she will make you happy. She understands you are the client. Lastly, you are on a budget. Erica might be the most reasonable photographer of her caliber anywhere. After getting our images back, I would have paid her twice as much if I could have afforded it. If you are trying to decide between her and another who is $500 less, you are being stupid. Seriously. How much was your dress?
