We received our sneak peak gallery quicker than I expected, too--less than a week had passed. Erica was very communicative post-wedding, too, especially as she continued to work on our full gallery during a very busy wedding/holiday season. I wish we added on film photos to our package with Erica, but we still have many beautiful digital pictures from her. Erica has a very calming presence, which is so welcome during a time when nerves run high. My partner and I usually don't pose for many photos, so she was very helpful in terms of having us feel more relaxed in front of the camera. She asked us questions about our relationship and what we love about the other, which were very good strategies on her part for getting us to smile wide and bright. Erica brought a second photographer who personally helped me so much when it came to my wedding dress (traditional South Asian wedding dress that was really heavy!) and was very culturally competent and sensitive when communicating with guests, family, and friends during photos. I appreciate how a portion of the payment Erica receives goes towards an organization/charity/cause of our choice, as well as the complimentary Polaroid photos she sent us a few weeks after our wedding--these were all nice touches. Our work together was brief, but we enjoyed meeting Erica and having her part of our wedding. We really wish her a ton of success.

She checked in at all of the important planning stages, did research on the venue and surrounding area and made us a schedule. She shared opinions but never pushed. She even recommended some of our other vendors. You spend a lot of your wedding day with the photographer. It really helps to enjoy their company. We had a blast goofing around with Erica and Senshi (the second photographer), before the ceremony. They shepherded our family and friends with tact and humor. They were present for all of the evening's most important moments but never crowded or distracted us. A few guests even proactively told us how much they liked our photographer. We got exactly what we hoped for: Pictures capturing the mood of the party, the details and facial expressions we couldn't see on the day, and people looking happy because they actually were happy and not because they were told to pose and smile. She sent us a sneak peek almost right away, which extended the wedding vibe high. The final gallery she sent a few months later has made us laugh so many times. My mom plans to order some prints and cannot stop saying "IT'S SO HARD TO CHOOSE!" On top of all of this, her pricing is very fair. She included a second photographer as part of our package and offered different options to fit our budget. Couldn't recommend her more highly.

She made sure to keep in touch throughout the planning process and asked thoughtful questions about our needs, hopes, and expectations for our engagement and wedding photography. Our entire process with her leading up to the wedding was seamless. Shooting & Photos Erica somehow managed to capture us exactly as we are… while also making us look way cooler and hotter than we ever thought possible. She instantly understood our vibe: chic, celebratory, and a little sexy — right at the intersection of documentary-style candidness and editorial sophistication. We didn’t have a lot of pose ideas in mind, which actually turned out to be a good thing, because she seamlessly directed us into natural, effortless poses that creatively incorporated our city surroundings. We had a blast shooting with her because we got to be ourselves while feeling like actual supermodels. One of the biggest highlights from our wedding photos has to be the dance floor pics: she. crushed. it. Erica is not afraid to get in on all the sweaty, silly dance floor action to capture all the raucous fun and special moments — and she made sure to hype us up in the process. She also didn’t leave until she confirmed we’d gotten all the photos we wanted, which was truly above and beyond. Delivery I truly do not know how Erica can meticulously cull and edit all the wedding photos she takes and deliver both sneak peeks and full galleries so quickly, but she does it! We were blown away by the sheer number of photos she included in the full gallery — and that’s to say nothing of the stunning quality! There was not a moment we felt was missing from the photos, and she did a fantastic job of capturing as many different guests and special moments that she possibly could. In terms of social media sharing, Erica made sure we had access to our photos before she posted anything on her socials, which was a thoughtful touch. Also, when she does share pics on her socials, she makes us feel like absolute rockstars and hypes up our wedding day — it really makes us feel valued to remember just how awesome our wedding was :) Personality Yes, everything above is crucial for choosing a quality wedding photographer, but Erica truly stands out just because of who she is as a person. In the hours leading up to the wedding, she was the positive, grounded, and calming presence we needed as we navigated busy schedules and all the jitters. (The number of times she reminded me to take a deep breath throughout the day may have actually saved my life during the brutal NYC summer heat wave.) And once it was time to celebrate, she made us feel fabulous and fun! In hindsight, my husband and I realized Erica was one of our favorite people at our wedding, no joke. If you like cool people and stunning photos, absolutely work with Erica. We cannot recommend her enough!

Not only were the photos consistently beautiful, but we truly felt her support and enthusiasm every step of the way. Erica has such an authentic and warm point of view behind the lens, and her photos feel both timeless and modern. Most of all, they have always shown our total and complete JOY — throughout a lot of twists and turns — and we wouldn't give that up for anything.

She suggested some great spots for photography and when we need to change our date, she made sure she could still fit us in. She even suggested some places to visit on our trip that had nothing to do with weddings but was very appreciated! She made the whole thing fun and took us to some amazing spots where we got some amazing photos. She took some polaroid shots as well, which we love and have framed as keepsakes. Our "sneak peak" photos were back with us within 24 hours and meant we had some pictures to show friends and family back home straight away. We had our full album back quicker than we thought we would and the photos are absolutely fantastic. She has done a brilliant job of capturing the day, and all the joy, love, and laughs that we had. Cannot recommend Erica enough. She was simply brilliant and we couldn't be happier with the photos.

We are pretty awkward and needed a lot of direction and I'm stunned by how good we look! She perfectly captured us and the pictures are romantic and dreamy. We also included our dog in a few. We received our sneak peek and full set within a month of the date and Erica was giving us updates the whole time. Would absolutely recommend her!
