We knew after meeting her and seeing her work that there was no one else who would be a better choice for us. We didn’t even have a venue yet! She just has such a sweet personality, she is so humble and gracious about her amazing work. We actually decided to have a destination wedding in California, and she was willing to fly out and photograph our day! And WOW! We couldn’t believe how much fun we had with her throughout the day. She made us feel like we were long-time friends. We were so comfortable and she just directed us through the whole process and it was a BLAST!!! When we saw a preview of the photos, we were BLOWN AWAY. I didn’t even know she was taking half of the ones she did. She captured the best moments, amazing details…. She sees everything in such a different way. She also photographed our wedding reception a month later, and I can’t even put in to words how happy we were with the photos from that as well. The candid shots of our guests just truly captured the night and it is a memory we will never forget, thanks to Erica. The photographs are incredible and unique and not only reflected our wedding day, but stand as true pieces of art that I will enjoy forever. of pictures you're looking for. On our wedding day, it was like having a friend there. She kept everyone calm and kept pictures moving quickly. She captured simple moments in the most beautiful way. She recently moved to Alaska, but it would be worth your money to invite her back to Chicago for your wedding photos. With such talent, you'd expect her prices to be ridiculous and they were the most fair I found in my (extensive) search. Thank you, Erica for allowing us to continuously relive our special day through your beautiful pictures.

all my questions. Erica did our engagement pictures as well and the entire experience was relaxed and fun. At our wedding, Erica was a quiet observer who got all of the right pictures. During the actual ceremony I didn’t even realize that she was there but the pictures turned out great. I had a long list of family pictures that I wanted (lots of divorced parents), but Erica moved through the list quickly and the resulting pictures are priceless. Every single picture Erica took was natural, fun and beautiful. An added bonus was that we received the disc with all of our pictures less than 3 weeks after our wedding. Erica was the very first vendor that we chose and I never once changed my mind or doubted my decision. Erica is talented, organized, and a very calm presence during what can be a stressful process.

She was very professional in our meetings before the wedding and listened and was open to all suggestions that we had. When it came time for the wedding, she showed up on time was punctual and was super kind to everyone. She toured us around great places downtown to take pictures highlighting the city I was looking for a mix of candid/photojournalistic and posed shots and she delivered a great combination of both. Within a few days we saw a preview of our pictures and within 2 weeks we received the disc of all of our pictures. We loved every single one of our shots and we received a lot of compliments from our friends and family on what beautiful wedding pictures we have. Every time I look at my wedding pictures I smile. urns out as you pictured and planned it. Erica was one of the few exceptions. The pictures turned out beautifully and had the exact feel/look I was hoping for. Erica's work has a fresh, modern, feminine, creative look to it. In searching for a photographer, you view a lot of stale, posed photographs that look so distant and give no real insight into what was going on at that moment and what sort of emotions were being felt. In looking at Erica's pictures, you really see the people, feel the emotions, and appreciate the setting. In addition to the high quality of work, Erica is incredible to work with. Many people commented on how much they liked her approach to taking pictures throughout the wedding. Highly, highly recommended. And this comes from someone often too lazy to actually write a review.

us. There are many talented photographers in Chicago but what makes Erica stand out is her personality. I’ve always heard that you should “make sure you get along with your wedding photographer because they are going to spend all day with you.” Erica is definitely someone you want to be around you on your wedding day. My husband and I had never had a portrait session before so we expected the engagement session to be awkward. Erica made us feel so comfortable and we got along with her so well during our engagement session that I knew we would both feel comfortable in front of the camera on the wedding day. She was so calm and laid back and made everyone feel at ease. We hardly noticed her throughout the day (in a good way!) and everyone was able to act naturally, which is why she was able to capture the feelings/emotions of the day on camera so well. At the last minute, the church told us we only had 15 minutes for pictures after the ceremony (instead of the original 30 minutes). She got all of the important pictures we wanted and was able to coordinate 20+ people (including crabby little kids). She posted some pictures on her blog within a week of the wedding and we were stunned at how they turned out. We received the rest of the pictures within 3 weeks and of course they were phenomenal.
