Oh my, where do I start.... So, the photographer was a 'high priority' for our wedding. We wanted to have a photographer that we thoroughly enjoyed their work and not just 'anyone'...
to snap some pictures of our wedding. WE FOUND HER! Erika is great, in so many ways. Not only is she talented, she's the person you want to be friends with and hope you run into on the street and say hello.
We met and booked her time in 2019 for a 2020 wedding, she flew to our home in CO for our engagement pictures (which turned out stunning) that fall and then our rescheduled wedding in 2021. She was kind and patient while navigating the craziness of 2020. She even sent wine when we had to cancel our original wedding only a few months before. So thoughtful!
Her photos are beautiful- she really captures the essence of the day. The software/program that she uses for sharing the photos, as well as, payment was the best out of all our vendors. She's professional and clear about expectations. She really facilitated the day's timeline (more than I expected from the Photographer- BUT thankful because it really made the best use of our time that day). Erika provided so many tools to make our day go from 'good' to 'great' and I'm thankful for her experience! I loved her guides and blog posts- they helped us think about what we wanted where I likely would have not known where to start.
Therefore, not only did she capture our day beautifully- she brought all the 'other' important things you might not be thinking about when booking a photographer. Organization, timeliness, flexibility and professionalism.

d was thrilled she had availability for our date! The experience literally could have not gone smoother - Erika was so on top of it and communicated regulary throughout the process. I honestly emailed her thanking her for being such "a breath of fresh air" during this stressful wedding planning process. :P On our wedding day (and engagement session), she arrived everywhere she needed to be on time and remembered the little details that so reflected my husband and I.
Based on her portfolio and the engagement photo session (which my husband and I weren't fully on board for but SOO SO happy we did it), I knew I was going to love the final photos, but receiving them was even better than we could have imagine. Words can't express how much we loved our pictures from capturing the bridal party at my parent's lakehouse (yes she travels) :) to our first dance at a winery in South Bend -- all turned out absolutely stunning!
If you are currently on the hunt for a wedding photographer and Erika has the availability, you should stop now and go with her (check it off your list)! I can wholeheartedly recommend Erika Aileen Photography to any bride and definitely recommend adding a seond shooter, for some different angles which ended up being my fave! Sooo worth it!
P.S. It's been a few months and we are still getting compliments on our wedding photos at our family parties/gatherings! The best!
