Erika Event Painting

I wish I could give Erika a million stars! From the start Erika was so wonderful to work with! I had requested specific people be in the painting (my late father and my late father in law) and she captured them perfectly just from a few pictures I had sent to her! Not only is Erika fantastic at her paintings, she is such a wonderful person which made the experience all the more great! I have already recommended Erika to a bunch of my friends who are getting married and constantly recommend her on Facebook because everyone needs a painting by Erika!

I saw live paintings for weddings happening on instagram. I knew I had to surprise my soon to be husband with one for our wedding day. A quick search turned up Erika Event Painting as a local artist. Communication with Erika was easy via email and a quick phone call, I immediately booked her. Payments were super easy as well. Erika arrived at our venue on our wedding day, snagged some photos of our ceremony and went to work during cocktail hour and reception. My husband was so surprised when he saw her. Even better was how completely blown away at the end of the night he was with the finished product. So many guests visited with Erika throughout the night. She was so kind and pleasant with every person. Every guest has complimented me for the unique idea and raved about her process and the finished product!

Having Erika paint our first dance was perfect! She was so easy to work with and the painting looks so realistic; she painted the picture on-site and finished that night. She had people walking up to her, speaking to her, and watching over her shoulder while painting. But apparently, none of that bothers her, because this painting is something my husband and I will cherish forever. Everyone was saying, “Did you see the painting?” Erika isn’t just a painter - She’s also an entertainer, as people stared all night watching her greatness. We’ve never seen such fantastic detail like this. And still can’t believe she did the painting on-site and finished it the same night. It’s unreal. She’s super talented. We will frame our painting and put it in the Living Room to show it off to everyone who walks into our house from now on. Incredible!

Erika painted a beautiful piece of our wedding ceremony. It captures a moment of our wedding day in such a unique and creative way. Many of my guests commented on Erika's presence and work and found it to be a very amazing addition to our wedding day vendors. We have our portrait framed and hung up and I enjoy walking past it every day. I would highly recommend Erika as she is flexible, talented and was so easy to work with.

I must say that having Erika capture my husband and I’s first dance has been one of the most treasured possessions we have of our wedding day. Each painting she does is unique to each client due to their venue, wedding dress, decorations, etc. When you have a painting of your wedding, no one else has one like it. It’s a one of a kind piece that brings back memories of the best day of your life. Erika’s work is beautiful and I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants a unique element at their wedding reception with an momento that you get to take home and hang up to see for years to come!

A live painter was a top “must have” for us. We found Erika through another artist that we found on The Knot. We are so thrilled to have found her! Erika was so kind and easy to work with. Her work shows for itself - our guests truly couldn’t stop talking about the painting as she brought it to life. Erika painted our first dance on an 20” x 30” canvas. We opted to not add any additional detail to the painting after the fact, and we’re able to take it home the same night. If you’re looking to add that extra something to your night and have memorabilia to cherish forever, we cannot recommend Erika enough!

My husband and I had a great experience hiring Erika as a live painter at our wedding. Her prices are very reasonable. I love her artistic style because she paints with a lot of detail and paints subjects and surroundings realistically (other artists I found painted too abstract for my liking). She was responsive and organized prior to the wedding, and she was also very flexible- I wore two dresses on my wedding day. I wore my reception dress for my first dance, but she was able to paint me in my ceremony dress in the painting itself. She was also able to add in my husband's beloved family dog in the painting too. Most of our guests had never seen a live painter at a wedding before, so it was also a source of entertainment for our guests who weren't big dancers. Overall highly recommend Erika!

I couldn't have been luckier to have found Erika to be the live event painter at our wedding! From the beginning, Erika was great to work with. She was easy to get in touch with and very helpful during our phone consultation in understanding my vision for a wedding painting. All of our wedding guests loved watching Erika painting next to the dance floor during the reception. It was such a special and unique part of our wedding. I have my painting now and it is beautiful! Everyone in the painting looks so much like themselves. The details are amazing! I even ordered two extra prints as gifts for my parents and in-laws. I knew I wanted a live artist at my wedding before I even got engaged. My best friend showed me pictures of a wedding that she went to and that was the first time I ever saw that there was even such a thing so I fell in love with the idea. After I did get engaged, my friend was able to get me the contact information for the woman whose work I saw pictures of. I reached out to her numerous times and left her several messages, but she never responded. Then it occurred to me that she couldn’t be the only person around who did this sort of thing so I started doing some research. Luckily, this is how I stumbled across Erika and her jaw dropping talent so I immediately reached out to inquire about booking her for my big day. Not only was she quick to respond, she answered every question I had with patience and kindness. She was friendly and provided all of the pricing options in a timely manner, including all of the details that go into what decides the final price (ie. size of the painting, how many people included, what moment you want captured, etc.) You also have the option of taking it home at the end of the night or waiting a few months, which gives her time to take the painting home and perfect her masterpiece m, which is so worth it! She even takes headshots of those individuals that you identify to be in the painting so that she ensures every detail will be included. We recently received our final product and were absolutely flawed. Yes, we have beautiful photos from the day, too, but there is just nothing like this unique way to remember the day! The original woman I reached out to not being responsive was a major blessing in disguise! I would recommended Erika 1000 times over. Can you tell? :)

I hired Erika to paint my beach wedding ceremony - and she did an absolutely stunning job. The painting came out excellent and was such a great gift to give my (now husband). Erika was amazing! My painting turned out absolutely beautiful and I actually was upset that I was holding my train during the first dance (that's what I asked her to draw) and she actually looked at other pictures of my train and went ahead and added it for me! I would give more than 5 stars if i could! I cannot say enough good things about Erika and her work product. Our painting is absolutely incredible - something we will have forever. Our family and friends can't get over the likeness of the painting to all of us -- it is spot on. Erika captured all of the elements that are most important to us and had the details down perfectly, from the chandeliers, to our cake, to the wedding dress and flowers/tablescape. Erika was an absolute delight to work with and her talent is just amazing. I still can't get over how great it looks and how quickly it was finished!
