We had an amazing experience working with JJ from Essen Entertainment! He was an absolute pleasure to collaborate with and truly went above and beyond to customize the song I walked down the aisle to—such a special moment for my husband and me. JJ was always communicative, making sure our music choices were perfectly woven throughout the evening. His energy is infectious, and his natural talent really shone through! One of the highlights of our reception was playing JJ’s own country music that he wrote and recorded; it added such a personal touch to our celebration. JJ was an excellent DJ and MC for our wedding day. He made the event stress-free for us by tailoring a playlist with some of our suggestions. The guests all really enjoyed his DJing skills and were dancing the whole night as well. Also he was able to announce the different events throughout the night and seamlessly let people know where they should be going next. He also provided an excellent Photo Booth that all our guests absolutely loved and was a major hit because they got to take the prints home with them. Taylor did an excellent job working the Photo Booth and she was super patient with all our guests who wanted lots of photos. His audio system was excellent as well. When things go exactly according to plan, you don’t even notice. And that’s how things were with JJ’s services, seamless. We would definitely recommend him to any of our friends and relatives.

From the first meeting with JJ, we knew we were in good hands. He is very knowledgeable, professional, and fun! He set us up with DJ Luis, who was a pleasure to work with. Luis helped the night go flawlessly with a great technical setup, awesome music, and fantastic MC work. Luis is just a great guy, and I'm really happy he was a part of our wedding. The photo booth was awesome as well! Lots of fun props and a couple attendants all night.

DJ Ivan was absolutely fantastic. His communication leading up to the event was always very speedy, and he did a great job of accommodating last-minute changes to music for some of our key moments. My now husband and I were very worried about this step in planning our wedding, as we have a very broad range of musical preferences and were worried any old DJ would have a hard time catering to everyone. We wanted people on the dance floor all night long! We were also having trouble finding a bilingual DJ for our Spanish/English wedding until we were matched with DJ Luis by JJ at Essen Entertainment. They send a super long PDF of songs to choose from as well as encourage you to submit your own playlist for the DJ to create something unique just for you. I was able to talk with JJ and DJ Luis via email before the wedding to talk about cutting a couple of songs as well as sending him inspiration for our musical vibe in the days leading up to our wedding. There were only two slow moments on the dance floor the day of our wedding (last call and in preparation for the sendoff) but when things looked like they were going to slow down DJ Luis knew just what to do to get the party going again! He did a great job traveling with my husband and I for our first dance to accomplish the dancing on a cloud look (which I would recommend to everyone!). Overall we had a great experience and the payment plan helped us balance the cost with all of our other vendors. Would definitely recommend if you want a personalized, professional entertainment experience!

I cannot recommend enough JJ and his team! His team made it extremely easy to pick songs for our reception, and as the Type A bride that I was I also had a long list of specific songs that I had for pre-ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. I truly believe that music can tell a story, and I wanted the music to kind of start off calm and then lead into the reception hype music. As my now husband and I both love K-Pop music, he also helped us with playing a K-Pop playlists. My nieces came up to me multiple times throughout the night RAVING about the songs he was playing and how it was easily the BEST WEDDING they've ever gone to haha. We also used their photobooth for our reception as well, and this also was a huge hit. Ivan was so helpful with the photo strip designs and we had an amazing time taking photos. They also gave us a book at the end of the evening with a copy of all of the photos that were taken throughout the night and my husband and I sat through and looked at all of the photos when we got to our room. Our wedding was TRULY an amazing day and night. I would also like to add that our wedding was the day after Houston decided to have a huge snow storm, but JJ and his team had amazing communication and truly provided reassurance that they would do whatever they could to ensure that our day would still go smoothly. Truly JJ and his team are amazing and you cannot go wrong with using them for your wedding or any other event you may have!

We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ than Essen Entertainment and DJ Brian for our wedding! From the very first conversation, they were professional, enthusiastic, and incredibly attentive to our needs. DJ Brian was not only a master at reading the crowd but also had impeccable timing with every song. They kept the dance floor packed all night long, creating the perfect energy for every moment—from our first dance to the high-energy party vibes later in the evening. Their playlist was exactly what we envisioned, and they seamlessly blended our requests with their own creative choices, making sure every guest, young and old, had a great time. On top of their incredible music skills, Dj Brian was also a phenomenal emcee—keeping the night flowing smoothly with clear, fun, and engaging announcements. I wanted a way that I could get a picture with all my guests without me and my husband having to run around table to table(sweaty bride over here) and DJ Brian had the idea of doing a "photo dash". We sat in chairs on the dance floor and had each table come up one by one. What made it the dash was we were trying to get a picture with all the tables before the song was over. It was SO fun and the pictures were so fun to look back on while getting a picture with everyone that was there! We received countless compliments from our guests about how amazing the music was, and we truly felt like our wedding was elevated to the next level because of their talent. It was very clear from our initial phone call that he was going to be so fun and great to work with. I can't say enough good things about working with DJ Scott Morrison with Essen Entertainment. From our first meeting to talk about our vision, to his guidance on special songs for various events of the evening, to his ability to keep the dance floor going. He read the room well and played music according to our taste but also according to what was working for the crowd. He also let my husband's son hang with him to play a few songs, which was a big hit for him. He loved "getting to DJ ". His professionalism and service were 10 out 10. JJ was great to work with during all the of the initial set up and explaining how it all works and coordinating with Scott and also Javier,who did our photobooth. The photo booth was a big hit as well. Our guests had a lot of fun on the dance floor and at the photo booth, plus we got to have a physical and digital copy of all images to keep at the end of the wedding. Had a great experience with Essen entertainment! From the moment we inquired, to the very end, they were very responsive. Did a DJ package and photo booth package through them, and everything turned out great. Our DJ was Ivan, and he was awesome! Very experienced in his field, and we had an absolute blast! My only constructive comment is that the transitions from song to song during the actual wedding ceremony could’ve been a bit smoother/less harsh. I did pick very specific songs (and some that started in the middle of the song and not the beginning) so I may have been asking for something a little challenging, but nothing I thought was impossible to gently fade in and out. All in all, we were happy with our experience and would book Essen Entertainment again!

Starting out, we had the strings trio for our ceremony, and they were absolutely amazing! As I walked up to the door (as the bride), I heard them playing and I immediately smiled because I knew it was a perfect addition to the day! Karen and the strings trio did amazing! Next we had DJ Brian for our cocktail hour and reception. He did amazing! He was energetic and enthusiastic! He made sure names were correctly said and that everyone was excited for things coming up. I (the bride) had a last minute song change that I texted him to see if it would be possible to change with my dad. He made it happen and it was perfect. He did anything we asked and gave us lots of instruction with what was going to happen. He truly was the best!

Great experience with Essen entertainment. Very good comminication prior to and during the event. Our venue had some complications with AV equipment, but they did really well adapting to it. Max was really good to work with and knew how to match the energy in the room pretty well. Was a great wedding with great music!

DJ Scott did a PERFECT job on our wedding day! He did a phone call with us about a month out and took time to ask important questions and get all the details ironed out. I provided him with a list of about 15 “must plays” and 5 to avoid and he was able to sense out the vibe perfectly. I really appreciate the time he spent getting to know us as a couple and working to make our day run smoothly. I cannot recommend Scott enough!

I never knew how just much a DJ would impact my wedding day. JJ went above and beyond for my day starting from our very first conversation. He worked with me to make his services easily available for me and always communicated promptly and efficiently. He was very thorough with advising me on song choices and made a specific edit for my bridal march per request. He even helped assess and gave advice on my timeline since I didn’t have a coordinator. All in all, he went above and beyond and is worth every penny.

Fabulous JJ the DJ!! We hired JJ based on his reputation and we were so happy we did! He really brought the FUN to our event along with class and professionalism. Our event wasn’t a wedding, but I think it was even more challenging to run than a wedding as he had to play different types of music at different times and introduce speakers at different times interspersed with music. He had a great awareness of the crowd and what to play when, when to speak, etc. Communication leading up to our event and throughout the night was so good!! He really cared and wanted to understand what our event was, what the crowd would be like, etc. He listened and delivered!! The best part, of course, was when we finally got to the dancing!! He kept the crowd and music going and everyone had a FABULOUS time!! I highly recommend JJ for any event as he can adjust to your needs. He is fun and professional and would make any event Top Notch!! Would definitely hire him for a wedding!! 100%%!

JJ was very professional, responsive, and helpful when it came to understanding our timeline. We had a very specific playlist we wanted. He was accommodating and excited to enjoy some of the new music with us. During the wedding itself, JJ was fully engaged in the happenings of our timeline. He worked very well with our coordinator and venue manager to help us stay on top of the next step. JJ also treated us like he truly cared about our wedding specifically. I would think it would be so easy to write weddings off after having to work them so often, but not once did we ever feel like we were just another number with JJ.

DJ Justin was amazing at our wedding! We were so lucky to have him! He really took good care of our couple and was great at communicating . We had a majority church and asian group so we were a little worried that people would not be at the dance floor but DJ Justin made the mood at most people came out and had such a good time. Really really recommend the photobooth package because our guest enjoyed that so much and in the end his team sent me a collection of the photos which was really nice to have. Taylor from his team came out and supervised and helped the photobooth making it a very smooth and fun experience for our guest! Also, the DJ did something called the last dance which was amazing! We really cherished that time and is one of our favorite moments!

If you are contemplating the price, let me just say it is worth every penny and more! These guys went above and beyond their roles. DJ Scott was amazing and made all of our emo dreams come true. He rolled with the flow and even helped us get back on track when our timeline got messed up! JJ was so professional, so communicative, so fun, and made our night so special. Even when we got things to him after deadlines there were no issues, and he was kind and understanding through the whole process. We could not have asked for a better DJ, and the Photobooth service as well as the other add-ons are amazing. His prices are unbeatable for how perfect everything runs. DJ Ivan was fantastic and very professional, and made our wedding a night to remember. Everything went off without a hitch (except for my husband and I getting hitched)! He knew just how to read the crowd and get them excited or chill depending on the moment. He was very communicative throughout our wedding experience and responded to my messages and requests very promptly. Wow ! From the beginning JJ was so accommodating and in constant communication with us. We had the BEST time at our wedding! DJ Brian was awesome! JJ was amazing! He listened well to what we wanted for the feel of our reception and used his expertise to curate the perfect music for the night. I kept thinking I would take a break from dancing at “the next song”, but each next song was as good as the last. The dance floor was packed all night!

We contracted Essen Entertainment for DJ and photobooth services. Overall, we are satisfied with this decision and the services provided. DJ Ivan was professional, flexible with the timeline, played the music we chose in a fun order, and MC’d in both English and Spanish, which was great for our Spanish-speaking guests. On the day of, he also introduced himself in person (to my husband and I) and verified the timeline, which we appreciated. However, communication from him could have been better in the lead up to our wedding date – some emails were not responded to for several business days (up to 5 days). With regards to the photobooth, the props and services were excellent. However, one of the main things we inquired about when we initially booked Essen was if print outs were provided and if so, how many per picture (e.g., if a picture contained 5 people, could all 5 get a printout?). We were told everyone in a picture should be able to get a printout without any issue. Unfortunately, on the day of, the attendant would automatically try to Airdrop the photos and didn’t check or ask if the guests wanted a printout. My mom, for example, was unable to obtain a printout for several of the pictures she took, which was upsetting to me. Besides these minor issues, we were overall happy with the DJ and photobooth attendant.

We had DJ Ivan and were so happy with him! He was prompt returning messages and super helpful during the planning process. Our dance floor was packed for 2 hours straight - perfect vibes! We highly recommend having the audio guest book with the fun phones. Listening back on all the heartfelt and funny messages our guests left us on our wedding day is so special. We are especially grateful to be able have voice messages from our grandparents to cherish forever.

The communication has been quick and consistent from the moment we booked until the wedding day. They really listened to our needs and delivered.
