Kari, Joe, and Kenneth were an awesome team for our ceremony and reception and even braved the elements while it rained during our planned photo time. Absolute pros!

We just got the photos the other day and were very happy with the work they both did! My husband also used Essence for him and his groomsmen's formal wear. Gerry was wonderful to work with and my husband loved his tux that Gerry helped pick! Highly recommend!

Half of bridesmaids have hair in their faces on photos. First look ended up in the alley. Pictures we received were untouched, some of them even completely blurry, nobody even checked them. They said we would need to pay extra for edits but basic photo touches should be part of professional photography- maybe im wrong. DJ came unprepared even though we set a list of what songs comes on when and what songs and types not to play. Messed up so many songs order including walk in for myself , the groom. Youre better off hiring anyone else. For music especially, ask your neighbor to play premium youtube and you’ll get a better set list.

d job with capturing photos that weren’t posed. We were not disappointed! Nora made the process as easy as humanly possible and very comfortable. She was able to read us easily and could tell when the group was getting restless and even could tell if I wanted certain photos without me saying. Nora was the only photographer but managed to capture all the photos we could have hoped for. The ceremony photos were beautiful but the reception photos perfectly captured the night. The quality of the photos when we got them was spectacular. Additionally, the entirety of the photos were sent to us within just over 4 weeks despite the fact that they had 8 weeks. Lastly, we booked the DJ through essence as well (spinning’ discs) and Nora and the dj worked together great which made it that much easier. If you’re considering essence, do it - you will not regret!

He knew exactly what he was doing and made the process so much fun. Around sunset, Julian and Nora had us take some awesome golden hour photos. We would sincerely recommend our amazing team. my first time hiring a photographer, and my first conversation with Ron put me at ease right away. Everyone I spoke with at Essence was personable, kind, and patient, and the website is very user friendly. Unfortunately, the photographer that we had chosen had an emergency the week before the wedding and was unable to make it, but Peggy found a replacement right away (and took care that the replacement had a similar style to the one we chose originally) and contacted me to let me know and put me in touch. Nora became our wedding photographer, and it felt like she was a member of the family! She did a wonderful job making everyone feel comfortable, and was very conscientious about getting all of the important shots. She brought another photographer from Essence who was working to build his portfolio, and he was also great to work with! We got our photos back three weeks after the wedding, and they are gorgeous! We couldn’t be happier with the service we received from Essence, and would highly recommend them to any couple.

Ryan has clearly been doing this for a while - he was incredibly thoughtful in framing, posing, and generally providing direction (like always be smiling, try moving your hand over here, try turning your hips towards me, etc.). We had a pretty rambunctious crew for the wedding party and family and both Ryan and Danisha handled it amazingly. The company is also incredibly communicative and their web forms make it really easy to share details to make sure everyone is on the same page. *apologies if I misspelled your name!
