About this vendor
I’m Esther Griffin, a Savannah wedding photographer specializing in elegant, emotion-forward celebrations. I photograph in Savannah and throughout the Low Country, including Charleston, Bluffton, Sea Island, and St. Simons Island. I also travel around the U.S., and on occasion, internationally.
Trained as a journalist, I shoot a refined mix of digital and film, using both modern and vintage photography equipment. My work focuses on emotional storytelling, refined details and celebrations designed with care.
My approach is calm and intuitive. I give space for moments to unfold naturally, with a full-circle awareness that extends beyond the obvious moments. While one grand moment is happening, countless others are unfolding around it: a glance exchanged, a breath held, a tear brushed away.
My goal is simple: to preserve your wedding weekend with clarity, warmth and intention - so years from now, you don't just remember how it looked, but how deeply it was felt.
If you need any further information, if you're ready to have a conversation, or if you want to check availability, please reach out! I would be honored to talk with you.

sion with Esther about two months before our wedding date. However, Esther let us know immediately that she was available and we were absolutely thrilled as her beautiful online portfolio speaks for itself! If you are looking for a soft yet sublimely romantic style, then look no further!
Maggie, her lovely assistant, was also so helpful and sweet and was always available if we had any questions.
On the day of our wedding, Esther was absolutely amazing! She took some lovely bridal portraits, first look & ceremony photos, as well as gorgeous photos around Savannah.
I can also say that I am so elated with all of our beautiful wedding photos! And they are all the more special because I don't normally take pictures.
Thank you for recommending Nabia Beauty! Her bridal makeup and bridal hairstyle skills are superb, and they absolutely complement your photography style so beautifully!
And of course, please accept my immense gratitude to you both once again, Esther and Maggie, for all of your help on our special day! We truly appreciate it!
Despite the rain, Esther was absolutely incredible! We even have a spectacular photo with an enchanting rainbow!
Please rest assured that no matter the circumstances or the weather, Esther’s magnificent artistic eye, imagination, and resourcefulness will always deliver stunning photos that you will undoubtedly treasure for a lifetime.
So please don't look further and don't hesitate to reach out to Esther if you need someone for your dream wedding photography!
Esther is a master photographer at the top of her craft, and I can promise with complete confidence, you will not regret it and you will love the results! You will be in excellent hands, I guarantee it!

party/wedding day perfectly!! Our photos turned out incredible. Esther is truly so talented - she knows how to get the best angle, lighting, and the most from the people who are on the other side of the camera. Not to mention, her energy and calm demeanor is simply unmatched. She made everyone feel so calm and comfortable during the portraits and then during the reception she was in the middle of the dance floor capturing the party! I could not recommend Esther more - hiring her as our wedding photographer was the best decision we made.
Esther was THE best photographer for our whole wedding planning process and the big day! She was beyond kind yet, kept the party moving when it needed too. We are in love with our ...

Trust me, just stop looking and book Esther now before her schedule gets even busier. My husband and I get so excited to open every email from Esther, reminding us of all the magical moments we had. Esther was always on time and ready for rain or shine. She is so accommodating to our needs! Thank you for everything Esther, can’t wait to see you again!

r went out of her way to make sure that my wedding day as the bride went as smoothly as possible, and made my husband and I feel so comfortable on our wedding day. And by the way, her photos were a dream - exactly what we had hoped for our big day. Half of them are going on the walls of our house and the rest are being sent as gifts to family for upcoming holidays. Anyway -- you'd be crazy not to book her right this second!
Esther is truly A DREAM. She did our engagement shoot and wedding day, and made all of it painless! Even my camera-shy husband commented that our engagement shoot was "honestly not...
that bad"...high praise! Esther is the perfect combination of professional and personable. She got the best shots, incorporated our feedback and dealt with a small hiccup quickly and seamlessly! It felt like a friend snapping some photos on the biggest day, and we'll treasure the beautiful images she got for the rest of our lives.

ing day! She is was so efficient and took so many gorgeous photos but didn't make anyone feel like they spent hours getting their photos taken. She even drove me (the bride) to our first look location and then took both of us to the venue afterwards so we didn't have to get sweaty before the ceremony! Our pictures turned out amazing! I have been to weddings where the photographer is very noticeable snapping photos on the dance floor (which can make the party a little weird) but I never seemed to notice Esther was even there! She is such a sweet soul and genuinely loves what she does!
I can’t recommend Esther enough!! When your wedding day is over all you have left of it is the memories and the photos. I have only received my wedding previews and I am absolutely...
obsessed with them. I worried in the weeks leading up to the wedding that I wouldn’t like the way I looked in my photos but no with Esther’s talent (and a little hair and make up) I looked gorgeous in the photos. Everything was gorgeous. I love Esther because while she is sweet and fun she is there to to do her job and she is not afraid to tell someone when they are in the way, which I soooo respect considering family members often don’t understand things such as a schedule. I can’t recommend her more. Truly the best of the best.

joy everything about our special day. She is an absolute professional who knows all the best locations for photos, her photography style is simply gorgeous, and she made all of us all so comfortable in front of the camera such that it felt like we were just just enjoying a lovely afternoon with a dear friend. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does and she captured moments that we will cherish forever. The only difficult part has been deciding on our favorite shots because we love them all!

to spend the day with. Her pictures blew us away. The quality, details, and moments she captured are truly amazing. Do yourself a favor and take one less stress off of your plate, and choose Esther, you will be so happy you did!
Ladies, look no further for a wedding photographer! Your search stops here! I can guarantee you will not find anyone as wonderful or talented as Esther! Esther truly went above and...
beyond her call of duty as a photographer. Our wedding venue told us 4 months before our wedding date that they would not be able to accommodate as many guests as they had originally promised us (we had already invited the max amount of guests). Esther swooped in and saved the day. She immediately began reaching out to her contacts in Savannah regarding who had availability and could accommodate that many guests on our date! She sent us multiple options and gave her expert opinion on each! She eased so many of my worries and all of my stress! On our wedding day, Esther did such a wonderful job of keeping things on track and wrangling our families LOL. She had so much patience and professionalism but was also assertive enough to ensure that we got all the pictures that we wanted to get. I received the sneak peek of the wedding day pictures 3 days after our big day and they are absolutely GORGEOUS!!! We are thrilled with Esther's work. She captured the day so beautifully! Thank you so much for making our dreams come true, Esther!! We love you! Annie & Harrison

sm made our entire experience stress-free. She did an engagement session, bridal portraits, rehearsal dinner and our ceremony and reception. I highly recommend the talented Esther! My favorite part of the whole experience was that no photos ever felt forced. Her process is so organic and FUN! She is there giving you all the support while capturing the love and life that naturally comes with the joy of getting married! Thanks, Esther!! You are the BEST!

g with Esther. She and her team are extremely organized, too! They were able to quickly move our engagement shoot around for weather when we were only in town for a few days, accomodated my (many) specific photo requests, etc. We were thrilled with our choice. Also I showed Esther a few shots on Pinterest that I was dying to replicate and she re-created them all perfectly. Esther, if you're reading this, I can't thank you enough and I hope you can find time in your busy calendar to travel for our future photography needs!!!
I cannot say enough good things about Esther. I knew I wanted to work with her within 5 minutes of talking over the phone. She has a true talent with photography. She made everyone...
comfortable and took all the awkwardness away from being in front of a camera, reduced stress, and kept everyone on schedule! We had a very tight timeline on my wedding day and Esther and her team (big shout out to Tabitha) somehow made it all work. She truly added to the day and experience.
I booked Esther Griffin as my wedding photographer, and even before I met her, my other vendors I spoke to sung her praises. She is well known in the industry as being a true profe...
ssional. My florist called her "Mary Poppins" and said she'd get everything done efficiently and perfectly, and that is absolutely what she did. Not only is Esther the best photographer on the planet (the photos she took are so breathtaking) but she is so kind, and made all the other aspects of my day fun and perfect. I'm pretty sure Esther could also be a wedding planner and a tour guide of Savannah if she had the time!
Esther will take you to all the best photography spots in the city with punctuality, cheeriness, and professionalism. And then when you receive your photos (she'll get them to you lightning fast!) your breath will be taken away. She will help you with your dress, she'll wrangle your family together to get photos, and she will do it with a smile!
A true pro. A wonderful woman. 10/10.

from, to the Zoom phone call, to the actual engagement and wedding day, Mrs. Esther left no room for error. And to top it off, she has the most beautiful and captivating personality that is so genuine. We absolutely love all of our photos (the only downfall is trying to decide out of all them which ones to hang up!). I would absolutely recommend any one in search of a photographer who you want to capture candid moments along with personalities in the photographs to absolutely reach out to Mrs. Esther, she was worth every penny and some!
Esther is a true professional, we loved working with her. The pictures she took look fantastic and we would highly recommend her for any photos you need!

eye for capturing the beauty of the city and the love between me and my husband. Esther is also just so kind and personable. As a New Yorker, I’ve had many professional photos over the years but none that I’ve loved more than these. She knows just how to direct you to get the perfect shot. I will cherish her photos for ever!
Esther is an outstanding professional photographer who not only did an amazing job of capturing the most iconic moments of our daughter’s wedding but actually helped to create even...
more special moments than we could have imagined. She even managed to turn a bump in the road, like getting locked out of the bridal suite with the entire bridal party while shooting pre-ceremony candids in their pajamas, into a photographic archive recording an unexpected adventure that made that special day even more unique. Her instincts and artistic IQ enable her to know exactly what to do in order to capture the true essence of the wedding and its participants. We cannot recommend her enough. She is the best!

is very fair, especially for something so important that will last forever and you’ll always have to look back at. We did an engagement mini session before the wedding which helped us get to know each other and I think it helped make the wedding day smooth and personal. My husband and I loved how she coached us through photos and gives feedback as you go (he doesn’t love being in front of the camera and our end products are magazine worthy tbh) our family and bridal party portraits after the ceremony were quick and my whole family absolutely loved her.
I would recommend Esther to anyone getting married!! I actually asked my husband if we can have another wedding so we can hire her again lol
Esther is the absolute best! She is so organized, so talented, and so sweet! Our photos are beautiful and we couldn’t thank her enough!!

as able to capture amazing pictures that we will always cherish. She even shooed people out of the way when we were taking pictures in public and they were going to be in the background 😂
She also was so good at planning ahead with me, I was having a difficult time planning and nailing down a date and specifics because of COVID but she was so flexible and awesome to work with.
I wasn’t expecting to have my photos immediately but I was happily surprised when they came through 24 hours later! All my photos beautifully edited already! It was such fast timing!
I would definitely reccomend Esther for your day!

est and most meaningful days of your life. And Esther is absolutely the most wonderful, kind, and talented photographers you could possibly find!
My husband I are definitely not used to having our photo taken often, so we were a little nervous about feeling uncomfortable posing and having our pictures taken all day. However Esther made us feel completely comfortable instantly, and we actually had SO much fun all day with her! She is so sweet and kind, and just has the most calming and reassuring presence. Her attention to detail and her extreme professionalism made our day run so smoothly, we had no stress at all!
And the final product - oh my goodness!! I tear up every time I look at her beautiful photographs. She captured so many precious moments during our day. We have beautiful photos from every point of our day. Some of my favorites are the amazing candid shots she captured during our reception! It’s truly amazing to be able to look back and relive those moments. Her work means so much! And the turn around time is astounding, I had our pictures back WAY before I expected them (which is awesome because I know every newlywed is anxious and excited to get them back!)
We honestly couldn’t have found a better photographer. Esther is simply amazing, and such a joy to work with!

vel!!! I met Esther in Savannah on one of my visits since my now husband and I were having a destination wedding. Esther is amazing at capturing photos and is passionate about her clients and work. She took her time to get to know me and what I wanted captured, she never missed a beat! Esther was patient with me and my several family members on wedding day and her styling kit was absolutely gorgeous! She was so enjoyable to work with, always flexible, and even stayed past the time in our timeline because she wanted to capture every single moment. I am so thankful that Esther and Makenzie captured our perfect day. She made me forget that we were in the middle of a pandemic because of how beautifully she captured every moment. I can't wait to see the rest of our incredible photos!

She has excellent local recommendations for hair/make-up/florists/etc. She truly goes above and beyond. Forget the rest - you're wasting your time browsing for a top-notch photographer if you don't choose her. She's worth every minute and every dime.

t. From beginning to end we felt comfortable, relaxed and confident that she was going to capture every bit of this special day for us. She brought us around the town of Savannah where the scenery was perfect for what we had in mind. In each location, she placed us in poses that captured such sweet and intimate moments. The gallery was presented to us quickly and had us looking at the pictures over and over in awe. Our family and friends have enjoyed looking through the gallery and they are just as impressed as we are. This was important to us because we were eloping and wanted them to share the day with us somehow. We highly recommend Esther if you are looking for the perfect photographer to trust with the memories of your priceless, once in a lifetime, never going to get back... wedding day!

dding plans were thwarted by Covid and we ended up having an intimate (lovely) ceremony at my childhood home. Although far from Savannah and not what we’d planned, Esther traveled to us and made the day just perfect. (She even gave us hints like how to do the ‘cut the cake’ part, as we had no idea!).
The photos she took are absolutely stunning shots (and we already have our gallery!). She took gorgeous photos of my husband and I, our family, the details, dancing, flowers, our pup... every part of our wedding day. We’ll cherish these forever.
If you’re looking for a photographer and if Esther’s available, consider yourself incredibly lucky.
