We had solid reviews from our guests about how great the cake was and that was really important to me to have a great tasting cake. Decorations or specialities aren't really their thing so we just embellished with flowers and it was perfect. If you want a great tasting cake and great customer service- I would definitely recommend Eston's.

I asked for blush (emailed them a paint swatch from Sherwin Williams) and it ended up being a bright pink/coral color. Everything else was wonderful (delivery, etc), but I was unhappy with the color of the cake.

My only peeve ultimately comes from not reading our contract closely enough (so read, read, and read again)... We paid for delivery of the cakes to our wedding site, and I thought that included set up of the cakes. The stands were out and ready to go, so I assumed they would unbox the cakes, set them on the stands, and then leave. They only delivered the cakes in their boxes and then my mom, a few cousins, and our florist actually unboxed and placed the cakes where they needed to go. At first my mom was very upset, so I quickly retrieved the contract, and sure enough it did state that unless they were providing the stands, there was no set up with delivery. That was completely my bad and is why I am not taking away any stars from this review. I more so just wanted to make people aware that it helps to read everything you're signing AND understand it :) By far Eston's was the most affordable baker we had found that could provide us with enough cake to feed a small army! Thank you, we can't wait to get our anniversary cake!

Being from NY originally, we had some pretty high standards on what we wanted from a visual perspective as well as from a taste perspective. Tony, Janeen and the entire staff went so far above and beyond in every aspect of our desserts. We had guests from all over the country and all we heard was how they had never tasted anything so delicious. The cake was light and tasty. The finger desserts were OUT OF THIS WORLD. Tony was amazing to work with. From the first time we met at our initial consultation until the last desert was perfectly placed, Tony was a true professional who guided our wedding journey to success. Overall, I could not have asked for a more incredible experience!!!

date for delivery. The owner who did the consultation wasn't available so we were told to come back another day. So when we finally did, I had called ahead and told them we would be in on a certain day. When we showed up the owner was not prepared. He kept acting like we were such and inconvenience to him. He would not look us in the eye or directly talk to us, but buried his face in the paperwork. When it came time to taste he argued with us saying we had already tasted. He became extremely rude after that point and started making a big deal acting as if we were such an inconvenience. When we finally were able to taste the flavors, there were only 6 half-bite sized pieces of cake (No bigger than the size of a quarter and 1 of each of the basic flavors) for us to SHARE! We had anticipated to try some of their more exotic flavors because we were preparing to pick those. I couldn't believe how we are spending hundreds of dollars on a cake, and he couldn't spare to allow us each to have at least a full sized bite each! When it came to picking out the decoration, he kept rushing through each step and getting short with me. I could tell the girl helping him was embarrassed and seemed apologetic for his behavior. But he was incredibly RUDE! At this point my fiance was furious because we had driven 3.5 hours for this. However, we had already paid the deposit months ago so we couldn't walk out.

ar process to assist engaged couples in selecting their choice of cake style, flavor, quantity, etc. There was a verbal overview of what to expect from the appointment, a book of previous work, model cakes, and a chart of flavors, etc. (So many of the flavors were fantastic!) After sharing the necessary details and deciding on a flavor, we were given a very reasonable quote. My then fiancé and I didn't even have to go to the other vendor, our decision was made because we were so impressed by the professionalism at Eston's. (I have to add, we have always liked cakes at the other vendor very much-but their customer service over the phone was terrible and they don't even bother to consult with you. They were very rude on the phone and also only ask you to stop in to take a box of samples with you-no consultation.) Our cake turned out to be beautiful and we received compliments all night the evening of our wedding. It has been 5 weeks and we continue to get compliments on the cake. No regrets with our decision at all. Keep up the good work!

finish putting the place together. As I stand in my wedding dress, I got a call that I needed to come get my cake. Mind you I paid for delivery. It took several "hold on please", and not so nice words for them to finally say they will delivery my cake to me. I said I wanted to speak to the owners to inform him of this situation. No bride wants to hear while she is in her wedding dress to come get her cake when she already paid for it to be delivered. Stressed out as I was I did not need that added stress. The owner never called me after calling there several times to ask for him. He was always busy with other people. Now granted everyone loved the cake. We had none left. So I am happy with my choice in cake and the 3 their look. However the service and stress they caused me was not good. my husband said he would go back however it is going to take me a min before I ever order anything from them again.

However, When you compare the value, service and flavor, it is no competition. I still have guests telling me how amazing the cake was at the wedding, they say it's the best they've ever had. We had 3 flavors, Key Lime, Lemon Berry, and Chocolate Fudge. We had actually waited a little too long to order our cake, and by the time we did they were fully booked for deliveries that day. We had a family member pick the cake up the day of the wedding, that is how badly we wanted Eston's.

poor. Had I not already loved their cake, I would have switch vendors after my first encounter. The ladies were rude when on the phone and even with my first consultation I was less than impressed with their customer service. At the end of the day, my wedding cake was amazing and everything to do with the cake and cupcakes turned out perfectly, but their customer service was extremely poor and the people were rude, So you weigh your options. I think people working with brides should be extra friendly and happy.

hat was slightly inconvenient but it was worth it. The cakes tastes great and it was just what I wanted, simple and clean. I liked how they don't do fancy decorations, I just had simple flowers that my florist arranged on them that day.

ake a picture I showed them of a fondant cake with a fondant bow and create it for me out of their frosting and ribbon and it was perfect! Their customer service was just phenomenal. I had several vendors that were a complete nightmare (Mon Ami Winery ha!)and I was so done dealing with vendors by the time of my wedding- but every time they called I was thrilled- they called several times just to check in, to double check the count, to make sure that the ribbon was mailed etc... It was such a relief to have someone be so helpful! I'll admit- at the time we were looking for a bakery they had some long intimidating explanation on their website about some bad review and it kind of scared me at first - but don't let it deter you! They are amazing! So so helpful with a delicious and beautiful product. I can't say thank you enough to them for being THE BEST vendor of my entire wedding. My husband and I are telling everyone how great they were!

flavor for each tier: white chocolate silk, chocolate supreme, almond zebra, and strawberries-n-creme. I love that we did not need to freeze the top tier (gross) because they provide you with a fresh cake on your first wedding anniversary. They also have frequency cards so all of the times I stop in to get the small versions of our wedding cake flavors earn me free ones! They only do buttercream icing, which is definitely the way to go. I originally wanted fondant because you can do more design-wise. Eston's isn't very flexible when it comes to design but they did work with me on getting as close to the design I wanted as possible. I absolutely loved the look of my cake and of course the taste! I would recommend Eston's to anyone needing cake or desserts!

h I got so many compliments on. Did i mention that it's not too bad on the wallet? You pay for your display cake, but beyond that it's a buck a slice. That's crazy cheap in the cake world, trust me. What I loved most about Estons is they were very flexible. My mother used to decorate cakes and they gave us extra frosting so she could put the borders on and set it up herself. I highly recommend.

The flavors that we did try were not as spectacular as I remembered them being at the show. Since we live down in Columbus, the manager told us to just come back next time we're in town and he would make sure we would get to taste the flavors we missed. Luckily, I have a friend who was moving from Toledo to Columbus next week who offered to pick up samples for us to try. I called Estons and was told that they had discontinued 2 flavors- 1 we liked and 1 we really wanted to try. There was no mention of this at our tasting literally 5 days ago. I was also told to call them back the day that my friend would be stopping in so they could "check and see if they had anything available". Overall, we experienced terrible customer service and I will not be trusting them with something as important as my wedding cake.

They offered 14 set designs and you couldn't really change anything or make any unique requests. We ended up choosing a smooth design because we wanted the focus on the cake topper. I only wanted a simple beaded design around the base of each layer but the color was not customizable (I had a specific tiffany blue for our wedding color). So we had to go with the basic cake edging. Unfortunately it was poorly executed on our cake and with it being the only icing accent, the cake looked rather cheap. So in summary...tasty, but not very pretty.

Good proportion to the cake, not overly sugary but nice and dense. Reasonably priced, easy to work with, best cake, can't go wrong.

Eston's for a consultation. What I found to be true is that the cake tastes amazingly delicious, but you are limited on your options. When planning your cake, they allow you to select only 2 flavors and your design needs to be "one of there's" meaning there is not much room for creativity. Fondant is, also, not an option. We had a complimentary tasting at the bakery for 4 people (my husband, myself, and our mothers) and when we left that day I was uncertain on some of the cake details. They were easy to work with when I decided on those "other details" and allowed me to change my mind as often as I needed until our cake was exactly what I wanted. I would rate the presentation, quality, and taste of the cake a 5 out of 5.

since our initial meeting so we had to adjust our flavor portions. This simple task took the young worker (Dominic ) much longer than it should have as he was confused most of the time. Luckily the owner came in as he was struggling and helped him out. Also during this meeting I noted that I would no longer need to use their cake stand that my dad would be making one. He removed the charge for the stand but he apparently failed to note that it would still need to be three seperate cakes as it it originally was. When we picked it up on the Friday before our wedding the cakes were stacked on top of each other. Dominic first told my MOH who picked up the cake that it could be fixed so she left it there and then 5mins later called and told me that it would take two days to fix and there was nothing they could do about it. Never did he mention that they still had my cake because he told my MOH they could seperate the layers in time. Our wedding and recpetion were in bowling green and estons is in sylvania.... Not close to each other at all and we had arranged for our MOH to make a special trip to pick up the cake before our rehearsal eliminating having to drive across town on the day off. Estons should have had their facts straight before they told us to leave it there with no changes being made. When we called to ask if they would at least deliver the cake due to it being their mistake twice they told us it would cost us $100. So my father had to run up there on Saturday, when he had a million other things to do and transport a stacked cake (the only reason we agreed to pick it up in the very beginning is because they were supposed to be seperate and easier to transport) The way the situation was handled was horrible. The cake may have been good but I don't know if it was worth being treated so poorly over continually mistakes they made.

since we didn't really know where the Army would be sending us next - not to mention what his next duty position would be OR if he would be getting deployed. So as we moved forward with our planning we decided that we would use Eston's to do the cupcakes for our reception. We read some reviews and saw nothing but laudatory comments. If we only knew then what we know now. So we took the time to come home during his Christmas leave to take a look at a few venues and taste test Eston's. The testing went well and so we pulled the trigger - we paid for $275 worth of cupcakes (the full balance) over 10 months in advance. Leave it to a military officer and his fiance to be proactive about planning. Well, as the Army would have it, we got stationed far away from Toledo and he moved into Company Command - a very busy duty position that requires you to be glued to the Blackberry at all times. Given the change in circumstances, we thought it would make more sense to now have the wedding near our home since we didn't think it would be wise to take leave and travel all the way back to Toledo for the wedding given his increased responsibilities. So we notified Eston's in March (still 8 months in advance) to let them know so we could recoup our money. Fat chance. A sales associate told me that Eston's didn't refund orders, regardless of how much prior notice you give them. So we went back and forth for about a week since the owner was to "busy" to talk to me. Of course this kid didn't have the authority to make any decisions, so he would relay the owner's message, then my message, then the owner's message, et cetera. The outcome: they told me too bad, so sad and that someone from my family in the Toledo area could pick up 17 dozen gourmet cupcakes on the scheduled pick-up date of October 28th. The only consolation I received was a $30 check in the mail which was a result of me overpaying in some capacity. Never mind the sudden changes of plans on behalf of the Army which was totally out of our control. Hell, not even a "thank you for your service but..." The conduct of the Eston's staff was entirely unprofessional, apathetic, and ambiguous. The end result: I guess my future father-in-law will be taking 17 dozen gourmet cupcakes to the Cherry Street Mission.

hey were all delicious. We ended up going with the White Chocolate Silk (their own personal spin on the traditional white wedding cake) and Chocolate Raspberry. My husband and I received several compliments from our guests on how delicious the cake was. When I attend a wedding the last thing I typically remember is the cake and many of our guests have told us weeks after our wedding how great the cake was. Another great thing about Eston's is...instead of saving the top of your wedding cake and eating on your first anniversary...Eston's will give you a fresh cake topper for your first anniversary.
