When I first hired the owner of this company she was partnered with a different hair stylist under a different company name. My initial makeup trial was rescheduled for a month aft...
er the original appointment, I was understanding. The makeup during my trial seemed to be rushed, but again I was understanding because I knew she was not feeling well and I was late to the appointment because I got lost. After the first makeup trial I chose to hire the company because I felt like I'd built a decent relationship with both of the owners. I sent the deposit and signed some paperwork. I had decided on my makeup and hair to be done as well as my 5 bridesmaids; 6 in total. Fast forward just a couple months and I begin to receive texts from both the owner and the previous partner- they were each telling me they had dissolved their partnership and that I needed to choose who I wanted to have my business. What?! Totally unprofessional. I ultimately chose neither. The owner, Jaclyn, had convinced me to give her and her new hair stylist a chance and partake in another trial for both hair and makeup at no cost. I again drove up to an hour to have the 2nd trial. It went well and I gave them another chance. I paid the remaining balance for the 6 people total through credit card under Jenna's business account. Jenna was amazing at my hair and worked with me several times for me to choose a hair style. A week before the wedding I asked Jaclyn, the owner, if it were possible to add my mother and mother-in-law, how much it would cost and how early we would need to arrive. Jaclyn told me $200 and that we'd need to start an hour earlier. On the wedding day I had sent my mother and mother-in-law to the venue at 10am. 10:30 rolls around and my mother-in-law calls to ask me if they are in the right spot- they were. It turns out that the staff were just leaving their hometown and we're still an hour away. Jenna was not told that we had added two people and specifically asked if we still had 6 people total. Then, to my surprise, my makeup stylist, Jaclyn, calls to tell me, on my wedding day, that she would not be there to do the makeup and that she was sending another lady who was supposed to be a better artist than her. I'd never met her or had a trial with her. I had talked to her just 3 days earlier and there was no mention of her not being able to make it, but she had apparently been battling with pneumonia or some other serious ailment for 2 weeks. I was upset. Then she goes on to tell me that she had only known of 4 people and I had only paid for 4 and that she had graciously provided a 2nd trial at no charge. Not only was her new partner up to speed with the 6 people, but I had paid for 6 people months before the actual wedding. She then offered to still only charge me the additional 2 people and to come do my makeup for a night out of my choosing. Ya. Right. This was the 2nd major disappointment with the owner and both of her companies. I declined. She then asked if I even wanted her girls to come to my wedding.... I somehow held my composure and told her of course, I had no one else. Jenna did amazing on our hair and the makeup artist ended up impressing me much more than Jaclyn had. Jaclyn is possibly the most unprofessional business owner I have ever come across. If you hire her company, I highly urge you to hire Jenna and the younger makeup artist. However, I will never recommend this company to my clients at the wedding venue I work with.
