Just as important as the photos is how you feel while we’re capturing them. We’re all about reading the room, matching the energy, and making sure you feel comfortable and at ease in front of the camera. It’s a balance, getting the perfect shot without intruding on the moment. We’re there to preserve the memories in your gallery and in your heart, with care and empathy every step of the way.

Madeline Baughman is the executive assistant and second photographer working alongside Ethan W. Photography. With a strong eye for candid, editorial moments and a calm, grounded presence on wedding days, she supports everything from day-of logistics to behind-the-scenes coordination so couples feel relaxed and fully present.
She brings a thoughtful, people-first approach to every event, adapting quickly to different personalities and environments while keeping things organized and flowing smoothly. Madeline is especially attentive to the emotional side of weddings, helping clients feel comfortable, natural, and supported in front of the camera.
Her role is focused on enhancing the overall experience, assisting with setup, timing, details, and capturing meaningful moments that elevate the final story of the day.

I’m Ethan Wong, founder and photographer of Ethan W. Photography ✨I picked up my first camera when I was about eight years old and never really stopped. It’s genuinely the best job in my world and I couldn’t be happier doing it 🥹
Before photography became my full time life, I was a software engineer and I still code for my business today with a big focus on creating a smooth and thoughtful experiences for my clients. I work across a wide genre which lets me pull from a broad range of ideas + styles depending on what the moment calls for. Some days that means bold, editorial lighting and other days it’s soft, airy, or film-inspired. It always comes back to how the day felt and what matters most to you!
I believe e v e r y o n e is beautiful in their own way, and sometimes it just takes the right person to bring that out. Photography is emotional at its core, my goal isn’t to make everything look overly perfect or staged but to create images that feel so real yet deeply aesthetic in a way that still feels true to who you are 🤍

rtable- even for those who are not used to having their picture taken. He gave great cues and captured all the candies we wanted. He was always there ready to shoot when we wanted a photo. He got so many great shots within our four hour event and delivered them back to us in about 48 hours- which is unheard of for event photographers! We loved his vintage style and all of our photos were better than we could have imagined- even in a low light setting. Ethan is also extremely affordable compared to many other event/wedding photographers in the DMV, which was important for us. I would highly recommend hiring Ethan to take any important photos you may want or for your next event. We would gladly hire him again!

tos. Ethan made us look AND also feel amazing as we took photos as the natural hype man and he kept that energy up for hours into the reception. He was flexible even when our ceremony was pushed an hour back due to unforeseen traffic in DC and still made sure that we got all the important shots at a wedding venue that had cultural significance for me. We had several friends and family members asking where we had found the photographer, because his energy was truly addictive and everyone loved how he made others feel really good during the event.
