With complete respect to your feelings, I did want to provide my honest perspective and recount of the statements you shared in your review.  Prior to booking (which was less than a month before your date), we were transparent on the costs associated with our team/myself traveling in for your San Antonio wedding. As explained, it is a 4+ hour trip from the Houston area where I was traveling from. In regards to your change fee, when you requested for your timeline to end an hour later to your booking less than a week before your wedding, the change fee was implemented as I was then unable to provide services to my booked evening clients. In our contract, the client does acknowledge that if a timeline change is requested and causes disruption to the artist’s schedule, a change fee could be applied to the booking. When you requested this change in your timeline, we notified you of the change fee that we initiated at $95 (discounted from the $500 rate listed in your contract) to try to work with you as much as possible while having to re-arrange my obligations. I hope this provides further clarity to why this fee was applied to your booking.   Specifically, I would like to touch on your comments regarding my approach to your consultation. As an artist and a service provider, it is my utmost priority to take our due diligence in providing our expert breakdown of inspiration provided by our clients. You provided photos of high-intensity, full glam photos, and we walked closely through each photo in detail. We discussed that they would include a significant amount of coverage and makeup application, and we also spoke through that you requested a champagne/gold eye with a winged liner. Respectfully, I would never use the term "drag" when describing any level of makeup artistry, and I apologize if my descriptions of the looks led you to interpret that any other way. When you saw your rehearsal dinner makeup, you were visibly upset and voiced that it was too much for your liking. I did my very best to understand your concerns, and I stayed longer than the scheduled time to remove your foundation application as you essentially opted to not where foundation all together. I wanted to make sure that you felt beautiful and confident with these changes before I left that day. When reviewing your look and discussing your initial inspiration, you verbally voiced that you were unaware that you would actually not prefer a more dramatic, full coverage glam, and that you actually preferred more of the style of soft glam (which is our signature look on all platforms and our website) for your overall look.  Upon arriving on Friday at the venue, you shared that even after our pivoting in the overall look of your makeup you would prefer to do some of your makeup. I verbalized that I was more than happy to do as much or as little that you were comfortable with! Therefore, I applied your lashes, contour, body glow (complimentary), and intensified what you had applied per your request.   We do pride ourselves with providing services to women of all ethnicities as diversity is extremely important to our company and it is an untrue statement that our portfolio does not provide inspiration for a diverse clientele. Regardless of your belief of our lack of ability, our clients book us for our expertise in soft, natural glam. The inspiration photos that you provided were not what I would consider that style to be and I did my very best to achieve your requests for your final look.    Respectfully, I would also like to note that both days that I was on location, I felt unsafe and uncomfortable for many reasons.  Out of respect for you, I will not be sharing those details. If any of my team shared with me their similar feelings, I would have advised them to leave or request a change of location. After almost a decade in this industry, we still appreciate any and all feedback. We apologize that your experience with our company was anything less than extraordinary and we are always continuing to grow in our craft & artistry. Please know that we were honored to have you as an Etoilly Artistry Bride and we truly wish you all the best in this next chapter for you & your loved one!

We absolutely do our very best to provide a premium service and we are aware that our brides and clients are trusting the products and techniques involved in this luxury service when booking! When the artists stayed on-site for makeup touch ups, there was no evidence of the makeup moving, however there could have been many things that attributed to this shadow fall out/liner smudge as the evening went on. I did confirm with your makeup artist that waterproof mascara was in fact used on your wedding day, however there is a possibility this could have occurred from a different liner or shadow product used in your look. Again and most importantly, we recognize that this has impacted your photos and we do apologize that this happened! As stated in our email to you over the weekend, we refunded your wedding day makeup as an extension of our genuine apologies! We haven't heard back from you via email or call but please know that if you need anything else from us, you know where to find us!
