We love the photos Evan took. His style is a nice blend of classic and creative, and he was very open to our ideas too. We felt that due to the reasonable pricing, we didn't have to compromise quality, professionalism, and experience in order to meet our budget.

I appreciated his ability to pivot when necessary while maintaining a go with the flow & “can do” attitude. He was a very calm presence throughout the day. The photographs were a good mix of his direction with some of my ideas sprinkled in. He was very sweet, kind, & easy to work with. He also had our sneak peeks within a day or two after the wedding & our full wedding photo collection in less than a week after the wedding!! And the photos were absolutely beautiful! Everyone in our bridal party loved them! I definitely recommend him to anyone getting married in beautiful Tucson!

He came up with so many suggestions, ideas and thoughts for the wedding day and created a solid timeline. Day of, he came to say hello, scoped the venue, and started his magic. Through the whole night, Evan was kind, thoughtful, creative, funny, polite, the list could go on! Family though he was the greatest, they loved his personable and friendly demeanor. They were impressed with the way he was flexible and excited with our ideas and jumped into directing photos to make some amazing shots. It felt so easygoing and natural with how he led, but also so organized! We didn’t feel like just another photo session, we could see his care and though put into the whole event. We got a little sneak peak the next day, and we couldn’t believe the crisp, clear pictures. When we got the rest of the photos, they were incredible, it felt like we were reliving the wedding night! There were so many details captured that we missed day of and I’m grateful to have those pictures. For our engagement shoot we had some specific asks, and Evan stepped up to the challenge and made it happen. Once he knew what we wanted, he figured out how and when to make sure that we got the shot we wanted. We got so many compliments for our engagement shoot, in particular our save-the-dates precisely because he made our vision come true. For our wedding day, we had Evan and a videographer, and they worked so well together to make sure the final product was amazing. Evan was such a help during our wedding day, making sure we were not running behind schedule, and even helped reorganize our First Look to make sure that the moment was picture perfect! And it was!! Some of the images he got, we don’t even know how he got them! So good!! Evan’s style is laid back and candid shots. My husband really liked that Evan provides all photos of the wedding day, he researched and this was something that he did not like that other photographers limited. Evan provides a digital album, a USB, and print allowance based on package. I really liked that he was there for me, he took in all I said and followed my lead and did what was needed to get as close to what I imagined. Some general bridal advice, always be direct to your vendors about what you want, what poses, what you like most, what you want to capture, what theme you want to go with, and such. Your photographer, Evan here, will do what you ask, he is there to get your wedding pictures, not theirs. Without direction you never know what you are going to get, so help them to help you.

d called Evan and he happened to be free the day of the wedding. We met with him the next day which was the day before our wedding . As a bride, I was a mix of emotions and very leery to hire anyone due to the fact we were scheduled to get married the next day. Evan reassured me that everything would be fine and that the photos would turn out great. Believe me when I say, I am so happy our original photographers canceled on us. Evan did more then just take pictures, he captured memorable moments throughout our entire wedding day. I look at my photos and I’m taken back to that day. My entire bridal party, as well as many of my guest commented me on how professional and friendly he was to work with. He went above and beyond every expectation I had and was amazing to work with. He is extremely friendly and easy going. Evan got us some sample photos within days and we had our proofs in no time at all. With Evan we weren’t just given our photos on a thumb drive and left behind. He makes even receiving the photos special and was there to answer any questions I had when ordering my prints. I will definitely be keeping Evan in mind for future photo needs and would recommend him to all.

more comfortable in front of the camera on our wedding day. We chose to have our shoot on Mount Lemmon and asked Evan to pick out a couple spots since we had never been there. He ended up finding four incredible areas and even a beautiful area full of leaves that were changing colors for fall, we didn’t even know that existed in Tucson! We asked him to give us pose suggestions and he was so great “coaching” us through the photo shoot. As we got more comfortable we didn’t need as much help with posing but he would still offer a suggestion when we needed it. We had so much fun and were so excited to work with him again on our wedding day. I don’t even remember seeing him during the ceremony but he got so many great pictures and just blended in. We wanted to go to a different location between our ceremony and our reception that had special meaning to us. Evan happily followed us there and hiked probably around two miles with us to get to the areas where we wanted to take pictures. Even in a location he had never been he immediately knew where exactly where to position us for the best shot. He is so easy to work with and it feels like you are just hanging out with a friend the whole time. We were so happy with how quickly he got our photos to us both times and couldn’t believe how great they turned out! I am SO happy Evan was able to take our wedding photos because I can’t imagine them turning out any better than they did. Our families were so impressed with our wedding photos and I know Evan will be the photographer for all of our special events in the future.

We booked Evan because of all the reasons above, and because we wanted his more natural, authentic style of photography. He got some great couple pictures of us with just some slight suggestions on what we should do, never over posing us. After we did the formal family and couple shoots, he melted into the background of the wedding, completely allowing us to enjoy our day, while doing a great job of capturing our wedding and some really beautiful, natural moments between us and our guests. If you want someone who does a mix of naturally ‘posed’ couples pictures and someone to capture your day without intruding on it, Evan is your guy. We absolutely loved working with him and our wedding photos.

I could barely recognize myself in the mirror after having my makeup done for my wedding, but I see my best self smiling out of the pictures that he took that day. I selected him as part of an inclusive package at Saguaro Buttes, so I’m not sure what his normal pricing is, however, whatever his cut of the package pricing was probably charity work that he can write off for taxes compared to what his caliber of performance and delivery should charge. (Side note, if you are getting married at Saguaro Buttes with one of their packages, PICK EVAN, don’t even bother looking through the portfolios of the other photographers, just trust me). All that to say, his services were well worth twice what I probably ended up paying for them. Evan was very responsive and flexible, even meeting my husband and I last minute between Christmas and New Years to go over options and meet/greet. Like, 13/10 customer care people. I would place Evan right in the middle of the Bossypants/laissez faire spectrum of wedding photographers that I’ve witnessed (also as a bridesmaid). He was gently directive during family shots and didn’t fuss posing people forever. I barely noticed him during the ceremony or the rest of the evening, but when you look at the pictures, he was obviously *everywhere at once*… like a photo ninja. He did a great job candidly photographing people throughout the reception as well, and it was fun to look back and see aspects of the party/wedding that we weren’t directing witnessing. And, somehow, he pulled off a miracle and got really cute pictures of the 7 plus sugar crazed nieces and nephews and got them all looking at the camera and smiling? Wow, this man either had extra cupcakes up his sleeve, or is a child herding genius. I had told Evan that the scenery around SB was very important to me, and wow, he made us look like desert fawns and fairies getting married in our natural settings. It also helped that we had a monsoon roll through super dramatically, he captured every billowing cloud, saguaro, ocotillo, and HOLY COW YA’LL, THE SUNSET PICTURES. I can’t describe them, so I’ll just post. Evan is a natural setting photographer savant. Also, since he photographs a lot at SB, he is very comfortable and knows the exact angles and setups for everything, there’s no fussing around setting up a shot. He has everything down to a science. …. If it sounds like I’m raving, it’s because I am. He is that good…. If you’ve read this far and aren’t convinced yet, just meet with him.
