I strongly encourage anyone planning a wedding to read current reviews carefully before booking them. To start, the owner, Louis, canceled the couple’s scheduled tasting 35 minutes before it was supposed to begin due to illness. The couple had traveled from Arizona specifically for this appointment, and they weren’t able to reschedule right away due to their school schedule. The last-minute nature of the cancellation and lack of notice was unprofessional and frustrating. When the tasting was finally rescheduled, the couple chose the pasta bar and enjoyed the food. They also felt confident after meeting Louis, who reassured them he would be present at the wedding and handle everything professionally. Over the next nine months, I communicated repeatedly—via email and phone—that the groom had a serious allergy to peanuts, tree nuts, and eggs. Louis assured us this wouldn’t be a problem. The company was also hired for DJ services. The couple submitted a detailed schedule, music selections, and announcements in early May but never received a response. I had to follow up multiple times, and Louis was often chaotic and disorganized. Just days before the wedding, I had a final call with Louis to review all details—catering logistics, dietary accommodations for our guests- and the DJ timeline. He again confirmed everything was understood. On the Wedding Day Louis DID NOT show up. He didn’t notify anyone, and when the venue coordinator reached him, he said he wasn’t coming, sending two staff members in his place. I had never met these staff members. More concerning, the groom’s allergy was not communicated to the staff. The groom was served food that had been cross-contaminated with egg. When brought to the server’s attention, they simply scraped the plate and attempted to re-serve it without cleaning it—unaware of the allergy’s severity. The groom understandably felt insecure about the food at this point, as the staff could not guarantee its safety. The service team was understaffed, and tables weren’t cleared. Guests began clearing their own plates. The DJ experience was equally poor. With the exception of the ceremony and exit music, the couple’s music selections or announcements were not followed. There was no crowd engagement, and relatives had to step in to get attention before announcements. They even had to encourage people to get on the dance floor because the DJ didn’t make an effort. Adding to the issues, the microphone didn’t work during the ceremony, and the officiant was barely heard. After the wedding, I contacted Louis to share our concerns. He initially responded but quickly became defensive and dismissive. At the continued insistence of the groom’s parents, Louis issued a partial refund for the DJ and catering gratuity but insisted the refund was conditional on me not leaving a review. I didn’t agree to this condition, as Louis has no right to control how I share. Although he may reference awards or past recognition, those do not reflect my experience or that of the bride and groom, who were deeply disappointed. Do not hire Event Advantage. The lack of communication, unsafe food handling, technical negligence, and failure to follow through made this experience deeply frustrating on what should have been a joyful day for the couple.

picked clean by my guests and as for the entrees, the jambalaya was my favorite but my guests went raving mad about Lou's award winning prime rib!!! He and his team fed my guests of 110 so well everyone was bursting at the seams, most got seconds, some even got thirds!!! I will never forget how kind and caring Lou was on our day and he constantly kept checking up with me in regards to changes in the timeline and scheduling problems (it's a wedding, it's bound to happen.) But having such a solid caterer and DJ really took loads of stress off of me. To Lou and the rest of Event Advantage, you'll never know just how much you meant to us. You're forever in our hearts. With large gaps in communication leading up to the big day from the team at Event Advantage, to the DJ (not Louis & seemed incredibly flustered throughout the entire event) messing up several big announcements/names, dropped the ball on the ceremony music, fumbled through reception song choices (several family members including myself asked to kindly change songs and even gave a few suggestions), down to the cookies that I was assured by Louis were hand made by his daughter and would come in a mix of snickerdoodle, frosted, chocolate chip, etc., (for $300) when in fact we were told by the server behind the table that they were store bought. 2 stars is the best I could bring myself to give. A wedding is supposed to be that ONE time in your life where a business owner should do their very best to ensure they are paying the closest of attention to details (food, music etc.). Specially when you are completing an event planner form that listed out EVERY item, song, and name so all one had to do was print out and have the DJ read it at the specified times. I even went as far as sending photos of the venue to ensure they knew where things would go seeing how I was across the country. Unfortunately Event Advantage missed the mark and sadly cost my husband and I $3k for nothing more than delicious tacos. We unfortunately will not be recommending Event Advantage with Louis Chiero for any future events.

e vendor. We used Event Advantage as our caterer and DJ and could not have been more impressed! For starters, the food was absolutely DELICIOUS! They helped us cater our menu to be the most cost-effective and custom to our wedding and guests. On top of this, we had the pleasure of having Loui as our DJ, and he absolutely popped off! His music selections were perfect, and he read the crowd really well. Communication was good and was especially productive when calling the company as opposed to messaging. Overall, we had an incredible experience with Event Advantage and Louis, and are so thankful for their help in making our wedding the best day ever!

He really read the crowd and did allot of original mixes and Mashups. Emcee was amazing kept everything moving. Everyone danced all night long. The food was some of the best I have ever had in my life. 10 of my guests told me it was the best meal they had had in there life. I can't say enough about this company best decision we could have made.

He was able to build that trust during the planning process. The only thing that needs to be said is that Louis and Event Advantage love what they do. Their passion shows through their work. e back. 1. Communication-shotty and inconsistent 2. Appetizers weren’t fully served and they put them away instead of leaving them for guests. 3. Meat was really good. Potatoes were dry and chunky. The 2 vegan entrees we ordered were minimal and not worth the money. 4. We had a bunch of food left and instead of leaving it for us, they took everything I paid for even though we could have used our own containers as to adhere to insurance liabilities but the servers cleaned up and left without saying anything. 5. They did make me my own salad after I requested because the entire meal was supposed to be gluten free but they put croutons in the salad. 6. My food wasn’t warm. 7. To end on a positive, our bartender was excellent and well worth the money. We also tipped her extra on top of the guests’ tips. She was the best part of the entire experience. This review is honest and intended to initiate improvement in the vendor. I wish I could’ve given a 5-star review like I did for my other vendors.
