The first vendor I hired for our recent wedding (November 2014) was EVENTful Moments. My top priority was hiring a wedding planner or day-of coordinator and I knew that the right team would have recommendations for all my other needs so this ca...me first.
I reached out to about 50 different vendors including recommended ones from friends. Sarah at EVENTful Moments was one of the first 5 who responded within 24 hrs of my inquiry. My deadline was 1 week to hear from folks. I had 10 vendors who responded and Sarah was one of three who offered a spectrum from full wedding planning to a day-of coordinator role.
I interviewed all three and Sarah's business was the most complete in services, vendor recommendations (music, photographer, cake, dress, so many options that aren't all listed on her website) and rentals -especially vintage style weddings as that was my theme. She had perfect answers to all my questions, and I had a lot! I highly recommend asking for worst-case scenarios as you can't hire someone to own your wedding day who hasn't handled challenging situations as they will come up! And, handle challenging guests so you won't have to, and Sarah is so impressive - she is professional, graceful and kind, and so helpful that your difficult guests won't even know they're being 'handled'!
As I hired Sarah 9 months before the wedding there is a lot I could say here but won't for interest of space. I'll just say that she never forgot about me, checked in with me often - sometimes just to ask how I'm doing, etc. And, I always had her immediate attention if I did have a question. She answers emails, texts, phone calls so quickly that you'd not know how incredibly busy she is in that moment.
One month before our wedding day: my husband and I met with Sarah and the salesperson for our venue to do a walkthrough and discuss details. The transition of ownership from me to Sarah for all my vendors was seamless. She never hesitated to get my input. Sarah gave advice in such a way that it was still my decision. Of course I never felt like I couldn't say no, it was just a relief for her to offer me guidance because my head was so full of different colors, themes, textures, and questions like do we want sequin linens? Or is the charger a pearl or a gold rim? Little details that can overwhelm you and even after decisions were made if I had a question Sarah did the best thing ever, and she put together a physical example of what our table setting would look like in her workshop and texted the pic to me. I was like, "Oh, you're right! Those colors are the best." But I couldn't visualize it in my mind with all the competing options. Just one of many examples of how she made our wedding planning as smooth and efficient as possible.
As far as the day of, Sarah and her assistant completely own it from start to finish. Managing vendors, doing the setup and the takedown, flipping rooms from ceremony to dining, and keeping us on a timeline. Everything looked exactly how I imagined it but better! She knew perfectly my vision and had it set up exactly as we discussed a month ago without a single mistake. I'd say the best measure of Sarah and her team is that even my mother who has high expectations reported back to me with a glowing review. I've no idea what questions Sarah answered for her but the point is, even when you aren't there you can trust EVENTful Moments. Definitely hire them!
