(if you are a vendor reading this review... know that Colleen makes sure you get fed dinner early in the night, and she never forgets about you!! She really takes care of all of the vendors and she is a pleasure to work with).

SLO. She was extremely helpful when it came to ensuring all our vendors were compliant with insurance, so that we didn't have any surprises on the wedding day. Without her, things really could have turned south. Instead, it was a flawless day. Even when things didn't necessarily fall into her typical set of responsibilities, she stepped up to the plate. She was truly the perfect balance of flexible but organized. The day ran so smoothly and organically and I think that was in huge part to Colleen's skill and experience.

ard nothing but amazing things from everyone at the wedding about her being absolutely on top of it! She took care of 'problems' before they were even problems. I heard later from some guests that Colleen saved the day more than once, and i am beyond impressed. I am very type A and I was having a hard time believing that I could relinquish control on such an important day. Not a single thing was out of place, not a single thing went 'wrong'. It was perfect and I have her to thank! Truly, Thank you Colleen from Alex and I. Both of our parents are still raving about her being in control and making everything smooth. She was wonderful! y done NOTHING and, like a champ, Colleen put us right on track. She is a SLO local with a Cal Poly degree in event-planning AND a decade of experience in the Central Coast wedding/event industry, i.e. the perfect wedding planner trifecta. Her vendor recommendations were spot-on; even after I did a ton of my own research, I realized that the caterer and photographer she suggested in the beginning were the perfect fit for my tastes/budget (a testament to her knowledge of the local wedding industry!) There were times in the planning process when I was inches from having a meltdown and her calm energy and reassurance saved me. For example, a few weeks before the wedding I told her that I was freaking out about the possibility of El Nino rainstorms ruining our outdoor wedding. Instead of saying "Don't worry, it won't rain" (*my hubby's response), she said, "Don't worry, if it looks like it's going to rain, I'll be 100% on top of it" and went on to give full details of how she and her team would save the wedding. As a bride, to hear that someone other than the groom or your parents cares about your wedding that much is a HUGE comfort. I felt like my wedding was in good hands. On our big day Colleen and her team went above and beyond. Let's just say I bit off more "DIY" than I could chew, so on the morning of, I was at the venue, scrambling to finish up. When Colleen and her team showed up at 11 am, she was like "You need to go! We'll take care of this." So I did, leaving a lot of loose ends, and when I came back, the venue was completely transformed, and looked just the way I had envisioned it. The rest of the day/night went smoothly, and if there were any issues, I had no idea, because Colleen handled them. I am so grateful to Colleen for helping make our dream wedding a reality :)

Colleen is very even-keeled and confident, which is something we both really appreciated. We didn’t sweat a thing on the day of and there were no hiccups before, during, or after the event. The best endorsement I can make of Colleen is that she made our wedding run smooth as glass without anyone even noticing that she was doing so, which as far as I’m concerned is the best you can ask for from someone in her position.

so happy to have had Colleen coordinate our wedding day. We were able to enjoy our day, care free! Our wedding was in July in Paso Robles. We're from out of town and needed a day of coordinator who is familiar with the area and our venue. Colleen was recommended to us by a local caterer, so we decided to connect. We interviewed several candidates; Colleen seemed to be the best fit. We really liked her personality, professionalism, and attention to detail. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, we met with Colleen to discuss the day of details. Colleen put together a detailed itinerary, and organized all of the vendors. She kept us on schedule with the last details required by vendors. It really took quite a bit of stress off of us; we didn't have to worry about it. The day before the wedding, the weather was absolutely gorgeous. The summer temperature was perfect. However, that night, a thunderstorm rolled in! In the middle of July! I was really upset, but obviously, there is not much we can do about the weather. I called Colleen around 6a on our wedding day to see what we can do. She was a good sport about my calling so early, and already had a plan to tackle the unexpected weather. Since it was still raining, we had to consider moving the ceremony indoors. My husband and I picked the venue because of the romantic scenery, so moving the ceremony inside just wouldn't be the same. I was extremely disappointed. Colleen understood this and decided that we were going to wait it out. She checked various weather reports and felt that we can wait until a couple of hours before the ceremony to make the decision to stay outdoors, or move indoors. This made me feel a little better; the world hasn't ended yet. Come time to make the decision, the rain had slowed down almost to a stop. Colleen called out to me and said, "We're staying outdoors!" I was ecstatic. We were absolutely blessed that the weather cleared up, but it is important to note that the way Colleen handled this situtation made a significant difference. Her excellent judgment made it possible to continue to have our wedding outdoors. Had she made a decision to move indoors earlier in the day, we would not have had the wedding that we had worked so hard for. The day was not 100% perfect, but the way that Colleen managed the issues, made the day far more enjoyable. Colleen kept the wedding on schedule. She decorated the tables, packed up our belongings at the end of the night. Our wedding was a huge success. I highly recommend Colleen to any couples looking for a coordinator!

still live there, I wanted to get married on our ranch, but this meant planning a "destination wedding" since my husband and I live in South Dakota now. She was able to put all my worries that things would not get done or that the details wouldn't be right since I only had a few times I could make it to California. She is very professional and put my mind at easy during the whole wedding day! She made my destination wedding back to my home town a day I will never forget! Thank you Colleen!

kept everyone in check (vendors, bridal party, guests etc.) so the day ran smoothly and on schedule. She was also so responsive during the entire wedding planning process, and gave us some great ideas/tips, and was willing to go above and beyond her duties.

and his parents had to climb over this ribbon when they walked down the aisle. 2) I served my own wedding cake!!! Tyler and I were called forward to cut our cake. Afterwards, the cake was not served. 10 minutes later I noticed all of the children hovering over the dessert table, starting at the partially cut cake. Myself and 1 guest served more than 1/2 of the wedding cake before the person that was hired to serve the cake showed up. 3) Our Grand Exit wasn't done!!! We had agreed that the band would cover Johnny Cash's "Walk the Line" for our grand exit, and this never happened! Tyler and I were standing there with the band and our friends, looking at the clock, waiting for them to play our Grand Exit song, and it never happened. We were so, so disappointed. 4) Colleen did not direct or give directions to any of our guests. They had no idea where to go, when to eat, where to eat, etc. Our photographers ended up having to give orders to our guests because our Wedding Coordinator was mute on the day of. I had many guests tell me weeks later that they were confused, lost, or didn't eat. 5) On that same note, apparently she was asking our caterer to give orders/directions to our guests. Well, the caterer WAS a GUEST. They were only to put food out for self-service, it was not their responsibility to do any herding of the guests. Our caterers were not very happy about this either.

Colleen contacted all my vendors and arranged a timeline with them. When my parking lot attendants bailed last minute, she supplied attendants for me within a few days of our event. She made us all comfortable at the rehearsal and handled all the details day of the wedding. I do many large events and always have a stressful day before and day of and did NOT want this for my daughter's wedding. Colleen made sure that I didn't have to worry about anything and everything went off without a hitch. Thanks!!

Good onsite coordination on the day-of with family and bridal party; cleanup and follow through afterwards was well done. I highly recommend Eventful Wedding Planning! 5 stars!

Colleen proved to be invaluable with her knowledge of vendors in the central coast that she would recommend to us as we planned the wedding. Her recommendations were always kind and encouraging, leaving us room to check it out without feeling like we had to pick exactly what she recommended. During the planning process, she was very, very helpful. But then on the wedding day...we could not have done it without her. She took all the details that were in motion, and coordinated an efficient "day of" plan. Colleen confirmed all the vendors and various deliveries, coordinated all the times that things were to be delivered and placed, and then was so helpful keeping us on schedule to be able to enjoy the plans as they unfolded. She even stayed late that night until every last flower arrangement or chair was folded and put back away. Colleen (and her sister) were a much needed/appreciated blessing to our daughters wedding day!
