d was always available to help. Day of she completely set up my reception space and without much to go on, she executed it exactly to what I always dreamed of. There was so much going on that day I am sure there was even more things that happened I wasn't even aware of but she managed guests (during times of COVID which can be difficult), set up, vendors, and making sure my husband and I got through the night smoothly. She also packed everything up and got us extra food and cake to go. She is an amazing service at an amazing value and I highly recommend! My best friend already has booked her for her wedding due to seeing the service she provided me!

At the time that we called Kelly, we were feeling stressed and overwhelmed. We were six months out with many unanswered questions, over budget, far behind schedule, and a wedding planner who offered to refund our money because she was changing careers! From our first phone call, we knew Kelly was the right person for the job. She was so calm, re-assuring, and understanding. Kelly customized her service to meet our needs and put us at ease. After meeting with us, Kelly took the reigns with the vendors that we had already booked; she knew them well. Contracts were clarified which saved us money, meetings were arranged and questions were answered. Once Kelly became involved, the only stress this MOB felt was watching the weather forecast. I’m not sure how much influence Kelly had with that, but it was such a beautiful weekend that all of our out of town guests fell in love with Houston in December.

ng. Simply put, Kelly played a key role in making our wedding the wedding of our dreams. When it comes to wedding planning, Kelly is very experienced having worked in the industry for many years. She has planned literally hundreds of beautiful and successful weddings. She has connections with dozens of vendors, whether it be venues, bands, florists, décor, you name it. In addition, Kelly was available, pretty much anytime we needed her. She was able to accommodate our busy schedules and many times, she met us after business hours and at locations that were conducive to us. If we needed to communicate with her, it was not a problem contacting her by email and her personal cell phone. Although wedding planning can be stressful, I never saw Kelly frustrated. She was always cool and calm, handing every situation well. I am not exaggerating when I say Kelly helped us out with everything. She set up over a dozen venues for us to explore not only for our wedding reception, but also our rehearsal dinner. In addition, she found our band, food vendor, florists, photo booth, created and printed our programs and seating chart, amongst many more. Because she is so well connected in the industry, she was able to find us the best deals, which added up to thousands of dollars saved. What really left a positive impression on us was how she was there hand and foot for our rehearsal dinner and reception. For example, more people showed up to our rehearsal dinner than planned and they were without seats. She took care of this without us even knowing until later. Another example is that for our reception, she personally stringed outdoor lights, wrapped 200 champagne glass party favors (which allowed our groomsmen to party it up the night before) and she even picked up a red bull for my husband when he needed a boost before cocktail hour! If you’re looking for someone to plan your dream wedding, Kelly is the person. I would give her a 10 star rating if this website allowed me. She is the best!

When I would come in town she always made sure to make the best use of my time and was super efficient with all our meetings. She was never pushy on wanting me to hire one of her vendors and was always very honest with what peoples/vendor strong suits are or if what I wanted was possible/practical/fit in my budget etc. She was such a joy to work with and worth every penny. I had a pretty specific vision in mind and she truly made it come to life and my day could not have been more perfect. She also had so many great ideas that I hadn't thought of or seen yet. My wedding day felt so organic and like everything just magically happened even though Kelly was behind the scenes MAKING everything happen. The day of she never stressed me out or worried me with anything she just took care of it. Working with Kelly was a breeze and I cannot recommend her enough. When you DO hire her, trust her - she knows what she is doing!

Some planners even told me that I need to add another $10k to my wedding to really have it the "wedding of my dreams". That's great, but I don't know where I would find this 10k. LOL! Kelly is a true professional & she's been a coordinator for years so she is able to give you great recommendations for vendors. We were able to find our dream venue through Kellys recommendation. Which was the star of our wedding! We also relied on Kelly for recommendations for our photographer, caterer, officiant, rentals, cake. All of those vendors turned out fabulous!!! Day of our wedding Kelly was also on it! Everything went smoothly for us and Kelly handled any issues and vendor coordination. People will tell you, you don't need a wedding planner but Kelly paid for herself by getting us the best deals on vendors and honestly your sanity is worth it! On the day of our wedding, we were behind schedule (due to venue, not because of Kelly!) and Kelly helped get everything back on track. Also, Kelly really did a great job styling all of my decor items for our wedding. I'm so appreciative that I had someone who understood my vision available to me on my wedding day.

When it came to the day of, I don’t remember having to worry about a single detail! Kelly made everything run so smoothly and beautifully that I really was able to just enjoy my day and take it all in. From lighting to wax dripping on table cloths, to helping fix my dress and everything in between, Kelly handled it all. I had so many compliments on what a beautiful wedding it was and that the pace was very good without that dreaded awkward dead time. a huge difference in providing recommendations for vendors that she trusts, and since she's been in the business for some time, we really needed her expertise. Trying to schedule interviews with vendors while working a full time job in a different time zone was nearly impossible. Kelly acted as our liason between vendors and even met with them while we were in SF. Throughout the process, she was less responsive in the beginning but definitely made up for it near the end. Leading up to the wedding, we texted all the time! She did not limit our communication which is something I really appreciated. We had a small ceremony at River Oaks Garden Club before our large reception, and we ended up changing vendors for the chair rentals and light snacks. Kelly pulled through and found us rentals, wait staff, sound system within a month before our wedding. She tries to help you get the best bang for your buck in all the vendors and is not afraid to negotiate pricing. This is definitely something I preferred to not do! On the day of the wedding, she had two assistants working with her. She was willing to run last minute errands like pick up our large Tiff's Treats order before the wedding. I truly felt like there was nothing to worry about with her help! Kelly's pricing is extremely reasonable, and we are so happy we found her!

She gets to know you and what you want, so much so that she knows what you want before you do. She filled in my planning gaps with lots of lovely details. She leads you through the process, you don't have to worry about a single detail getting overlooked. She also read between the lines and brought suggestions to me before I knew I even needed them. For example, she noticed that we were not getting everything we had initially asked for with one of our vendors (we learned that our dj couldn't provide patterned uplighting) and brought us a bid proposal from another vendor without us even asking her to. I loved that she would go above and beyond to make sure we had everything we wanted. Those sorts of things also really add up and make a huge difference in the time leading up to your wedding. I've often heard that the month and especially the week of the wedding can be very stressful, but Kelly taking over in that final month was so seamless, I wasn't worried at all. I got so many comments about how calm I was! I was able to enjoy my big day without worrying about a thing. The flow of the event was great, everything went perfectly, and I know that 100% of that is because of Kelly. I can't say enough good things about her :)

Hire Erin Anderson for photography, who is a no-nonsense professional who surveyed the sites in advance to prepare for the most advantageous shots. Hire Allen of Allen Hill Entertainment who will meet with the Bride and Groom to select a band of their liking. Then he will meet the band at the venue to make sure they are ready to go. Hire Carlos Estela to create a delicious macaron tower instead of the wedding cake. Finally, enjoy the Bride’s special day by hiring Kelly Balforth of Eventology to coordinate all your plans with these wonderful vendors. Kelly was recommended to me by another bride who had interviewed six wedding planners before hiring her and, yes, she was my “angel of mercy” throughout the wedding day and made sure every detail was executed to perfection. She referred us to our caterer, DJ, and hair & make-up artist - who were all great, professional, and relatively affordable. Thanks to Kelly, we had vendors who were familiar with each other and worked together seamlessly. We truly felt like we had a great, cohesive team working for us! * EXPERTISE: As a 1st time bride & groom, my husband and I knew literally NOTHING about wedding planning, budgets, timelines, color schemes, etc. Enter our life-saver, Kelly. She asked the questions we forgot to ask; brought up details we would've never thought of; and was happy to give her opinion on anything and everything if we asked (and we asked a lot!). I'm very indecisive, but having Kelly around felt like a security blanket -- I knew she'd be there to catch me if I slipped up or forgot something important. If we had a question, Kelly always had an answer. * HELPFULNESS: By the time Kelly came on-board a month before our wedding, I was pulling my hair out over creating 250 guest favors. I casually mentioned this to her -not expecting anything- and she immediately offered to take on the task for me. "Okay, great! Now, I need someone to pass out programs-" "I can do it!" "Awesome! But then, who will collect the flowers from the church?" "Me!" "Crap, the vendors still don't have timelines." "No problem, I'll send it out tonight." Another honorable mention? She also created a weekend itinerary for our bridal party and sent it out to them. Kelly truly went above and beyond with offering help whenever we needed something done. * RESPONSIVENESS: This was a bit of an issue at the beginning - granted, I was hounding her for help 4-5 months out from the wedding when I technically only hired her for the month-of...my bad. However, once her month-of services began, she was always available via email, phone call, or even text. We scheduled 3 meetings with her during the "month-of," and she was more than happy to meet with us. As a Type-A anxiety-prone, indecisive, and busy bride, I cannot stress enough how beneficial, helpful, and comforting it was to have someone like Kelly around. Our wedding day was seamless and almost completely perfect because of her coordinating everything behind the scenes. If you need some help with planning your wedding -even if it's just someone to coordinate on just the day-of- Eventology Weddings is who you need to call. Kelly, you were an absolute joy to work with -- THANK YOU!!

engagement (18 months when we hired Kelly). However, she was very clear that she'd work with my schedule and we wouldn't necessarily have to stick to strict definitions of a "month." I also appreciated her being honest with me that hiring her as a "full-time planer" didn't make sense with my budget and I could get away with something more intermittent. We hired her for 3 months of planning and day-of coordination. I found her most helpful for purposes of timeline, budgeting, vendor recommendations, moral support when I met with vendors, and day-of coordination. True to her word, she was flexible working with me since I'd be in Houston a week or two at a time on vacation and wanted to pack a ton of things in before I'd be gone another 6 months. I'd say my greatest challenge was I'd sometimes have to remind her I hadn't gotten a response from her yet, but she ALWAYS got back to me and the truth was I was stretching the limits of our contract so it really was a "fair-enough" situation. I was very detail-oriented and wanted to make decisions on my own, but she had great advice and opinions to offer that I think made a difference. She was as good as we wanted her to be about budgeting, I was struggling with one vendor and asked her to intervene and that was how I finally came to anything resembling the budget I had been trying to work towards. Loved her for the day-of coordination, absolutely worth it. My parents and my husband's parents really thought she was excellent making sure things went smoothly. No catastrophes occurred on her watch. Seemed to get along great with the venue and various vendors. Overall, my husband and I loved our wedding, we got endless compliments on it, and we couldn't have done it without Kelly's support. I'd recommend her to other brides whether they're from Houston, or have only short stints in town with which to work.

Many things were handled behind the scenes, so I could enjoy the planning process without being bogged down in contracts and minor details. Kelly did a beautiful job with the welcome bags and executing all the little things throughout the wedding weekend. But she didn't just care about the wedding, she cared about us as well. In the planning stages she could tell when I was stressed and was quick to take tasks off my hands. She made sure we were well fed on our wedding day, as any bride and groom can appreciate. We were completely comfortable having her handle everything and trusted her entirely. I can't gush about her enough, and I highly recommend her to any Houston bride!

that matters is how everything comes together on the day. And for me and my husband, it came together perfectly thanks to Kelly. Throughout the planning process I both had opinions about what I wanted but also really no idea what I was doing. Kelly guided me through the entire process, step by step and was invaluable the weeks leading up to our wedding when I was swamped at work and yet had so much to do. She completely understood my vision for our wedding and ran with it. Not to mention all her late nights putting in actual physical labor with some final touches. I can only hope I have the opportunity to work with her again.

d guidance that made for a wedding and reception that flowed so smooth and absolutely captured my daughter's vision and dream. The ballroom looked breathtaking. The flowers were gorgeous and talked about all night!!! Kelly did so many things to go above and beyond! She answered every email and question, even if it was addressing something already decided because I was uncertain or needed assurance. Kelly worked relentlessly to make our experience less stressful - tying all of the bows on the Anderson's candy favors just the way we wanted which took over 6 hours, stuffing all of the invitations and mailing, hanging candles on a balcony and taking all of them down (just to make me happy when she knew it wasn't needed), assembling our out of town guest bags, telling us to leave after the reception and personally staying and clearing the ballroom and getting all of the personal items in our room. This included at least 20 flower arrangements (which were possible because she had purchased vases because she knew I didn't want to waste such beautiful flowers). The services of all of the vendors she suggested were top notch. As I mentioned before, the flower arrangements with the crystal candles and votives glowing were beautiful. We mentioned to the florist that we loved candles and really wanted them everywhere - they made that place look so lovely it took my breath away. The beautiful wedding and groom's cake - I can't begin to tell you how delicious they were - I had two pieces. The band was fabulous - Dana wanted a dance party that was fun - boy did they deliver. Every generation was out dancing - the memory of my sister out there dancing all night will be burned in my memory forever - I loved it! Kelly was worth every penny and saved us so much money by negotiating great terms and helping us make quantity decisions that were right on and saved us money. I actually think she paid for herself. She is a pleasure to work with and knows her stuff. She gave my daughter her special day - you will be so happy and thankful if you use this wedding planner!!

what I wanted for my wedding, but Kelly was able to put it all together and come up with wonderful ideas. She knew which vendors to work with in the Houston area, and she was able to save us money with certain vendors because of her relationships with them. She is very detail-oriented and is a perfectionist, which is a great quality to have as a wedding planner. When I first saw the venue on the wedding day - I cried because my dream wedding had been turned into a reality by Kelly. The wedding ran so smoothly! People are still talking about how beautiful our wedding was, and how fun our reception was. Kelly is amazing!!!
