Cheap finger food, food presented was not as ordered and menu upgrades that were paid for didn’t appear. Our dessert was plated with dinner outside in the sun, after being asked to...
remove it. Getting ahold of the owner is another story. 👎
The food was amazing! But Events 2020’s standard of service and follow through on our contract are the reason we are leaving this review. Events 2020 finalized the certificate of i...
nsurance the day before the wedding, which was incredibly stressful to have that submitted weeks after the venue’s deadline. We were told “don’t worry about it”, but how could the bride and groom not worry about paperwork finalized so late? We contracted for three servers, one carver, and two bartenders (and paid a service fee based on that level of staffing). Despite having paid for a carver, we noticed our wedding planner was behind that station carving turkey and serving our guests. Very weird. We only had one bartender, despite paying for two and getting verbal confirmation that Events 2020 would have two bartenders to serve our guests. Service-wise, Events 2020 didn’t have serving trays and for the champagne toast they were bringing out champagne flutes to our guests two at a time (one in each bare hand). Also, one of the servers passing champagne to our guests was wearing a backwards baseball cap and shorts. We were so embarrassed that our guests at our semi-formal wedding – wearing suits and cocktail dresses – were being served by an Events 2020 staff member who was dressed like a line cook. They also did not provide water service, and when the mother of the bride asked for a glass of water, one of the Events 2020 servers suggested the mother get in line at the bar to get it. This may have also been related to not bringing service trays? So the food was delicious but Events 2020 didn’t follow through for us, caused a lot of unnecessary stress, and had a low standard of service for a semi-formal wedding.
If your looking for some incredibly tasty food I highly recommend Events 2020! They were very very flexible with the pricing and provided some great food and all the workers were e...
xtremely nice. I had so many compliments on the food at our wedding!
I would highly recommend the team at Events 2020. We had an outdoor wedding at our lakehouse and they didn't even bat an eye about logistics because they are pro's at what they do....
They can make any venue or dream possible because of their creativity and can do attitude. I was overwhelmed with the thought of planning the food/bar layout but Ann came in and saved the day. Everyone ranted on how everything was laid out perfectly and flowed smoothly
Everything was wonderful from the oysters to the carving stations :) . It also is an added bonus that this is a family business . Ann and Mike truly care about their customers and it shows.
Thanks again!!

Arrived 2 hours before the ceremony which was followed immediately by reception and do not feel this gave them enough time for set up. Bartenders poured very stiff drinks and we r...
an out of alcohol twice because of this along with complaints from our guests. Set up was not as discussed ahead of time and we were not notified there were going to be changes made. Ended up that guests had to wait "a very long time" for food. Florals were beautiful and food tasted good, but food was not what we felt we paid for and different from tasting though this was out of their control. Non-alcoholic beverages were not at separate station but at the bar as well causing additional lines and wait times along with guests not knowing we had non-alcoholic beverages available. They were nice enough to meet with us after the fact and guests still had a good time but no compensation was made.
The food was great, they were great, all went well.
Pro: They actually have a chef who makes the food vs. a bunch of kids that throw frozen stuff in an oven.

lt to get a response from sometimes. I only had email available during the day and it would take 4-6 days for a response. They seemed a little overbooked but ultimately came through.
