If I could rate this venue at 0 stars, I would. Living in Chelsea, this was my dream venue - enough of a dream, to withstand 5 months of contracting back-and-forth with Vanderbilt....
While I should have gotten the hint when they stood me up on my tour, this misery continued with slow/no responses to emails/calls for 2 months. After finally receiving an updated contract (and signing it), I waited a month for the counter signature until learning that the venue may actually be canceling their fall weddings. This persisted for another month and a half before they ultimately canceled. This is not a wedding venue. It lacks the professionalism one would expect of Vanderbilt University. Even if weddings are a go again, do not waste your time and excitement (like I did mine) - you’ll probably end up with hideous scaffolding all over the walls the refectory.
We got married at Chelsea square in May 2023, and it was truly the greatest day we could have imagined. From start to finish, working with Chelsea Square was a delight. A few highl...

Their team (venue and catering) is top-notch is full of true professionals. They took the time to get to know our vision and truly became friends with us through the planning process. I can't say enough good things about Kadine and Nick, who supported us through the whole process with so much kindness.
The venue itself is one of the most stunning places in NYC. To find a chapel, private grounds, and an elegant reception space in one spot didn't even feel feasible when we started the planning process. SO many of our guests said it was the most amazing wedding they have ever attended in such a regal, elegant, and stunning place. I would change nothing about working with them, and wish their business all the success in the world.
