We were the type of couple that are probably a nightmare for coordinators! My husband and I both work more than "full time" at very demanding jobs; and we decided to get married in 6 months! Carmen swooped in and was able to push us in the right direction in her gentle and fun way. She gave us amazing recommendations and was there to listen to and help with any and all concerns we had. The day of the rehearsal was the day I met Carmen in person. She is thoughtful, diligent, knowledgeable, and flexible. Best part- she is SO kind and the biggest advocate for the bride and groom. She makes sure to check in with everyone to see what you are (truly) feeling and thinking. She then makes any adjustments that she can to help the day of your wedding feel like yours. She gives no judgements and uplifts her clients. My wedding day was flawless. Truly! I even told her that if something DID go wrong, they must have hid it extremely well from the public (she of course assured me that nothing went wrong). I believe that this was largely due to her skill in what she does. Thank you, Carmen, for being such a calming force. You came into a little bit of a messy situation and you handled it with grace, kindness, and competence. I highly recommend her and her wonderful team!

Even in times when my parents and I butted heads, Carmen had a way to mediate super casually and always was on my side. Not to mention her energy and personality are amazing!! came. We were supposed to get married in Italy during the pandemic. We were about 8 weeks out so everything was done and ready. When that didn’t happen, we decided to get married locally the following year. I hired Carmen. I gave her a detailed outline/timeline that I had adapted from the Italian wedding planners. All details were covered and explained. I had my vendors, location, theme. It was obvious during our meetings and calls that she never bothered to read it. I repeatedly answered the same questions and directed her to the outline. During our walk through, we gave her detailed information about the floorplan and flow. I packed and labeled every box, cocktail, ceremony, etc. with the items that needed to be put out. At about 1pm for our 5pm wedding, Carmen came to the room where we were getting ready and asked me to draw out the layout of our tables and lounge furniture on a napkin because she had forgotten her copy. Needless to say, that was just the beginning. The table and furniture placement was wrong (causing 5k worth of lounge furniture to go unused); the table seating was wrong, even after I fixed it upon getting to the cocktail reception; we didn’t have our toasting flutes or even champagne during the toast; our photo wall was completely unusable due to a huge light fixture she allowed to be placed right in front of it; the reserved signs were never placed; our bathroom basket signs were never put out, causing folks to think the hotel was very generous with amenities; balloons I paid to have inflated for our exit were never put out because she and her staff tangled them; she couldn’t find the payment envelope I had given her for the musician, causing my husband to have to miss part of our reception to go upstairs and get cash; our wedding dinner was never sent to our room as requested; our elderly parents never tasted one hors d'oeuvre, despite having asked her to separate a plate for them; our wedding record guest book was left out in the sun to warp during setup; she got into a screaming/name-calling match with my florist when he pointed out that the setup was wrong; and so on. Our wedding was only 75 people and she had a staff of 4 there. It still baffles me how a professional can get everything so very wrong. The disorganization, lack of attention to detail and flat out mistakes are astonishing. Carmen’s social media is filled with photos of beautiful and apparently seamless weddings-ours just wasn’t one of them. And while ours might have been an exception for her that she can easily move on from, it was our only wedding day and we can’t go back and fix it. I wouldn’t take that chance if I were you. I deeply regret that I did.

This showed me she was the real-deal because this type of professionalism is built over years of working in the wedding-service industry!.. This took a load off my shoulders because I trusted her with handling things and I avoided overthinking/ over asking vendors roles. I admit hiring Carmen was ESSENTIAL.. there was no way I could keep up with all the details the day of the wedding. As I’m writing this review on my honeymoon one of my favorite memories was actually the day after the wedding when I found all my wedding items organized back in my home and even a piece of the wedding cake that she had packed for us.. even more important was that she had folded my veil (which nobody remembered to collect) and included it in my day-after box!.. Throughout the wedding day (which passed by so quickly!) she made sure my husband and I were comfortable and coordinated our placements the entire day. Also she brought an assistant who was fabulous and together ran the behind the scenes production flawlessly. She was very kind to our families and our wedding party and got the job done in a fast and effective way. At the end of the day our wedding was FANTASTIC, a complete hit!! Some guests said to me “Best wedding I’ve ever attended!”!.. I’m so grateful from the bottom of my heart!

Last year, my husband and I decided we were going to have a small ceremony and long story short, due to it being a holiday, we were not able to just go to the courthouse. With just asking Carmen if she knew of any venues for a small ceremony, she basically ended up helping me plan a whole micro wedding within 3 weeks. Fast forward to this year, we planned our big wedding for July 3rd and by the end of March when vaccinations became available was when we decided we would still go through with the wedding. Carmen would think of details I would've never thought of that made the wedding so special. Everyone at the wedding kept saying it was the best wedding they had ever attended and that was all thanks to her and her team. So many things were going astray (because of my husband and I, not her) and she saved the day so we could just enjoy it. Let me tell you I literally forgot my veil in Jacksonville and the wedding being in Miami I was devastated as I was looking forward to the pictures with the veil and Carmen uber'd a veil to us, yes uber'd a veil!! She is pure magic and we will forever be eternally grateful for her making our wedding a dream come true. So do yourself a favor and hire her! You will not regret it.

It was only fate that after booking our venue, that our sales director immediately suggested Carmen to be our wedding planner! Best decision! I first wrote a review last year after our May 2020 wedding was postponed and then cancelled. Even after cancelling in September 2020, Carmen continued to check in and make sure we were okay. She let me cry, she lifted me up, and through it all, told me everything would work out. She had no idea if we were going to bring our wedding plans back to Miami or if we were going to do something smaller where we lived. We ultimately restarted wedding planning in March 2021, for a June 2021 wedding. She quickly got everything together and helped me stay on track. The day of the wedding, I felt like I had another family member at the venue, making sure everything was set up right and "just the way I wanted." She helped my mom with all the last few details and made sure all my persian traditions were executed and shined through. I can't thank Carmen enough for all of her support. You really can't go wrong by hiring Carmen. I could go on and on about how amazing she is, but words aren't enough to express how she made my wedding day experience everything I wanted it to be!

She was so calm and friendly that in my panic, I instantly thought to call her (even after winning a planning package with another reputable wedding planner). Carmen immediately went into work mode and helped us reschedule with our venue. Unfortunately, we had to reschedule again after COVID. Carmen came to the rescue once again. As two healthcare workers planning a wedding in different states, we were so stressed. She quickly helped us reschedule with our vendors. A year later, our wedding finally happened. Carmen and her team were absolutely amazing! She made everything an ease even when I was planning a wedding from another state during a pandemic. Working with her was like working with a close friend. She was so organized, calming, and really considered our vision when creating the wedding of our dreams. During the wedding, Carmen and her team made all the stress of the day disappear. They were constantly checking up on us and our guests. Everyone commented on how wonderful the venue looked and how friendly they were. Carmen personally checked in with us several times during the night to make sure we didn’t need anything. I cannot imagine working with another planner!! Carmen and her team are a part of our family now! We highly recommend her!! She is the best!

stopped by Events by Carmen's stand and collected a business card like I did for every other vendor. Months go by and I start hiring other vendors... but every single vendor I interviewed or hired asked us: "Do you have a wedding planner? If you don't, hire Carmen!". I thought, this woman must be good! and I called. Carmen was everything I thought I didn't need and more! I intended to book her as my day of coordinator only, and ended up getting an amazing deal for the 3 month planning service just for having my wedding on a weekday. If I said that she worked my wedding for three months I would be lying.... she did so much more than that! I can't count the times she put me at ease and took things off my plate. Wedding planning is tough, but planning a wedding during a world pandemic is TOUGH! During the wedding she was just a life saver, coordinated everything flawlessly and made sure I had no worries throughout my day. Before her, we were having a hard time finding vendors and establishing our vision. Our friend, who hired her for her own wedding, recommended her to us. She came in and literally found us every vendor we needed and they all followed our creative ideas! From the walk through to the wedding, she understood our vision and helped us make sure we got everything we wanted! She and her staff went far and beyond on our wedding day to make sure we had the most special day of our lives!

She was sweet, charming, professional, and very kind to answer all my questions before we even talked about possibly hiring her. Months go by, we pick another city to have our destination wedding, but then scrapped the idea. Ultimately, we came back to Miami. The new venue we chose started telling me who they recommended (they were about to say her) and before they could finish, I mentioned Carmen's name. It was just kismet. We hired her for day-of and she assured me that everything would work out for a beautiful Miami wedding. Then, COVID hit and we had to postpone and I can't tell you how many times I cried to her over the phone and just how much she helped keep me and my fiancee keep calm throughout the whole ordeal and all the decisions we had to make. We ended up having to cancel the second date we chose because of Miami's lockdowns and are still waiting to see how things pan out before picking another date for next year. She has been amazing through this whole process and has held my hand through it all. Needless to say, as long as my wedding plans stay in Miami, she is my go-to-planner! You can't go wrong with her. She has a good attitude, a warm personality, and will work hard for you to achieve the vision you have for your event. She wants you to have what you want without having to break the bank to do it.

I told her she was crazy, but she wanted to make sure that I wouldn’t have to stress out about anything the day before my wedding. She is hands down the best wedding planner I could have ever dreamed for. I’m just so thankful for her and her team!!!!

Lastly and most importantly, she took great care of my dog and one of my flower girls, Fiona, during part of the ceremony until we were able to hand her off to family. You just tell her what you’re vision is and she honestly works her magic and with her knowledge of venues and how they work or what they offer she narrows it down beautifully! My now husband and I were in contact with her throughout the entire time and she was sweet and listened to all our requests. The day of the actual wedding her and her assistant made it all flow and just gave me so much peace of mind. To the current brides out there, I was the girl who thought she had everything handled because I have always been that girl who helped others during their events. It’s just not possible to do it all yourself. I needed the help. Things went wrong on the wedding day when I didn’t think they would and these girls were on it. I wish if they were there the morning of the wedding (we started at 6 am bc I had a lot of bridesmaids), when things started to go sideways, but thats on me for not being aware of the start time. She was my rock when I needed to vent, and my kick ass coordinator when things went wrong and she needed to fixed them quickly and quietly. She kept my constant worries at bay and really was such a wonderful person to work with. She worked hard for us and is so down to earth. Anytime I needed her she was there night or day. If I had known about her sooner I would have let her plan my whole wedding. Do not hesitate to contact her because you will not regret it. Her assistant Cynthia on day of was also FANTASTIC- she made sure I was happy, cooled off, always had a drink in hand, and most importantly MADE SURE WE ATE. (Which was by request of me). I can’t thank her enough because most brides and grooms barely see their apps and dinner. These women made sure we had desserts in to go boxes to enjoy the day after. I CANNOT SAY THANK YOU ENOUGH. Everything was so carefully and perfectly packed up and put in cars before I even knew it. They wrapped everything back in its original packaging! I’m just so impressed by you guys. Thank you!!!!

was so hesitant to hire a planner from the beginning because I thought that it was an easy place to cut budget and DIY. I initially spoke to Carmen on the phone for 1 hour and in that one hour I felt like I had accomplished so much. I originally signed a contact for “day of”... 6 weeks out I went to her in a panic and said please please please squeeze me in for the month of! Without any hesitation, she jumped right in and solved problems for me that I didn’t even know I would have. Her team is fabulous - they handled every small little detail. The day of, the day before, the weeks before - everything was handled perfectly. She is so easy to talk to, so understanding of budgets and knows how to work with anyone and everyone. I cannot imagine a better planner and team than Carmen and her ladies ! I have zero complaints and if I had to do it again, there would be absolutely nothing that I would ask her to do differently!!!
