She was on top of the schedule but also allowed time and space for last minute things to make our day ours. She was a calm, steady presence throughout the entire planning process. She really listened to what I wanted and made sure every detail was taken care of so I could fully enjoy my wedding day. Delaney joined us in choosing table setups, linens, and décor with the caterer, and she visited the venue with us so I could walk her through my vision. We also had multiple phone calls to go over timeline adjustments, updates, and every question I had along the way.
Delaney did not have an easy job with my wedding. Just six days before the big day, I was diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy. I was devastated—but Delaney was so thoughtful and supportive, and she truly helped me feel beautiful and confident. Then, on the day of the wedding, a severe summer storm rolled in, and a fallen tree trapped the groomsmen in their neighborhood—they couldn’t get out to reach the ceremony. I didn’t even find out about it until after the ceremony, because Delaney handled the situation so seamlessly. She stayed calm, cool, and completely in control, managing everything with grace and professionalism.
She worked closely with the venue staff to set up all the décor, including the aisle and wedding arch, and it turned out absolutely beautiful. Her attention to detail and dedication made all the difference.

Delaney is, she was so, incredibly helpful. Knowing we had her to email or text with any questions relieved so much stress. We asked for her recommendations for a lot of our vendors as well, and all of the people she recommended made our wedding day so perfect - cake, DJ, hair, all 10/10s.
Also as a couple that did a lot of DIYs and brought in a lot of our own decor to save some money, Delaney and her partner were the ones to set all of this up and she truly made my vision come to life. And whenever there were slight hiccups throughout the day (i.e. wind knocking over candles and flowers, wedding-crashers), she handled it all with such grace and ease.

After interviewing several planners, my son and DIL chose Events by Delaney as their Day of Wedding Planner. What a great choice they made! Delaney is very professional and organized but also, down to earth and a joy to work with. I didn’t work with her much until I started stressing out about the rehearsal dinner. I wanted it to be a very special and happy event for my son and DIL… and I wanted to enjoy it and not worry about the preparations. (It was catered at the event location, so we had to worry about setting up, decorating, and just making sure everything ran smoothly.). So, a month before the wedding, I reached out to Delaney and asked her if she would have time to also handle the Rehearsal Dinner. Thank goodness she said yes! She took over right away…she contacted the vendors and worked with me to ensure the Rehearsal Dinner night went smoothly. She and her staff set up and decorated all the tables, dealt with the caterers, and then took down and packed everything up for us afterwards. It was a beautiful and stress-free night for all! We had already had quite a bit planned before hiring her so we chose he month of coordination planning. This actually started a few months in advanced and covered everything we needed. My only regret was not having her start sooner!
As a fellow type A personality filled with organizing, planning, and timelines, I truly admired how detailed she was! All of my pre-hired vendors had nothing but rave reviews to say about Delaney and the timeline she helped up create. From our photographers and videographers who have been in the wedding game for years to our newer venue, everyone commented on how smoothly Delaney operated and how helpful she was!
Unfortunately we had some issues with our catering company, some of which I noted right away, and many I did not know until well after our honeymoon, thanks to Delaney. She has helped curate an email to express our concerns and has followed up with company regarding aspects of our contract that were not met. I firmly believe that had we hired Delaney to help vet our catering company we would not have those issues. However, we are so grateful we had her to help mitigate some of the chaos and assist in the additional clean up required since they left before bussing the tables.

Delaney made sure everything I had even mentioned in passing was thought about and taken care of... down to picking up any missing items and making sure my iPad was put into my car. If anything had gone wrong that day, I definitely did not know about it; I noticed a table had been moved before our reception entrance and she promptly informed me why when we sat down for dinner (a non-issue, but I mentioned it, so she enlightened me). She is 100% our best and most important purchase we made for our wedding, and we were so lucky to have had her these last two months, but especially on our wedding day. She made our day completely stress-free and fun and was beside me every step of the way. at a private family residence in a rural setting, which meant we had to coordinate with a variety of independent vendors across a spectrum of services from catering and cakes to tent rentals, photographers, flowers, live music, hotel accommodations, on- and off-site transportation for more than 100 guests, and even booths for bourbon tasting and fresh oysters. Delaney guided us through every step of the process and, very importantly, was always the calm voice of reason and source of smart decisions when we needed it the most. Delaney was very hands on—for example, she offered several detailed mockup configurations for the seating, eating, and dancing portions of the event, and happily stretched tape measures around the sections of property to assess where and how to place the rental tents, which were critical to our contingency rain plan (thankfully, it didn’t rain). Delaney worked personally with every vendor to facilitate clear communications, set expectations, and articulate to everyone where, when, and how each aspect of the ceremony would proceed. Everything went perfectly. Early in our conversations, Alison said “I hope I don’t become a bridezilla” to which Delaney responded “I really don’t like the word ‘bridezilla.’ It’s just people who really want their wedding to be perfect. I totally understand that.” That empathy for the people and emotions involved in planning a wedding is what makes Delaney exception. We can’t thank her enough. Our wedding was perfect.

During the initial consultation she got to know us and was actually interested in helping us create the wedding day we wanted. Throughout the whole process she provided wonderful guidance on figuring out what was important for us the day of and how we could accomplish it all within budget. On rehearsal night she made sure everyone knew where to go, what to do, and when to leave. On the day of the wedding she made sure everything stayed on schedule and that any problems that occurred were handled before they even reached our ears. The end result of all her work was the best wedding any of our friends or family had been to, the best day of our lives, and not a single worry in the world.
