The design plans for the decor/floral were exactly what we envisioned and finally seeing it day of was just special. We held our event at the Lodge and Malibou Lake and with Emily on our team we had a beautiful and seamless event. Everything went as planned and if it didn't we never knew! My fiance and I had wanted to plan something unique, with our own personal touches, and Emily came to our sessions with recommendations which resonated and aligned to our wedding day vision. She never skipped a beat and helped recommend vendors last minute as we were having trouble navigating Covid wedding planning. Finally, I would say the most meaningful statement I can place for you here - she'll go to bat for you. She'll stand up to vendors who are overcharging, or adding additional charges, and work it out with them as to not stress you out. She'll provide you with tools and resources to help you plan and sit on the phone with you for however long it takes for you to be comfortable in your decisions. our lives is an understatement. We really firmly believe it was great because we had such a great wedding coordinator. At the beginning of this whole process we had a firm budget and really wanted to stick to it. We contemplated even hiring a coordinator because We wanted to save some money but luckily we took a chance and hiring Emily was the best hire. I thank my husband for finding her... Emily went above and beyond, for example, There were some small details I hadnt thought of, our cake table. I had not put much thought into it, and day of Emily decorated it with such beauty it took my breathe away. I was so proud to walk out and see all the little touches she had done and In my head I said that’s exactly what I wanted but never even thought to ask for. My father even brought up Emily’s organization. When he had asked her a question she whipped out her binder that was beautifully organized with every single detail for our wedding. She brought so much knowledge and experience to our wedding you would have thought we hired a 10 person planning team. She even had many recommendations for vendors, and we ended up choosing our floral vendor through her, which was something that meant so much to me. My floral arch was so beautiful. d when we were leaving that night I had this feeling that we really needed Emily for our wedding day. Fast forward 15months later and holy cow, I don’t know what we would have done without her!!!! Emily was incredible. She kept in constant contact with us through what turned into an extremely difficult year and even through her own personal challenges was always one step ahead and on top of everything. Emily is kind, personable, organized, knowledgeable and the kind of person you want running the show on such an important day. I gave her the worst outlines of how I wanted things to look (my brain was fried!) but when I walked in to our intimate reception it was like she jumped in my head and knew exactly what I was thinking. Our wedding was so far from normal and presented many challenges from pandemics, postponements, location changes, confused parents, our sweet but exhausted 2yr old, zoom ceremonies and everything in between. She was there every step of the way, and we will always be grateful for her! 2020 Review: Where do I begin?...Like most COVID brides, 2020 threw every challenge at us that I could've ever imagined. From postponing our wedding from May to Oct, to down-sizing our 230-guest count to just under 50, our wedding coordinator, Alana, was our champion and guiding star every step of the way. She was always in our corner to help us talk through our options and to cheer us on, even taking the reigns with coordinating the initial postponement because I was too much of a wreck to face it. I'll never forget how she stepped in when I was feeling completely and utterly defeated. I can't say enough good things about Alana. And Emily - I don't know how many contract revisions she had to make for us, but I am SO appreciative of her flexibility given all of the never-ending restriction changes. Emily and Alana run a very well-oiled machine, and my OCD/Type A personality has a very keen appreciation of that :) ...fast forwarding to the day of the wedding: Alana NAILED it. She jumped in front of every issue that came up and GOT. IT. DONE. From steaming every single dress (unsolicited!), to curating an alternate photo plan given a sudden rainy/cold day, to handling a full timeline revision due to new COVID restrictions just 24 hours in advance, I could not have asked for better support. Alana played a critical role in helping my vision come to life while allowing me to sit back and enjoy all the hard work I had put into the day. There's nothing she didn't handle (even a crotchety photographer who didn't think the mask rule applied to him -_-). Alana gets 5 stars all around and a rave review from me - I couldn't have asked for more!! <3

We had so much fun with her at our tastings, venue tour, etc. Then COVID hit. She would message me frequently and check in. Listen to me cry, and share in the little accomplishments. She helped us turn things right side up again and have the most beautiful non-traditional wedding during a very unusual time in life. She was my rock and my friend and I miss her already. Anything I needed she didn't hesitate to help. She even let this OCD planner know when it was ok to wait on things a little bit longer. ;) Emily you are a dream! My only regret is that we didn't get any day of pictures together. Thank you for all of your hard work and support. We love you! 10 Stars!

the COVID safety restrictions on gatherings were put in place, and we had to navigate on the fly. Emily was a huge help with figuring out how to proceed, contacting the vendors as necessary, and just being a friendly person in our corner as our dream wedding got postponed by a virus we couldn't control. Prior to that whole fiasco, Emily was also really helpful with helping us figure out the layout (for a backyard wedding!), contingency plans, and vendor plans. She's warm, level-headed, and practical. Exactly what we need! We're looking forward to our big celebration still, with Emily, once we can have it safely.

In that moment, I knew I picked the right wedding coordinator. Fast forward to the wedding day, our La Hora Loca was perfect! Somehow every crazy idea we had came to fruition because of Emily. She is the BEST!

I called her on one occasion just for a little pep talk, and she was amazing at putting me at ease and just lending an ear. She is truly amazing, and I would highly, highly recommend her to anyone!!

ly was our three-months-out manager and Alana worked on the decor and was the day of coordinator, since Emily had another wedding that weekend. We had already done a lot of research and design work, but Emily helped us wrangle our scattered ideas into a plan. Alana helped us execute the plan, as well as planning and executing all of our florals herself (ordered the flowers wholesale and she did the arrangements)! We were able to fully enjoy our wedding day without worrying at all about setup, coordinating vendors or deliveries, or any other logistics! During the planning process, we had some issues with our venue and Emily fully resolved them so we didn’t have to have the awkward/confrontational conversations. She also helped us get in touch with some vendors who we were having a hard time reaching. She already personally knew most of our vendors, which helped make the coordination run smoothly. Alana brought a “make it work” attitude to the week leading up to our wedding. For example, we decided the week of the wedding that we would need a keyboard for our ceremony, and she immediately researched and found us one we could rent at a great price. Both Emily and Alana were very accessible by phone, text and email throughout the process and were a pleasure to work with. At first we were unsure if we were going to hire a planner, but we’re so glad we did! As soon as we had hired them, we felt so much calmer knowing Emily and Alana would take care of some of the more overwhelming or confusing organizational tasks. Other than a couple of very minor hiccups, our wedding day ran extremely smoothly and we were so happy, thanks in large part to Emily and Alana’s hard work!

She was able to anticipate things we never saw coming, solve issues before they arose, and make the day run so smoothly. It was like a dream! She kept us on schedule and wasn't afraid to jump in when needed and corral our guests/families for quick photos. And she made it her mission to make sure we got all the photos we wanted throughout the evening. We are so grateful to her and her assistant Roey for everything they did for us to make our day the very best day ever. If I could do it all over again, I would, just to work with Emily again. A few weeks later at our tasting we met a lady who was suppose to be our coordinator, NOT EMILY, when I asked her some questions about what she would be helping us with, it seemed like she wasn't going to be doing much. She said I should ask some family friends to put my decor around the venue, and that she wouldn't be at the rehearsal so to have a friend run it. I left the tasting was confused as to what exactly she was going to do and feeling overwhelmed that I was going to have to find people to help me the day of my wedding. Fast forward to two months before my wedding, I got an email from Emily that she was going to be my coordinator. When I saw her email with the attachments and detailed questions I was so relieved that I was now going to be working with her instead of the original coordinator. Emily sent me a few forms to fill out that included all the decor I would be bringing, the names and contact numbers for all my vendors, important vip contact numbers, and a google folder to put my signed contract and invoices. I was so happy that I wasn't going to be the one worrying about my vendors on the day of the wedding. The day I met Emily she had a binder with all my information in it. She asked me some questions that I hadn't even thought about, and made sure I wasn't feeling overwhelmed or stressed. My husband who is a director of banquets and has met many many wedding planners was also impressed by her attention to detail. I left that meeting feeling like everything was going to be okay, and that I was being taken care of. Later that week Emily sent an email to all my vendors and helped organize my day of timeline. I had worked on that timeline on my own for months, getting everyone's time frame to work was very challenging, so when Emily said she would take care of the timeline and send the final one to all my vendors I couldn't have been happier! She took a ton of work off my shoulders, so that I could focus on enjoying my last few days before the big day. On the day of my wedding, Emily was a dream come true. She had all my decor laid out throughout the venue how I had envisioned, she made sure all my vendors were on time, she helped my bridal party get ready, she helped my husband and I and our vendors keep to our timeline, and she was simply the sweetest and kindest individual to work with! My wedding day was the best day of my life, and it was executed exactly as I had hoped for thanks to Emily! Emily is hard working, organized, detailed, caring, and passionate about what she does, and she is amazing at it! I emailed and texted Emily way way too much, and she was always so kind and so helpful in her responses! I wish I could always have Emily around to organize my events! I work in photo and film production so I am comparing Emily to some of the best producers in the world that I've seen working on hundreds of different million dollar productions over the last 20 years. Emily is among the greats! She flawlessly executed our wedding which was a destination wedding with 250 guests staying on a ranch, 2.5 hours from the closest airport with the ceremony, dinner and dance at three different venues on the ranch. It was a complicated event and she crushed it! 2. Emily is chill. This is important because the couple days before our wedding were intense and Emily kept a positive attitude that gave me the confidence to know that everything would be completed. When sh*t could have hit the fan, it didn't thanks to some quick maneuvering from Emily. 3. Emily is honest. She gave us good feedback on what everything would cost, where to expect overages, what was possible, and more importantly, what wasn't possible or at the very least, what wasn't the best idea. 4. Emily went WAY out of her way. WAY above and beyond. She drove her car 14 hours to/from our wedding, completely loaded with important items like the photo booth setup (with unicorn backdrop), beer, a guitar, and pool inflatables. That is the kind of dedication to greatness that blew my mind! 5. Emily's team is awesome. Super talented, great attitude. So thankful they were there. 6. Emily is fairly priced for her services. Maybe even underpriced. Emily isn't the cheapest, but truly provided way more value than she charged for. If you want the job done at a fair price, with unbelievably fantastic results, work with Emily. 7. Emily is fun. On our wedding night Emily had questions for me about when to close the bar, etc. I made a "rule" that every time she wanted to ask me a question, she had to dance with everyone for a minute first. Emily handled this ridiculous request perfectly. I would see her dancing her way through the crowd, she would throw down a couple moves, and then she would ask her question. Add in some golf cart races and other great moments and it's safe to say that Emily adds to the fun vibe on top of all her professional attributes. To sum it up, Emily blew my mind with her incredible hard work and great results. Thank you Emily!!!

She was sweet, caring, and understanding ready to handle issues both large and small. Her wedding emergency kit was at hand when I needed a thread cut from my tuxedo and she was more than ready to help tie the talit to the top of the chuppa right before the ceremony began. I could never say enough good things about Emily's friendly, encouraging, supportive personality, as well as her knowledge of weddings and wedding planning. She was nothing less than stellar. My wife and I will never be able to thank her enough.

end. My husband and I decided, when we first got engaged, that we wanted to do most everything as cheaply as we could except for a wedding planner. We knew right away we wanted to budget Emily in as a top priority. I had been to several of Emily's weddings, and I could see how hard she worked, and heard all the brides singing her praises. And it was 110% worth it. About two weeks before the wedding we had what could have been a potentially big disaster and almost lost our venue site, but Emily remained calm and handled the whole situation firmly and with much more grace than I would have (and she got our venue site back!). The day of the wedding, our photographers told me they loved working with Emily because she always had her weddings' timelines down to an art. My husband and I even had time between the ceremony and the reception to steal a few moments together. I felt like Emily had a firm grasp of our wedding's vision and budget, and was able to execute the whole wedding under budget but more beautiful than I could have imagined! My mother, mother-in-law, and maids of honor were able to help me with the fun things like centerpieces, and didn't have to worry about the million little details that come with planning a wedding. On the day of the wedding, I didn't have hundreds of people running up to me with minor problems or questions, Emily took care of all of that. And best of all, Emily is a really fun, sweet, and genuine person who is just a blast to work with! My husband and I will be eternally in her debt, and every time I look at our pictures I think to myself, "I could have never pulled this off without Emily!"

we were left in the lurch without a planner. In addition, I live on the east coast and was planning my wedding in Malibu from afar. Emily quickly responded to our request to meet, and I just had a very good feeling from talking with her from day one. Emily worked miracles for us. She swooped in, with the clock ticking, and quickly got in touch with all of our vendors. She helped my fiance and I get our timeline back on track and work through all the details of the wedding. Many of our vendors were tough to get in touch with, but she worked through every situation and executed every aspect perfectly. The week leading up to our outdoor beach wedding, the forecast started to look dire. Indeed, the ceremony and many of the activities we planned to do outside were going to be rained out. The day of the wedding, Emily went into Superwoman mode and coordinated with all of the vendors and venue to make it work. And most wonderful of all, I was blissfully ignorant of all the changes being made while I was getting ready. When the giant custom birch/floral archway from our florist wouldn't fit in the new indoor space, she brilliantly put it outside the window where we were married so you could still see and enjoy it. This is one of about one million ways she "made it work" and kept our vision alive despite the rain. Emily is professional, fun to work with, and a genuine person. I felt that she really made an effort to take on all the tasks at hand, so my fiance, our families, guests, and I could really enjoy the event and not worry about anything. While it poured on our wedding day, she was running in and out into the rain, taking pictures, keeping the timeline moving, and staying on top of every detail. Throughout the wedding planning process, our daily mantra was "THANK GOODNESS FOR EMILY." She made our wedding day amazing, and we could never have done it without her.

th only a couple very minor glitches that were a result of hurried planning. We would award her 5 stars if we didn't need to change the wedding date at the beginning of the planning process. We needed to be aware of our date coinciding with Balloon Fest. We would highly recommend Emily Kay. Overall, she did a fabulous job for us. I really am giving her 4 1/2 stars!!!

On the day of, our outdoor wedding was nearly rained out - it poured until about 5 minutes before our ceremony. Emily went to Plan B and then to Plan C to give us the day we wanted. At the end of the reception, she and her staff got everything broken down, put away and cleaned up in a very tight time frame. You should definitely hire Emily.

arrive or whether the rooms were set up properly-- Emily had all of that down. It was also wonderful having someone there who thought of things before I even realized they were necessary. I didn't realize how thirsty I was after the ceremony until Emily and her assistant handed me and my husband a glass of water. We even got to try our cocktail hour drinks and food despite doing pictures because they brought us some. If you're planning a wedding from out of state, need someone who can help you get organized with schedules, coordinate with outside vendors and ensure everyone gets paid on time, or just need a calm, friendly person to talk when you are starting to get worried about wedding logistics I would highly recommend Emily!
