Every meeting or call we had for our planning sessions had us feeling less stressed for the big day and filled with so much more clarity around our next steps. They're both super organized and immediately provided us with a LOT of resources to help us plan effectively - budgeting sheets, master decor trackers, timeline templates, layouts for our venue, seating chart templates... you name it, they had it! And because of their experience and connections, they were SUPER helpful in giving recommendations whenever we needed... like where to have our after party, was a HUGE HIT! What also stood in our experience was how involved and collaborative we could be throughout the planning process with them. This seems like a no-brainer comment, but for a couple that wanted to be SUPER involved in every aspect of the wedding, this was huge! And because they're just genuinely wonderful people to work with, they gave us the space and confidence to explore taking a unique twist with our wedding that made it feel unconventional yet authentic to us as a couple. We spent so much time reviewing every aspect of the wedding (timelines, decor, my extensive planning powerpoint) so that we would feel confident & well-prepped going into our wedding - this was a massive help! In addition to all the virtual planning sessions, we were so fortunate to do in person walk-throughs at our venue with them (and some of our vendors) because we were all local. And soon enough it was a few days before our wedding and they led our ceremony rehearsal with our family so easily. With organization and precision, we watched as they walked everyone through the entire venue, timeline of the day, our wedding ceremony + processional and where to stand for speeches. We both have very lively families but Luciana and Masumi handled everything with ease which had everyone feeling so excited for the big day! And on the day of the wedding? Words cannot truly describe how grateful we are to them for being there and ensuring our wedding went smoothly. And when I say there were no issues on the day of our wedding, THERE. WERE. NO. ISSUES. Luciana and Masumi were fantastic at navigating the beautiful chaos of the wedding and really took care of us and our guests. The best part? I mean, apart from all of it, they went above and beyond to turn our flower arrangements into bouquets for guests to take with them, they cleaned up EVERYTHING, brought our whole wedding vision to life (and so much more) AND even came to our after party to dance the night away. What's been so incredible about this experience with them is not only did we get to work with the most talented, compassionate and kind-hearted people, but we made lifelong friends through the process. reaming about her wedding day... so it took almost two years post-engagement to even contemplate looking into what a wedding would look like. And one-day, while scrolling through Instagram, I serendipitously stumbled upon a post of a wedding that had the perfect "vibe"... exactly the vibe I'd want if I were to have a wedding - intimate, vibrant, loving, detailed, and custom. It's one of the very few moments Instagram's algorithm did its job, and I'm forever thankful. I reached out, of course Luciana responded immediately, and the rest is history :) THE PROCESS After our first meeting with one of the founders, Luciana, we instantly signed the contract for Full Services. We didn't even know if we wanted a wedding but Luciana gave us confidence that she would help us find a solution that felt right for us. She was so efficient in getting this done that within two months of hiring Events by GS, we not only decided to have a wedding but also locked down a beautiful venue in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, a place we never thought of as an option but Luciana creatively suggested after listening to our vision of what we'd want our wedding to look like. After we locked down the venue, Luciana kept the planning process very clear and organized via several spreadsheets and very frequent check-in calls. We also started to work with Masumi, the co-founder who is a designer-genius, to make sure our stylistic vision came true - not an easy feat! I also have to note that a lot of the vendors we used in PV were not fluent in English so Luciana, who is fluent in Spanish, was essential in getting anything done...negotiating prices was just the perfect cherry on top :) THE OUTCOME For a bride who never dreamt of having a wedding, I was definitely picky in taste and stubborn in the kind of "vibe" I wanted..which is so vague right? But Luciana and Masumi absolutely NAILED it. The FREQUENT check-ins probably helped :) I also didn’t realize how important it would be to have your wedding planners as the day-of wedding coordinators. We had a 4 day extravaganza and Luciana made sure every day was perfectly planned but what we will never forget is how essential she was in making our wedding day feel like an absolute party - with no stress and worry. There were several stressful situations - from the venue staff being slow to get things done, a power outage, etc - that Luciana not only handled herself but also handled with such grace and efficiency that we had no idea things were breaking behind the scenes. I will never be able to thank her enough for how calm she stayed throughout the day. It helped us stay in the moment and truly enjoy every second of our special day. Also, one note… after our wedding day, we kept saying that money can’t buy good energy. Luciana and Masumi have the BEST energy and are just truly great, sincere, high-integrity individuals. Weddings can be stressful but the duo honestly feel like weighted gravity blankets and also genies in a bottle that make your wedding dreams come true…if that makes sense? She kept it light and fun throughout the process, which was especially helpful in shaking off any stress or day of jitters. Luciana was ON IT when it came to executing the event, and while no event goes exactly according to plan, she was quick to think on her feet and adjust on the go. We provided what we had for decor without much other direction and let Masumi work her magic in bringing it all together. We also greatly appreciated borrowing from their inventory of decor, which is so helpful if you are interested in reducing your footprint and minimizing the number of "new" things purchased. Overall, we shared our general vision of the day and the vibe we were looking for as far as flow and design, and just trusted the two of them to bring it all to life. The day turned out so much better than we could have imagined! RUN, don't walk, to work with this amazing duo for your wedding day! You will absolutely not regret it.

y several close friends and family that we seemed “totally at ease” and “not stressed at all” as we headed toward the biggest day of our life – and it was totally true, thanks to them. Don’t get us wrong, no wedding (or the year of planning) is completely stress free, or hiccup free. But our partnership (and it was completely a partnership!) with Luciana and Masumi kept us on track, focused, and calm. Luciana’s past experience in the hospitality industry meant she knew how to navigate not only the obvious parts of the event, like menu and music, but also the hidden parts, like timelines and contracts. Masumi’s design expertise brought all of our ideas to life; we came to the table with general ideas like colors and “vibe,” but she was able to pull it all together in a cohesive and exciting vision. Both of their professional connections put us in touch with some of the best vendors available in San Francisco, and don’t get us started on the “Day Of” operations! I’ve never seen two individuals work harder and smarter than these two, and everything went off without a hitch. The reality is modern day weddings have a lot of complex, moving pieces to keep track of. But all anyone wants is for it to be about the couple, their love, and sharing it with friends and family. Thanks to Events by GS, that’s exactly how we experienced our wedding day – and we’ll be forever grateful.

In the days leading up to the wedding and on the day itself, we had multiple people say how calm and relaxed we both seemed about everything, but that was because we knew we were in good hands with Luciana and Masumi. From moment one, Luciana was responsive and professional. She asked great questions and kept us on task. We went with the month of service, as we already had vendors picked out, but Luciana went above and beyond the agreed upon service and started ramping up three months before our wedding day. Our other vendors also remarked on how easy it was to work with Luciana. When the day came, she took care of the little details that we had missed - I still don't even know how she did it all. She even took care of our dog, Toby, during the ceremony and was incredibly gracious when he took off at the end of the ceremony and nearly pulled her off a steep cliff! Masumi has an incredible eye for design and listened impeccably to what we were hoping for. She not only took what our ideas were and built on them, she was also able to gently steer us away from choices that ultimately wouldn't have meshed with the vibe we were going for. The signage and flowers she put together were stunning and even better than what we had imagined in our heads. She stayed back at the reception venue, and we will never forget her being there to greet us with our signature cocktails - with all of the set-up done impeccably. We are incredibly grateful to both Luciana and Masumi, and we would highly recommend them to anyone getting married or putting on an event.

It was such a relief to hand over the vendor contacts to Luciana and the design/layout to Masumi because we knew we were in good hands. Luciana and Masumi had also worked with our reception venue, Stable Cafe, on multiple occasions and had an excellent working relationship with the venue. You can tell how amazing they are by the strength of their industry connections! Both Luciana and Masumi were extraordinary on our wedding day. They managed hiccups without us even knowing and kept the party going alllllll day. Most importantly though, all of our friends and family loved them as much as we do!

You won’t regret it!

t. Luciana is organized, no-nonsense, and gets things done, but is also understanding and polite when dealing with brides/grooms, wedding parties, and family. There were a couple snafus during the planning process. They sent us two different budget spreadsheets for us to choose from, but then they referenced the wrong one and started planning with a placeholder budget that was larger than we planned. We also wish they provided a little more support in helping us find vendors because we had to do a lot of that leg work ourselves. Their full service coordinator package is advertised as “ideal for couples who have completed portions of their planning and need less assistance,” and the price was right for the services they provided, but I do think it would be more accurate to call it partial planning instead of full service. They met with us monthly over Zoom and did two in person meetings during the planning process, one to do a venue walkthrough early on and another later on to do a tablescape mock-up at the party rental company. Luciana was very focused during our meetings and kept us on track. Masumi put together a beautiful design board for us and provided design feedback. They provided us with helpful questions to ask our vendors and also reviewed vendor contracts for us which was helpful. They really shone on the wedding day itself, where all of the stuff they did behind the scenes made the day flow smoothly so that we, our families, and the wedding party were absolutely stress-free on the wedding day. There were a few things that ran slightly behind schedule while we were getting ready, but because of Luciana’s take-charge spirit, we got to the church on time and nothing important ran behind schedule. My maid of honor remarked that it was the most stress free wedding day she had ever been a part of! Masumi’s eye for design came alive beautifully on the wedding day. She was helpful in determining what would make the biggest impact within our budget and worked with our florist to ensure everything looked absolutely beautiful on the wedding day. We walked into our reception garden and were blown away by how beautiful everything looked, and the tablescapes were so well done. Our guests talked for days about how lovely it all looked!

She helped take care of the fine details and organizational behind the scenes and we are so appreciative. She was available and responsive every step of the way and helped us to stay on track and on budget. Super flexible with the changes while also helping redirect and ground us back to our vision. Masumi helped us from step one- from creating the vision with us to bringing it to life. Her mood design boards were already stunning to begin with, but the end result turned out even better than we could've ever imagined!! Our guests are still talking about how awestruck they were with every part of the wedding and it couldn't have happened without Luciana and Masumi leading this dream team.

All the details were amazing on our wedding day, the organization - again, was fantastic. Decoration? Amazing! Attention to detail since the beginning was 100%. I was very anxious and nervous before the ceremony and Luciana was really an angel at that moment. She was so kind, patient. She made sure I felt secure and comfortable. My mom and I will never forget that. They both brought such positive energy to our wedding and all of our guests couldn’t stop talking about it. As a gay couple, it was also important to us to have a planning team that would help us think through the non-traditional nuances that come with a same-sex wedding as well as find a set of vendors that were unwaveringly pro-LGBTQ+. In addition to their excellence in planning and design, Luciana and Masumi were able to empathize and execute on these details, which further put our mind at ease and allowed us to fully enjoy our celebration. I was referred to Luciana and Masumi by our photographer Hannah from Hannah Berglund Photography as she’s worked with this power couple for multiple weddings and raved that they were extremely hard-working, detail-oriented, and overall a fun spirit to be around. It was important to me that my vendors enjoy working with each other so I had my call with Luciana and the rest was history. We hired Luciana and Masumi for partial planning and design - but I’m going to be honest, they went ABOVE AND BEYOND just partial planning to make our day the best day of our lives. The past year working with them was so enjoyable and stress-free. They would show up to every single venue walk-through we had with our vendors just to make sure every detail was ironed out for the big day. Masumi also has a brilliant design eye and created a mood board based off of the most important qualities my husband and I had and at the end it was executed to perfection. During the day of the event they did everything and more. Here are only some of the details I noticed that took away all the weight off our shoulders: 1) They stayed beyond their contract hours to pack up all of our linens/napkins to be returned back to our rental vendors 2) they loaned us some of their personal decor and it elevated our reception even more 3) THEY HANDLED WEDDING CRASHERS WITH GRACE. We had no idea there were crashers but Luciana came to us mid-dinner and says “they’re taken care of” - talk about a secret agent! 4) Luciana held my veil up for some iconic photography shots since the wind started to pick up 5) We were behind schedule for cake cutting after returning from couple photos but Masumi acted so quickly and moved our cake table from our sweetheart table to the dance floor which ended up being the most iconic SF cake cutting location (photos attached). Overall, Luciana and Masumi are a dream team to have as planners and I am happy to say that we are looking forward to remaining close even after our dream day. We planned a destination wedding with them and it was the best decision we ever made. They also had services to help us plan the rehearsal and after wedding festivities which allowed us to enjoy our celebration with no pressure on us. Leading up to the big day they were exceptional in hyping us up while simultaneously keeping us calm. My wife said it best Luciana was “everywhere and no where” all at the same time. Our family and friends raved about every aspect of the wedding. From the napkins to the surprises they somehow kept from us, it was a gorgeous weekend of fun from start to finish. Luciana and Masumi were also well-loved by the family even when they were prodding everyone to get to the right places at the right time (e.g. time to get on the shuttles to the ceremony/time to get back onto the shuttles/time to do the first look/time for dinner...). Our wedding party had people from different continents, completely different cultures, and all of them loved Luciana and Masumi. 5/5 would work with again!

m. I thought there wouldn't be much for them to do after I booked everyone, but wow was I wrong. They worked with all the vendors to create an extremely detailed timeline, made sure a procrastinator like me was on top of all my tasks, made appropriate recommendations when I felt paralyzed by decisions, and generally just made sure every last minute detail was taken care of, most of which I wouldn't even think of myself. Everyone kept telling us how chill and not stressed we were throughout the process, and it was only because we trusted that we were in such great hands with Luciana and Masumi. I highly recommend them and would not have wanted anyone else on my team!

Luciana & Masumi had dozens of calls and in-person meetings with us that honestly felt like getting together with friends. I wanted to highlight just a few things that Events by GS did for us that were completely above & beyond expectations. They drove hours (in Bay Area traffic) to visit our venue site and visit rental warehouses for us. During the event, they stayed well beyond contract! They picked up extra ice from the store at 11pm to keep our party going. They even got behind the bar and mixed drinks when our other vendors had left! They loaned us rentals (such as candle holders) and walked us through each and every rental and order we needed to make. Masumi has an unmatched eye when it comes to design. As mentioned, we didn't really have a "vision" and she helped to pull it out of us. She then suggested decor and rentals that would fill that vision perfectly. During the ceremony, Masumi and Luciana setup the venue (our backyard) to completely exceed our expectations. Even though they checked every item with me beforehand and where it should be, I trusted their creative license with the whole reception. On the day of my wedding, I was so happy that Luciana & Masumi were there not just to coordinate and design, but also as friends. I had every ounce of trust on my wedding day knowing it was all in their hands. I look forward to keeping in touch with their team and I'm truly sad that our time working together has come to an end!
