My friend found Jacklyn for me when I was in the initial stages of wedding planning. I live in California and was planning a wedding in Virginia- which is not the easiest. After FaceTiming with Jacklyn I knew her and her team would be perfect for the job. Jacklyn is the sweetest. The best money I spent was hiring a wedding planner. My day was stress free and it’s because of her and her team! We got married May 11, 2019- after having to postpone our September wedding due to hurricane Florence. Unfortunately this made Jacklyn’s job a lot more difficult. Some of my vendors had to change and it was essentially like replanning another wedding. She did it so well, and such a great support. Her kindness and skills are unmatched. She truly has a servant heart and made sure I was happy no matter what. Hire her already!

I always knew I wanted to use Jacklyn as my wedding coordinator after witnessing her work her magic at a friends wedding more than 7 years ago. Even before I was dating my now husband, I knew I was going to ask her to help me. You could say it was a little crazy, BUT after seeing exactly how hard she works and how deeply she cares for her brides just by attending a wedding of hers- I was sold! The day of my wedding, every single detail and transition was seamless. It was like every time I had a thought, Jacklyn was there with exactly what I needed. I really can’t express enough how even during the planning process, she made every single meeting a joy to go to. Jacklyn provided amazing and personalized support as our "day of wedding coordinator." She was patient, helpful, and very professional throughout the planning process and on the wedding weekend. Hiring Events by Jacklyn was one of the best decisions I made while planning our October wedding! We worked directly with Allison and I can honestly say, without her there is no way our wedding would have gone as smoothly! From organizing the timeline to getting answers from vendors to making my vision come to life while I was getting ready off site, she took care of every little detail. I was able to kick back, relax, and spend the morning enjoying some time with my bridesmaids and never once worried about how things were going at the venue. Jacklyn did an excellent job organizing our wedding this past December. She was able to connect us with great vendors (caterers, flower arrangers, etc.) and helped us stay on top of everything. Our wedding day was perfect and we are incredible thankful for all she did to make our wedding day go just as we hoped it would!

Hire Jacklyn. Just do it. She was our day of coordinator and she and her team absolutely rocked it. Anything we needed, she was ahead of the game. We had to flip the venue between the ceremony and the reception. Jacklyn got it done in record time. She also organized everything for us to get to eat, put extras to go in the car for us, and even had drinks ready for the send off. Everything was perfectly timed. We got to actually talked and love on all of our guests. It was awesome. Cool Story: My wife asked me 6 months after the wedding if I knew that we ran out of wine at the wedding. I had no idea. Jacklyn had sent out her assistant to get more before either of us noticed. Like I said, hire her. You won't regret it.

Our daughter's wedding was this past weekend and if I could give someone just one piece of advice it would be to hire Jacklyn as your wedding planner! From the first meeting until the final moments of the wedding she was so amazing - such a calming presence - so full of expert advice and care. Every vendor we worked with spoke so highly of her. She made each and every step of this process easy and enjoyable. She is wonderful to work with and shows that she truly cares about her client and desires to make their dream wedding come true! Jacklyn and her team are sweet ,calm,and confident. There was a big sense of relief when they arrived. We felt no stress on the wedding day-things seemed to take care of themselves. When my daughter said that we needed a wedding coordinator I was skeptical. We’re pretty organized and I felt like it was an unnecessary expense. After working with Jacklyn , I have a completely different opinion. It turns out there were many details I had not considered. Having Jacklyn guide us through the process gave me peace of mind. Jacklyn is an outstanding wedding coordinator. She recently coordinated my daughters wedding and she is organized, knowledgeable and reliable. She even fielded a last-minute outdoor wedding change was going to be in the rain! She did a superb job moving 130 people the day before the wedding from outside to inside our venue. The first time my daughter and I met with Jacklyn, I knew we had a winner! I needed a lot of help as an out of state mother-of-the-bride! She was exactly the right full service coordinator to guide us through the maze of decisions we had ahead of us. From the venue to the vendors and so many more details, she made it all come together for Hayden’s dream wedding. She kept us on track with the timeline and helped us prioritize the budget. The day of the wedding was wonderful and we all had a great experience. It was a pleasure and a joy to work with such a sweet and talented person.

Everything on my day was absolutely flawless. It was wonderful to have someone to coordinate everything so neither my mother nor I had to worry about anything (except having a good time). My spouse was not too thrilled when I hired Jacklyn, but at the end of the evening he turned to Jacklyn and said “ok, i guess you were worth it.” Which for him meant that she was definitely worth it and he appreciated her being there. For him to admit that is a huge deal!!!! We only hired Jacklyn for day of services but she was definitely there for me whenever I had a question and met with me several times before the big day.

Amazing. Amazing. AMAZING. My then-fiance and I were on the fence about hiring a wedding planner at first but someone mentioned to us that it's helpful to at least have a day-of coordinator. Jacklyn was the BEST investment that we could have possibly made for our wedding. She took my vision and made it a reality with very little of my help. She made me feel at ease when I was freaking out (and trust me I was freaking out a lot) and she made the event transition seemlessly. At one point I mentioned to my husband that I didn't remember how I was cued to cut the cake and he said "oh Jacklyn reminded us!" If you are on the fence, TRUST ME when I say that Jacklyn is the best. She's clearly passionate about bringing people's vision to life. I had so many compliments at how seemlessly the day went. Jacklyn saved the day. Like, for real. With less than 60 days to go, my venue fell though and I was pretty much freaking out. Jacklyn did everything possible to pull it all together and the end result was a dream come true, the very best day of my life. This woman is amazing!

Jacklyn was absolutely wonderful to work with! She went above and beyond to make our day run smoothly after an unexpected downpour could have ruined the day. We hired her as the Day-Of Coordinator for our wedding last July and WOW - we are so lucky to have found her! She was the literal calm through the storm, as she took charge in adjusting our timeline to accommodate the rain and save our decor, and we wound up having the most beautiful sunset ceremony by the water. My daughter, Kaitlyn, was married in May 2016 in Lexington. It was a destination wedding for all of us -- her family from PA, his family from WA and the bride and groom from Fairfax. From the very beginning my daughter had a vision for her big day and we did the majority of the planning and preparations on our own. However several months before the wedding reality hit -- it was going to be an impossible task for me to coordinate all the vendors and make sure the plans were executed on the day of the wedding and still fulfill my role as mother-of-the-bride. So we decided to look into "day of" coordinators. My daughter and I met with Jacklyn and during the course of our discussion and review of the wedding day plans we realized some key details had been overlooked. Not only did we end up hiring Jacklyn but we also hired her husband, Joey, as the emcee for the reception. Jacklyn's organization and attention to detail ensured that everything came together seamlessly on the day of the wedding and I didn't have to worry about a thing. The wedding theme was rustic and casual with an outdoor ceremony and reception that included lawn games, s'mores by the fire and music and dancing in the barn. Even the brief rain showers during the reception were handled without panic. And having Joey was a God-send when the sign designed to hang above the ceremony site didn't have the appropriate hardware for hanging. Out came the drill and other tools -- the sign was hung and ready for the wedding vows. Jacklyn is easy going and has a calming influence when necessary. Her efforts ensured my daughter's wedding day was the "dream come true" she hoped it would be. And working with both Jacklyn and Joey felt more like having the help of friends than a business relationship.

Upon hiring Jacklyn as our day-of coordinator, I had no clue what a good friend I would make in Jacklyn! Her peaceful presence before and on my wedding day transferred to me and my husband as well as our families. We could trust her every move and decision to make our day the best day of our lives. The best part was that my mom did not have to pick up the "slack" and could enjoy the wedding day as much as we could. We even had a wedding crasher (not lying!!) and Jacklyn handled it with complete poise and grace! We had no clue until the next day. Now as a business owner in the wedding industry, I have been able to work with Jacklyn on weddings and styled shoots. She is always a joy to be with and is so encouraging to me as someone starting out in the industry. She won't disappoint you....ever! So if you're on the fence, hire her! You won't regret it.

My mom decided to hire Jacklyn as our day-of coordinator, and couldn't have made a better decision. (Hiring her was actually a gift from my dad to my mom to be sure that my mom could relax and enjoy the day of the wedding) It was the perfect gift! And Jacklyn was the perfect person for the job. She always made everyone feel at ease throughout the year of planning. She brought all of our ideas together and had really great suggestions for vendor choices when we were trying to keep in budget. Communication was easy even with a 4 hour time difference. Even after the reception, she was helping get all gifts, cards, and personal items into the right vehicle. We hired Jacklyn as our day of coordinator but she went above and beyond that specific title. She was involved in meetings with our other important vendors and had a great relationship with them. From the first day we sat down to discuss my wedding day vision at Starbucks, she has literally been a god-send. We hired Jacklyn for partial planning. Jacklyn was thorough and detailed in every way. She kept in constant touch with me and all the vendors. She met me at our venue in downtown Suffolk multiple times. Jacklyn was always a text or email away of we had any questions. The week of the wedding, Jacklyn and her team followed through with every single detail I had planned, even the DIY items. Knowing that she was there taking care of all things wedding, it allowed me and my now husband to enjoy our special day. We really can't say Thank You enough!

I don't even know where to start! We began the wedding planning process thinking we didn't need a planner and boy oh boy we're we wrong! When we met Jacklyn we knew she would be the perfect person to help us achieve our desires for our wedding day! She was so invested! She made us feel as though all our ideas were attainable and looking back we would have been lost without her. We hired Jacklyn as a Day-of coordinator for our wedding this fall and LOVED working with her! Weddings can be expensive, but Jacklyn is affordable, and was the best investment we made! Jacklyn will make sure that after a year of planning your vision is executed well. A day-of coordinator also means that your family is able to relax and enjoy the day. Even as just a day-of coordinator, she was involved in all of the details. She kept in touch with us in the months leading up to the big day, and was always available to answer a question. When hiring Jacklyn we were given access to an amazing online tool called Aisle Planner, which allows you to create timelines, checklists, and upload pictures for inspiration – which was super helpful in staying organized. Hiring Jacklyn gives you so much more than a professional – she is kind, encouraging, always smiling, calm, focused, and handles every situation with such grace. When I wasn’t able to have my Mom there when getting ready before the wedding, she came up with a plan for a “first look with the parents” and made sure that we had a special moment together. As a bride/groom you stay very busy during the day, but Jacklyn paid attention to all of the little things and made sure we ate food, had water, and changed into comfy shoes. Our day was perfect – and if anything went wrong, we never knew of it! In addition, all of our vendors said she was excellent at communicating with them throughout the process and loved working with her! Our photographer even posted on Instagram “I had a wonderful time with these two and loved working with EventsbyJacklyn (she is AMAZING!)”. I have a really type A personality, and we wanted our wedding theme/style to be really laid back, so I knew we would only need a day-of coordinator. I emailed Jacklyn and she was so kind (and a fellow JMU alum!) and we were able to set up a Skype session soon after. She was so thorough and was able to give so much advice and input into a lot of finite details that I was really unsure about. On the day-of, she and a summer intern (shout-out Allison for being amazing!) were all hands on deck to help us set up and coordinate with our vendors. I seriously don't know what I would have done without her. We were able to fully enjoy the day knowing Jacklyn had it under control. We are so thankful for her work and her ability to serve others. She is wonderful and someone you definitely want by your side on your wedding day!

We hired Jacklyn to do day-of coordination for our backyard wedding in June 2017. She was so great! From day one she was incredibly personable, helpful, sweet, and straightforward about all aspects of the process. Though we only hired her for day-of coordination, it felt like she was right there with us throughout the entire process. On the day of the wedding she and her team were absolute rock stars. They took care of tasks we hadn't even discussed previously, helped set up decorations beautifully with very little direction from me, and somehow dealt with the fact that the caterer's oven wasn't working prior to the ceremony. I'm still not sure how that got resolved but the fact that I don't know to this day speaks to Jacklyn and her team's problem solving prowess. I was more relaxed than I ever would have envisioned I could be on my wedding day because I knew she had it all covered. Overall, we couldn't speak more highly Jacklyn!

Jacklyn was a God send! She's so sweet and easy to talk to. As a budget-conscious bride, I am very appreciate of her resourceful ideas and connections. After tossing around a few ideas in the beginning, she was quick to help put together a mood board that captured my vision and more. Even better, she helped to bring the pages of that same mood board to life! I have a type-A personality, so her aisle planner software was one of my favorite parts of the planning process. Everything was in one place! She had a positive attitude and brought me back to Earth when we ran into issues with vendors, contracts, and other details. The only reason I didn't give her 5 stars is because as a type-A, and a little controlling, bride there were times when I wasn't happy with her responsiveness. Since we opted for a full-service planner, when I was working on wedding tasks and needed her assistance, I expected her attention at least within the same day. But sometimes due to engagements with other brides and family vacations, it would take a few days to hear back from her. However, when it came to the week of our wedding, she was super-attentive and detail-oriented. We couldn't have been more pleased with how everything turned out. So overall, we were very pleased with Jacklyn's services.

We hired Jacklyn to do partial planning for us for our August wedding and she was a lifesaver! I wanted to be very involved but I had no idea what I was doing and we were trying to plan it in less than 4 months. I could not have asked for a better planner! She had many brides but made me feel like I was the only one. She went above and beyond in every way and spent so much time helping us plan our perfect day! She helped us stick to our budget but adjusted it to our priorities and where we thought the money was more worth spending. I know all the reviews posted here are glowing for Jacklyn (and rightfully so). But, the effort she put in for our wedding was extraordinary. We had the bad luck of Hurricane Matthew crashing our wedding weekend. Jacklyn would have been fully in the right to remove herself from the event to stay with her family. Roads were bad, trees were down, and power was out. Instead she helped us re-plan our wedding on the fly. She was calm, cool and super flexible. It is easy for a wedding planner to be amazing when there are no major setbacks. But to see truly how good she is, throw a natural disaster her way and watch her shine. We had an amazing day thanks to Jacklyn. Wedding guests raved...which is pretty good considering our venue never had power the entire time. Simply great...thank you Jacklyn! Jennifer & Ben Giancola

Jacklyn was awesome! In our first meeting she impressed me as someone able to keep her cool AND her sense of humor in a hectic situation which was exactly what I wanted in a day-of coordinator. I was able to relax on the wedding day knowing that Jacklyn understood my vision and was going to be able to take care of all of the details my type-A personality was worried about ;) She was responsive via email and text during the planning process and met with us whenever we asked - including a walk-through at the venue a month out from the wedding. Jacklyn felt like an old friend from the get-go and even though a few issues came up on the wedding day, she handled them calmly, letting us know only because it involved additional cost, and our guests never knew the difference. I highly recommend Events by Jacklyn - she helped make our day fantastic!

Jacklyn was the best day-of coordinator any bride could ask for! I was so relaxed through my whole wedding, and I have Jacklyn to thank for that! Her attention to detail was incredible. She was amazing at keeping things moving to our time schedule, and always around if I needed something. She was flexible and helped to make last minute changes work seamlessly. I was so happy with her elegant touches that matched my wedding's feel. She moved flowers around as we changed locations, fixed anything that was out of place, and made sure that the venue stayed looking top-notch throughout the entire event. She even stayed after the party finished to help with clean up. Jacklyn is a wonder! What every bride, and especially what every bride’s mother is dreaming of both before and especially on the day of the wedding. She is so polite and courteous. She listened to everything my daughter and I wanted and made it all happen and fall into place with what appeared to be total ease. She always had a smile on her face making me believe that everything was going smoothly so I could relax and not worry. She didn’t pester me with details, but was always close at hand so I could run to her with a question or request if I felt the need. There were several occasions where I started to go to her and as if reading my mind, she was taking care of whatever it was just as I began to approach her. I was able to sit with my girls and watch them get there hair done, have my nails painted and laugh with them. I was there to see my daughter get dressed and be a part of all the pre- wedding happenings with a smile on my face and only the expected twinge of worry in my heart. Jacklyn made me realize at the reception that I could sit back and relax, enjoy my guests, watch my daughter on her special day and even have a dance or two. And she was still there at the end of it all, making sure everything was picked up and everyone was happy. I cannot tell express enough how pleased we all were with Jacklyn's service and yes – a sense of friendship. Her demeanor made us all feel as if she knew us well - a family friend who was there to help us get through the day and make sure we all came away with a huge smile on our face! My band, The Groove Motive, recently played a wedding reception that Jacklyn coordinated. She did an amazing job managing all of us vendors and all of the related activities. She is great to work with, extremely personable and responsive.

Jacklyn was a lifesaver! She consulted on my wedding and did our day-of coordination. Jacklyn went above and beyond to work with our budget and meet with me at stores and even picked up some rental items for our wedding reception! It is safe to say that Jacklyn has become apart of our family. Jacklyn not only was the wedding planner for my wedding but was the wedding planner for 3 of the 4 weddings in my family. (The only reason she did not help with my brothers is because she was still in high school when he got married) I can vouch for all of us that she went above and beyond in every aspect. where do I start?! Jacklyn went above and beyond to make sure I didn't stress over a single detail the day of my wedding- she was my "go to!!" She understands the the importance of a stress free wedding day and takes away all the pressure! and thank God she was there when emergencies arose! Jacklyn was the best decision I made about my wedding. We had an outdoor, backyard wedding with lots of moving pieces, vendors, and DIY efforts.
