Janette is incredibly kind and calming! We worked with her for a year up to our wedding and she provided great recommendations for vendors and an excellent check list to make sure we were on track. She and her whole team were excellent on the day of the wedding! Super affordable and helpful! The florals she put together were gorgeous!
We hired Janette last minute for our florals and rented her chuppah. She wasn't available but she sent two of her assistants. They were great and executed our requests exactly as expected. She was also the most affordable florist we spoke to (granted, we were looking very close to the wedding date). The chuppah is very beautiful.
Janette was our wedding planner and florist for our wedding this summer, It was a complex event involving two locations (our backyard in a rural area and a restaurant 30 minutes away as well as 3 hotels that 120 guests had to be shuttled to and from). It was so complex that initially we were unsure if we could even pull it off. Hiring Janette was the best decision we ever made! She assured us that it could be done, and she was right.
From the get-go, Janette was extremely organized and always a step or five ahead of us, while being cheerful, friendly, and flexible when we changed our mind on something or were slower than expected in our wedding planning homework tasks.
Janette has a wealth of experience and a great event planning network: she connected us with trusted vendors she had worked with (such as our photographer, DJ, the furniture rental company, and the catering company for the post-wedding brunch). The manager at our event venue restaurant had also worked with Janette multiple times before and was happy to hear that Janette would be in charge. She clearly has an excellent reputation in the industry! Every vendor we hired upon her recommendation did excellent work. I would trust Janette's recommendations blindly.
Another big plus for us was that Janette is also a florist and could do all the flowers for our wedding herself, from bridal and bridesmaids bouquets to flower arrangements for tables, vases, and outdoor signs. Janette also has a lot of rentals available for reasonable prices, which come in handy to put finishing touches on the design. In our case, she created a beautiful wedding arch by draping our oak tree in white fabric and adding flowers, hanging lanterns, pedestals with beautiful flower arrangements, etc., from her collection. Janette also created and provided beautiful graphics and images for our dinner menu, wedding ceremony, outdoor signage, signature cocktails, table signs and escort cards, etc.
We went through months of planning and enjoyed the process. Janette is a true professional who kept us informed, in control as much or as little as we wanted to, on timeline, and on budget.
Everything went off without a hitch, and we could truly enjoy our wedding day without worries or stress. It was more magical and wonderful than we could have dreamed of, and this is truly due to Janette's professionalism and experience! I would hire her again in a heartbeat. We had an amazing experience with Janette and her team and cannot recommend her highly enough!

We highly recommend Janette at Events by the Bay for wedding planning and florals. We hired Janette as our month-of planner and to do the florals and decor for the wedding, and she was amazing to work with. We were really impressed with her organization, attention to detail, and creativity.
For the florals and decor, we first answered some questions around the vision we had for our wedding day, and Janette quickly put together a full proposal. We chose the California Academy of Sciences as our venue, and were using various spaces within it. We had a general idea of the look we wanted, but we hadn’t thought too much about details – Janette filled in all these gaps with several great ideas that we were able to choose from. Our florals were absolutely beautiful, from the chuppah (Janette had various chuppah options) to the bouquets to the dinner table. Our dinner was in an animal-focused hall, so Janette came up with the idea to use small animal magnets for holding up our name cards that guests could then take home as a small gift. She even hand-painted the animals herself. At least half of our guests commented on how much they loved these, and we definitely wouldn’t have thought of it ourselves.
For the planning, Janette helped put together a timeline for us, get all vendors on the same page, and helped us organize a walk-through with everyone to make sure we were aligned for the big day. The week of the wedding, Janette made sure everything was in place and went with our family to the venue to walk through the ceremony. On the day of the wedding, everything ran perfectly smoothly. Janette and her team took care of all the coordination, and made sure we mainly kept to our planned timing for the day without it feeling invasive at all. We honestly didn’t have to worry about a single thing, and we were able to fully relax and enjoy the day. It was truly an amazing day, and we could not have imagined it being any better – a lot of that is thanks to Janette!
Events by the Bay also had great pricing for both planning and florals. Janette was really responsive to our emails and texts, and helped keep us on track for tasks leading up to the wedding. She is also very experienced, and knew exactly what to do to make sure everything looked amazing and ran smoothly. Overall, Janette made the wedding planning process so much easier and more enjoyable!

We hired Janette and Events by the Bay for month-of coordination, floral, and decor services for our wedding on September 23, 2023. She absolutely exceeded our expectations, and we're so grateful to her and her team for making our wedding day run smoothly. Janette was incredibly communicative, especially during the month before the wedding, when she helped us make sure every moving piece fit together. At one point, we realized we didn't have a vendor to help with set-up and tear-down of the reception space, and she helped us fill that gap. Janette created our floor plan, asked insightful questions during our walkthrough, and was regularly in touch with our other vendors. She created floral arrangements and set up decor that matched our inspiration photos perfectly. I gasped when I saw my bouquet--it was that gorgeous. Her staff were kind, respectful, and super on top of the timeline. The icing on the cake was the pricing--Janette has incredibly competitive prices for all services she offers. Her business truly is a one-stop shop for so many key pieces you need for a wedding. Highly recommend!

Janette was amazing as our day of coordinator. Our day ran so smoothly because of her and we couldn't have done it without her!
Janette helped us a ton throughout planning and setup. She had a great deal of experience with our venue (the Brazil Room), and this helped a lot as we discussed timelines and decor. On the day of our wedding, Janette oversaw the setup of all of our florals and decor, which turned out more beautiful than we had even envisioned.
She had two assistants on the day of as well, Pooja and Rebecca, who were always somehow one step ahead of everything - they set aside drinks and cake for us, gifts for our guests, and I’m sure tons of other things we weren’t aware of behind the scenes. They were so on top of everything, and the night was totally stress free for us!
Overall, we highly recommend Janette and couldn't have imagined our wedding without her and her team.

Janette and her team were great and really made the day go smoothly. We used her as a month of coordinator and it was so nice to be able to get her opinions, suggestions, and help as we got closer to the big day. I also loved that she offered other services like florals and rentals. We utilized all these things and it was great to know that she had it all handled. I felt that she was a great value but still gave you a premium service.
The package they prepared for us based on our preferences was wonderful, and they easily adjusted to minor tweaks. The bouquets and center pieces were beautiful but above all, the chuppah was just astonishing. It was so beautiful! I can’t thank them enough for providing such a gorgeous structure for the ceremony.
Working with events by the Bay was so wonderful. I am so glad my husband and I made the choice to hire for the month of coordination and not just the day off. Janette was very attentive to our needs and walked us through the flow of the day and the wedding rehearsal. Janette was absolutely amazing as our day-of coordinator! We were pretty stressed with planning the wedding ourselves, but as soon as we talked through the details with Janette, we felt immediately better and trusted that she'd be able to bring our plans to life. She asked such good questions to help us identify any gaps in our plans and had so many great recommendations to help make our day even better. We also rented some items through her and it made our day SO much less stressful.
Leading up to the day, and on the day, Janette was an absolute pro. She was so calm, organized, supportive, and professional throughout everything. She was always a few steps ahead of everyone and kept us all on track; we didn't have to worry about the little things during such a whirlwind of a day, and that made all the difference. We originally were going to plan the wedding ourselves, but as it got closer to the date we knew we needed help. We found Janette, she was exactly what we needed and at an affordable price. She not only did the planning, but also the floral arrangements which were gorgeous. Even though there were definite last minute hiccups, she handled everything with ease and delivered a day we will never forget. She even helped us out when we weren’t sure what to do with our dog while on our honeymoon. I HIGHLY recommend Janette and Events By The Bay.
OMG - Janette is AMAZING! She did our flowers and "day of". She really did more than "day of"- she did our place cards - our table arrangements - figured out how the venue was going to look - every detail. No detail was too small.
Including at the end of the party (very late) she went with us to our hotel which was close to the wedding venue. Good thing, because we actually didn't have our room keys - or ID -and the hotel folks were seriously not going to let us in (WHAAAAT?). Janette saved he day (or night as it were). I cannot recommend her highly enough!
