I was a venue Sonia and the team at Events Cherished hired for a wedding. Sonia is incredibly detailed and really understood the vision of her wedding couple, and how the venue can fit into that vision. The event was executed flawlessly and the bridal couple could not contain their smiles and joy - you could see just how happy they were with their entire event. There is no substitute for a polished planner like Sonia. When I first met her, her passion was obvious. She knows what shes talking about, loves what she does and cares deeply about her clients. I have worked with Sonia on several events and don't know how she does it. The obvious answer is experience. This is who you want on your side negotiating contracts, managing logistics and on the spot problem solving.

Thank goodness for Events Cherished! Sonia and her team planned and executed my sister's wedding last year and was so amazing I knew I had to seek out her services again for mine! She is professional even in the face of adversity; read, effectively handles any vendors who will try to nickel-and-dime your love! She helped keep all of the many, many details organized. I've yet to master excel but Sonia definitely is on point! When she would break a complex issue down for me, the information was always clear, effective and beautifully organized in a spreadsheet without fail. She was also very responsive and it was never long before seemingly large issues were resolved, most times without much effort on my part! I truly don't know how she did it. Most importantly, she was a part of the day. I got excited when she came around and I could tell she was excited with me! With Events Cherished, it's very apparent that this job is personal. She is so passionately invested in making your day as great as you can imagine! The limiting factor in a lot of ways was my own imagination. If you think it, she will know a way to get it done and be able to advise you accordingly. She really knows the industry and will go above and beyond to help you realize your dream wedding scenario. Day of support was so nice! If there was a problem or if I was feeling hungry, a solution and/or snack bar was never far from reach. I saw this happen with my sister and knew that I would want the same peace of mind for day of craziness. Something will happen, and Sonia and her team will handle it. I thought it was interesting that, as the bride, I got to decide how involved I wanted to be in the process! Turns out, I would rather close my eyes, hope for the best, and instead focus on marrying the love of my life! I am so happy I had that option. Events Cherished helped keep my mind where it was meant to be and threw a fabulous party everyone enjoyed. Thank you so much!!!

AMAZING!!! Sonia has done two weddings for my family so far because she is just that amazingly helpful! Both weddings were extremely different, yet beautiful because she really listens to exactly what the bride wants. This past year I had the pleasure of working closely along side her, since I was the maid of honor for my sister's wedding earlier this May. She was so wonderful, she was with us every step of the way for the entire year leading up to the wedding. Not only was she always immediately responsive to all our questions but she also took the time to hear and recreate our vision of the perfect wedding!!! At one point she even went extremely out of her way to protect us from being bullied into paying more by other companies in the wedding industry who tried to change pricing last minute. By the end of the process she honestly felt like a big sister protecting us and guiding us to have the perfect day!!! WOW! I had the most perfect wedding day thanks to Arselie from the Events Cherished team! She was so on top of every detail and every arrangement, I didn't have an ounce of fear or worry my entire day. I got to focus on being a bride, and she handled everything else! What a gift! Arselie has a methodology for everything. Managing guests lists? Structuring the day-of timeline? Working with venders? Having answers to absolutely every question I have? The woman has got it all on lock! Her time management of my venders saved my day. My hair and makeup people didn't want to work on me simultaneously and we were running out of time. . . and she got them to. My photographers weren't respecting my timeline and were hoarding my husband and I when we needed to be somewhere else, she pushed back. She got my mother dressed, made critical notes regarding lighting and angles to my very green photographer, made sure the busses arrived on time, loaded up my guests. . .hell, she dabbed the sweat off my face when I took dancing breaks! Moreover, Arselie LOVES what she does. She's so kind and fun. . . just a joy to work with. She has a gift for calming you down and is truly the most dependable person I've ever worked with. My wedding was the best day of my life, and I wouldn't be saying that if it weren't for Arselie!

Sonia did an amazing job helping me plan my wedding! She was very easy to work with and had many creative ideas to help make my wedding unique. I recently officiated a wedding that Sonia was the wedding planner and I have to say, I was very impressed with how she got things done and worked under pressure. The Wedding was flawless! Choosing Sonia and the Events Cherished team to work with was the best decision we could have made for our wedding. Sonia was attentive, truly listened and understood our vision (though we were vague at times), and was incredibly organized. She eliminated all the stress from our planning process. We had a blended wedding with Catholic & Hindu ceremonies over two days and a brunch on the third day. Sonia managed all of our contracts and paperwork for all of our vendors and made the process so simple and easy. The Events Cherished Team took care of every detail (including the ones I never would have thought of) and made me and my entire family feel so at ease so we could truly enjoy every element of the wedding without worrying about a single thing. I recently worked with Sonia and the Events Cherished team for my wedding on April 8th just outside of Washington, D.C. It was a fusion American-Indian wedding. I hired Events Cherished for Full Planning services so Sonia helped me with all my wedding events (Mehendi/Rehearsal Dinner, Ceremony, Reception, even the post-wedding brunch!) including finding a venue, caterer, cake, etc. and helped negotiate all the contracts. She and her team were simply amazing. They really allowed my husband and I to relax and enjoy the day, making sure everything went smoothly and on time. She is very responsive, easy to get a hold of, fun and personable, and my parents were impressed with her and her team also. She even has someone in-house that does the floral and decor at a great value and it was more beautiful then I imagined! Of course, the mixing of both cultural traditions for our American-Indian rustic outdoor wedding was awesome. I was so happy with everything and have already recommended her to friends and family!

I attended 2 events done by this planner. And they were absolutely beautiful! When someone does a good job, the word sure spreads - one event was local (2 years ago) and then the following year (last year) was out of state for a mutual friend who was also at the first event I attended. Blending of cultures is indeed a forte. These were both Indian wedding celebrations but I got her card and saw some of her other work - she does everything! The detail in making a couple's day not only special for them and their families but for each guest was amazing. At the weddings I attended there were more than 300 guests! How this team (small but very efficient) did this still baffles me. The day's events flowed smoothly; as a guest, I did not notice if anything was off-schedule. The brides and families seemed to have no other concern besides just enjoying the moment, and the best part was through it all, the executing team seemed like just an extension of the family. They were pleasant, helpful, even laughing and dancing when there was time. I'm already married but I am definitely considering this planner for any big future events!
