If you are looking for the BEST wedding planner out there, look no further. After meeting with a few wedding planners (and knowing that we may need a specific type of person to help us manage our big day), we decided on going with Kim— this ended up being the best value-add vendor of the whole lot by far. On top of her expertise and connections in the business, Kim brings a high level of kindness and intricate care combined with the structure and attention to detail that anyone would need in planning a wedding. She managed our process from scratch, helped us navigate design ideas, and steered us clear of any financial or operation-related pitfalls. On top of it all, she provides different packages for both the couples who already have a vision, and for those who wouldn’t know where to start. Kim was a huge reason why our day was flawless. She made building the entire wedding team easy, as she has preferred vendors that are all top notch. This is important, as it’s difficult to trust just anyone out there with such big plans. I could go on and on, and she deserves all the praise from my wife and me. But don’t just take my word for it; reach out to Kim and see for yourself!

Kim was absolutely amazing. She made our day perfect. From the start of the whole planning process to the day of, she was on it! I can’t imagine our day without her! Kim was so awesome to have as our month-of coordinator!!! She was so organized and on top of everything months leading up to and day-of!!! We recently hired Kim as the wedding planner for my daughter's wedding in Jan 2024. She was fantastic from the start to the finish. I work full time so Kim helped me manage planning a wedding and working. I have told many people when they ask about the wedding that my wedding planner was the best money I spent. She recommended the best vendors, reviewed their contracts and handled any questions we had. Most importantly, the weekend of the wedding... she handled everything. As the mother of the bride I was able to enjoy the wedding. Kim is amazing and does a fantastic job.

I’m so glad we had Kim as our planner. She was so sweet and easy to talk to. I have the worst anxiety in the world and with her I felt at ease like I’ve known her forever. Me and my husband are stationed in Colorado right now but had our wedding back home in SC. This of course would have made planning much more difficult from a distance but with Kim handling so much, it was a piece of cake. She really did have everything under control and was on point. Plus, she does have great experience. She’s done so many other beautiful weddings……With being far away and having to work soooo much, there were a couple of things I totally forgot about. Reached out to Kim and of course she had it all taken care of already. She provided us with so many tips and helpful advice. And our wedding day was just so amazing. I didn’t want it to end. If you are in the process of picking a wedding planner and are not sure who to pick, I promise you Kim is a great choice. I’m gonna miss talking to her.

Kim did an amazing job I was not even a little bit stressed on my wedding day thanks to her and her team! All I had to do that way was focus on getting married which is what a wedding should be like! I would 1000% recommend Kim!

When my wife and I were looking for a day of coordinator for our wedding, we expected to have someone show up on the day and take care of coordinating our vendors so we could enjoy the day. What Kim provided was so much more. She was so eager to meet us in person to make sure we were a good fit first, then proceeded to check in with us starting 4 months out from our wedding to make sure we were on track with the planning. During the last 6 weeks of planning, she worked with us on a detailed minute by minute timeline, joined us at our venue 2 hours away to do a walkthrough and planning session, and constantly reached out to our vendors to make sure every single person involved was on the same page. On the actual weekend of the wedding, she graciously walked all of our wedding party through rehearsal, accommodating slight changes we wanted in the moment. On the day of the wedding, there was a chance of thunderstorms and the venue wanted to move us to a less desirable location indoors. My wife and I wanted to risk it, and Kim fought for us to make that happen. The rain never came, and we had the exact wedding we wanted, and we could not have done that without Kim’s help. The wedding itself stuck to Kim’s timeline exactly, without ever feeling like anything was rushed. It went seamlessly, and everyone had a fantastic time, thanks to Kim and her assistant Dawn. Kim will work so closely with you that after it’s all over, you will feel like you are saying goodbye to a friend. We hired a lot of great vendors for our wedding, but Kim was definitely the best choice we made. Thank you, Kim! We miss you!

We can't thank Kim enough for the amazing job she did on our August 2023 wedding. We met with a number of planners prior to meeting Kim, but no one stood out. As soon as we met with Kim, we knew that we had found our person. From the very beginning, she made an immediate impact and settled our nerves as we were struggling with getting things organized. Kim is responsive, friendly, hard-working, and an absolute pleasure to work with. I can't imagine getting everything pulled together without Kim. When we booked Kim as our planner, she made a promise that she would help make our wedding day the best day of our lives and she was right. Our day was perfect.

Kim is without a doubt the best coordinator! She made the entire process of planning a wedding so smooth and seamless. She is beyond organized, responsive and knowledgeable. She kept me on track with planning and was the point of contact for all my vendors (huge weight off my shoulders). Kim was phenomenal in everything she did leading up to the wedding. She is such a sweet lady and was very easy to talk to about any concerns for wedding day. We had a few meetings (video chat and in person) and we kept contact through email throughout the planning process. If we had any questions we could call her and she would talk on the phone with us however long we needed. She never once appeared panicked or unprepared. Kim was calm and beyond prepared for whatever was to come our way on wedding day. The day went extremely smooth and everything went PERFECT thanks to Kim. Kim was our wedding planner for our daughter’s wedding. As this was our oldest daughter getting married, we were in some uncharted waters when it came to the planning. Kim jumped in with us and became a mediator, a lifeline, and a friend. She helped us navigate the do’s and do not’s as a true professional and kept us on schedule during the entire process. As the wedding date became closer, Kim took the reigns on so many of the big and small matters, so we could focus on the day itself. Kim was indispensable to me on the day of the rehearsal and on the wedding day. She took charge (in the best way) and I could take a breath because I knew she was handling so much of the behind the scenes details. I cannot say enough about how amazing Kim is as an event planner. From the moment I hired her for my only daughters dream wedding until we said our goodbyes after the reception, she was my go to person. Planning a wedding is stressful enough and I really wanted to be able to enjoy this experience with my daughter. Hiring Kim allowed me to do just that. She is extremely organized, professional, a calming soul, and very responsive to our needs. She also gave us some wonderful input and suggestions to make our day the best it could be. I cannot say enough positive things about Kim and the job she did for our daughters wedding. Her experience, approach and personality were just perfect for the occasion. When we first met she told us her job is to handle the day so we could enjoy it to the fullest. That is exactly what happened. Everything went off without a hitch and the evening was perfect!! Living in Atlanta it was very overwhelming trying to determine how to select a wedding planner for a destination wedding in Highlands, NC. Thankfully, we contacted Kim and from our initial calls we adopted a saying…”How does anyone get married without Kim?” From start to finish she was always available by email or zoom call and happy to help in any way she could. From start to finish Kim was amazing. Being that we lived in Atlanta, GA but we’re getting married in Charlotte, NC…I knew I needed a planner that I could trust with my vision. As the mother of the bride and the first wedding of my two daughters I was feeling a little overwhelmed and didn’t know where to begin. The wedding was here in Charlotte but the bride lives in Dallas. I knew it would be challenging but after meeting Kim it was the best decision hiring her as our planner. I knew the type of wedding my daughter wanted but we needed guidance from a pro like Kim to get the job done. She was always in communication with myself and my daughter via video chat. She kept us on track each month and provided us with outstanding vendors and worked with them seamlessly. Kim from Events of Inspiration is the best! She made the whole process of planning a wedding as seem less as possible. She was very organized and took note of everything we wanted/did not want. She created a wedding timeline for us so we knew exactly when and what time things were supposed to be at for the course of wedding weekend. Kim is full of wedding knowledge/all the do’s and dont’s. She also had great recommendations for vendors such as cake, hair makeup, and photography. On wedding day Kim went above and beyond setting up the space and informed me of any information I needed to know but I was pretty much at ease the whole time knowing she could get the job done. Kim was the planner for my son's wedding. She worked so hard, I got tired just watching her, but she was never other than upbeat, encouraging, and patient. The wedding was the most beautiful I have ever seen, and Kim suggested so many special touches, like the rows of guests with sparklers lighting their way to their limo. Both my son and his wife love Kim. I would recommend her to anyone who wants a beautiful, flawlessly executed wedding. She is, simply, the best.

Although I do not write reviews often and I have been delayed in writing this one, I believe it is important to share this review with others. Kim Shartzer, known also by her company Events of Inspiration, is a gift that needs to be shared. She will help make your wedding day a day to remember and treasure for always. I would say if you want less to no stress, she is one of the best. My husband and I wanted to be in the planning process of our wedding AND wanted a planner to make the process a great one. When we first met Kim, she proved that she was and is professional, friendly, and prepared. She gave us options and was clear with pricing and other details. We both agreed that Kim was the one for us. Communication is key and she will do her part above and beyond. We made sure we did what she requested in a timely manner and this was key. By working together during the planning process, the time before the wedding was filled with great memories too. Kim helped us stay on time and told us what we needed to do to stay on schedule. She helped us choose others in the industry that she knew would be fair and reliable. In fact, everyone that was a part of our wedding day worked well with each other. Kim made sure that each vendor as well as the wedding party was well informed and knew what to expect. We love Kim and are thankful that she made our wedding day a relaxed and enjoyable day that not only we treasure, but so do our family and friends. We are constantly getting great remarks about how our Christian wedding ceremony and reception was a joy to attend. It was important to us to share our faith in the ceremony and to have fun during the reception. From the beginning of our first meeting with Kim to the end of our wedding day, we are so pleased that Kim was involved and shared her time and expertise with us. She loves her work and this is clear. We not only found a planner for our wedding, but someone we will call a friend for life.

Words can’t even describe how amazing Kim was during our entire wedding process. We started working with Kim 8 weeks before our wedding (we needed assistance with logistics) and she came onboard and totally took control and made sure the entire process was complete perfection. Not only that, but she did more than what we asked of her. She truly went above and beyond. My husband and I didn’t have to worry about a thing. From the very first consolation until the end of the night on the big day, she was professional, kind, funny, and fully invested in making our wedding day perfect. When my husband and I got engaged, we were both living in different states and we were getting married in a state neither of us were living in currently so we knew off the bat we were going to need some help with the wedding planning. I wanted someone that I knew was going to keep me on track, let me know when things needed to get done and handle everything for the day of. I wanted the planning process to be as stress free and as fun as possible. I also wanted to day of our wedding to be focused on fun. I didn't want to be running around, handling anything crisis and communicating with vendors the day of the wedding. That was where Kim came in. A close family friend recommended Kim to us and I knew off the bat that she was our lady. We met with a Zoom call initially so we could better get to know each other and kind of go over my vision and what I was thinking, which wasn't much. Kim stepped in there as well and started sending me different ideas and suggestions, while leaving it totally up to me. She didn't pressure me in any way or try to steer me in any different direction. She gave me honest and up fronts opinions and shared her experiences with different things, but ultimately left it up to me. I appreciated her honesty, her initiative in all different aspects, including helping me make decisions and working with the vendors and keeping me on track with what I needed to do. Kim made the planning process as easy and simple as possible. Her timeline was absolutely amazing and so detailed, we knew exactly what was going to happen and when and also what we still needed to decide on. She communicated so well with me and my husband and kept us up to date on where we were at with the planning process at all times. I could not have asked for a smoother process. The day of went so seamlessly, my husband and I as well as our families were able to spend our wedding day and the days leading up to it, focused on each other and spending time together celebrating. She handled all communication with the bridal party and the families to make sure they knew where they were supposed to be and when. Hiring Kim was the best decision we made throughout the entire process.

Kim did a WONDERFUL job. She went above our expectations and took the stress out of planning a wedding. The groom and the bride were in different places in the country when it came time to plan and she made it happen. Best decision we made for this wedding! My daughter's wedding would not have been as wonderful as it was without her!

Kim Shartzer coordinated our wedding, and her work was amazing from start to finish! She knew exactly how to navigate the red tape at our chosen venue, and when the venue managers nearly derailed our decor scheme, she advocated for us in a highly professional and effective manner- and saved us from near disaster! I thought that I could handle all the preparations for my daughters wedding and when she talked to me about hiring a wedding planner, I really wasn’t sure we needed one. Mrs. Kim was a DREAM to work with. She not only took care of all of the details a wedding planner may do, but she was patient, encouraging and so supportive through everything. My wedding was planned to be in the midst of COVID and she was right there next to me helping me figure out what I needed to do. First I want to say the best money I have EVER spent was hiring Kim with Events of Inspiration to be our coordinator. She went above and beyond to make sure our day was PERFECT. From the first time we met Kim she was taking notes and making sure she understood our wishes. We thoroughly appreciate Kim Shartzers guidance through our wedding planning process. We hoped for someone who could recommend /vet vendors , help with decisions on the many details, and give us ideas for planning a beautiful evening. She gave us so much more! I hired Kim to be our "Day of Planner", however she was much more than that. She helped guide us through wedding planning craziness even before we hired her. She is affordable, professional, extremely organized, I did not want a planner at first, but am so grateful to have had Kim by my side through all of the months of planning during a pandemic and on top of it, dealing with a hurricane during our wedding weekend. I didn't have a worry in the world on my wedding day because Kim handled everything. From the dealing with and organizing the vendors, setting up deserts and to our perfect send off at the end of the night, Kim does it all! She thought of everything and went above and beyond for us. There is stock to the popular advice to brides that hiring a professional wedding planner is probably the greatest investment they’ll make in planning their wedding. While your newbie planner might throw a pretty wedding in the best of times, the true grade and caliber of a professional is evident from the results you get in planning a wedding under the most difficult of conditions. I was a “corona bride,” and hiring Kim as my planner was the greatest investment I made in planning my wedding. Not only that, I made a great friend. I conducted a thorough screening of wedding planners. Upon my initial meeting with Kim, I was immediately impressed by her warmth, enthusiasm, professionalism, and how extremely well-prepared and organized she was. All in all, a true Southern lady with class. By the end of the interview, I felt that I could trust her and that we had formed a true connection that could blossom into a beautiful partnership. This is what you want in a planner, because it’s not just flowers and favors; they must be problem-solvers, advisors, accountants, managers, and so much more. As our “venue” was my in-laws’ estate and our wedding in the midst of COVID, she essentially had to plan for a dozen different weddings – indoors, outdoors, tents, no tents, 25 guests, 100 guests – you name it. Furthermore, I was not an easy bride. I was out-of-state and extremely detail-oriented. This did not perturb her, however, and throughout this process she spent hours upon hours on Zoom calls with me, often late at night, yet had the most positive attitude imaginable. From all those hours, she deduced what I wanted, then pieced together what the reality would look like. She gave deep thought to each proposal, did her homework, and crafted several ways to achieve it. Using her experience, she anticipated each possible scenario, down to the smallest detail, then evaluated the pros and cons; if one idea had too many drawbacks, she would find alternative solutions with her problem-solving and innovative thinking. She promptly and effectively communicated them back to me, and always made certain I was truly satisfied and confident with the planned course of action. Then, with her passion and incredible work-ethic, she would deliver. Her vendor recommendations were top. She has clearly spent many years cultivating good relationships with quality vendors and knows the true pros, but was equally willing to work with new ones and venture into new territory. She has perfected “classic,” yet is always on top of what’s new, and incredibly tech-savvy. Most of all, I am grateful to Kim not just for getting the job done, but for going above and beyond. Most planners will have their tasks done by 9pm; Kim will have them done, and then put in an extra hour to make goody bags for the kids. Most planners will leave home extra early to be at the venue first thing in the morning the day of; Kim will book a hotel nearby the night before to make sure she’s there. She’ll mail a box of chocolates because she knows you love them, or surprise you with customized cookies the day before. She doesn’t normally sweat, but she’ll work one up to light a hundred candles for your special day. She does all this because she is genuinely passionate about what she does, and the couples she works with. If you are lucky enough to have her, I’m confident that no matter what the conditions, your wedding will be as my husband described ours; “heaven on earth.” Thank you Kim.

Absolute perfection! I honestly can not say enough about Kim Shartzer as my daughter’s wedding planner. After having interviewed several wedding planners, we were immediately impressed by Kim’s warm friendly personality, her kind demeanor, and of course her professionalism. She clearly understood my daughter’s vision for her destination wedding in Charolette, North Carolina; not an easy task, as she wanted to combine elements of our European culture, and Southern elegance. My attorney daughter is very detailed-oriented, and Kim graciously spent endless hours On Skype talking with her. She provided us with vendor recommendations for vendors and discounts codes for invitation and tuxedo rentals. The wedding was to be held at the estate of her in-laws, and Kim spent endless hours meeting with the caterers, the tent people, the florists, the vintage rental company, and the photographer. Everything was ready for the big day. There was not a detail that she had overlooked. Tents were to be strategically place to make sure the wedding party and guests were comfortable. Kim spent many hours going over the property grounds, and planning where it might be muddy should it rain. She even had umbrellas ready, if needed. Nothing was left to chance. Then in March, Covid came. We obviously postponed her May wedding. Needless to say, we were devastated. We had guests flying in from all corners of the globe, many from Greece, who had to cancel. There were so many unknowns to deal with. We did not know when, or if the wedding could happen. We clearly did not have an inkling of the severity of this disease, and assumed that the wedding could take place in July. Kim wisely told us that we had to plan for several scenarios. Therefore, she meticulously planned a wedding for a 100 guests, for 50 guests, and for 25 guests! This truly was not small feat, as she constantly had to communicate with all the vendors. From a legal aspect, she reviewed every contract with my daughter, to ensure that we were not liable for any extra costs that could encore. Until the last moment we did not know if there would be another lockdown and have to cancel the wedding entirely. We came to North Carolina a week early, and met with Kim several times before the rehearsal. She provided written schedules and even gift bags for the children in the wedding. A fantastic idea to keep them busy! The big day finally arrived, albeit, with a smaller wedding than we would have had if not for Covid. Kim arrived early in the morning, And worked relentlessly until the wee hours of the morning. Her ideas added those special touches that make the day more memorable. Guests were greeted at the front gate by a young man who took their temperatures, and provided everyone with a mask ( with the same logo that was on the invitations), and a decorated little bottle of hand sanitizer in a small organza bag.( guests loved this) Kim’s recommended vendors were fantastic. The hair stylist, make-up artists, florists, DJ,, photographer, and of course vendors were all five-star. I highly and wholeheartedly recommend Kim as a wedding planner. She is an expert planner, and is truly passionate about her work. Her passion permeates every detail and truly creates a bond with the bride. She is genuine, I witnessed the tear she shed at the rehearsal when she spoke about bonding with my daughter. The day was perfect. Thank you, Kim.

Kim is everything and more as a wedding planner! Our wedding was supposed to be on May 9 but due to various shutdowns from COVID-19 we decided at the last minute to have a small front-yard ceremony in March. We gave Kim about a week's notice and she was able to help us pull of an amazing "plan C" wedding. She adapted quickly with the new plans and gave us all the confidence that we could pull this off. Not only did she pick up our cake but she was still able to coordinate a lovely post-nuptial dinner with my husband! We were amazed with how calm, resourceful and professional she was on the big day and would definitely recommend Kim/Events of Inspiration to anyone!

Just amazing!! I cannot say enough to explain how great kim was. She did more than she had to. She made the kindest of gestures throughout the process. Kim is am exceptional wedding planner and I got the honor to work with her at a wedding that I was the wedding entertainer for. Her communications with the vendors is exceptional and her timelines are well thought out and detailed. On the day of the event, Kim provides the perfect level of support and really help set up all vendors to be successful and let them shine. Kim's gentle touch was always readily available if needed and she is the benchmark of what a wedding entertainer should be.
