Ever After Ceremonies

e joy to work with and achieves a level of familiarity with her clients that made half of our wedding guests think we had known her for years despite only having met her a handful of times during the preparations for the wedding! We had met with Kathy a few times for her to get to know us and learn the story of our relationship which she masterfully crafted into a ceremony that didn’t leave a dry eye in the house and made the groom cry so much he could barely read his own vows! On the day of the ceremony Kathy was professional, funny, charismatic, and expertly ran the ceremony exactly how we wanted. On a personal note we got along with her so well that we got her a meaningful gift that she was so appreciative of she even sent us a picture of it hanging on her wall in her home office. Working with Kathy was like working with an old friend and we recommend anyone who is looking for an officiant for their wedding book her as soon as you can! Thank you so very much for everything Kathy!

and unique to us. She took the time to listen to our story, asking thought provoking questions that brought my husband and I even closer together. We had several meetings and she spent an entire afternoon with us to understand what we valued, and thoughtfully incorporated those details into the ceremony in a way that felt deeply personal and genuine. On the day itself, Kathy exuded poise, grace, and a calm that set the perfect tone for our ceremony. Her presence was both comforting and uplifting, and her speaking voice—gentle yet strong—was nothing short of captivating. The way she orchestrated everything with such elegance and care was remarkable, and we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful and thoughtful ceremony. We are so thankful for her role in our day—she truly helped make it unforgettable.

y our ceremony and remarked that it felt as though we had known Kathy for years because of how perfectly she captured our story. Working with Kathy was a dream; she took the time to really understand us and our relationship, she was so organized and had so many great ideas to help us bring our ceremony to life in an authentic way to us. Not only is she incredibly talented, but she is also a genuinely wonderful person. We always looked forward to our conversations with her leading up to our big day. We cannot recommend her enough and will be singing her praises for years to come. Thank you, Kathy, for our dream ceremony!

or us. She truly captured our relationship and love. Every time we met with her, we felt so comfortable speaking to her. All our guests were blown away by the sentiment of our beautiful ceremony. Would 100% recommend!!

day because I knew everyone would be staring at us and she honestly helped me through it so much. When she officiating, she made it seem like it was just us with her and I couldn’t be happier. She was also the topic of conversation after the ceremony. EVERYONE raved about how she was the best out of all the weddings they have attended. She made the ceremony about your relationship and so personal which makes her that much more unique and special! I will recommend her to everyone over and over again!

s with. Her whole process was so detail oriented so she could truly get to know us as individuals and as couples. The script she wrote for our ceremony was loving, light hearted, funny, thoughtful, and so personalized. When she initially sent my the script to preview, I was so amazed with how well she captured our story, and the tone she wrote the whole script in was so fitting to our personalities. So many people at our wedding were telling us it was the best ceremony they had been to! Having Kathy with us on our wedding day made me feel comfortable and at ease. She is such a warm presence and I felt like I'd known her my whole life. Thank you to Kathy for making our ceremony as amazing as it was. I highly highly recommend Kathy as your officiant!

al, great at communicating, the way she does things really made the whole process stress-free for us. Working with her to plan the ceremony was one of the best parts of wedding planning. She made it so easy to share details about ourselves and our love story so she could turn it into a beautifully written ceremony… it was like talking to a friend we’ve known for years! She gave us a lot of good advice when we needed help, and on top of all the professional qualities, she’s just overall a very sweet and kind person. I can’t say enough good things about Kathy! We were so happy with how the ceremony turned out, it was perfect! Choose her as your wedding officiant, you’ll be so glad you did!!

She also does the best job of making the ceremony personal. All of our guests thought she was a family friend that knew us for years. Kathy has the best energy to her, too. Do yourself a favor and hire her for your special day!!

litated is the main thing our guests are STILL talking about almost six months later. There are so many things Kathy did that made her easy and ideal to work with. To start, our first meeting with her lasted almost an hour. Even before we committed to working with her, she took so much time to get to know us. Then, she had us fill out a lengthy form sharing our story and vision for our ceremony in writing. Then, she came to our house and met with us for THREE HOURS to ask us even more questions and get an even deeper understanding of who we are. Throughout the entire process, she was incredibly communicative via email, stuck with the exact timeline she outlined with us from the beginning, and just generally had so much positive energy about marriage that rubbed off on us! There were two sections of our ceremony script that were extremely important to us and that we wanted to write ourselves - one was a tribute to my mom who passed away just over a year before our wedding, and the other was a tribute to those who fought for marriage equality. Kathy was super accommodating in incorporating these sections into the script she was writing and using the language we provided her with. Aside from these two sections, Kathy wrote a ceremony that was completely customized to us, down to the story of how we met, our aspirations for the future, the phrases we used instead of simply saying “I do”, and how we wanted to be introduced at the very end before we kissed and walked down the aisle. Everything was so organized that we didn’t even do a rehearsal and it all went so smoothly. Lastly, it’s worth mentioning that our officiant was the vendor we spent the most time finding. As a queer couple, we weren’t vibing with sooooo many of the people we interviewed because they would either appear very uncomfortable, say something that made us uncomfortable, or just ask/say inappropriate things. Kathy made us feel seen and heard and is a true believer in marriage equality in a non-surface-level way. We would HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend Kathy as your officiant 🙂

nteresting ceremony we were looking for. Kathy wrote an amazing ceremony that captivated our guests and kept them engaged throughout each section, from readings, to cultural rituals, to our personally written vows. We were able to bounce ideas with her throughout our entire wedding planning period and adjust the ceremony until it was just right. Our guests have continued to compliment our ceremony as one of the most remarkable they have ever attended. We both grew up with religious backgrounds and wanted the ceremony to still seem special, and well thought-out, but at the same time that it was 'us' and reflected our personalities. Kathy knocked it out of the park and we can't thank her enough for being a part of our day.

ct one to capture and tell our love story during our wedding ceremony. She helped us to incorporate important aspects and people into our ceremony that made it much more special! Planning a wedding is already a stressful process but with having Kathy as our officiant it made the process go smoothly. Thank you so much Kathy!

et to know us before the wedding with a detailed questionnaire and meetings in order to tell our unique love story. Our guests loved each element of the ceremony, from the love story, to the vows, to the unity ceremony. The ceremony ran smoothly, and we couldn’t have asked for more. I never felt concerned throughout the planning process with Kathy in charge of the ceremony. She is the best!

officiant was from vendors and guests. She worked with us to gather personal details and then crafted a story that was just beautiful. I cannot recommend her enough!

ready knew her. Kathy is so engaging and she is so passionate about her work and invested in making your wedding ceremony personalized to reflect the couple on their big day. Kathy made us feel that we were in charge and she was there to reflect our love story and she made it magical. Our ceremony was everything we wanted and was the exact representation of us. Please book Kathy, she will connect with you and make sure your love story is shared the way you want!

She truly gets to know you and wants your ceremony to be authentic and special — nothing about what she does is “cookie cutter.” Our guests were blown away by how personal our ceremony was, to the point that they thought Kathy was a friend of ours. You will not regret trusting Kathy with your special day!

weekend. She is so caring and genuinely excited and interested in our lives, which makes standing with her on the wedding day that much more special (I just couldn’t stop tearing up during both ceremonies). We sat with her for hours to talk through our ceremonies and love story, and she sent us an amazing video of our love story to us on our 1st anniversary that was so cute! After our ceremony, so many of our guests were gushing about how amazing she was during the ceremony! Kathy is so organized with her planning of the ceremony (who’s walking when, who’s standing where, who’s sitting where, who says what, when does music play, etc) and that helps so much! Additionally, she had so many fun ideas and options for different things to add into the ceremony, this year we did a vow renewal for all of our guests and they absolutely loved it! I will definitely miss getting to chat with Kathy now that everything is over! ❤️

ur interview and by the end, we were talking like we were old friends catching up. She wrote the most beautiful ceremony we could have imagined. Every detail was so perfectly crafted to match our personalities and who we are as a couple. There wasn't a dry eye in the house. Family and friends expressed that it was the most special ceremony they have ever seen. Our parents were especially impressed and can't stop raving about her professionalism and warm delivery. We chose to write our own vows and purchased her hand-made vow books, which we highly recommend. Thank you, Kathy, for the most special day that we'll always remember.

re than we could have ever asked for! She made the process easy and fun! Guests who have been to 20 plus weddings said that this was the most memorable ceremony they had ever attended. She even went out of her way to research Bulgarian traditions we wanted to incorporate. Kathy was a memorable and amazing part of our special day.

we talked to, and after a few minutes of speaking with her, we knew she was “the one.” Not only could we immediately tell that she was passionate about what she does, but she felt like an old friend right off the bat. Kathy wrote us the most amazing ceremony that fit us and our personalities perfectly. Given that we are both not religious or extremely serious, the ceremony she wrote for us was sweet, simple, funny, and overall amazing. Our guests all raved about her and felt like she was a familiar friend they already knew. Leading up to our day, Kathy met with us in advance and conducted an interview of sorts to get to know us better. She recorded the video of the interview and will send it to us on our first wedding anniversary so that we can look back on it for years to come. After our interview, my husband commented that he wish he could talk to Kathy more often! This interview lead her to write such a personalized ceremony. Not only did she write our ceremony, but she contacted our vendors in advance, was prompt with all communication, and went above and beyond to make sure my grandmother was included in our ceremony by setting up a personal Zoom link for her. Words cannot express how grateful we are to Kathy!

hone call away and willing to calm my nerves when need be. Kathy came to our house to learn more about our love story- it was a natural conversation that she videotaped- we can't wait to see it on our one year anniversary! On the day of the wedding, Kathy did an amazing job. Multiple members of our families asked if we knew her personally. I would recommend Kathy to anyone!

get to know us. She did such a phenomenal job writing our ceremony - we cried when we first read it!! We received so many compliments on the ceremony that Kathy wrote for us. It was so personalized and so well done. Everyone including my husband and I were so impressed :) she is so kind and helpful and professional. We can’t thank her enough! I HIGHLY recommend selecting Kathy as your officiant!

sonal and touching ceremony for us. She really understood our relationship and that showed in the ceremony she wrote. She took our opinions into account, and added some wonderful surprises for our parents. Kathy is also a wonderful person. She is easy to get along with and makes people feel comfortable (including my husband, who doesn't like to talk very much). We are looking forward to seeing part of our interview with her in 11 months, on our first anniversary! We would definitely recommend Kathy Vass as an officiant!

elements of a traditional Catholic ceremony. What became most important to us though, was that the ceremony was personalized to us as a couple. Kathy did just that and more. We met her in our home (her suggestion so that we were most comfortable, an hour away from her own home, on a weekend) where she set up cameras to interview us about our relationship journey. Though honestly, I quickly forgot about the cameras, and it just felt like a natural conversation with her, and it went on for hours! It was fun to reminisce about things we had almost forgotten about over the years, and especially in the thick of wedding planning. I found myself loving my fiance more during those hours while hearing what he had to say. By the end, Kathy truly felt like a friend, and an advocate for our marriage. After she officiated our ceremony, we had several people come up to us to ask how we were related to or knew Kathy... it was that personalized. Even two months later, so many of our family and friends have told us how beautiful the ceremony was, and that is all thanks to Kathy and her dedication to getting to know each and every couple that she marries. Our ceremony was my favorite part of our wedding day (and I really thought the reception would win). Not many people can say that they love their career and that it is a perfect match for them, but Kathy was made for this. Her passion for helping to perfect a couple's biggest day of their lives is evident, and more importantly - it is truly genuine. We would recommend her to anyone. And we can't wait to see our video on our 1 year anniversary!

ble to get married by someone of the catholic faith off site. We were bummed but knew we couldn’t let this put a dent in our plans. We met Kathy at a wedding expo and were first intrigued by the time capsule video she offered. We had a video meeting to have an official “meet” and it felt like we knew her forever. She reassured us that the ceremony was about US and our union which really put my husband and I at ease. We scheduled our ceremony detail meeting to record our video and I think we exceeded our timeframe but within good reason lol Kathy spoke to us like a friend, not someone who was in the business to just marry people. She helped us open up a dialogue that I think we hadn’t tapped into in a while ~wedding planning is hectic and at times blurs the purpose of the day and what it really means~ She helped us remind each other why we are getting married and we needed that. In return, our meeting helped create one of the most beautiful ceremonies ever. We received so many compliments on how personal and emotionally beautiful it was and it felt like everyone there was in tune with our union. We highly recommend Kathy to everyone looking for an officiant bc I guarantee you will walk away with an abundance of love and more excitement about your special day after sitting with her :)

ed in your own unique special moment. This was not the case with Kathy. She is very easy to talk to and be open with. We were very comfortable sharing our story with her from the moment we met. In fact, we stayed with her for over 4 hours chatting and getting to know each other. Kathy is unique among officiates as she will record the sharing of your relationship story so she can put together a video for your 1 year anniversary! What a cool idea! Kathy is clearly in it for the celebration of love and partnership that a wedding should be. She was happy to make the wedding feel it was ‘ours’ and not completely based in traditions; she suggested some less common traditions/ wordings that highlighted the special moment but matched our personalities and relationship as well. We are so happy to know that our wedding was a reflection of us. It makes us both so happy to look back on that day, surrounded by our closest friends and family, and know that we were shepherded into our married life by such a wonderful and kind person. We recommend Kathy to all our friends and anyone who wants to have a wedding focused on a celebration of their love.

met and fell in love. She used the information to create a very personal, beautiful ceremony. Our guests commented on how genuine our vows were and that is was BEAUTIFUL day! My husband and I recommend Kathy. She will make your wedding day very special.

onal. However, Kathy made ours feel like it was truly our own, working with us, getting to know us and customizing our ceremony. We received so many compliments on our ceremony, and it was all thanks to Kathy!
