ade this experience especially upsetting, however, was that many of the issues involved details we had specifically discussed, approved, provided photo references for, and paid for.
Throughout the planning process, we often found Adelle’s communication style unnecessarily aggressive and difficult to navigate. At one point, we had to explain that my wife is autistic and ask that she communicate with her more gently. Despite this, when my wife raised concerns or asked questions, she was repeatedly given attitude and even told to “focus on what matters”. It made her incredibly uncomfortable from the jump in this entire processs. Despite hours of meetings and repeatedly discussing our vision, she appeared overwhelmed when it came time to execute it. Nearly every major piece of décor we had carefully planned was executed incorrectly. Items were placed in the wrong locations, our chairs and families were seated on the wrong sides, napkins were not laid out as agreed.
The weather was also slightly windy that day, yet there appeared to be no plan or preparation to secure the décor. There were no weights, sticky tack, or even markers available to properly place items on the grass. These are basic setup considerations that we expected a professional wedding planner to anticipate. We also had several issues with the décor rentals. Some items looked substantially different from the photographs shown on our invoices and used as references when we approved them. Décor we personally provided was returned broken, and rental items were left behind on the venue property.
Another major issue was the lack of coordination throughout the evening. The entire night ran behind schedule, and we did not feel that anyone was effectively managing the timeline or keeping things moving. Instead, we felt constantly rushed from one part of the evening to the next. We saw Adelle shortly after the ceremony and barely saw her again until she was leaving. For a service specifically intended to coordinate our wedding, that was extremely disappointing.
There was also an agreed-upon plan for our family members to take our décor home at the end of the night, but that did not happen. Instead, we were left dealing with it early the following morning, adding stress to an already difficult experience.
The most heartbreaking part was seeing my wife come home after her wedding unable to stop crying because she felt that her wedding had been ruined. This was supposed to be one of the most meaningful days of our lives. We trusted our planner to take the plans we had carefully made and help bring them to life. Instead, we were left feeling as though many of the details we had spent months discussing simply did not matter.
We are not expecting perfection from a wedding planner, and we understand that things can go wrong. What we did expect was communication, professionalism, attention to agreed-upon details, and someone who would advocate for our vision when problems arose. Unfortunately, we did not receive that.
If you are a couple who has a very specific vision and expects your planner to execute that vision accurately, we would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Our experience was that Adelle was much better at assuring us that she understood our vision than she was at actually bringing it to life.

Although authored by the groom, many complaints concern interactions directly between our team and the bride. After 11 years, this was one of the most difficult client experiences of my career.
Planning involved repeated changes to décor, placement and pricing. After receiving a three-page hardship communication, I scheduled a call to review décor and ways to save money. Two days before the wedding, essentially the same décor was reinstated.
The review references the bride’s autism. When communication needs were raised, I slowed discussions, provided additional explanations and structured information more clearly. I strongly disagree that those needs were ignored.
Regarding ceremony sides, we rehearsed positioning more than three times and I marked locations. The bride requested switching sides so the parents could better see their children. The next day, I was informed she changed the positioning again.
The marina ceremony experienced approximately 40 mph winds, documented on video. Our arch and linens were secured, and umbrellas could not safely remain open after one fell. I kept their glass-framed photographs indoors for safety; the bride insisted they go outside, and we complied.
The claim of being “rushed” requires context. Their venue agreement allowed approximately 30 minutes for the ceremony and one hour for cocktail hour in this private marina. The venue extended that another 10–15 minutes, then venue and upper club management instructed me to clear the area because another member event needed the space. I complied.
Details matter. The seating chart WAS placed to the right of the requested pillar. I moved it slightly for a potential trip hazard; when asked to move it back, we complied. The napkins were folded according to our documented instructions.
The reception became difficult to coordinate because the bride was absent for extended periods totaling approximately three hours, affecting photography, dinner, cake cutting and the timeline. She requested dinner in the bridal suite, then later decided to eat downstairs after her table was cleared. We reset it. I personally witnessed her then yell at the venue manager because her dinner was not warm.
Most troubling was the treatment of the professionals. Multiple vendors approached me with serious concerns about how they were being treated; more than one wanted to leave. They stayed because they did not want the wedding to suffer. Members of the bride’s family also apologized for interactions they witnessed.
After 11 years in hospitality, I was brought to tears more than once by the manner in which I was treated. I don’t share that for sympathy. I collected myself and continued doing my job.
Post-wedding communication was cordial. The next day, the bride shared my photograph of them beneath our rental arch, thanked me and asked me to send it to her. No dissatisfaction with our services was raised.
Before this review existed, other professionals had communicated concerns about their experiences. I retained contracts, emails, planning records, video and contemporaneous communications supporting our account.
Clients have every right to review a business, but accountability works both ways. When allegations omit documented circumstances, a small business has the right to provide context.
Were there moments when my tone became firmer? Yes. Safety, venue requirements and logistics sometimes require firm professional direction.
Despite difficult circumstances, we stayed, accommodated, adjusted and completed our services.
Weddings are emotional and deeply personal, and I respect anyone’s right to express their feelings. Wedding professionals are also deserving of kindness and respect.
I genuinely wish this couple well and choose to close this chapter with grace and gratitude for the many wonderful couples and families who trust us.

In the weeks and months leading up to our big day, Adell was organized, communicative, and always one step ahead. But where she truly earned her stripes was in the final 48 hours. We ran into some unexpected venue issues — the kind that could have sent a bride into a full spiral — and Adell handled every single one with grace, creativity, and a calm that was genuinely contagious. She didn't just problem-solve; she made us feel like everything was completely under control, even when the situation was anything but.
Day-of, she was everywhere she needed to be and invisible everywhere she didn't. Our wedding came together beautifully, and so much of that is because of the quiet, tireless work she was doing behind the scenes to make sure it did.

ords that I ate as soon as we hung up the phone after our first phone call with Adell. Hiring Everlasting Engagements was very possibly the best decision we made. It helped immensely to have someone on "our side" during discussions with our venue. Adell was incredibly helpful when it came to both design and planning. We rented our linens through Everlasting and found our florist via Adell's recommendations, and every one of our guests absolutely gushed about our flowers and decor -- even now a month after the wedding our family keeps telling us how beautiful everything was and how they'd never seen decorations as pretty as ours, and for that we can absolutely thank our planning team. Adell had our backs every step of the way and I genuinely can't say enough good things about her. Even if you're sure you can "do it yourself," trust me when I say Everlasting Engagements can take it to the next level. 5 stars honestly doesn't seem like enough!

Working with Adell was one of the best decisions my husband and I could have ever made. She made our wedding vision and dreams come true. We are so thankful for her hard work and thoroughness. She executed everything we wanted and even put her creativity into decorating our venue. When we met with her, it was clear that we had to work with her if we wanted the best job done on one of the most important days of our lives.
Our favorite thing about working with Adell is she is direct and to the point. She will tell you what she believes is the best outcome for YOU. (And she was always right!) Her relationships with other vendors were another thing that we absolutely loved about her. She took it upon herself to introduce herself to all vendors by reaching out and getting to know them before working with them. We felt this was important and helped us, and the wedding party relaxed immensely. We did not have to worry about what was happening and if things were getting done because we knew Adell, and her team were always on top of it.
Another thing that my husband and I loved was that Adell and her team showed up before anyone at all meetings, rehearsal dinner, and throughout our wedding weekend. Everlasting is so reliable, and it just wasn’t noticeable to us. (Thanks, Adell, and team!) They took it upon themselves to take charge and show up for us during one of the craziest weeks of anyone's life. And we are so thankful!
The team that she worked with was exceptional. They accompanied us when they did not have to to make sure we had all our questions answered. Working with a thorough, professional, and attentive team was lovely. The way the crew treated our friends and family was the same experience we had. The team showed excellent work ethic, and everyone looked happy to be there, which made us even more grateful.
We cannot express all the love, hard work, and support Adell has given us over the past several months. She truly cares about what she does and goes above and beyond with anything she does. Another favorite thing about Adell is that she ensured that everyone (over 350+ people) waited to enter our venue until my husband, and I did our room reveal (even after being 15 minutes late). We are so happy we chose to work with her, and if we had to do it again, we would go with her. She is fantastic, and you will be in the best hands possible if you work with her. Adell, thank you again for going above and beyond. You are simply amazing, and if we decide to renew our vows (down the road), we will call you.
There was a ton of back-and-forth conversation (because of how big our wedding was), but it wasn't an issue for her, which we genuinely appreciate. And the check-ins via phone were more than appreciated. We always made our conversations clear and satisfied because she made it a point to ask more than once if we had any questions/issues. The way she caters to the customer's needs shows in real life. (i.e., the photos we have from the photographer as we did our room reveal!)
We still receive compliments on how everything was done and set up at the venue. It was stunning.

s several months to a month away from our wedding were very insightful and helpful to really organize everything and go through details, etc. The Rehearsal went really well and the assistant was there to run through the entire wedding. The wedding day was perfect. I knew that I could sit and relax and enjoy my time with my bridal party and not have to worry about any of the details at the venue, or the vendors, etc. Everlasting Engagements took care of everything. They made all aspects of the wedding day feel stress-free. One of the best parts was that we really could enjoy the moment and time with our families and friends. The organization of everyone before the ceremony was perfect. The timeline after the ceremony, before the reception flowed together so nicely. Everything came together so well. The reception was perfect and they always made sure that we were happy. If we had any questions or concerns, they would make sure to take care of it so we could enjoy ourselves. The assistant came with us to take our sunset photos and made everything fun. She made sure we were safe and that we had help with everything. At the end of the reception, we didn’t have to lift a finger and everything was taken care of and put away so we could bring it home. The overall experience was absolutely 100% worth it. We were able to enjoy every moment of our wedding with no stress. It was perfect.

One piece of advice: be sure to clarify who will be working with you during your planning. I found out late in the process that Adell was not going to be working with me during the day and she wasn't in any of the meetings leading up to the wedding day, like she said she would be. She told me I would have 2 coordinators, but later found out that I would only have one. I was a bit stressed with the lack of clarity on the plan and professionalism leading up to the day. This was all frustrating for me, but it turned out great because Taylor is great.

l where she originally communicated that she would attend our rehearsal and less than 24 hours prior let us know Taylor would attend in her place. We were hesitant at first since Adell was the only person we were dealing with. However, we were put at ease once we met Taylor from her team. Taylor attended our rehearsal and was great at coordinating and listening to our needs. Honestly knowing that we had Adell and Taylor to fix any problems and to setup and make sure we are happy was well worth it. Both Adell and Taylor were present day of and made sure everything went seamlessly. We even had a guest rip their dress and Adell and Taylor saved the day. Don’t skip out on a day of coordinator is the biggest wedding advice we can give!

ess for my wedding than anything else. She consistently proved to be disorganized and repeatedly would ask me the same questions via text that we already discussed on previous dates. As just one example, I had to ask her twice for a final invoice and didn’t get one until 2 weeks later. When she finally decided to send one, she didn’t even know which decor/services I wanted from her only 9 days before my wedding. This bothered me, as it had all already been discussed with her. Several things like this occurred and it was clear to me that she doesn’t take notes of any conversations had. Per contract, Adell states she will start to discuss a detailed wedding day timeline ONE MONTH out from the wedding. Contract also states that a meeting or phone call will take place 2 weeks out to review and finalize ALL wedding details, including a day-of timeline, engaging with all vendors, and preparing a ceremony format sheet. None of this happened for me during that time. I asked her 2 weeks out to help me figure out a wedding day timeline. She kept saying she would do it but always said she was too busy with other weddings and would have to do it later. I had multiple vendors asking me what the wedding day plan was. We were now less than 1 week away from my wedding and I still didn’t have a timeline from Adell. My vendors were still blowing up my phone because Adell did not once contact them yet. When I brought this to her attention, she never apologized. She just talked about all of her back to back weddings and said her policy is to do these things the Monday or Tuesday prior to the wedding. This clearly contradicts her website and contract. Per contract, the only things that should needed the week of the wedding are rehearsal coordination and vendor FOLLOW up (not initial contact). She eventually provided me a timeline after I already had to figure out a timeline on my own with 3 of my vendors since they were reaching out 1-1.5 weeks out. The day of the wedding, she was very short with me and seemed to not want to be there. I had multiple guests and another vendor make comments about how rude she was. She never asked me or my bridal party if we needed anything while getting ready. The only time we saw her was when she had questions about our cake cutting plan and some decor I added, which she was confused about (there would have been no confusion about these things if she called me to discuss the wedding day even once). She was also absent during coordination of the family photos. At the end of the night, she was so unprofessional in the way she spoke to my friends and family. She even told my MOH that we needed to “start packing up our sh*t” from the bridal suite and insisted the venue would not let us come back the next day to bring anything home. We found out on Sunday morning that this was NOT true. I wish I spent our money on another coordinator who is genuine, organized, and follows their contract timeline without making excuses for themselves. Thankfully my other vendors still made our day wonderful. I just want people to know that this side of her does exist, and if you respectfully call her out on anything, you may not get the wonderful service you deserve. I can’t speak for her other employees, as I didn’t have any interaction with them. It was all just Adell

We reached out to all your vendors in a timely manner and had accurate information to achieve our requested services. You upgraded to an design and décor package three months after signing our contract for just day of, which has a separate set of timing, as we had you in our showrooms twice for designing and then heard from you a month before your wedding via text that you had an emergency repair in your home that was now going to take some of your wedding budget and that you would get back to us when you decide on the décor you were moving forward with. The week of your wedding we still had not heard what items you had decided on. Every venue we work with has a strict policy that all items brought in for an event must be removed the night of the event, we suggest reviewing your contract with your venue, as we were only following protocol.
On the day of your event as we checked in with you and heard Hi Adell I’m so glad you’re here with a big smile I might add we also heard from you that you were sorry that there may be a bunch of items in your totes and boxes that we didn’t discuss , In your words “I just went a little crazy this week buying wedding things and I don’t know where they might go just put them somewhere or we don’t have to use them at all”. If this is what you call us as being unorganized because we needed to ask you what these items were, just the opposite.
We find it very odd that on the day of your event, nor immediately after, we didn’t hear, nor was it brought to our attention any of these claimed issues, quite the contrary, as we applied your lipstick just before assisting you down the aisle, and telling you to take a deep breath, we heard nothing but (in your exact words) thankyou so much for everything today, and hugs and handshakes from Parents at the end of the evening.
We are saddened to find after you stalked our great reviews at 12:37am Sunday morning a week from your event, you chose to share these thoughts rather than reach out to us, as we would have been more than happy to assist in resolving, if we were aware of any issue at hand.
On another note we feel is very important to add as you put it ( just want people to know that side does exist) In witnessing such a spiritual ceremony as your pastor stated words you requested from him to share with your guests that “God is the only right and true path in your life”, We could only feel as Christians ourselves , If this is to be true and accurate as you shared so loudly, that you would have come forward sooner and our company would have made things right. May god bless you, and guide your marriage for the best things to come, take care Adell

One thing to note which is not a big deal - if you need a florist they work directly with flowers by amore in Bloomfield hills.
My wedding day went so smoothly with no major issues (and if there was she took care of it and I had no clue!) there was one small hiccup in our reception and she addressed and fixed it right away! It was incredible. Her assistant was also amazing and was so helpful throughout the day and made me feel so comfortable and special :) definitely recommend everlasting engagements

They kept our day on schedule, made sure we got in every item that was important to us that day, and handled all of the communication with the vendors to make sure everything was all set.
