Every Other Sunday

Every Other Sunday…..what can we say? Absolute BLAST had by all. Hired for acoustic instrumentals and mic/pa system support for the ceremony, playlist for cocktail hour, and 9 piece band for the reception, not once was there a hiccup. This team learned three songs for our ceremony and two for dancing above and beyond their standard playlist, including our first dance. And, the first dance was truly amazing. Mike’s MC skills navigating the toasts added comic relief and his improv skills are top notch. From the very first verse to the very last – the band had our guests moving! There wasn’t a single moment that the dance floor felt alone. And at the end of the night, no one was ready to stop. What really set these fantastic musicians apart – they invited the Father of the Bride to play the drums, which meant the world to our family.

If you want your wedding guests up and dancing having the best time, book Every Other Sunday! They were great to work with from start to finish. They were extremely responsive and such a pleasure to work with, this band exceeded all expectations. Every Other Sunday literally made our wedding, people were up dancing all night and everyone raved about the band. Do yourself a favor and book them for your wedding, they are worth every penny!

We loved having EO Sunday for our wedding! EO Sunday was the prefect fit. They provided beautiful ceremony music, an elegant cocktail hour and first dance, and also totally rocked the night away during the reception. Honestly I wish I had an album from everything they played at our wedding. Perhaps equally important EO Sunday was super accommodating, working with our location, wedding ideas, and timeline. They were always very prompt to respond to any questions we had (literally 100% same day if not same hour response rate!). I would highly recommend EO Sunday in the future.

We had Mike play guitar and sing for our ceremony and cocktail hour. He did a wonderful job and sounded amazing. He also learned specific songs that we asked for, for our ceremony. I would highly recommend Mike! We received so many compliments from our wedding guests!

Every Other Sunday was so great to work with! Mike always responded quickly and was so accommodating with our change of date and last minute addition of ceremony music. He worked directly with our venue to coordinate setup and timing so we didn't have to worry about a thing. And on the day of our event, they were amazing! They played such a great variety of music that kept everyone on the dancing all night. I think EVERYONE at our party was out on the dance floor - not an easy accomplishment! And a special thanks to letting our friend sing one song with you! Definitely made for a memorable and perfect night! :)

We had the time of our lives at our wedding on 8/8/20 at the Hitching Post in Dayton, ME & having Every Other Sunday provide such wonderful live music 🎶 was a huge part of what made the day so special & fun! 💕 The band was super responsive and easy to work with. Tori & Mike responded to all of our emails very quickly during the planning process and were totally willing to learn a good number of new songs to make our wedding feel even more personalized and special. We has so many guest compliment us on how good the band was & say they wished they lived in Maine so they could hire EO Sunday for their next event. (In fact my 14 year old nephew even said: I’d love to have that same band @ my wedding one day & have them do that Train song, it was dope 😂!) If you're like me and love dancing to live music (much more so then generic DJ music), do yourself a favor and hire Every Other Sunday, I promise you will not be disappointed!!!

Every Other Sunday was an amazing choice for our wedding! They had our guests dancing all night. Preparation for the big day was low key yet organized. I knew things were handled and didn’t worry about execution at all. I was so impressed, and received dozens of compliments on the band from our guests! You will not be disappointed!

We found every other Sunday by chance through searching on the knot and weren't sure what to expect. We could not be happier with what we got! They were so thoughtful about planning with us and willing to learn any songs we needed. Mike played during the ceremony which was a great touch and everyone remarked how much it added. The band sounded great, had people dancing, and even took requests. I cannot speak highly enough of our experience with every other Sunday, it made the day!

I did not have very many strong, pre-conceived notions about our wedding day…but as I told my fiancé early on – I really wanted a band to dance to on our special night. As we started to look into the prospect of live music, we were initially discouraged until we stumbled across a referral for Every Other Sunday. The band was absolutely amazing to work with and made our ceremony, first dances, and wedding dance floor things we will never forget! Having dealt with many vendors for our wedding weekend, Every Other Sunday stood out in their communication. They were prompt to respond to emails and always helpful! In addition to playing for our evening dance reception, they offered a variety of reasonably priced options to add live music to the rest of our day. We particularly enjoyed the addition of live music to our ceremony. I will always remember looking out over our family and friends gathered for the occasion as we listened to a live rendition with beautiful vocals of “Sunrise, Sunset” – the same song that was sung at my parents’ wedding 32 years ago, that the band member was willing to learn just for our ceremony! They were incredibly generous overall in learning new songs for the event at no extra cost, and even indulged us by adding in some extra special “First dances” – one for the groom and the bride’s grandma, and one for the parents of the groom. They were even willing to personalize these songs and blend together a few song choices to create the perfect mix. Not only that, but a band member also served as M.C. to help coordinate reception toasts and the end of the evening activities. Having live music with a dance floor in a barn was my perfect wedding and we are so grateful that Every Other Sunday helped make it a reality!

We recommend Every Other Sunday without hesitation. Tori and Mike performed as a duo during our ceremony and cocktail hour, learning specific songs for our ceremony. They sang so beautifully during our processional and recessional that there was not a dry eye in the house! Then the band grew to six members for our first dances, and the band learned two songs for those - perfectly executed. For the after dinner portion of our celebration, the band rocked out to variety of contemporary and classic dance tunes. They had the whole place jumping – literally, some of our guests were swinging from the beams…everyone had so much fun! Every Other Sunday is an extremely talented and versatile wedding band. Mike and Tori were easygoing and flexible yet very responsive to our email communications. They arrived super early the day of our wedding to get set up and everything they did was executed flawlessly. One a scale of one to 10, we give them a 10! This band is amazing - plain and simple. They learned a good handful of country songs for our wedding even though they are not a country band. Neil plays a mean fiddle!! Our wedding guests are still raving about this band a month and a half later. We are so glad they were there to make our day that much more perfect!!
