The Point did not disappoint!!! We had our rehearsal dinner and sip & see welcome party at The Point and cannot express how fantastic of an evening it was. The food, the service, the staff, the atmosphere were all incredible! I recommend having any event at The Point without reservation! Thank you!
December 2025, we had the most incredible experience with our wedding reception at Evie’s on the Bay, and we cannot say enough wonderful things about Julie Asher and her entire team. From the very beginning, Julie was outstanding — so easy to talk to, incredibly organized, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect.
She was flexible, accommodating, and made the entire planning process feel effortless. Any stress we had going into the reception completely disappeared because we knew we were in good hands.
On the day of, they truly made it so we did not have to worry about a single thing. All we had to do was show up and enjoy ourselves. They handled the decorating beautifully and made everything look amazing. Julie and her team constantly checked in on us throughout the night to make sure we had food, drinks, and even a quiet place to step away for a few minutes when we needed it. In addition, the food was exceptional, and our guests are still talking about the bangin’ shrimp!
As a bride and groom, that level of care meant everything. We felt completely taken care of from start to finish. We are so grateful for Julie and her team for making our reception stress-free, seamless, and unforgettable. I would highly recommend this place!

Event Coordinator
Julie Asher is the Event Coordinator at Evie’s on the Bay, with over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry and a strong focus on event planning over the past six years. A Sarasota native, Julie has a deep connection with the local community and brings both professionalism and creativity to every event she oversees.
Before joining Evie’s in 2025, Julie spent five years as the Bar Manager and Event Coordinator at a popular local live music venue and Chiki hut-style bar and restaurant. During that time, she successfully planned and executed a wide range of events — from weddings and anniversaries to private celebrations and corporate gatherings — each tailored to reflect her clients' unique visions.
Julie’s hands-on experience, attention to detail, and passion for hospitality make her an invaluable part of the Evie’s team, ensuring every event is both seamless and unforgettable.
