EVOLUTION ENTERTAINMENT

r ceremony, he canceled on us — leaving us scrambling to find a last-minute replacement. He claimed there was an emergency but has since ignored multiple messages and has not refunded any of our money. It’s become clear that this is a pattern of dishonest behavior, and we are now pursuing legal action to recover our payment. Please be extremely cautious before booking with this person or company. What should have been one of the happiest days of our lives turned into unnecessary stress because of their complete lack of professionalism and integrity.

eCosta a..k.a DJ Tommy Dee,@deejtommydee also from Evolution Entertainment from Somerset, Massachusetts. My sister's wedding was on September 20th, 2025 in New Hampshire. Her husband, a professional saxophonist, hired Tommy Dee based on a referral from a trusted colleague and paid him $700 upfront. What happened: • Approximately 3 hours before the wedding, Tommy texted claiming he was in a car accident on the highway, totaled his Jeep and equipment, and was heading to the hospital • He completely stopped responding to calls and texts asking about his wellbeing • My sisters husband had to scramble last-minute to find a replacement DJ and paid a large amount to salvage the music for the wedding • Tommy would not return any communication for over a week • He has still not refunded the $700 The scam revealed: After my sisters husband posted on Instagram asking if anyone had heard from Tommy, another couple came forward. They had hired him for their wedding on September 27th, and he sent them the EXACT SAME MESSAGE about a car accident just 2 hours before their wedding. They had already paid him in full. We have since discovered that Tommy was active on social media posting about releasing new music the day after my sister's wedding - clearly he was never in any accident. Both couples have filed police reports with the Somerset Police Department. Bottom line: This is not a case of an unfortunate situation - this is a deliberate scam targeting couples during one of the most important days of their lives. Tommy DeCosta preys on people when they're most vulnerable and have no time to recover. He steals deposits and leaves couples scrambling hours before their weddings.

ks after my wedding and not only has Tommy not provided the wedding playlist, but he has gone totally radio silent. He is not responding to my text messages, e-mails, or phone calls. He just took my money and now no longer feels the need to complete his end of our contractual agreement. He is currently in Material Breach of our written contract. And I now have the unfortunate task of having to file a lawsuit against my Wedding DJ for Breach of Contract for what appears to be no legitimate reason whatsoever other than the fact that he just don’t feel the need to complete his end of the bargain (but had no problem accepting the full amount of money in traceable Venmo payments leading up to the event). If I could do it all over again, I would not have hired Tommy. Having a digital music copy of the wedding playlist was actually the main reason I sought out to hire Tommy. It was the predominant topic of conversation in my very first correspondence to Tommy, as well as throughout the entire wedding planning process. Accordingly, after all the planning that went into it, to now not have that playlist is extremely upsetting to both me and my wife. Moreover, Tommy had a number of issues with respect to his professionalism that I was willing to overlook at the time. But, his recent behavior has now made it impossible for me to continue doing so. So I’d like to detail those professionalism issues below in hopes of warning other couples about Tommy and to advise them to take caution in hiring someone in a role with so much power over your special day: (1) In the almost two years I corresponded with Tommy leading up to our wedding he blew off the vast majority of our planned phone meetings. As I sit here and review all of our documented e-mails, phone calls, and text messages, I’m actually blown away by how many times Tommy would schedule a phone meeting with me and then just completely blow it off. Blowing off scheduled phone meetings as if it were “cool” to do that over and over and over again adds an unnecessary layer of stress in the weeks leading up to your wedding. (2) He also drank heavily at our wedding. I know this because he asked me - the groom - to go up to the bar for him on multiple occasions because he needed to be “loosened up” in order to do his job effectively. Trust me when I say this: it certainly doesn’t feel like a choice when your Wedding DJ asks you to go to the bar for him right before he’s about to start mixing for the dance section of the night. Planning a wedding is stressful enough (especially during a pandemic). And Tommy’s unprofessional behavior both leading up to and during the event made it unnecessarily more stressful. And if that were not already bad enough, the fact that he has now decided not to complete our contract that is very clearly in writing after being paid in full is unbelievable to me. I now have to spend my time and money filing a lawsuit against my own Wedding DJ for not completing our agreement for reasons unknown to me because he is now unreachable. So I’m writing this review to warn other couples about DJ Tommy Dee and his business: Evolution Entertainment. I was going to gift that playlist to my wife on our anniversary, but Tommy has made that an impossibility now.

t - I kept getting so many compliments on them, they were awesome!! Highly recommend!
