Ewa Beach Floral & Gifts

I live 4,785 miles away from Honolulu, so for me to choose a florist without a consultation was a daunting task. Living so far away, Carmen and I first communicated via email, then over the phone. I felt an immediate connection! She was very helpful, friendly and accommodating to my situation. Some of the other vendors that I spoke with would not work within my short timeline, so it was an easy decision to work with Ewa Florist and Gifts. Carmen used photos that I sent her to create the perfect bridal bouquet within my budget. It was made from light green Cymbidium orchids and cream roses. I gave her free range to add some fuchsia accents and other green features, and it was absolutely beautiful. She also created some lovely leis for our parents to wear during the wedding ceremony. She was able to use ribbon from my bridal shower that I mailed her to create my bouquet, which really meant a lot to me to be able to include in my ceremony. She provided large white orchids for my hair, and even included an extras! To top it off, she delivered to the condo rental where we were staying, keeping me out of the hectic O'ahu traffic on my wedding day. In planning a destination wedding, often you do not have the good fortune to be able to meet vendors and see their products until you arrive for your wedding. I was having a very tough time finding a florist in Hawaii (Oahu) that would do some ceremony flowers for me within my budget. I did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen, so that immediately eliminated the need for a number of bouquets and lapel flowers. Really all I wanted was a few small ceremony decorations, a bridal bouquet, and 2 leis. I contacted at least 10 Honolulu florists and NONE of them would do a job that small (without charging a $1500 minimum). I came across Ewa Beach Floral on the Yellow Pages website and noticed that it was closer to my wedding venue (Paradise Cove)than the other florists, which was a good start (less worry about delivery fees). So I called the shop and Carmen answered. I explained to her what I was looking for, my budget, and it all moved very quickly from there. Not only did she offer me a very reasonable price, but she made me feel confident that she would design my flowers per my description (again, without me ever seeing them). So on the big day, when she arrived at my wedding venue with the most gorgeous bouguet I've ever seen, I new I made the right choice. Then when I saw the ceremony decorations, I couldn't believe how beautiful they were. For a small fee, she decorating the bamboo arbor that I rented from the site with fabric I brought from Chicago, and of course the flowers she arranged. Many of my guests were in awe, as they told me they've never seen a more perfect wedding. I wish I could attach pictures so you could see how amazing these floral arrangements were. This hidden gem of a florist honestly contributed to one of the most memorable parts of my wedding. I REALLY want to help drive business for her any way that I can. So if you're getting married at Paradise Cove on Oahu, Carmen should be the first call that you make.
