TJ was fantastic to work with! He helped everything flow smoothly at our reception, and the amount of people that have made a point to let my husband & I know how much they enjoyed him and his work is, in reality, everyone I have talked to! Our dance floor was never empty, and the music he played was enjoyed by everyone in attendance - from the bridal party to grandparents to family friends. He knew what we were trying to envision, and he made it come to life. We cannot say enough good things about TJ!!!

We can't recommend Excel Entertainment enough! Our guests were out on the dance floor until the very end with the perfect mixture of music for older and younger generations. The photo booth was a bit hit with our guests and we were so excited to get a copy of all photos at the end of the night. Excel Entertainment was flexible, easy to work with, and made sure our big day went perfectly!

We can't say enough good things about TJ the DJ!! Our wedding was amazing, and TJ went above and beyond throughout the planning process and on our wedding day. My husband is a former musician and I am a wedding planner myself, we had some very specific ideas about our day and also some fun surprises in mind and TJ helped us immensely. I knew from the first phone call with TJ, he has a great positive energy, you can hear it in his voice. He's a great MC, has a great feel for the crowd and kept the dancefloor hopping all night! He also did some uplighting for us at the venue and we opted for the photobooth too. But what sets him apart from the others is his attention to detail. He came up to us several times in the night asking if we needed anything, he made a special photo album for us with all the copies from the photobooth. And he also makes a video DVD of the entire wedding from the ceremony to the last dance. It would not replace a professional videographer, but for us, it's such a sweet bonus to be able to see us saying our vows to each other, watching our special dances and seeing all of our guests have a blast. Thank you TJ, for giving us memories to last a lifetime!!

I’ve been to weddings with Tj as the DJ so I knew that I wanted him for ours. Not only did he have everyone on dance floor all night, with a great selection and nice flow of music. But he kept us on track and organized throughout the day, from the ceremony all the way to the end of the night, everyone raved about him. A bonus he films the whole thing for you. So you get raw footage to look back at! We also had the Photo Booth through him and that ran smoothly and was so much fun! I recommend him 100%

TJ did a fantastic job at our wedding. We used his services for our ceremony, reception and Photo Booth. Prior to our day, he helped us create a timeline for the ceremony and reception. From the second we arrived at our venue that day, he greeted us to make sure mics, songs, and entrance order was lined up for the ceremony. Everything transitioned so smoothly from the ceremony, to grand entrance, to cake cutting, etc. During the dinner, he even made sure everyone in our bridal party had drinks so we didn’t have to go up to the bar. He checked in with us throughout the reception, ensuring everything was exactly how we wanted it. He didn’t miss a beat the whole night. The guests loved the Photo Booth. We received an album with copies of all the photo booth pictures to look back on. At the end of the night, he had a DVD ready to send home with us of the videos he recorded during the ceremony and reception. We got to re-watch our ceremony the very next day. He truly goes above and beyond, and we would highly recommend TJ!!

We have never seen a vendor go above and beyond as much as DJ TJ! He took care of us in more ways than providing music that kept the dance floor packed all night. He filmed special moments from the entire night, made all announcements we needed, provided fantastic uplighting for the venue, and actually helped grab drinks for our wedding party during dinner! We could not endorse Excel DJ Entertainment more. If he is an option to DJ for your wedding, you will not be disappointed!!

TJ was truly an amazing DJ! He was always checking on us making sure we had everything we needed, and would get us anything we asked for. He was super great to work with, and made our day extra special! He listened to our requests of must play songs, but also played a variety of songs to help keep the dance floor packed all night long! Our guests loved the music and we couldn’t recommend TJ enough!

Cannot say enough good things about TJ! Always making sure everyone was having a good time. We worked our wedding around his schedule because we knew he was a must! Always plays to the crowd so everyone can get moving!!

TJ is absolutely amazing to work with!! He was friendly and listened to everything we wanted. We also booked the photo booth which was a huge hit with all of our guests! He played beautiful music during our cocktail hour and dinner service and got the party started afterwards! I cannot recommend Excel enough! I would 1000% work with them all over again. Thank you for everything!!!

I met TJ the DJ at a bridal show late 2018 which was 2 years before my actual wedding day on 10/10/2020. He presented the information about his business and I was instantly hooked on him! His personality is great and he sells that he is there for anything you need on your wedding day, which he absolutely was. Literally anything I needed; TJ was right there with it. TJ is an absolute awesome DJ. He was my first vendor booked and I would book him again for any of my events in a heartbeat. We did the DJ service as well as the photobooth that is run by his son. His son was very professional and willing to help out those that may not know how to run a photo booth – we had a lot of older guests. With the photobooth your guests get to keep a copy and a copy is placed into a book for you to get at the end of the night. TJ also gives you a DVD of footage from the night as well. He knows how to get the party out onto the floor and keep it there. He will do whatever you ask, even if he doesn’t fully agree with it (like play the dirty version of WAP song at 8pm with grandparents still there). LOL. Please if you have an event coming up, reach out to TJ the DJ. You WILL NOT be disappointed.

He was so lovely to work with. Very upbeat and attentive. He did music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and reception. He let us personalize everything, he kept saying “it’s your day, tell me what you want.” Couldn’t have asked for a better DJ.

TJ was wonderful to work with! He is professional, polite, and fun. He did the music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception and kept the evening moving. He also did the sound and had microphones for our singers and officiant. He had great ideas for keeping everyone out on the dance floor and his music choices were great. He also gives you a dvd of the wedding at no extra charge at the end of the night. I would highly recommend booking Excel Entertainment, TJ is fantastic!

We have been happy working with TJ ever since we first talked to him and throughout the whole planning process. At our wedding, we had tons of compliments that were well deserved! The dance floor was hoppin' all night! He worked in our style while keeping the crowd happy too, which is just what we wanted. TJ is very professional, as is his set-up. The speakers, lighting and everything looked classy! I would recommend him to anyone. Thanks TJ!!!

TJ was excellent! The dance floor was packed all night! He takes guest requests too which some DJs don't do. The highlight DVD he gives at the end of the night is an awesome plus! I highly recommend TJ!

TJ the DJ got everyone on the dance floor! We received so many compliments on how fun our reception was and how everyone was out on the dance floor! He went the extra mile by giving us a cd of the night- which was great to see some of the highlights of reception/ and ceremony.

TJ is amazing. I have nothing but positive comments and praise for his services. He traveled a little over an hour to my reception location and his price was still competitive with DJ's in the area. He is really polite and professional with all of his planning correspondence and so nice in person. The most amazing gift TJ gave me after the wedding was a DVD he created of the night, most importantly including the introductions of the bridal party and the speeches. I was so grateful to have these captured on film because as a bride the whole night goes by in a blur! I wasn't expecting it and it was worth the price of the whole thing! I would highly recommend TJ and Excel Entertainment to anyone in Eastern Iowa!

TJ was GREAT, music was perfect, up light was elegant, DJ dvd was an great gift that TJ offers. There is not one unhappy moment with TJ's service. He kept guests dancing, even Matt and myself were on the dance floor, and Matt does not DANCE. He offered a lot of ideas that we have never seen at a wedding before. Thank you TJ for a fabulous evening, it will be a day we will remember for the rest of our lives. THANK YOU

TJ at Excel Entertainment was the best, could not of asked for a better DJ service.TJ was very professional, polite, and accommodating, he was there plenty early before guest started to arrive and music was playing I thought that was great. TJ played all of our request and kept people on the dance floor all night, we got so many compliments. I would RECCOMMEND Excel to any bride and groom who are looking for professional, and outstanding DJ service!!!!!!!. TJ the DJ is AWESOME

TJ kept the dance floor full the whole night. We had an outside wedding which was no problem for him. He set everything up and speakers were placed around the tent so that everyone could hear the speeches and music. We had met once before the wedding to go over how the flow of the night would be. He listened to everything I had to say and honored my suggestions. He started out the night with classic music that everyone enjoyed and played some of the popular songs at the moment later in the night. I never had to worry about anything. TJ would find me in the crowd and come talk to me when he had a question or something was coming up soon (i.e. bouquet toss, wedding party intro, etc). It was nice not to be paged up to the DJ booth as some of my friends have had to do at their weddings. TJ was very personable and easy to talk to. I highly recommend Excel Entertainment!

TJ was GREAT, he was very professional to work with. He assured us there would no worries at our reception, that he would make sure that everybody would be on the same page and he was right, we arrived to the reception and it was FLAWLESS!!. Everything went smooth and flowed perfectly. The Biggest part for us was to make sure worry free and TJ did just that, plus the DANCE floor was full start to finish, We are still getting compliments. The DVD was a big PLUS. And a added BONUS he was very energetic and danced with the crowd. If I could give more that a 5 STAR I would. And not to mention he did our ceremony music which was PERFECT, at a reasonable price, he arrived and rehearsed it plenty early to make sure there would be no mistakes. I would recommend EXCEL ENTERTAINMENT to ANYONE. For sure the BEST!!!!. WE still have guests giving us compliments.

Tj did an outstanding job at our wedding! He is a great entertainer, always keeping the dance floor lively and upbeat. From the dvd of the dance floor to the ymca props we were very happy with the service he provided for an affordable price!
