My wife and I got married in October and Joe absolutely CRUSHED it! Our dance floor was full the entire night. He played banger after banger and our guests were loving it. Joe was so organized and made the process of picking music for our day so easy!! He also helped facilitate the whole day and made it flow so smoothly. We used Exceptional Entertainment for our wedding and highly recommend! Joe made everything seamless the entire day including the ceremony, cocktail hour/dinner & speeches, and the dance floor. Joe was super easy to work with throughout the planning process and day of. He communicated with our other vendors as well, which helped make sure everyone was on the same page. He even helped find a solution to move our dance floor to a different part of our venue to make the overall flow of the venue work better! We also were very impressed with the photo booth and lighting that Joe and team did for us!

Joe absolutely KILLED it! It was the best dance floor we’ve ever been a part of and we got SO many comments on how packed the dance floor was all night. We gave Joe a run for his money with our always last minute “homework”/music uploads, but he found a way to read our minds anyway and keep us dancing nonstop. The program he uses to talk with clients and where we upload our music choices was so easy to use and kept everything organized. Joe was always so professional and enthusiastic, every meeting he had a smile on his face - even when we were perhaps the opposite being sleep-deprived and stressed (haha). As if all these good things weren’t enough, we really knew we picked the right DJ when our venue staff told us the evening of the wedding “the WiFi is down. Honestly, I don’t know how the DJ is even playing music.” Meanwhile Joe is behind his booth absolutely rocking it! His sleek, modern equipment also looked GREAT in our more modern venue (LedgeCrest Reserve). An unexpected improvement compared to the usual black, boxy looking DJ set up. We have ZERO criticisms for Exceptional Entertainment. They played such a big part in what was quite literally the best day (and best party) of our lives. THANK YOU JOE!!

Jo Joe at Exceptional Entertainment was the best decision we made for our wedding. We heard about Joe because he was the dj at our friends wedding. He pretty much helped us plan our wedding by making and going through a timeline with us and making sure the day of was on schedule. Joe also spent a few hour long video calls with us to make sure no stone was left unturned. Our dance floor was packed the entire night and Joe was vibing and smiling from start to finish. We had so many people say he was the best dj they have seen at a wedding. Book him!

Joe and his team were able to keep the party alive with his skill, flexibility and energy. Not only was he able to pick up on the type of music the group wanted to dance to but he also worked with my dad who surprised us with a cello performance.

From the beginning process of wedding planning, through our ceremony, to the best part (THE PARTY) Joe absolutely nailed it. If you’re looking for a DJ that does so much more than play music, look no further. After our first couple meetings with Joe we felt much more at ease, there’s so much to think about when you’re planning a wedding and he kept us right on track every step of the way. This is your DJ. Without a doubt one of the best decisions my husband and I made when planning our wedding was hiring Exceptional Entertainment. We worked with Joe, and he was very communicative. He was the vendor we met with the most, and even though that may sound excessive for a DJ, it really isn't. The DJ is the life of the party for a wedding, so it's 100% worth it to invest the time & money into it if you and your guests want to have a great night. Joe did a phenomenal job with the transitions and kept people out on the dance floor. We also had their Photo Booth services and it was a hit with the guests. The picture quality was great and guests could get a copy sent to their phones immediately after. Another cool add-on they offer are their cold spark machines. If you're looking for an alternative to the sparkler exit, these have the same affect in wedding photos but less of the chaos of having to organize and manage all of your guests with sparklers. They were beautiful and definitely added a "wow factor" to the night. Overall, it truly was the best night of my life and I have Joe to thank for playing such a vital part to that. (P.S. if this wasn't enough to help convince you, three of my wedding guests actually booked with Exceptional Entertainment soon after for their own weddings because of how much fun they had!)

Exceptional Entertainment definitely lives up to their name! Booking Joe as our wedding DJ was one of the best decisions we made. Prior to the wedding he was so professional every step of the way so I never felt nervous or worried that it wouldn't go well. On the day of the wedding we were so impressed at how he remained connected with our wedding coordinator making sure every part of the wedding went smoothly. He also provided the best music and really listened to my request. Not to mention his DJ set up is super classy and sophisticated, would go well with any aesthetic. He provided great enthusiasm to help the crowd get motivated as well. I would definitely recommend Joe and Exceptional Entertainment to any and every bride out there!

If you only skim this review, all you need to know is that Joe was phenomenal. As we interviewed DJs for our wedding, Joe stood out from our very first sit down with him. The music and venue are two of the most important components of your wedding from a guest entertainment perspective. That being said, Joe and his team at Exceptional Entertainment made sure to link up with every single one of our vendors (photographer, videographer, venue, day of coordinator) to ensure seamless transitions throughout the day. We had an outdoor ceremony and he was able to provide music and microphones for our ceremony, music for the cocktail hour (indoor/outdoor), and the reception MC and music (indoor). We were very particular about our music selection and he didn't miss a beat. If you select Joe, you can expect to have many touchpoints throughout the lead-up to your wedding day to ensure everything goes as you planned. You can do as much or as little customization to your desired music as you would like. Joe is kind and personable and we highly recommend him and his team!

Joe and the Exceptional Entertainment team was incredibly detail-oriented and thoughtful throughout our entire planning process. He spent ample amount of time meeting with us live, and the online platform that he has allows for simple communication and exchange of planning preferences. He was always readily available to answer any questions that we had (which was a lot) and he even helped to make sure that we maintained a timeline of the tasks that we had so that everything was accounted for when our wedding finally arrived. He even went above and beyond in his planning to accommodate our venue that had no WiFi service. Joe was absolutely incredible at our wedding. Something we were worried about when planning our wedding was people not dancing/not "having fun". That concern was gone the second that our dance floor opened. Joe had people on the dance floor basically the whole night. Myself, my husband, and all of our guests had so much fun! Joe had such a great sense of the dance floor and was able to play music that fit well with what our guests were enjoying. He was well-organized, knowledgeable, and personable. Wow, if I could give 10 stars I would. Joe was incredible and made our wedding beyond special. Throughout the process, he was organized and went ABOVE AND BEYOND. From the music, to the lighting, the MC, cocktail hour, audio guest book, and photo booth it was all incredible. We even had the added caveat of not having Wifi availabe at our venue, but Joe was so prepared that he had all of our music (and much more) available ahead of time. If I could get married again, I would pick this company.

Joe and his co-worker Tate were AMAZING at our wedding!! Not only did Joe do a ton of leg work before the wedding to make sure that everything went to plan but he also went above and beyond what our expectations were. When I asked him if he could send me the audio from our speeches, vows and anything else he thought was meaningful or important he said ABSOLUTELY!! He even went as far as taking videos during our wedding on his GoPro and sent them to us in a video he edited!! I couldn't encourage you to book this business any faster! He's affordable and does AMAZING work!! I had so many guests come up to us during our wedding saying how good the DJ specifically was! We had such an amazing time celebrating our wedding and Joe and Tate did a great job at facilitating that!!

Joe did an absolutely amazing job at turning our wedding into a party! Every age group had songs that they went absolutely wild for and it’s all because Joe did an incredible job at keeping a pulse on the crowd at all times. Multiple people told us it was the most fun dance floor they’ve ever been on for a wedding. On top of that, he was very helpful with us planning the ceremony, a great announcer for our grand March, and overall was responsive and willing to work with any requests we had. Absolute 10/10 experience and would recommend!

Joe with Exceptional Entertainment is hands down the most organized and fun DJ you could choose. He truly had the dance floor full all night long, was sure to check in with me or my husband before doing specific dances and helped all the speeches go off without a hitch! Joe knows how to throw a party! Our wedding was unforgettable and exactly what we wanted and huge part of that is thanks to Joe. We wanted to throw a dance party for our wedding so we needed a DJ who could play the hits and keep people on the dance floor all night long. We also wanted to ensure that our musical tastes were reflected in the music selected. We wanted this gay wedding to have a gay dance party! That’s exactly what Joe did for us. During the planning process Joe was very hands on and collaborative. He helped us plan the evening and identify different moments we wanted to have. There were a few songs that we wanted to play and he ensured that he had them all for the night. He even made custom edits to a few songs for us like for our entrances or dances. The night of he was extremely attentive and got the party started immediately once the dance floor opened. People were dancing the whole night long. One moment that stood out was when he played a Portuguese song “Bate of Pé” which got everyone doing this Portuguese line dance. That was of course a requested song by us for the night, but then he transitioned out of it seamlessly into “Dança Kuduro” which was not a song we ever discussed but one I love to dance to that just worked perfectly right after. I was in shock at how perfect that was. Transitions were something we were really particular about and Joe nailed ALL OF THEM! His lighting also helped set the mood and vibe on the dance floor. It synced up perfectly to the music. During a really special moment of “Let It Go”, the lights were all set to blue which really elevated that whole song and experience. The videos we have with that blue lighting is truly magical. He recorded our ceremony and speeches so that we have clear audio of those special moments. These will be great keepsakes! Joe did an exceptional job, more than we could have ever asked for. He understood the assignment and delivered!

I'm beyond grateful to Joe and the Exceptional Entertainment team for all of their hard work. Joe is organized, on top of things, and thorough. During our pre-wedding calls, he brought up details that I had never even thought of, and I was so appreciative to have him help me navigate our wedding reception by keeping us on schedule with our speeches, first dances, etc. Our dance floor was packed the entire night and Joe did a fantastic job gauging the crowd and playing what they wanted. We also utilized Exceptional Entertainment's photo booth and guest book phone, which were special additions that our guests really loved. He had foam light-up sticks for the dance floor that were a HUGE hit with all of our guests! Joe was having a great time behind the DJ booth and I think that really was a game-changer with my guests matching his energy. I 100% will be recommending Joe to all of my friends and family for their events!

They walked us through step by step how to curate the greatest experience for us and all our guests. The process was very detailed, yet super simple! And we didn’t need to worry about the timeline because exceptional kept tabs on all of that. Giving us timelines on all the criteria. Laying it out so we never felt overwhelmed by the process. Joe was wonderful! I knew right away we were in good hands with the organization of the music/timeline website. It really helped us envision what we wanted for our day. Joe was professional and on time with meetings and on site, and kept updating us throughout the night to let us know what was next or what was going on. He even snuck in one last song for us! We had such a great experience working with Joe at Exceptional Entertainment. He was very organized and laid things out for us so clearly when we first met, and he responded very quickly. Joe was amazing throughout the entire wedding planning process. He was nothing but responsive, kind, and supportive of us. He provided us with ceremony, dinner, and dance audio/music. Joe truly was EXCEPTIONAL from our initial meeting to when he packed up at the end of the night! His initial meeting and pre-wedding meetings helped us make sure that everything was good to go. He always responded quickly to any questions. On the day of the wedding, Joe coordinated with the other vendors to make sure the ceremony ran smoothly which was a huge weight off our shoulders. Exceptional Entertainment was an outstanding company to work with for our wedding. Joe was extremely professional, helpful, and made the entire process smooth for all things music at our wedding. Joe was absolutely amazing! His organization leading up to the wedding was phenomenal. He had great communication and responsiveness with us and had check in video meetings. We received lots of compliments from our guests for the music he played. He was also very accommodating to us for our music requests. The photo booth was also a huge hit. We had already been to multiple weddings where Joe from Exceptional Entertainment was the DJ, so it made it a very easy choice to have him help us with our special day. He is very easy to work with, quick to help with anything we needed, and provided us with many different options. On the day-of, everything went very smoothly. We were so lucky to have Exceptional Entertainment for our 8/6 wedding. Joe was incredibly professional, well-organized, and took care of everything we could have asked. The dance floor was packed all night & we had numerous friends come up and tell us how great the music was. My parents surprised us with the Badger Band and he was so smooth with it, I have no idea what was going on. Made for an incredibly special moment and it wouldn't have happened as well without Joe! Our original DJs had to back out due to the pandemic. A friend of ours recommended Joe from Exceptional Entertainment since they had worked with him at their wedding. We called Joe thinking that he might not be able to take us on due to the short notice but had a wedding reschedule for 2021 that was supposed to be that same weekend. Joe was amazing to work with, picked out amazing music and was extremely professional. Joe also thought of everything we hadn’t for speeches, the grand march and so on. I would recommend Exceptional Entertainment to anyone looking for the perfect DJ for your day!

I worked with Joe prior to my wedding where he DJed at the bar I worked at. I knew way back then that he'd be my wedding DJ, because he NEVER failed to get the party going. My wedding was no exception, and he did a great job of working the crowd throughout the night. I've never had more fun on the dance floor! In addition to this, he was wonderful to work with. He was organized, responsive, and he took care of things on his own. For instance, he initiated conversation with my venue and pianist to make sure all the technical details were worked out rather than making me a middle man for these conversations.
