Exclusive Island Weddings

ay special. Planning a destination wedding can be stressful, but Kim made the entire process feel seamless and manageable. She paid attention to every detail, communicated clearly with our vendors, and always made us feel supported and confident throughout the planning process. On our wedding day, everything ran smoothly, allowing us to truly relax and enjoy every moment with our family and friends. Her calm demeanor, expertise, and dedication were invaluable. We are so grateful for all of Kim's hard work, guidance, and care. She went above and beyond to bring our vision to life, and our wedding was more beautiful than we could have imagined. We highly recommend Kim to any couple looking for a planner who is knowledgeable, dependable, and passionate about creating an unforgettable wedding experience.

the Kona Low storm was set to hit Maui on our originally planned day, 3/14/26. You can only imagine how emotional and anxious we felt about how the weekend would even turn out! We were having to keep constant communication with all our guests (we had originally 200 confirmed to attend), check on our family who’s accommodations were evacuated due to the flooding, and still having to pick up my dress & our bridal parties outfits from Elly’s bridal shop. Despite all of the craziness and stress, Kim handled it all so perfectly! She really was there for me and my Husband to reassure us that this day would be beautiful no matter what and that she would do everything she could to make it happen. She suggested moving our wedding to Sunday, 3/15/26 due to the possible chance of lightning and heavy rain on Saturday night and it was the best decision ever. She contacted all the vendors prior to making that suggestion and they all were so amazing and willing to move everything back a day. Kim has such an amazing team and line up of vendors who are so trustworthy and a dream to work with. She was even able to suggest a new hair & makeup team for me and my girls since my original planned vendor wasn’t available for Sunday. The day was absolutely perfect! Kim handled all the Florals and the set up was absolutely stunning, even when it was different from what was originally planned. It was the best night of my life and I was able to let it all go and have fun with my husband, family & friends without stressing about anything all thank to Kim and her wonderful team. Words are not enough to express my gratitude for her. Even when I had a little too much fun, Kim’s team was there to hold my hair and even hold me up, lol! Having Kim as you planner is the best decision you can make, especially if you are a local. We wouldn’t have been able to do any of this without her, and by the end of it all it felt like she was a best friend and family member to us. Thank you Kim for everything!!

wanted to make our special day happen. I can’t stress this enough if you’re trying to plan a wedding go with exclusive island weddings they got you like nobody else could. Mahalo Kim!

Kim has great relationships in the industry. Being off island we needed ALOT of help and they were incredibly organized from start to finish. We always felt in the loop, yet never overwhelmed. Most importantly, Kim helped us bring our dream wedding to life. The day was more beautiful and seamless than we could have imagined.

pened exactly how we imagine and more! The monthly meeting about 2 years before the wedding were so helpful to pace our planning. I am so grateful that they were able to help us make it less stressful and effortless!

are AMAZING!! Planning a wedding is hard work, especially when you have no clue where to start. I remembered scrolling through social media, and I stumbled across my childhood friend’s social media page and asked her if she knew anyone that she recommends for a wedding planner on Maui. She recommended a few, but Kim’s social media page stood out to me, and I knew that Kim was the one that I wanted to have coordinate and execute my wedding. Kim was patient, kind and brought our vision to life, and made my husband and I feel at ease throughout the planning process. From our monthly meetings, Kim helped us every step of the way to create our dream wedding and kept us on top of our timeline and budget. Kim will always have your best interest in mind. Kim and her staff are with you every step of the way on your special day. My guest couldn’t stop raving about how beautiful everything went on our special day from the ceremony to the reception. Kim and her staff not only made our night unforgettable but also made our family and guests’ night a night to remember as well. If you need someone or know of someone getting married in Maui and need to plan your special day, I highly recommend hiring Kim at Exclusive Island Weddings. EVERYONE needs a Kim in their wedding planning process!! From the GROOM: From the moment that we hired Kim at Exclusive Island Weddings, she made the planning process a breeze. From her professionalism and creativity, Kim and her staff brought my wife’s and I’s vision to life. I was amazed at how everything turned out after months of planning. On the day of our wedding as I stepped into the venue, I was speechless at how awesome everything turned out to be, from the ceremony to the reception. My friends and family couldn’t stop telling me that this was the best wedding that they attended. Everything was executed so well, and I would recommend my friends and family or anyone getting married to hire Kim and her staff at Exclusive Island Weddings. My wife and I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding planner than Kim.

n wedding! She is always on time for monthly meetings and will let you know otherwise if not. She is organized, has good connections with different vendors, and provide advice/suggestions when needed. Coming from a different country, we were able to ship various items for our wedding beforehand and Kim was able to pick up the packages on 2 separate days. On the day of the wedding, I did not have to worry about the vendors doing their job as Kim and her team were on top of it. Also did not need to worry about cleaning up afterwards as they had packed everything up for us to take back. Overall our wedding felt stress free and we were able to enjoy celebrating with friends and family instead of worrying if things were running on time. Our guests also commented our wedding as being "beautiful", "best wedding ever!", having one of the best wedding food, and some single couples not wanting to have a wedding after seeing ours. A big thank you to Kim and her team for helping to execute what we had wanted for our wedding. Whether it's a local or a destination wedding in Maui, it will save you alot of time planning by hiring a wedding planner like Kim who has plenty of experience!

makes things work when there’s a change of scheduling. The team is with you through every step of the way. She is able to maintain tasks and get them done!

he start to end! We have entrusted her with our dream wedding and Kim and her team executed it beautifully. We gave her all of our ideas and she made everything happen. When the day of the wedding rolled around, Kim and her team were amazing. They placed all of our personalized decorations the way we wanted and even packed them all up at the end of the night. Working with her was very easy and responsive to all the questions we had. She made sure we got the best vendors for our wedding! As we all know, planning a wedding is stressful but with Kim, she took so much load off of our plate and she made it easier for us to plan the smaller details. Many of our guests won’t stop talking about our wedding and it wouldn’t have been possible without Kim. When thinking of getting a wedding planner, we recommend Exclusive Island Weddings! #itREALINhappend

ce. From the moment we first contacted her, Kim welcomed us with open arms and guided us through the entire planning process with ease. Her friendly attitude and professionalism made us feel at ease every step of the way. One of the things that impressed us the most was Kim's ability to help us stay within our budget while still creating a wedding that was absolutely breathtaking. Her expertise in floral arrangements not only saved us money but also added a special touch to our ceremony that we will never forget. Despite not arriving in Hawaii until shortly before our wedding, Kim managed to pull everything together flawlessly, from recommending the perfect venue to connecting us with the right vendors. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how wonderful the wedding was, and we have Kim to thank for that. She was always quick to respond to our questions and made sure we stayed on track throughout the planning process. She even went the extra mile by providing us with an address where we could ship our belongings, sparing us from the hassle of lugging everything from Texas. I would wholeheartedly recommend Kim to anyone planning a wedding in Hawaii. Her organizational skills, professionalism, and genuine kindness made our day truly unforgettable. With Kim by your side, you can trust that your wedding will be in the best possible hands, allowing you to focus on cherishing every moment of your special day.

e reschedule my day twice due to COVID restrictions. She handled everything, including me. I did not have to worry about anything, and I knew she was on top of it. Unfortunately, I was ultimately unable to have my postponed wedding due to the wildfires, but I still felt the need to commend Kim for all her hard work through the YEARS. We were both sad to call it quits, but I would not have been able to navigate without her, especially being all the way in NJ! Not only did Kim plan everything, coordinate everything, and converse with everyone, but she also offered suggestions outside of the wedding that were helpful for my travels, which I thought went above and beyond. Not only did she care about creating a perfect day, but she wanted my family and I to enjoy our entire stay on the island as well. BOOK. HER.

to share that Kim with Exclusive Island Weddings stuck with me for 4 YEARS. She helped me plan a wedding before the pandemic happened, moved our wedding date twice because of the pandemic, and finally executed our wedding earlier this year. She went above and beyond my expectations of a wedding planner and I am so grateful I found her. <3 You can clearly see that Kim has been in this business for a very long time. Nothing slipped through the cracks on her end and when they did on MY end, she had a solution up her sleeve always at that very moment. I appreciated her professionalism and candor when it came to my budget, choosing my vendors, and going through my timeline with me. I never really had to think about much planning a wedding living 3000 miles away from my venue because she communicated so well, sent updates monthly, then weekly closer to my wedding date. The pressure she lifted off of my shoulders during the planning process was priceless. After our wedding, family and friends complimented us on how fun it was, how good the food was, and how it flowed so well throughout the day and night. People told us as a couple, if we were guests at our wedding, it would've been the best wedding we've been to, because they felt that way. I have Kim and all of our other vendors to thank for that. I really could not have pictured a more perfect day. If you are looking for a wedding planner on Maui, I would recommend Exclusive Island Weddings over and over again! :)

respectful of our budget. I don't plan on getting married again, but if I did, I would choose Kim to plan it.

g is even harder. With Kim’s help, I was stress free for the entire planning process! From setting up vendors for me down to making sure we ate during our reception and everything in between, nothing was missed! She pays so much attention to detail and was always willing to switch things up if I ever had a new idea I wanted to throw into our planning. Not once was I worried that something was going to fall through the cracks. She and her team did such an amazing job putting together our flower arrangements, making sure we knew exactly what to do on rehearsal, and making sure our entire event went smoothly! Without Kim and her amazing team, we wouldn’t have had the day we had. My family and friends all know of her through the Maui network, and they all were able to see her work in action and had nothing but fantastic things to say about her work and how our special day came together. Thank you so much Kim!!!

sks done in a healthy time interval to prevent too much stress on the day of the wedding. She had excellent recommendations and was amazing at coordinating food, event supplies and personally arranging amazing floral supplies. I would definitely recommend her to anyone interested in getting married in Hawaii.

hings you want to throw on your wedding. It's either she'll help you make it happen or tell you straight up if it "isn't possible". Do not worry though because she'll lay options/recommendations you may have on the table. Some of your ideas may not work but hey, you've got options to explore and she's there to guide you throughout your wedding planning journey. We started planning our wedding 6 months before the big day and we couldn't have done it without Kim's guidance. Normally, couples trying to get married plan their wedding atleast a year before their wedding. And yet we did it for 6 months! THANKS KIM! In addition, Kim and her team went above and beyond during our wedding day! They tried their best to keep us and stay on schedule, they communicate very well and made sure everything we've laid out on our plan was going to happen! All we had to worry was get married, have fun and and definitely not stress out! We let EIW take care of the rest! So, I highly recommend getting a planner and no one can do it better than Kim Yonamine!

s very easy and has so much knowledge, connections, and insight in the Maui wedding industry. I highly recommend them for your wedding. Our day was literally perfect thanks to the EIW team.

a challenge to plan our wedding being far away from home. One of our friends, who ended up being our wedding photographer recently her wedding at the time we were looking for planners. She was the one who recommended Kim and her team, Exclusive Island Weddings. She told us how smooth her wedding was and how it was perfect thanks to Kim's help! So no doubt we contacted Kim a little over a year out from our wedding this past September of 2022. Kim had meetings with us every month, was very professional, understanded exactly what we wanted including our budget. She made our budget very clear with updates every meeting so that we knew how much to expect. She was pretty straight forward as well and did not beat around the bush on what we needed or had to consider. She worked with every vendor and made sure our headcount matched what was being served. On the day of the wedding, nothing but beautiful execution. She made sure she was there for us - even down to making a plate of food and drink for us so that we can eat before we got bombarded with guests , photos, and videos. I wholeheartedly recommend Kim any day. If you are having a wedding on Maui, please contact Exclusive Island Weddings!!

e would be the perfect wedding planner. From the start, we worked with her only through email and through zoom calls due to living in different countries. Despite the distance, Kim always kept us on top of our timeline and budget. You would think that being in different countries would make things complicated, but that was never the case with her! She was always quick to respond, professional, and made us feel as if we were ohana because of how much she genuinely cared for us! Fast forward to our wedding day, she made our dream wedding a reality! All of the planning and small details that we discussed through the last year were brought to life and we’re executed perfectly. Throughout our wedding day, she was a superwoman and we couldn’t have done it without her! She was everywhere at once to help make sure everything was happening when it should be. She and her amazing staff took such great care of us the entire day. Whatever we needed or thought of, she was there in a flash! If you’re looking for the best wedding planner in Maui, Kim is the one! Thank you for everything Kim, The Kalas

only thing we knew was that we wanted to get married on Maui. From there, Kim helped us every step of the way to create the most beautiful wedding we could with our budget. At the beginning, she helped us quickly find a spectacular venue that worked with us. From there, each monthly meeting got us more and more vendors who had nothing but amazing things to say about working with her, which made us feel like we made the right choice of planner. If we ever had questions, she was quickly able to get us her honest opinion, no BS, which I appreciated. She helped guide us on many things we didn’t have the slightest clue about, lowering our stress level immensely. By the time we got to Maui the week of, everything was set, which meant we could focus our energy on other things. Meeting for a final in person pre-wedding meeting, we couldn’t have been happier with how she set everything up for us. We left that meeting feeling confident in the wedding and so ready to get married. Even when the eventual issues popped up on the day of the wedding, Kim was able to quickly get them resolved after giving us her honest opinion so we could make the right decision. Her team did a wonderful job of setting up the venue to be ready, even with all-day rain. From my perspective, everything at the ceremony and reception went off without a hitch, as the rain stopped shortly after the ceremony began. Many people told me that this was the most amazing wedding they had ever been to, and it couldn’t have been that way without Kim and her team. Kim was there for us when we needed her the whole day and night, and I am so grateful for having her there for us on our special day. Bride: Kim and the entire EIW team made the wedding of a lifetime a reality for us!! Do yourself the favor of hiring Kim to plan your wedding; it'll be the best decision you make. Planning a wedding, especially a destination wedding, is no small feat, and we really couldn't have done it without EIW. I can't speak highly enough about Kim's knowledge & expertise, and her reputation speaks for itself.

y small detail, despite the many, many changes due to Covid19, she went above and beyond our expectations. Kim and her team literally made our dreams come true & we will never get over of how perfect our wedding day was! Kim is truly are a gifted wedding planner who deeply loves and enjoys what she does! We are forever grateful for you!

and planning for over a year, everything was starting to mesh together and I was losing it. Then i got pregnant by the time and we didn't expect baby was coming out too soon at 30 weeks, so I must say that a lot of things going on and was totally lost the interest of planning for our big day. Well, the good thing I have Kim since day one. She was friendly and approachable. Reading all the coordinators bios made me feel like I would be in good hands with anyone. "STRESS FREE & A LIFE SAVER" she did everything, from budgeting, recommendations for a vendors and all the stuffs, without Kim on the Island I don't know what to do without her packaged deal service. The day of the wedding Kim orchestrated everything flawlessly. She put out all my decorations the way I wanted them and not only that she can also recommended on her own vision just to help and guide you all the details you would want. Kim did 100+ things to help make our day special that it would be too long to list. And oh the timelime as well was perfect! She truly listened to everything my Husband and I had to say. She was truly a perfect fit for us. I have no clue what to do now without her now that the wedding is over. If you have the budget for a wedding coordinator or (can sacrifice something else for one), KIM is the best!. Both of our families absolutely loved working with her and her team, and I credit our wedding day being as smooth and stress-free as it was to all of her hard work

became a reality! I know we weren’t always the easiest people with making decisions - but Kim was there every step of the way. Absolutely amazing and without her there would have been no way we could have had our day be so special. We didn’t feel ANY stress leading up to our special day because of her & for that we are forever grateful.

ful. Her and her team made everything run smoothly on the big day as well, not a single issue. Would highly recommend her if you’re planning on a Maui wedding!

sland Weddings to us. And now we know why. We hired EIW as our full service wedding planner before the COVID pandemic in 2019 for our supposed-to-be 2021 wedding. We had our wedding in 2022, so we have been working with Kim for nearly 2 1/2 years. Prior to COVID we had in person meetings with Kim and she was always fully prepared with our budget, timeline, outstanding tasks, etc. Through the pandemic, Kim remained in touch with us every step of the way. She gave us updates on the State of Hawai’i regulations for events and offered advice. Kim has the experience and strong relationships with local vendors, but allows you the flexibility to be creative and bring ALL your ideas. She’ll give you suggestions and scenarios so you can make the most informed decisions. Kim was always accessible, whether that was through email, text, phone call, or in person meetings. There was never an extended amount of time where we didn’t hear back from her. If she was going to be out of office, she made sure to communicate that in advance. As for our wedding day, she and her team had it all in control. We could hear some things that were going on, but never once did we have to carry that stress or responsibility because she and her team did for us. Kim's not afraid to go the extra length(s) to make your dreams/vision come true. She and her team hauled our sweetheart couch out on to ROCKS to get our perfect "Island Boy meets City Girl" photographs. And no, this wasn't our idea. This was hers! HOW AMAZING!! We wouldn't have even thought of that... Straight up, Kim knows what she’s doing. There is no question there. She is focused and determined to make sure your wedding happens as you guys have been planning. There were a couple minor hiccups (as you can expect with any wedding), but overall it was beautiful and we had so much fun. What we appreciated most about Kim, is the transparency (we saw every invoice and number) and communication! The EIW team are all so sweet, respectful, and hardworking. THANK YOU!!!!! We are blessed to have had you as our wedding planner and to know you, Kim!

with our specific/millions of ideas LOL and she added her professional magic to make it a reality! Kim always had everything 100% under control and really made the process of wedding planning stress free! Kim respected, listened, stood up, and valued us as clients and we are forever grateful for that!! If you think you don’t need a wedding planner, you better FRICKEN THINK AGAIN!! We definitely recommend Kim a million times! We will truly miss working with you Kim! Mahalo nui again Kim for making our wedding day the most beautiful day that we’ll always remember and cherish!

e the right choice. Kim is extremely knowledgeable, organized, welcoming and helpful. Like most, our wedding dreams were shattered when Covid hit and so started our first pivot. Kim was calm, positive and helpful with organizing everything, getting refunds, and assisting us in what was a devastating time. We stayed in contact and she kept us up to date on the status of Covid in Maui, as we were living in northern British Columbia. Eventually, we decided to try again. Kim is so organized and efficient in her monthly meetings, she listened and understood our vision and provided amazing suggestions for vendors that really represented Maui’s finest. Kim built our confidence with her so much that a few times when we did not really know what we wanted, or how we wanted it, we told her to decide as we trusted her decisions. As our big day approached, Omnicron reared its ugly head and we were again faced with difficult decisions. Kim stuck with us, contacted all our vendors on our behalf, and worked so hard to ensure we had as much time as possible to make the decision on going ahead or not. She took so much stress off our plate that we were able to work through everything and make a clear, informed decision. In the end, we decided to go ahead despite the added stress and it was the best decision we made! Kim worked tirelessly to get all the final details completed in such a short time as we had delayed for so long due to world events. Our day was absolutely magical, better then we could have ever imagined! Kim and her team made us feel so incredibly special and gave us the perfect wedding. There aren’t enough words to express how amazing Kim is and if anyone if thinking about a wedding in Maui, Kim at Exclusive Island Weddings should be your first call.

as a destination wedding. We would see our venue for the first time at our rehearsal, the day before the Big Day! I was impressed with Kim’s vast knowledge, while planning for nearly a year. Kim’s attention to detail is impeccable. Her recommendation of vendors was advantageous for us. Kim had a vision of what we wanted, as we spoke in great length about it at every meeting. I appreciated Kim’s patience and her supportive words while planning a wedding during Covid. On our wedding day, Kim and her team were hard at work, coordinating with the multiple vendors as they arrived. I witnessed this while sitting inside the beautiful Olowalu Plantation home, (while getting my glam-on!). I was gazing past the big doors to a stunning garden with the ocean in the background. Bliss! It was 100% accurate when Kim told me at our first meeting, that on our wedding day, all we had to do was sit back, dance, eat, and enjoy ourselves. It meant a lot to us to see how wonderful the vendors present made our wedding look effortless. Every detail was above and beyond our expectations. I felt so calm and happy and it’s all because of Kim and her phenomenal team. I am in complete awe that our vision was put into place, after many hours of hard work. Our wedding continues to be the hot topic of conversation amongst our family and friends, as they shared it was the most beautiful wedding they’ve ever attended. Kim is the reason our wedding was pure perfection.

Weddings. When I contacted Kim, she was already fully booked for the year, but in gods grace, she had an opening. I told her the date, but it was taken, I wanted her so bad that I was willing to change the wedding date just to have her plan our special day. A couple of days later Kim called me and said that she is available for the date. I was the happiest and to this day, I am so glad we had Kim. She made our planning so easy. We had some last minute issues with COVID and she went above and beyond to make sure our wedding happened. My favorite part about working with Kim is that she knows what she’s doing and she gives her honest opinions and ideas. It’s so easy to work with her, she’s very professional, and she cares. You tell her what you want and she makes it happen. Thank you so much Kim for your amazing work!

so grateful to Kim for taking care of us throughout the pandemic on top of the wedding planning. COVID made us postpone our wedding date 🗓 from November 2020 to this year and made it even difficult with all the mandates. Kim worked her MAGIC 🪄 with the vendors to shift the date and venues and made sure that we won’t have to worry at all. We are thankful that we had Kim on our side throughout the process as she thought of every little detail. Kim and the Exclusive Island Weddings team brought our dream into reality 😍🥰 and much more. The decorations were perfect, the whole night was perfect and beyond what we expected. We wouldn’t have done this on our own! THANK YOU SO MUCH! We will be forever grateful to Kim and the whole Exclusive Island Weddings Team! 💜💜💜.

vance and because of pandemic our celebration got pushed back, but kim did everything just to have our celebration happen no matter what and everything turned out to be perfect. Thank you again kim, we will miss you and all your emails lol 😂. Any one looking for the best wedding coordinator contact island exclusive weddings.

wedding in July 2020, but we had to postpone. We work on the East Coast, so changing the date would have been a monumental task for us had we been alone. Kim helped us move everything to the new date without any problems! Our new wedding date was in August 2021 and Kim was able to help us navigate all of the Covid-19 restrictions to keep everyone safe and having fun. While we had originally planned to be indoors before the pandemic, Kim helped us move to an outdoor location. This move meant we needed to work with many new vendors with a much shorter window to plan than we anticipated. The design of everything from the tent, the flowers, and the ambiance was amazing because of Kim and all of the great vendors! We are so grateful that Kim could help us plan our wonderful day!

get everything organized and streamlined into an easy to understand plan. She was beyond patient and easy to talk to any time things came up. It was especially a godsend when the pandemic struck. Luckily we only had to reschedule our wedding date once but it was so much less stressful with Kim to help contact the vendors to change dates. She was on top of all the current rules and regulations so that we could do the event safely and without any incidents. We had a wonderful wedding that everyone could enjoy and were still talking about weeks after. Thank you again Kim you helped give us the memory of a lifetime!

monthly calls of what was happening on the island and how it might possibly affect the wedding. What lead me to choose Kim as my wedding planner was her experience as a project manager, as well as her team's ability to provide the flower arranging services at a major cost savings to us. I was looking for someone to be detailed and organized and keep me on budget, and Kim did just that. She knows all of the little things that you would never think of on your own, and she also knows so many vendors that she easily offered suggestions for any of the ideas I had. My husband and I wanted a wedding a few steps off of traditional, and Kim was able to make that happen for us...she handled hiring the Polynesian dancers, sourcing custom made macarons and ice pops, and even working with our officiant to do something a little unusual we wanted. Another thing I liked about Kim was that she never pressured us to use any specific vendors. I'm sure there are some she has stronger relationships with than others, but we always felt free to choose whoever we felt was best for our event. The best part about Kim is that she's chill. She has a very laid-back, easy vibe that is exactly what you want in a wedding planner without lacking on the ability to get things done. I still get comments from guests about how much they enjoyed our wedding. They can't believe that there were so many special touches incorporated and that I could've planned it from California. I always tell them the key was my amazing wedding planner!

. She always reassured us and made sure that we were okay and happy on the days leading up to the wedding and the day of our wedding. My husband and I wanted our family and friends to enjoy the wedding, and thanks to Kim and her staff, we were all able to relax and take in the day. We are forever grateful for all that Kim has done for us!

gn work and witnessed her professionalism while I was a MOH for one of my best friend's weddings; I'd also like to mention that my best friend and I are originally from Maui, but we have moved away since highschool, so Kim has been a dream to work with because even though we both aren't on Maui to meet the vendors, Kim has been our eyes and ears on Maui for our weddings. Kim was very helpful with her recommendations of vendors and keeping our wedding within our desired budget. She was patient and attentive with all my questions and concerns throughout the planning process and made planning from Oahu easy-peezy. Unfortunately, my fiance and I were one of the couples who had no choice but to postpone our May 30, 2020 wedding because of the COVID-19 quarantine and travel restrictions. At the start of April, we had our monthly phone meeting with Kim where she explained the Maui restrictions and how our different vendors would be handling the situation. Then Kim gave us a few days to decide our next steps. We decided to postpone until 2021; We chose a few dates options that we wanted and then Kim was on it - She made calls the very next day to all our vendors and reception venue, keeping us informed as each vendor confirmed their availability. Within 2 days, Kim was able to solidify EVERYTHING! The amazing thing about Kim is she was juggling her 2020 and 2021 weddings at the same time. She was rebooking vendors and venues for her 2020 couples, while still upholding her regular scheduled meeting with her 2021 couples. She was doing this while all the couples were probably freaking out and calling her like crazy (like me! lol). She was patient and understanding through the whole process and definitely made the date transition so much more bearable.

ew she was our person. Maui being a destination wedding for us, we needed someone organized, honest, creative, and detailed. All through our planning, Kim displayed these traits and then some. Little did we know that 3 months out from our wedding, we also needed someone to go into reactive pandemic mode. When we called to discuss what was happening in the world and the steps to move the wedding to next year, she set my mind at ease. Being in the hospitality industry, I knew what she was dealing with on her end and she took it in stride. She made all the calls and helped organize/arrange all the changes with our vendors. As we continue our planning for next year, I’m even more confident than before we selected the best planner for our special day. Thank you Kim!

o know what it takes to make a dream wedding a reality. Kim’s experience especially spoke volumes this year during the pandemic when the world looked like it was falling apart. Navigating through an unprecedented situation like COVID-19 is no easy task, but Kim took the situation in stride, and kept us apprised of the situation on the ground to help us make a decision on whether having a wedding like we planned was at all possible in 2020. At the beginning of the pandemic when everything was uncertain, Kim made sure to reach out to all the vendors to figure out their policies so that we could make better decisions on what to do next. By the time it became clear that COVID-19 was not going away any time soon, we were already well-prepared and informed to make a decision on our wedding thanks to Kim. When we made the decision to push back our wedding, Kim was ready to make all the calls to make sure we could keep all our vendors for our new wedding date. Kim has been excellent to work with through the pandemic by keeping us informed on updates to Hawaii’s COVID-19 guidelines for gatherings and events. Kim has even worked on putting together alternative timelines for our wedding if the state guidelines prevent gatherings altogether. Kim’s tireless efforts and professionalism have kept us grounded and lessened our worries about planning a stressful event in a very stressful time.

prompt, information was always organized, and Kim remained professional through it all. Like so many other couples, our wedding date was impacted by covid-19 restrictions. In our situation, the decision to postpone was made just one week before our wedding day. One week! We could have easily felt overwhelmed and defeated, but Kim didn't skip a beat and took care of EVERYTHING, making the process as smooth as it could possibly be. From informing our venue and vendors (15+ contacts) to helping us find a new date, we were confident that she would help us find a way to make things work. Thanks to Kim, we secured all of our original vendors and a new date at our original venue. Our heads would spin if we did this on our own! We are so grateful for all her help and look forward to celebrating our special day.

e and after the pandemic. Before the pandemic, she kept us on track to make and moving on making decisions, and she kept all of our vendors organized. She communicated with vendors for us and helped solve any issues that arose during that time. When the pandemic really began to take hold, we were only a few months away from our wedding date. When we made the decision to move the date, Kim saved the day and handled all of the heavy lifting that comes with a date change - notifying the venue, making sure all the vendors and the venue were available for a new date, and updating all of our contracts. We are so grateful for everything she has done for us. It helped us worry about one less thing during all of this, and most importantly, we had peace of mind that everything was taken care of. Throughout this process, Kim has been super supportive and understanding. I don't know what we would have done without her, there is no way we could have pulled it off ourselves. We're looking forward to continuing to work with Kim on our new wedding date, and we are excited to see all of the planning come to life!

s always so organized with our timelines & budget, keeps us on track, and is more than understanding when it comes to our decisions and/or requests. Like many other couples, our wedding was impacted by COVID-19 which left us questioning "what now & where do we go from here?" Kim not only reached out to us personally but was so reassuring that we could overcome this hurdle and find a solution. She quickly reached out to our vendors, made new arrangements based on our requests, and always communicated updates with us in a timely manner. All thanks to Kim, my fiancé and I are still able to do a small ceremony this year on our original date and postpone our reception to next year - honestly, we could not have done this without her help. She truly goes above and beyond to make your weddings happen! From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU so much Kim!

ne our wedding. Kim has been very diligent with keeping up on the latest details regarding the wedding industry in Hawaii and updating with us on a monthly basis. Rescheduling our wedding with Kim has been flawless and stress free because Kim is very detail oriented, has excellent communication with us and our other wedding vendors, and most importantly puts our happiness/concerns as her hightest priority. Mahalo Nui Kim for all that you do, not only for us, but for all your clients especially during the COVID-19 pandemic!

t providing couples with amazing wedding planning service, which is why we chose her out of the many planners we interviewed. Like many other couples, we had to postpone our wedding to the next year, and Kim was on top of everything before we made the decision to do so. She ensured that every vendor was notified of our date change and was able to book each on for our new date. She was ready with new contracts to be signed right away and we didn't have to do a thing. Being in California, I thought it would be stressful to plan a destination wedding, especially during a pandemic, however, it has been such a breeze with Kim since she took care of everything. We are way ahead of schedule for a wedding that will take place now in 2021 and I am very pleased with that. When the shelter in place order started, I was very worried and stressed about our wedding. We had family flying in, hotels booked, and vendors confirmed for our wedding. Kim assured that we would figure everything out and she put together a plan with different options and we chose what was best for us, which was to postpone. I sincerely appreciate everything that she has done for us and I look forward to continuing to plan our wedding and having her there the day of.

rought it to a standstill, Kim eased our fears and turned the unknowns to knowns. Every step in planning our untraditional COVID wedding was delicately crafted. Kim strived (and succeeded) in making sure that not only did our guests feel safe but our vendors also. She made sure every precaution was taken (vendor testing, social distancing), every rule was followed (taking guests temps, submitting contact tracing), and most importantly she made sure to remind us that love was not cancelled. If I had to choose one outstanding trait (though there are many) it's that Kim's communication is second to none. She was our liaison in educating us of any changes to COVID regulations, she kept all of our vendors informed and prepared, and even lent us a friendly ear (on multiple occasions) when we felt defeated and needed comforting words. She did not jeopardize the safety of our guests to plan a "picture perfect" wedding - and yet every part of our wedding felt perfect. She is compassionate and realistic, resilient and passionate - all amazing qualities that make her perfect at what she does. Might I add that our first correspondence with Kim was a day after she gave birth to her second child. You cannot question her dedication. We are honored to have been under the care of Kim & her team. They deserve every praise & we truly could not have done it without them. If you are considering a wedding planner, you cannot be in better hands than with Kim at Exclusive Island Weddings. --- Initial review, after postponing from original date ---- I cannot stress enough just how wonderful Kim at Exclusive Island Weddings has been throughout this entire process. Due to COVID19, we decided to postpone our September 2020 wedding to February 2021. No one prepares for a pandemic and yet it seems as if Kim has done this many times before. When deciding between postponing and keeping our original date, Kim was both compassionate and realistic. Instead of sugarcoating things, she was very candid about what we should expect. She laid out the pros and cons of both situations. And most importantly, she did not sway us one way or another. We always felt in control of our decision making and was 100% supported by Kim. She kept tabs on the current status of the wedding industry and relayed that information in our monthly calls. Instead of remaining stagnant, Kim gave us homework so that when things started up again we were prepared and ready. Kim gracefully handled all the correspondence between our vendors. In regards to the actual postponing process, all it took was one email from her saying “Yes, all your vendors are available for your new date.” I was expecting chaos and many back & forth messages but instead Kim made it so incredibly easy. In the midst of everything, Kim encouraged us to think ahead and remain positive. In addition to a wedding planner, we gained a friend who comforted us in times where it was all too much to handle. We cannot thank her enough. I can confidently say that choosing Exclusive Island Weddings was one of the best decisions we've ever made. We are so incredibly grateful for you Kim and look forward to working with you on our new date.

rompting you on what you should be focusing on at different times. During the time of COVID, she has had to move my ceremony once already, and possibly soon to be twice! She takes care of absolutely everything and you can tell she loves what she does and cares about each individual couple and their needs and wants. I know she is always available to get a hold of if I need help, or have a silly question. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience thus far. We don’t deserve you, Kim!
