where the cocktail hour was held and created a detailed timeline of events so that I and the wedding party knew exactly where to be and when. She met with all of the vendors and provided coordination and direction so that all services seamlessly integrated. Her high level of professionalism was shown when she communicated with other vendors and the way she spoke to my family/the guests. My favorite part of her five-star service is when we returned to the bridal suite exhausted after the long day and all the flowers and gifts were already in the room. She is kind and has a strong ability to solve problems in a tactful manner. For example, my father can't walk on his own but she found a way with the help of my brother's for him to walk his only daughter down the aisle on the beach. This company and service is worth every penny and Mayra’s years of experience in the industry really made our special day one to remember until the end of time. I can’t thank her enough for all she did for us and her calm, supportive personality.

e would be my planner. Fast forward to when I got engaged, she was one of the first vendors I called to confirm her availability and in hopes it would be a YES. I did not need help planning the wedding, as I am super detailed and enjoy bringing my vision to life. However, I for sure knew I needed her for month of. She was provided me a vendor list, checked in through out the year and when it came time to the month of, she was extremely organized, detailed and communicative. She would respond to me when she said she would which I appreciate. Through the wedding planning, you quickly realize that your event is not the priority to all vendors but Mayra proved me wrong. As I mentioned, I am extremely detailed and when my spouse and I spoke to vendors, multiple vendors acknowledge how nice, respective, detailed and easy it was to work with Mayra. The week off is pretty crazy to say the least. No matter how much you plan, things go wrong. Linens and dance floor showed up with wrong color, she took care of it immediately. I didn't even know the things that were happening behind the scenes on the day of. I would full heartedly hire Mayra and EY Events again in a heart beat. Don't look past getting a coordinator or planner, you won't regret it. Make it part of your budget. Thank you Mayra and the EY girls for allowing us to be fully present and cherish the most important day of our lives!

nd attends phone and Zoom calls. She has you fill out all kinds of lists and asks for floor/setting plans. Wonderful! She always has words of encouragement to minimize stress and reminds you she and her staff are great at what they do and to leave everything in their hands! But BEWARE... My wife and I spent 6 months meticulously planning our daughter's wedding. We hired Mayra and her company based on reviews to handle the last 3 months of planning. Timelines, specific seating charts/plans, vendor selections, and processional and music selections were all discussed and updated up to the last minute. As this was a large wedding of 150 guests being held outside in the evening, her staff's responsibilities/duties were discussed and determined. However, on the day of the event, it was as if we were dealing with a 'completely' different person! Mayra never introduced us to any of her mysterious staff, aside from one gentleman introducing himself hours later to us as a helper working with Mayra. Both my wife and I were very stressed during the event as Mayra seemed to be in over her head, running from one issue to another, with no assistance we could see. As issues arose, we addressed our concerns with Mayra and asked that she take care of them. She would smile kindly and proceed to provide an excuse not to correct something, often saying it was too late or passing blame to a vendor. This was odd as all vendors knew that Mayra was in charge and that she had the last word in any situation as per our previous vendor meeting/conversation the week before. All vendors were provided the same timeline and seating charts/plans by Mayra and knew she was in charge. She merely needed to remind them of this and tell them what to do if things went awry. It was all my wife and I could do to keep smiles on our faces in front of our daughter, pretending everything was perfect and wonderful. Although, it is rather hard to ignore 125 guests being served their dinner on the lawn in the dark, or to not notice the wilted, petal-dropping flowers of entire bridal party's bouquets, or to have the late-night Café Bar for our guests shut down and removed before they had a chance to utilize it before making their way to their cars. Of note: Mayra provided MC services during our reception dinner (for an additional $200) but originally told us that these services would be performed by one of her colleagues who inexplicably was not present. When questioned about this, Mayra said that both my wife and I had ‘misunderstood’ her emails and Zoom conversations and that there was no ‘colleague’ to perform the MC work for the evening, only her. Right… Believe us when we tell you, the lack of attention, service, and professionalism during my daughter's wedding indicated to us that Mayra and her company's mission statement, "Our mission has remained the same for the past 13 years; to take a vision and bring it to life while ensuring an enjoyable planning phase. Our clients deserve it all! We make sure the day they have always dreamed of is realized and free of the unwanted stress..." is tragically inaccurate and she has proven NOT to be the 'totally prepared' wedding planner that she promised us she would be. If you have a large wedding or event planned with many moving parts, EY Events is not for you!
