After a horrible experience at a different bridal shop, I walked into Expressions in Silk bridal feeling defeated and they made me feel like the bride I was meant to be. They helped find me a beautiful dress that fit perfectly, was the perfect style for me and was well within my budget. They also did my wedding dress alterations. The price and quality was perfect! I visited the store this past Sunday, and had the pleasure of meeting Patti, one of the owners. I went with the intention of "just looking", to see what was available in the way of mother-of-the-bride dresses for my daughter's wedding in October. After a friendly chat, Patti knew what my preferences were, and pulled a couple of things for me to consider. Never in a million years did I think I would have made a decision on something like this, so quickly. Rather than a dress, I chose a gorgeous, elegant pantsuit that made me feel much more comfortable than a dress would have. It was literally the FIRST thing she pulled off the rack for me to see! She convinced me to try it on, just to get an idea of the sizing, as most formalwear runs a couple of sizes smaller than normal, and I'm glad I did. Once I had it on, my mind was made up. I knew that it was not a dress or gown that I wanted...it was the beautiful suit! It suited every one of my preferences, to wear on my daughter's special day. I can not say enough, about how great my experience was at this business. I was truly dreading the aspect, of having to visit the "big box" bridal stores. I don't believe that one gets the same level of customer service in those. Expressions In Silk has been in business for 39 years, so their level of knowledge and experience speaks for itself. It's also a wonderful feeling. knowing that I am supporting a fine, local business rather than a giant corporate one, where you're just another face walking in the door. Both the ladies were amazing, very accommodating, friendly folks even when I was being a bit of bridezilla. The seamstress was amazing and affordable. Took a dress that wouldn’t have been my first choice and made it into my perfect dress. They cater to women of all sizes. I enjoyed that it was more of a boutique and not a warehouse. Definitely made me feel like I was the most important person every time was in the store.

I am a big girl. I did not think that I would find a beautiful dress that would flatter and fit my body. I felt very insecure when I first walked into their salon. However, the wonderful ladies their looked at me, and were able to visual different styles that would fit my physique. And yes, they found "the dress!" I was beautiful on my wedding day. The dress need many alterations. On top of being a large woman, I am also short. Their alterations specialist was a dream come to life. She added beautiful lace sleeves to my gown. I felt comfortable and beautiful! It was magical. People complimented that gown (and the woman in it!) all night long. You will not be disappointed with this business. TRUST ME!
