No matter the size or style of your event she creates one of a kind custom design tailored to your celebration! From the moment I met Shantay, I knew that I had found exactly who I was looking for to ensure my wedding would be beautiful. In our initial meeting, I told her what we wanted, and she took it from there. The quoting process, contract signing, discussions, pre-wedding photo shoot, and the actual day of the wedding decor were all above and beyond our wildest experience dreams. Thank you so much for being the professional that you are and making this process as worry free as you did. I highly recommend Expressions of Decor!

Let's talk about service. Service is selflessly helping someone else, in order to bring them happiness, and You being rewarded for it. Unfortunately this company isn't quite there. Their contracts are amateur at best, they have hidden prices, don't breakdown costs, don't present a schedule of coordination, and are completely small minded in change. I write contracts for a living and when I requested simple changes, I was denied. Some include an inclement weather clause, an improved remedies clause, and a cost breakdown. The response showed that the company is novice when it comes to business practices such as paperwork. I've received three quotes other than this company and all were two steps above this one. Avoid the headache, don't book, especially if you don't want to do future legal action.

I’ve been meaning to do this for a while! I got married August 26th 2017 and I cannot recommend Shantay enough. She has exquisite taste and is a joy to work with!!! Being a bride is stressful (you’ll find out soon enough ladies) and Shantay was like a counselor to me! Lol. My wedding day memories give me such happy feelings and a lot has to do with Shantay!! I felt like I was in a dream when I saw my venue all spruced up with the flowers and decor from Shantay!! Book her and your won’t regret it!!

Shantay was absolutely great to work with and she truly has a gift for putting together beautiful arrangements. When I walked into our venue the day of our wedding I was completely taken back by how spectacular everything looked. From the bridal bouquet to the table arrangements—it was all breathtaking. I never imagined tha when they opened the doors to the reception that all of our dreams and expectations would be exceeded in such a beautiful way. It brought us to tears. Shantay most recently did my June wedding and it turned out better than I could have envisioned. When I met with Shantay last summer I just knew she was the one for our special day. She is the most personable person I know and such a wonderful person to work with. From the time we sat down and went over what I envisioned, she not only listened but offered ideas that fit directly with the direction I wanted to be in! Not one other vendor I met with went the extra mile like Shantay did! She threw in special florals for the bride and groom chairs and they were wonderful! If anyone is looking for a fun and VERY talented florist, Shantay is your girl! She is amazing and I'm so glad she was apart of our special day!

Expressions of Decor really delivered! When it came to ideas for flowers for my wedding, I was a blank sheet of paper. I knew how I wanted to incorporate my other design ideas into the flowers but I had no ideas about what flowers to use or how many of anything I needed for anyone including myself. Shantay to the rescue! She talked to me, my mom, and my wedding planner. She showed us pictures, books, and concept proposals. She really paid attention to me and didn't stop searching until she found the perfect flower for each thing. When I wanted to talk about making color changes she said no problem, let's meet. When I said I'm having such a hard time finding baskets that I like for the flower girls, she said would you like me to take care of that? To which I happily said "Yes, please". I didn't have to think about how many of this or that are needed for the ceremony or what size arrangement should be placed with the cake because she took care of everything. She always ran everything by me and made sure it was exactly what I wanted but then she ran with it and I didn't have to think about it anymore. Everything at the ceremony and the reception turned out absolutely beautiful!!! I could not have asked for a better florist!

Shantay (the owner) is amazing. I showed up with a lot of pictures and a budget, and she absolutely brought my vision to life and somehow did it within my budget. I loved peonies but they are expensive so Shantay suggested we use them only in my bouquet and found another flower that created the same look and feel for the bridesmaid's bouquets and other arrangements for way less. She joined a pinterest board with me so that we could both pin ideas until we found the perfect look. AND, best of all, she will create a mock centerpiece a couple of weeks before your wedding so you know exactly what you are going to get and can make adjustments if you want. She was an absolute pleasure to work with, and I would recommend her to any bride looking for a florist in DFW.

Shantay is amazing!!! Very professional and great at what she does! My wedding was wonderful, a dream come true! Everything was beautiful, it was that and more of what I had envision. When I had my consultation with her, she understood everything very well and was able to put a lot of things together and gave me many choices. Planning a wedding it not easy. Especially when you are the bride. My fiance actually found Expressions of Decor.....so I wasn't sure what to expect. The very first visit we had with Shantay (Owner & Floral Designer) was absolutely amazing. She is a wonderful, honest and a helpful person when it comes to planning the flowers for your wedding. Everything from the ceremony, to the reception was completely beautiful. It was so wonderful having such trust in her, and she came through on everything. Her services were above and beyond what we paid for. Not to mention, that she accommodated as many calls/meetings that we requested to feel comfortable with our selection (mainly for the mother of the bride). Flowers really set the tone of your wedding, and because of Shantay Long, our wedding was absolutely beautiful. I'm a type A personality so I needed to know what was going on at all times with my vendors. When I met Shantay, it didn't take long for me to see just how knowledgable and passionate she is about her flowers and about her business. I told her the look I was going for and sent her some photos of inspiration from my Pinterest board and she was able to completely exceed my expectations! I'm still getting compliments from my guests about my flowers and my wedding was over a month ago! Shantay is also a great person to talk to. Two days before my wedding I stopped by her office to do a final look on the centerpiece and instead of it being a quick "in and out" meeting, it turned into a good 30-45 min of talking and laughing about the normal stressful situations brides go through days before the wedding. I had the pleasure of working with Shantay while planning my wedding at the recommendation of a family friend. From the very first meeting, Shantay was very professional and knowledgeable. She quickly understood my vision for my ceremony/reception décor and offered helpful ideas. One of the things I appreciated the most about working with Shantay is that she offers way more than centerpieces. I used Expressions of Décor for table linens, glassware, candles, bouquets and all of my centerpieces. Shantay is not only incredibly gifted with floral arrangements, but also with the overall décor. I also appreciated the time she spent getting to know me. She completely understood my vision for the wedding, and her execration on the day-of was flawless. It was such a relief for me to coordinate with one person for all of the decorating details. I was also very impressed with the value and quality of Expressions of Décor. Once we figured out what we wanted the room to look like, I shared my pictures, and vision, with her. On the day of the wedding, I couldnt have asked for more. The bouquets arrived to the hotel on time so there were no stresses with wondering where they were. The room where we were married was exactly how I envisioned it; just stunning! I couldn't say enough good things about working with Shantay. If anyone is getting married in Dallas, I highly recommend working with her. She made it so easy and kept me calm when needed. Expressions of Décor was professional and a pleasure to work with. Shantay Long was a great. In our initial meeting, she was able to listen to our what we wanted and even give us samples. Shantay went through my Pinterest board and was able to put together my ideal wedding bouquet, centerpieces, and decorate the reception venue just the way I wanted. Weeks before the wedding, she showed us what the table décor would look like..centerpieces, chair covers, table cloths, and napkins. She even brought a couple of different choices to our reception venue so that we could get a better feel for the décor and setting. Shantay was accommodating and offered reasonable prices for everything. We made several changes up until the day of the wedding and she was flexible. I will definitely hire her for my next big event.

Shantay did an amazing job for our wedding. She provided all of the flowers and decor and my husband and I were amazed at how she was able to bring our vision to life. She was pleasant to work with. She was always nice and provided suggestions/alternatives if we wanted something that wasn't in our budget. She was very budget friendly and was willing to work with us to make sure we got everything we wanted. We definitely plan on using her floral and decor services again and would strongly recommend her to others.

Shantay is FABULOUS!!! From the first moment I met her, I knew I was going to use her! She is a master of her craft and was able to provide some great insight on the flowers I was after. She is also a purple and a bling queen (like me!) so did an amazing job incorporating both into my bouquets/center pieces in a beautiful way. She also sets up time the week of the wedding to show you all of the centerpieces in her shop so you can see what they look like ahead of time and make any necessary changes. I received so many compliments on the flowers and it was all thanks to her! I'd highly recommend her!!

Shantay at Expressions of Decor did an absolutely amazing job with the flowers and decor for our wedding. She took my very vague thoughts and created the most beautiful vision and end result for all of the ceremony flowers, cocktail and dinner reception tables and flowers, and bouquets. Shantay also added additional touches she knew would enhance the design even more, and did a mini mockup of the table a couple of days in advance for me to view to confirm it met expectations. It exceeded expectations! I would not hesitate to recommend Expressions of Decor.

Expression of Decor was my wedding florist. Shantay listened to exactly what I wanted and made my wedding a dream! She added flowers where they were needed, i.e. my cake to enhance every part of the wedding. She provided linens as well that matched the venue and my colors perfectly. She didn't miss a detail! She was easy to work with and had a fabulous office with lots of examples and samples.

Words cannot convey what an amazing job Shantay did. I was married two weekends ago and she created absolutely amazing bouquets and centerpieces for me. I seriously couldn't believe my eyes when I walked into the reception. She went so above and beyond. She was supposed to do a box of flowers for my sweetheart table, but instead she went all out and created a gorgeous table with ribbons and flowers! I was shocked when I saw it! The rest of the centerpieces were absolutely stunning too. And my parents couldn't believe how attentive she was. Definitely one of my best vendors! I even somehow miss communicated with her the number of bouquets I needed for bridesmaids, but she quickly came to the rescue and they turned out beautifully. I had peonies for my bridesmaids and on my cake and they were huge. I don't think i've ever seen them that big. I was expecting just a few on my cake and she completely had them cascading down the side. It was absolutely stunning! I cannot recommend her enough. You will not be disappointed!

We used Shantay Long "Expressions of Decor" for our wedding decor: center pieces, linens, and floral etc.. Over all I think everything turned out nice. The only thing I was truly 100% pleased with were the bouquets. The bridal bouquet was breath-taking. The bridesmaids bouquets turned out nice after she dyed the flowers the right color! The grooms boutonniere was just a big flower and it fell apart by the end of the evening... The Center pieces were exactly what we asked for, which were beautiful. The linens were kind of disappointing, I didn't even notice this until we got our picture back from the photographer, but the table runners were wrinkly and had very noticeable creases in them that pop out and look very tacky in the pictures. They weren't even ironed or anything, they looked like they had been folded up for months in someones closet. I'm just giving an honest review.. Shantay was great at communication, she always responded very quickly to our emails!! FYI she doesn't deliver bridal bouquets... I was never told this and didn't find out until days before my bridal portraits... Long story short she wasn't willing to work with me on it and I ended up with no bouquet for my pictures (which was partially my planners fault because if she'd have been better she could have warned me in advance to make arrangements or she could have got them for me)... Very disappointing!! She did the set up and break down of all the decor. All together there were things that were good and things that needed improvement that's why I give 3 stars! *********I cannot comment on my own review but per today 11.24.13 we have not been contacted per the below comment like she said.

I found her on The Knot.com. She was recommended. She was the first florist that I went to, and the only one. She listened, made recommendations and was SO nice. She also decorated the gazeebo in the garden and it was stunning. She also kept me company as the rest of the bridal party was walking out & I was all alone...SO nice!! Definitely check Expressions of Decor out. She does a wonderful job!

Shantay did an amazing job creating my wedding vision. Everyone that we have spoke with stated that this was the best wedding that they have been to and I thank expression of decor for that. Shantay at Expression of Decor is wonderful! Flowers are not particularly important to me and therefore we did not allocate very much of our budget to this area of the wedding. When I first met Shantay I explained that we were working with a small budget and didn't need extravagant arrangements as we were doing our own centerpieces. She understood what I wanted and worked with me to find lower priced, but still beautiful, flowers in the colors I wanted. Even though our order was pretty small by wedding standards, Shantay still treated me like my wedding was special and deserved her full attention. The bouquets she created for me and my bridesmaids with roses, gerber daisys and hydrangea were absolutely beautiful and I adored the spray roses she used for the boutonnieres. I could not have been happier with the flowers or my experience with Shantay. I would highly recommend Expressions of Decor!

If you want beautiful flowers she centerpieces for your wedding and reception I would look no further than Expressions of Decor! Thanks to Shantay, the owner, the vision I had for the reception and foyer and bouquets became reality! The flowers were beautiful and fresh and exactly what we discussed! The centerpieces and how they were arranged were gorgeous! So many people mentioned how beautiful they thought the centerpieces were! And I cannot forget to mention her great and upbeat attitude! She was such a joy to work with and was always timely in responding to my questions or concerns! She has such an amazing eye for things and can take what you want and make it even better! This vendor should have example of what different sizes and should make sure to clarify what the customer wants. The vendor should also not create extra stress at the end of the process. Get every aspect of your wedding and what you want spelled out! The vendor does amazing work, just wish Shantay would understand that extra stress is not necessary!

This florist I found by pure chance and she is amazing! I showed her my overall vision and flowers I liked, she showed me how to get the look but stay on budget. She was even willing to break down bills between bride and groom family. The florist also did my silk boquet for free for my bridal portraits and a few days before the wedding set up my two wedding centerpieces for me to see to be sure it was what I wanted. She was so great to work with, she came early to set up and make sure I loved it all, checked on me to make sure I was doing okay and even pinned all the guys flowers on. She is the sweetest person I have ever worked with, she is reasonable price and she will make your dreams come true within your budget. My mom used her for my bridal shower, my in laws used her for the rehearsal dinner as well. She is amazing!!!

We love this woman! Shantay helped turn all of our ideas into the most beautiful ceremony and reception we could have ever imagined. To this day people compliment us on our tasteful decor. And she truly works within your budget. She delivered on everything she promised and more. She is very professional but so friendly. We even used her for a smaller floral arrangement a few months later because we loved her so much. Our pictures look great...thanks again Shantay!

Shantay is a very easy person to talk to. She is very nice and dedicated to her work. Delivery was prompt and the flowers were beautiful. She worked with my low budget and still managed to provide quality floral arrangements. The only reason I gave her 4 stars is because she forgot about one of our meetings, but she made up for it with an added discount (she really is insistent on keeping all her brides happy). Overall, I would definitely recommend her services to anyone.

Shantay was so great to work with. She made the whole process fun and exciting. She truly loves her job and it shows. The flower arrangements were absolutely gorgeous. I changed my mind quite a few times during the process but everything came out exactly how I had pictured it in my head. I had so many compliments from my guests. She delivered them the day of and even drove all the way back from another wedding when she realized she forgot to give us the bouts and corsages. She was very willing to add on to my order about 3-4 weeks before the wedding when I realized I needed some aisle flowers. She was very affordable and has a great eye for design. I met shantay at a bridal show and talked to her for a little bit. She was sweet and excited about what she did. I'm so happy i picked her. When my mom and I went to meet with her she got so excited about all these ideas she could help us with and stayed just as excited the whole 8 months we planned with her. She also made everything so easy and helped me so much, cause I didn't really know what I wanted. The day of my wedding she took care of everything smoothly and it was beautiful. I appreciate shantay so much and I can't thank her enough for the beautiful wedding she decorated for me.

If you are looking for a florist vendor, stop looking this is the place to go!!! When I met Shantay Long for the first consultation for my wedding flowers she was so amazing, She went out of her way to get me exactly what I wanted and really takes the time to go over every detail with you. I can't say enough of how beautiful all my flower arrangements where. I can’t thank her enough for all the beautiful work she did. She will work with any budget you give her and do an AMAZING job!!

From the first time my husband and I met with her until the day of our wedding, Shantay was super nice, honest and professional to work with. My centerpieces were amazing, my bouquet was perfect, the bridesmaids bouquets were elegant, I could go on for days! Once you've decided your budget, Shantay will make sure to work with you and in case you do go over, she will be sure to let you know. I highly recommend this vendor, you will not be disappointed!

I booked Expressions of Decor for my wedding very early on in my planning. Our meetings were great and I was very excited about the flowers. I recommended her to multiple people and even took my best friend to see her when she got engaged. My best friend booked her wedding with her and I thought it was perfect because I would be able to see her work before my wedding. At my best friend's wedding the grandmother corsages were forgotten and one of the alter arrangements broke. I was not discouraged in the least, only a little concerned. I thought, well things happen, they go wrong, we move forward. I emailed Shantay shortly after asking for a meeting to discuss delivery times and details of my contract and after receiving a response that said "Yes, we can meet next Tuesday, but I am confused as to what we will be discussing since the details and delivery time is in the attached service agreement." I finally admitted that I had concerns regarding the way things went at my friend's wedding. She then sent me an email stating the following: "Because it is unusual for this type of meeting for flower deliveries, it appears to me that you do trust that I can deliver your flowers on your wedding day. I would like to thank you for your consideration and the referral. This is an important day in your life and you should have someone that you trust and I think it is best for me to cancel the service agreement and refund you your entire amount including the deposit for a total of $xxx, $xxx will be refunded to your card and the difference of $xxx will be sent by check in the mail today. " No sooner had I finished the email had my paypal message appeared stating she had already refunded my money. I was completely flabbergasted and devastated. I did not in any way want to cancel my contract! I tried to send her an email apologizing for offending her (which was silly as concerns should not be an offense) and that I was just trying to be honest but she stated the same thing " am glad that you were honest, because I do not want any of my brides to have concerns and fears about my services. It is because of your concerns and fears that I feel it necessary to end the service agreement and issue a refund." I was now at 2 months until my wedding with no florist because I had a couple of concerns regarding service. I will mention I was also paid in full. I had no balance remaining. If you are a bride that likes to confirm everything with your florist a couple months in advance or go over some concerns you might have because you are a little jittery then DO NOT BOOK THIS FLORIST. I never saw this one coming but could not believe she was so quick to cancel on a bride to close to her wedding. This is one of the most important days in our lives and we want everything to go as planned and if she cancels on every bride that has a couple of concerns then I do not see how she stays in business. I want to keep someone else from having to scramble to find a new florist weeks before her wedding. Please do not book with her if you might have concerns of service.

I never wanted to spend a fortune on flowers but my fiance thought that the flowers made a huge difference so we went searching for a florist that we both liked. Shantay was super nice and she had a great attitude towards our wedding and the main flower that I had picked, sunflowers!! Every florist that I had talked to before said that they prefered not to do sunflowers in a wedding because they were to unpredictable, but that is my favorite flower and I wanted it in my wedding and she was fine with that!! So the flowers were sunflowers, ivory roses and a blue accent flower. She was easy to get ahold of but not as easy to meet up with mainly because if it wasn't a huge issue she'd rather talk through email or on the phone which was fine! I used a fake bouquet for my bridal shoot and I was not impressed with it, and I let her know by giving her % of flowers that I wanted for the wedding!! She told me that I would go in her record book for giving her % :) She sent me and email and text with my bouquet and my girls bouquets before the wedding and before she wrapped them in there satin ribbon to make sure that I liked them and I was VERY impressed!! She did an AWESOME job!! Everyone said how beautiful the sunflowers looked with my girls malibu dresses!! I loved them and the alter arrangement and the floor petals looked awesome!! I was very happy with her and the flowers!! So Brides to be, if you want sunflowers don't let anyone tell you that they are not a good wedding flower because I will send you pics to prove that they are :) I highly recommend Shantay!

Wow, lets see where do I began? Well for starters I don't usually leave online reviews, but this vendor was so outstanding with the decor of my wedding last weekend, that it is imperative that I do so! Expressions of Decor put their magic touch on my big day and left my husband and I--as well as our guest--raving (they are still calling and emailing each day about the decor). We were married in an indoors atrium with floor to ceiling windows and lots of sunlight, and we wanted a romantic, cozy feel in the place. Shantay went above and beyond our expectations (and her personality is just as vivid as her decor :)! Not only were there these grand, beautiful floral arrangments that gave off sweet smells and romantic appeal, but the bridemaids' bouquets and the boutineers were flawless! And don't get me started about my bridal bouquet--one of a kind and AMAZING! I am a hard-to-please type of woman and trust me when I tell you, this vendor is the BEST! We gave her our budget and she went right to work piecing together a look for our day and making our vision come to life. Don't fret about the amount of your budget--she will give you the grandest look for your buck! Also, we were able to go in and see a mock reception set-up the week of our wedding to ensure that our vision had been satisfied. On our wedding day our reception space left us all speechless. Everybody keeps telling me it was the most romantic wedding they've ever been to!!! And I can thank Expressions of Decor for setting the perfect mood!! If you're a bride who values quality (whether simplistic or glamorous) you definitely want to check out this vendor, because they have a special knack for classy design and you will not be disappointed at all!!!

Shantay was a lot of fun to work with and really listened to my ideas and went with it. The flowers were gorgeous and just what I wanted. There were a few things promised that weren't delivered like petals fors the flower girls to throw at the reception but overall I would definitely recommend her to anyone

She is so personable and friendly, made great flower recommendations, helped us get the most out of our budget and made our wedding unforgettable! The flowers were fresh, beautiful and elegant! She even went the extra mile to hand paint my daisies because they came in not pink enough. She will not disappoint you! I loved my flowers and so did everyone else! Shantay is fabulous to work with! She helped us to stay within our budget and did a wonderful job on the centerpieces and altar arrangements. We wanted to have a tropical flower theme and because those are usually more expensive and harder to get than the usual wedding flowers like roses and such she showed us less expensive alternatives that looked so wonderful in the finished product! We absolutely LOVED the arrangements, so after the wedding we brought them home and they still lasted us about 1 1/2 weeks. Shantay will help you to get what YOU want without trying to talk you into the more expensive option. I would definately recommend her service - she will make your wedding day beautiful!

My flowers were absolutely gorgeous. I had a very tight budget and Shantay was able to use what I had available and give me a beautiful bouquet. All of my flowers were amazing, and she was available to me the whole way through the planning process. I am so happy that I was able to find Shantay to help me with my wedding flowers.

found Shantay on a whim when she sent out an email blast and I am SO glad that I did. Not only are her prices the absolute most reasonable that I had found, she is such a pleasure to work with. Prior to going to meet with Shantay at Expressions of Decor, the only flowers I was familiar with were basic such as roses, lillies, hydrengaes, tulips, etc. Shantay provided us with visuals of each flower recommendation she made. This was fantastic!! She was also aware of our budget and made our vision come true with slight variations. She is extremely prompt with all correspondence and I loved working with her as vendor. She went above and beyond, she even labeled all boutonnières in advance so when she dropped off all the flower arrangements, the gentleman knew exactly which one was their. She also volunteered to help me setup my reception favors, menus, and cake display items for me! I didn't even prompt her for this. For a bride, these are major details that can cause headache and stress, but Shantay took them off my hands and executed with professionalism!! Her arrangements were better than I had envisioned and I wish I could have kept them all!! I highly recommend Shantay, and you will fall in love with her and her beautiful work!!
