Operating out of Peoria Heights, IL, Extreme DJs & Lighting is an event production company that provides DJ, Lighting, Draping, and Décor services for weddings. Our highly experienced event professionals will pay close attention to detail when preparing for your special celebration. the reception timeline and he was able to provide pictures and videos of similar venues to ours. We purchased uplighting for our venue in addition to the DJ services and am so glad we did! The extra lighting helped light up the room once it started get dark and made the atmosphere fun! Andrew was our DJ for our reception and he did an amazing job keeping our guests on the dance floor! He played a majority of the songs we had put on our list of songs we wanted to hear. Overall, a great team to work with and made our big day go smooth! My husband and I are ballroom dancers, so we had certain music requests and of course we wanted to also accommodate the younger crowd and our families. Buster did a great job of mixing all these songs and the dance floor was packed all night. We received several complements from our guests regarding the music that was selected. Buster was well organized which definitely helps to instill confidence and reduce stress on our end. He also handled the music for the wedding ceremony itself which was most convenient. (Approximately 6½ hours total). Our daughter and her husband were very happy with the service provided by Extreme DJs & Lighting and highly recommend them.

wedding back half an hour to cut out unnecessary time between the wedding and reception. Buster came to set up his equipment the day before while my family and I were decorating the reception hall. He offered helpful advice such as counting the chairs at each table after we were done decorating to prevent issues during the reception. No one at the venue hall recommended that. We found tables with less chairs than they were suppose to have which saved confusion for our guests. Buster allows you to make a playlist prior to the wedding for the music you’d like playing during the reception. I spent a lot of time working on that because I knew my guest like to dance. Buster took my playlist recommendations and blew me away! There were people on the dance floor the entire reception! Countless guests have mentioned to me how amazing our DJ was. I used the lighting service Buster provides but didn’t want the lights to be too flashy as I didn’t want it to bother my guests. We were able to meet in person to see examples of spot lighting, as well as pictures from many, many examples of reception lighting they’d done. The website’s customer portal was well organized, and kept us organized! We were able to choose songs we’d like played, as well as a do-not-play list. The actual wedding reception was amazing - the room was beautiful (we went with spot lighting along with the more “standard” up lighting and loved how it made each table look!), the music was the perfect volume both during dinner and during the reception, and Buster was a polished, faultless emcee as well as DJ. im you don't need a wedding planner! By the time of your wedding day, he knows all the details inside and out. He comes over prepared which puts me at ease. d within 90 days of our event. A pandemic is not something my now husband and I ever expected to have happen, and Buster was the ONLY vendor unwilling to give us our money back. He was immoral, unethical and only concerned about his own business. Buster was fine keeping our money (almost a thousand dollars) for doing absolutely nothing! Our venue was wonderful and would highly recommend booking with them, however Extreme DJs & Lighting are no longer in their recommended vendor packet.

Jordan, Covid-19 has unfortunately put a lot of couples in the terrible situation of deciding whether or not to lower their guest list and go through with their event or postpone in hopes that things will be back to normal by the new date. I ...
feel terrible for these couples and have done everything I can to help. From the beginning of the large gathering restrictions, I have offered our 2020 clients several options for rescheduling our services to another date for no additional fee and no additional deposit.
You were given these options as well and I was happy to let you to reschedule our services for your June wedding & reception to September for no additional fee or deposit. In mid-May you FALSELY claimed that your venue had cancelled all events for the year. You said you decided to get married in June in a private ceremony and cancel our services for the reception in September instead of rescheduling a second time. Then you had your dad call threatening me and insisting that you deserve to get your deposit back even though I had already provided a portion of the services you purchased. As I explained to him, in addition to holding specific services for your event date, the required deposit also helps pay for things like planning advice & assistance, online planning form access, music purchases, client calls & consultations along with other “behind the scenes” expenses such as administrative costs, scheduling software, equipment upkeep, music library updates, advertising, office lease, equipment storage, office supplies, liability insurance, vehicle insurance, utilities, and that’s just to name a few. A lot of effort goes into every one of our events long before we ever get to the actual day of the event. The labor required on the day of an event is only a small portion of the total labor and expenses involved in that event and it is because of this that the deposit is non-refundable. The contract you signed specifically states that the deposit is non-refundable for any services cancelled. This is nothing we try to hide and it’s a standard practice among most vendors in the wedding/event industry. I wish I could afford to give back deposits for clients that choose to cancel services rather than reschedule. Unfortunately, If I do that, then I likely won’t have a business by next year and thus, wouldn’t be able to provide services to all of my clients that have been willing to reschedule their wedding rather than cancel. I have an obligation to put them first and ensure the doors of my business stay open. I’m sorry I wasn’t able to do more for you.

Then when it came to the day of Buster did an amazing job using songs from our preferred play list but also hits that kept the dance floor moving. alf in advance and he had a family event came up so we offered for us to find someone else with being so early. The next DJ that we booked did not have the equipment for the outdoor Barn venue we had booked. Then, Clint with Party on Productions, gave us his word and we offered to do an electronic signature and same-day payment to secure our spot. He reassured us he would mail it to us and there would not be any issues, then booked somebody else in the meantime of us even getting it in the mail.. Even after we offered to pay in full up front and sign through email. My point in sharing this with you so you understand how it all worked out! Buster from the beginning was true to his word! He is honest and easy to work with and has everything needed to do any venue. He even did a timeline and help make the wedding process of planning smoothly, which is what our photographer promised us, and did not deliver! Our wedding was outside and reception inside an old barn with no air on 9-15-18 and was 90+ degrees! Somehow he managed to get people up and dancing ALL night! Buster has a lot of experience which was helpful because he made sure the dance floor was always full. I’ve been to other weddings before where no one was dancing which was a concern we initially had, however Buster was able to get a vibe and gauge what everyone liked and kept the dance floor packed. Also, Buster added the most elegant rope lighting which worked beautifully at the venue. music selection kept the dance floor packed the entire night. We even extended his service another hour since things were going so well. He kept things going with music and without having to MC the night. The pulsing light towers on the dance floor were also well worth the added cost. The quality of your DJ really can make or break your reception, and Buster made our night a huge success. We cannot thank him enough.

From the moment the music started until the very last song was played, the dance floor was full. Buster has a gift for reading the crowd and keeping them on the dance floor. Even when the pizzas and popcorn were brought out late in the evening, there was barely a shift from the floor to the food. Several guest commented that it was the best reception they'd ever been too, and we'd have to agree! While we didn't use this vendor's lighting services, I've seen receptions they've provided this service for, and they looked spectacular.

I never had an issue getting in contact with Buster. The DJ planning site that they offer is a fabulous tool. It allowed us to add songs to our reception playlist, add do not play songs, detailed timeline, (a necessity for your vendors), and a complete list of recommendations for your first dances (we needed this).
Buster was the only person to send me a friendly reminder of when my final payment was due! It was a month before the wedding and I had so much going on...that I honestly forgot! e did some awesome uplighting work at our venue, as well as spotlit each and every one of our floral arrangements. It made the flowers really "pop" and I am so glad that he suggest spotlighting - it's not something I would have thought of, but it made all the difference. After planning so much and putting so much detail into the decor, the lighting makes it all stand out that much more. My only complaint is that some requested songs weren't played - but only my husband and myself know that, so it wasn't an issue. I saw people dancing the night away that I've never seen dance before!
