Four months before my wedding in August, my (now) husband and I were looking into having a photobooth for our guests on the big day. Even though we had a wedding planner, we also decided to do some research ourselves. We used Yelp, Google, and ...made many phone calls. A few things we noticed about some of the companies we came across - the per hour fee was expensive, limitations as to what package you chose (certain backdrops not included, extra fee for social media capability, etc.), no written contract, and the quality of the photos were not what we were looking for. My husband and I are amateur photographers, so quality of photos is always a priority. We could see in some companies' samples that the lighting was off, creating unwanted shadows on peoples faces, it was dim, and color wasn't as vibrant.
We were very lucky that our wedding planner (Sweetest Love Events - check them out!) found EY Photobooth. The pricing was within our budget (very reasonable!), they were available for our day, plus their packages included so much - delivery, set up (might depend where your event is. My wedding was in Topanga, CA), the gold backdrop we wanted was included, EACH guest can get a hard copy of the photo strip (meaning, if there's a group of 20 in the photo, they will print out 20 strips if desired), and guests can text the photos to their phone. We made a special request to bring a few of our own props/signs (UCLA, Lakers, BBB, and faces of Lonzo Ball, Kobe Bryant, and Roger Federer), all of which Emmanuel said was completely okay to add to the table of props they would be bringing. The contract we signed was clear and easy to understand...no confusing verbiage! When it came to designing the photostrip, Emmanual sent a few drafts, we responded with some feedback, and he revised them within a matter of a day. All our communication was done via email and they are always so responsive in such a timely manner.
On the day of the wedding, we finally got to meet Emmanuel. He was pleasant, polite, was smiling, and was just so relaxed! He always offered to print out the strips or asked if guests wanted to text the photos to themselves, which I think a lot of people utilized. Emmanuel also seemed to be entertained by all the poses and the craziness that was happening in front of the camera, which was nice to see that he thoroughly enjoyed his job.
Literally the day after the wedding, Emmanuel sent us the link with all the photos and offered to extend the timeframe for when the link would expire, which we didn't need since we were so excited and downloaded all the photos right away. ALL the photos were so clear and crisp, with no weird lighting issues or discoloration. We are SO incredibly grateful for having EY Photobooth capture some awesome photos on our special day. We cannot thank them enough!
