Communication with the owner Kim was a consistent issue throughout the entire process. Every email, whether it was an initial inquiry or a question leading up to the wedding, took one to two weeks to get a response. No other vendor I worked with came close to that turnaround time.
The trial went beautifully, and I was really happy with my hair and makeup. But the night before my wedding, I found out my hair stylist was sick and someone new would be stepping in. I completely understand that these things can happen. The new stylist was capable, but I spent my wedding morning guiding her through what I wanted and my hair didn't turn out quite like it did at the trial.
The timeline was also an issue. Kim had provided a getting ready schedule and assured me I would not go last. I ended up last for makeup anyway, putting us 45 minutes behind and leaving my photographers and videographers waiting on me.
My makeup looked amazing and I was truly happy with it. I just wish the experience around it had matched the quality of the work.

That being said, our makeup artist Ally was amazing and a great fit for our vibe for the day. My trial with Lanie was good but on the day of the wedding, my hair took a lot of time and then the hair tie broke within 10 minutes of being in. Because I had just been sitting in the chair for so long, I opted for my friend to fix it. Two of the girls hair fell out, so she ended up fixing theirs as well.
Both artists were so nice and accommodating, but our timing got messed up somewhere along the line and I as the bride ended up being last which stressed most people out (surprisingly not me).

ooking my day-of needs and trial, but can be slow at returning emails/calls—do not be surprised if a week or longer goes by without a response. What stood out to me as odd was that you have to sign the contract before you even have your trial. And even after your artists are assigned, there is no where to check out their portfolios/previous work.

I've had my hair professionally styled before, but previous styles were always too tight and painful after a while. She worked with me to provide suggestions she thought would make me look especially beautiful through photos and our reception, and knocked it out of the park on my second makeup trial. I was definitely nervous since I had never really had professional hair and makeup services done, and this is kind of the biggest day of your life to date! But Kim eased all nervousness, and blew me away. My hair stayed looking great even after a full day of photos and dancing, and my makeup held up beautifully too!
