From the moment we confirmed, Dominique went above and beyond to address my concerns and questions. She even assisted me in finding a talented hairstylist for my big day. On the morning of the wedding, as the typical pre-ceremony chaos ensued, Dominique's positive energy and calming demeanor were a game-changer. Even though she traveled far, and planned on doing the both of us. She would not take any extra money from me and told me to not worry and to enjoy my day. Now let’s get to the good stuff.. when I say she did her thing.. she did her thing! I’ve never had makeup professionally done and I was very nervous. She made me look so beautiful and SO NATURAL looking. My husband was blown away when he saw me. He’s never seen me with makeup on (other than mascara) and he absolutely loved it. My lashes looked so natural looking, my lips were the perfect shade, and my face was flawless. I also did not get my eyebrows done before hand and she cleaned them up and really went the extra mile to make sure I absolutely loved everything about my makeup. I would recommend Dominique to anyone who wants to look their best. She was so professional and warm at the same time. I was so comfortable and felt like she truly wanted me to look my absolute best. Dominique will not disappoint you at all, she is truly amazing at what she does, and you can tell she loves doing it as well. 10/10 she was the best!

a more natural look. I spoke with 7 different make up artists and studios in the NYC and CT area. Dominique was professional and experienced, but also personable, flexible and really fun to talk to. I liked her immediately. Dominique did my make up trial in my NYC apartment, and I was thrilled. I looked like a glamorous version of myself, without being over the top. In addition to having a great time talking with her, Dominique asked to see my daily skin routine and products. She gave me a bunch of advice and product suggestions, which I immediately went out and bought and started using - 3 months later my skin has never looked better (and I can't believe Dominique was 1,000x better than my expensive NYC dermatologist!). On my wedding day, Dominique and her assistant came to my parents house and did my makeup, my bridal party, and close family. Dominique was courteous, on time, personable, and fun to be around. We all looked beautiful. Everyone was thrilled - we've all been in a ton of weddings and nothing came out as lovely and natural as Dominique's work. Looked great on my mom and my friends alike - she knew how to make each person look their best and not caked on. Makeup lasted all day and night, even getting sweaty on the dance floor. I would book Dominique again in a heartbeat, for other formal events or any occasion. I highly highly recommend Fab Faces by Dominique for any occasion! Stop looking - you found your make up artist!

I'd like to point out I once got make-up done by another makeup artist who sent me off with a touch-up lip gloss I could have gotten at Kohl's. Dominique sent me off with a full sized Make Up Forever lip liner and a Make up Forever lipstick. That's the type of detail you can expect from Dominique. As far as the application of the makeup: expect to look like yourself, not a cakey version of yourself. My husband prefers when I don't wear makeup (and I generally don't wear much), and I looked so NATURAL in every light (beaming sunlight at noon, then artificial light indoors, etc.). My photos were exceptional because I had close up shots and the makeup was not distracting (ever look at a portrait of a bride and get distracted by her makeup?) Dominique is a calm energy to have on your day, and she works SO quickly and is NEVER sloppy. The least you should do for yourself is book a trial with her.
