Georgia and Jen somehow managed to transform two middle-aged betrothed, one femme and one masc, into gorgeous teenagers. They were chatty and festive and absolutely transformed us — me into Liz Taylor and my partner into Nick Cave. They were reassuring, flexible, and creative, and the results were my beautiful updo and luminous face and my partner’s piecey 80s Goth hair and subtle evening of skin tone. Such a pleasure to work with!

Love love love Georgia! Highly recommend for wedding hair and makeup! Georgia was very personable and had great suggestions to help create the look you want for your day. Her products are of great quality. My makeup stayed on without much touching up and the curls in my hair didn’t fall flat the whole night! I will definitely go to her again for future events!

Face It Sugar is absolutely wonderful! Jen and Georgia did an amazing job working with me, my 5-person bridal party, my mother-in-law, and my mom. It was really important to me to find a HAMU team that (1) works with a variety of skin tones and styles and (2) can work with mature skin. Well, everyone looked BEAUTIFUL, and my mother, who never wears makeup, loved her look and kept her falsies on all day! From a logistical perspective, the team came 3 minutes early and finished ahead of schedule, which was amazing. They were also lovely to chat with and kept us (ok, mainly me, the bride) calm, upbeat, and happy all wedding day. And as a very sweaty gal, my hair and makeup still looked wonderful at the end of the night! Highly recommend working with Face It Sugar for all of your engagement and wedding needs.

This review is so overdue! I first booked Jen back in 2018 when I optimistically thought my wedding was happening in 2020. Jen is nothing short of amazing. She did my hair+makeup for my engagement pictures which is when I realized I needed her for my hair and makeup for our wedding. I hadn’t seen Jen since our engagement pictures because of Covid, and came back to see her for a trial in August 2020. It was like seeing a friend. Jen has always been friendly, professional, and the best ever. At our wedding I forgot my hair piece, and she found me some flowers to use in its place. I also probably cried no less than three times while getting my makeup done because it rained that morning. It was middle of summer, 80 degrees the day before, with 0 change of rain, and it was our third wedding date after postponing so I was a little emotional. Jen talked me down, made me laugh, and wouldn’t let anyone mention rain the duration of the day. It ended up not raining again, but I can’t explain how much I appreciate Jen both for how she is as a person and for her hair+makeup skills. I love how she did my hair+makeup, and ended up recommending her to my new SIL, who also loved her and used her at her wedding. Jen did my hair+makeup there, as well, and it was the best again. I can’t recommend Jen and Georgia enough. They’re both so sweet and funny. Their little salon is also super cute! I’m already keeping my eyes open for their next boudoir shoot they do there because it sounds like so much fun

Jen & Georgia were amazing makeup and hair artists! I've booked them from friend's recommendation and they are just phenomenal! They arrived early, have all their tools ready, set up the entire area and were flexible with suite space, they brought their own power converter to ensure power stability from all their hot tools, finished all of my ladies hair and makeup early even when one of my bridesmaid were late! They were a joy to talk to and made me feel at ease the whole time, now that's a special skill! I can't recommend them enough! Thank you Jen & Georgia!!!

I first met Georgia and Jen when they did hair and makeup for my sister's wedding in Huntington Beach. They did such a great job with my sister, myself and all of her bridesmaids that I flew them out to Florida for my wedding. They had a hefty task with a ton of girls needing hair and makeup in a small amount of time. They were able to pull it off and everyone looked stunning. I'd highly recommend Face It Sugar for any event. Side note - their makeup stays on through a night of dancing!

Georgia and Jen were fantastic! Georgia did my hair/makeup trial, and she really understood the look I was going for even though I didn't know how to tell her what I wanted (I don't wear makeup and rarely do anything with my hair). She and Jen arrived right on time on the wedding day, and they finished exactly when they said they would. My bridesmaids, my mom, and my MIL all got their hair and makeup done, too, and we all looked so beautiful. Thank you, Georgia and Jen!

Georgia was super fun to work with and my hair & make up turned out perfectly for my wedding. I have very fine/thin hair but Georgia made it look great and the curls stayed put until the end of the night. Georgia was easy to work with and helped make my vague idea of how I wanted to look come together into a cohesive look.

Seriously such talented ladies. I had them do hair and makeup for the rehearsal and the wedding! I have suggested them to everyone I know getting married. Super professional and very nice group! :)

I had the pleasure of working with Georgia for my 2 weddings. She is the best! Great energy, very talented, got along with my crew perfectly, and extremely efficient. I looked like myself on my wedding day, just enhanced. Which is exactly what I wanted. I loved Georgia (and her work) so much, I booked her for my second wedding, as well! What a gem =)!

I had my makeup done by Jen when i had my engagement photos. I told her i want a simple makeup since our photo shoot is at the beach. And she got it prefectly as i want it! My makeup was so perfect! Aside from that, i also loved what she did to my hair, it lasted the whole day during our photo shoot. And their price is also affordable... i highly recommend this place for any event.

I was so lucky to have found Georgia and Jen for my wedding! I met with Georgia to do a trial (which I highly recommend), and she really put me at ease about my "look" for my hair and makeup on my wedding day. She tried out a few different things to make sure I was happy with everything. The day of the wedding, they were prompt and professional and friendly. Not to mention they did an INCREDIBLE job on everyone's hair and makeup. I really can't say enough about them. I was so happy with how I looked in person and in the pictures! They're the best!

As a nervous bride who doesn't typically do much with my hair and make up on a day to day basis, Georgia walked me through each step making sure that I knew what she was doing and seeing if I was okay. She is truly amazing and she's an awesome human being to be around. Would highly recommend.

Georgia and Elaine were fantastic! I was really nervous about hair and makeup, because I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted, but Georgia (who did my hair and makeup) made the process so easy and stress free. When we did the hair and makeup trial, she did it in "steps" so I could compare lighter/heavier makeup and cleaner/messier hair. It was so helpful and put my mind totally at ease. On the day of the wedding, they showed up early so they could set up and be ready to go the promised time. They were total pros and my entire bridal party looked like a million bucks! They even humored one of my bridesmaids who had not wanted to get her makeup done, but wanted eyelashes once she saw all of us with ours. I have never felt more beautiful in my whole life and am SO glad I found Face it Sugar!

These women are amazing! They listened and made my hair and makeup exactly how I pictured it in my head. I usually don't wear much makeup and was concerned that I wouldn't look or feel like myself on my wedding day. They created an incredibly natural looking look for me that highlighted my attributes and made me feel like the most beautiful version of me. They made my bridesmaids look amazing and were so much fun to work with. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!
