I worked with Jessy for my bridal hair trial and day-of style, and I couldn't have been happier with the outcome! I have lots of long hair, some of which is stubborn, but Jessy was able to get it to stay in beautiful curls, and she even learned how to do a Celtic knot design in hair! I didn't even think to ask about it, but I showed up on the day of and we did it! It matched the theme of our wedding and looked great with my overall style. Aveda Face Value also did hair and makeup for two of my bridesmaids and makeup for my mother-in-law, and each service was magnificent. We're so pleased with the outcome =)

Jessie and her team were excellent. Jessie prepared the bride's hair and make-up and she did a stunning job. Her team did an outstanding job on the bridesmaids and the mother of the bride. They were organized and on time for the special day. The arrived at our location ready to go!! Highly recommend! You will not be disappointed!

Jessie & her team were amazing! Between me, my mom, and 7 girls they were able to rock out all of our hair & makeup in just a few hours! The makeup was natural looking and beautiful, and the hair was just stunning! I especially loved my bridal hair, it’s what I had always envisioned! Jesse and her team were professional and so sweet. We had a blast at the salon getting ready & they did such a great job!

The wonderful ladies at Face Value Salon went above and beyond for my wedding! They were flexible, creative, and professional. I got my very curly hair cut there all throughout college, and when my (now) husband and I decided to get married in our college town, I knew exactly who to turn to for my hair and makeup needs. Jessica worked with me for my bridal hair and makeup test. She made sure I was pleased with every detail, worked with some of my personal makeup, and had me walk around in different lighting to make sure everything was perfect! She mixed a perfect shade of airbrush foundation and bought individual lashes to use on the wedding day, since I did not love the strip she used for the test. She took notes of all the shades she used so the makeup would be consistent for the wedding. On my wedding day, she took care to make sure my curls were in place and looked soft, while still making sure they would stand up to the July heat and humidity. One of the main reasons I chose Face Value salon for my bridesmaids was because they are able to create natural, durable makeup looks that suit each woman. So many of the makeup artists I looked at in the Lynchburg/Charlottesville area seemed to create the same look on every member of the bridal party. Face Value, however, used a variety of techniques and each of my girls got elegant, personalized makeup and/or hair looks. They opened the salon early for us, which I just am so grateful for! The bridesmaids who did not get both hair and makeup were able to use the mirrors to finish their looks while the others were being attended to. We were in and out on time and it was a great way to start the day! Thank you, Face Value team!

We loved working with the amazing team at Face Value Old Trail for our wedding party's hair. My husband and I did not have anything done to our hair (although we are both clients at the Face Value barbershop!) but our female attendants and our moms had their hair done and loved it. From blow-outs to full updos, everyone was able to get exactly what they wanted in a fun and relaxing environment. We were able to bring in champagne and breakfast snacks and the FV team made it a festive and exciting morning. They were so flexible in the scheduling process too, which I really appreciated. I highly recommend them for a low-drama, high-beauty, super-fun hair experience!

Lucinda and the whole staff were a pleasure to work with. Lucinda is a hoot, so fun to talk to, and above all, a very competent and talented hair and makeup artist. Also I must commend Melissa at the front desk for the professional way she handled the appointment-making, payment, etc. I loved the way my hair and makeup looked. I was worried that I had to do something dramatic with the makeup because it was my wedding day and I should do something out of the ordinary, but she showed me that a beautiful, fresh, classic, not too done up look is the best way to go. My three bridesmaids, my mom, my husband's mom, and my husband's aunt all loved the way they looked and we had a great time at the salon. They were patient and understanding when one of my bridesmaids asked for a "re-do" a couple times. Lucinda just told us "I work for you, so YOU should be happy with what you get" and we were definitely happy. If I lived closer to Charlottesville I'd probably even get my haircut there since it's a Ouidad salon and I have curly hair! I'd definitely recommend this salon.

Lucinda is AMAZING. My wedding was the day after the derecho, a terrible storm that took down trees, powerlines, cell phone towers and more. I made my way to the salon to get my hair done, unsure of what to expect, and like everything in the area they had no power. Lucinda met me in the front of the salon, reassured me and then took me to a nearby assisted living facility that had emergency power. Despite my wet hair (No dryer after my cold morning shower!) she made me look BEAUTIFUL, and we had fun in the empty apartment as she did the hair for my mom and a bridesmaid as well. My hair held up throughout the rest of the very hot day, and my hair never holds shape. My pictures were great, and the story was fun too! If you want to be sure that through whatever sort of weather, you will have beautiful hair for your big day, be sure to give Lucinda a call. You won't regret it.
