I absolutely loved having Faces of Virtue for my hair and makeup for my wedding as well as hair and makeup for my bridesmaids!! I really wanted to look beautiful but also still maintain a natural look for my wedding and my bridesmaids wanted a more glam look, and they were able to accommodate and absolutely nail both! I loved my hair and makeup trial too - I felt heard and they accommodated me last minute and made the changes that I wanted for my look. I also appreciated their input which led to more of what I wanted! Dee was so friendly and so easy to work with as well as her entire team. They were able to work with all skin complexions and hair types for me and my bridesmaids which I greatly appreciated as well. Also, my hair and makeup lasted THE WHOLE DAY!!! And we had our wedding ceremony outside in August in Louisiana.....aka VERY HOT! 10/10 would recommend and they absolutely nailed it! Thanks to Dee and her team!

I had an appointment for bridal trial makeup and I was very disappointed. Not only was the makeup artist late she charged me $200 for a trial when our original agreement was $100. Charging $200 for a trial is steep especially since she worked on the makeup for 45 minutes to an hour. I might have understood if the makeup ended up being amazing but I looked horrible. The correct shade wasn't used and my skin looked dry and aged. The original invoice sent to me quoted $100 for the trial. However, she charged me $200 after seeing my displeasure with the work and told me the $100 quote was actually for a hair consultation; a clear scam on their part. I've done 3 other consultations in New Orleans and no one else charged close to $200. This was by far the most unprofessional experience I've had. I've attached photos of our original agreement, as well as before and after photos of what the makeup looked like vs. what I looked like after wiping it off. I would not recommend Faces of Virtue to any bride looking for a positive and professional experience.

If there was an option for 12/10 stars, we'd give it! Dee came to our (eloping daughter's) hotel early in the morning to work M-A-G-I-C off of nothing more than some photos off her vision board. Our daughter looked and felt beautiful! While it was highly unusual to do wedding hair/makeup without an in-person consultation, you'd never know that by the result!!

I can not say enough good things about Dee and her team at Faces of Virtue!! They were such a pleasure to work with! Dee is so kind, funny and understanding of the direction. I used them for my makeup and hair for my April wedding and the results were just stunning 😍. I wanted to look like myself for the big day just of course nicer and the results they delivered were out of this world! Can’t wait to work with them any other chance I get ❤️!

Since I did change my final hair style before the wedding, the hair that I selected for extensions wasn't correct for the pictures I provided which I wish I would have known about the different textures, etc. BUT I needed to trust the artists and didn't feel as comfortable with my look until I had everything put together with the hair and makeup; and eventually, with the wedding dress, jewelry, etc. I want to thank the artists for making me look exquisite and for working with what they had to make the final look AMAZING!

Faces of Virture was highly recommend by our officiant (Ranna with Let’s Elope New Orleans) and they didn’t disappoint me one bit. I shared my vision with Dee and Kyra showed up and executed my vision with no concerns. She was so professional and made sure I was comfortable with every step. On top of that I owe her a huge thank you for her patience in the mist of almost completing my make up I received a text message from my fifteen year son expressing his happiness for me, etc. and the tears started to roll like a waterfall, but she remained claim and gave me a moment to get myself together and went right back and finished what she already did with no frustration or unkind words. Ms. Dee and her team are truly a gifted bunch. After my trial with her for my wedding, there was no way I want going to book her for my wedding. She had such a welcoming personality, very pleasant and very talented. My bridal party and I felt like Queens on my wedding day 11.11.22 The airbrush method they used, had us ask looking do natural, our make up stayed on all night. Our hair styles looked amazing and we received exactly what we asked for. Thank you 😊

Latoya was the makeup artist who did my hair and makeup...she arrived early and came extremely prepared. She was kind, professional, and incredibly talented. My makeup was good, but my hair was INCREDIBLE. Latoya took all of my Pinterest inspirations and made my hair even better than I could have asked for in my wildest dreams. My hairstyle was intricate, but it held up perfectly all night and truly felt like a work of art. Faces of Virtue provided their services in my suite at the Four Points and was reasonably priced. Highly recommend!

As a bride that lives out of state and had a wide range of nationalities for bridesmaids, it was very important that I found a hair & makeup artist that could do it all. Working with Faces of Virtue was easy. They do the hair and makeup for the New Orleans sports teams and I loved all their work. Dee was able to coordinate my trials with the times I was going to be in New Orleans. On the day of the wedding, everyone was on time, and we had a blast getting ready. I even decided to curl my hair instead of the natural hair I was going to do because the heat was making it shrink so much. The hair stylist rolled with it and I looked stunning for my day! My mom and bridesmaids also looked and felt stunning as well. If you need someone that can do it all and are organized, go with them. You won't be disappointed!

Dee and her team were absolutely incredible. We had hair/makeup done for around 8 ladies and every single person was pleased with their hair and makeup which is no small feat for a group of women with very different skin tones and hair types. When it came to my own bridal hair and make-up I was able to do a trial beforehand. When it came to what I was envisioning for hair/make-up the day of my wedding I had a really specific vision and Dee and her team were incredibly patient and gracious with helping to refine the look until it was perfect, which it absolutely was the day of the wedding. After my first hair/make-up trial I reached out to Dee because there were certain things I was not completely happy with and she was willing to set up a phone call to discuss in detail what needed to be adjusted. I was able to do a second hair/make-up trial with Dee the month before our wedding and felt like we were one step closer to perfecting the look. After this second trial I reached out via email to Dee about things I wanted changed and it was completely clear to me that she read through this email carefully and made note of all these things the day of the wedding and she was able to nail the perfect look. I have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day and that is absolutely because of the stunning work Dee and her team did. I really appreciated Dee's patience with me. As a person who tends to have type A tendencies and someone who has never really let anyone else do my hair/make-up I was nervous to put my trust in someone else for such a big day but Dee was patient, kind, and reassuring that we would nail the look which I am so grateful for. Dee's team was incredible as well and all my bridesmaids/family members could not stop gushing about how beautiful they felt. They blew me away with their efficiency. We were able to do hair/make-up for around 9 ladies in around 3 hours. It never felt rushed or hurried at any point but I am so grateful Dee could bring a large team because this meant we did not have to have a very early start time. My only critique is that the week of the wedding it was hard to connect with Dee (I think she may have been at a conference though) and we did not get our schedule for day of hair/make-up until three days before the wedding. This stressed me out a bit but overall the day ended up going perfectly and all our hair/make-up looked stunning in real-life and in photos. I will also say that WOW this hair and makeup will last all day. We were out after partying until 2 AM and my hair/make-up looked as flawless as it did at the start of the day. If you're looking for hair and makeup in the NOLA area you won't find anyone better than Faces of Virtue! These ladies are phenomenal at what they do, put your trust in them!!

Dee and her team were so GREAT! I was a bit nervous about the hair and makeup part because my daily look is low maintenance hairdos and subtle makeup/no makeup look but they were incredible. They listened to my requests and incorporated the style of my wedding to create a beautiful hair/makeup look! I'm convinced I was looking my absolute best on my wedding day!

Dee and Kyra did a phenomenal job on my wedding makeup! They also did my mom and SIL's makeup for the big day, and after ~8 hours of crying, second lining, and dancing you would not believe how fresh everything still looked. They really devote a lot of love to their craft and they are keen to make your day perfect - it was a pleasure working with them both!

I had a consultation the day before my wedding and makeup done for my wedding. Even though my consultation and wedding day makeup was done by two different artists I loved the outcome of both. The only reason why I couldn't give them 5 stars was because on the day of the wedding, the makeup artist was a bit late for call time and the airbrush gun to apply the makeup wasn't charged. Those two events put me a bit behind for my ceremony, so I ended up running late. But the makeup for my ceremony was GORGEOUS!!! I've never felt so pretty before! I loved the lashes Kira used, they felt weightless, which was always a problem for me when it came to wearing lashes in the past. I got sooo many compliments on the makeup after the wedding! The foundation, for the most part, managed to stay all day. There was some running from my forehead, but it was really hot, it was an outdoor ceremony, and I sweat easily. I would definitely book them again if I were to ever need my makeup done in New Orleans!

TLDR: Hire Dee and her team, period. You will not be disappointed! I was really nervous about the concept of hair and makeup for my wedding; I have very thin hair and lashes that are insecurities at times, I had never professionally got my makeup done, and my bridesmaids had all different types of hair/skin tones. So I was worried about how to navigate the whole process with all these moving parts. I hired Dee because my other vendors (she is very well known in the Nola wedding vendor community) who recommended her said she was excellent; after seeing her work on instagram and their trust in her, it was enough for me to book her. Little did I know Dee's team was going to go above and beyond for me and my bridesmaids. After speaking on the phone with Dee, she walked me through how the day would work, asking about any inspiration I had (I didn't have a lot to go off of, I just wanted a natural but elevated look so that me and my bridesmaids still felt like ourselves!). What I learned through this process is that Dee and her team are true artists; they don't need a lot of direction to execute on a stunning look based on the wedding / dress vision. Not having to provide a lot of direction was exactly what I wanted, and Dee was the perfect vendor for that because she can come up with incredible looks based on the environment and people around her with little to no prep time. I was also so impressed by how quickly everything was done! Her team was punctual and paid attention to detail, you can tell that professionalism is their top priority. They really connected with each of us to make sure we had looks that felt good to us and fit the wedding colors/vibe. Dee also made me feel really comfortable despite my insecurities about my hair/lashes; she actually complimented and validated me for my beauty. I really felt that Dee's approach to hair and makeup art is that they are tools to elevate your natural beauty, not cover up flaws. Despite my self consciousness, Dee made me feel confident and beautiful and I didn't worry about anything of it. My husband was also stunned! Beyond Dee's professionalism, she's also one of the kindest and most down to earth people; she's calm, cool and collected, but also made me laugh and kept it all light hearted, reassuring me about how great this day was going to go. The *only* small qualm I had is that me and my bridesmaids were not given the correct lip color to re-apply before the ceremony, but it honestly didn't matter because our makeup lasted all day/night! Just something to double check incase! The makeup was so good that it lasted even though I accidentally sprayed champagne in my face before the ceremony (lol) and through my many happy tears the day of (she taught me different techniques to use to make the makeup last too! Just another plus on how well educated and knowledgeable Dee and her team are). I loved Dee and her team so much, if you're looking for a professional, punctual, and quality team, look no further than Dee and the Faces of Virtue team. Dee is the best!

I loved Dee and her team so much that I wish I could keep them in my pocket for when I need them. They are complete professionals, my entire wedding party was beyond pleased with the way they looked and everyone kept telling me throughout the night that I looked like a Hollywood starlet. I felt regret to take the makeup off that night. Faces of Virtue was the luckiest Google search I every made.

I hired Dee + FoV before the pandemic hit for our wedding in May 2020. Instantly loved Dee and how she was able to work with my high maintenance self. I have legitimately never liked the way my makeup has been done and when I told Dee - she was so kind and made me feel heard in my preferences and truly took note of what I wanted. Anyway, the pandemic hit and I met someone who specialized in only indian weddings from out of state who charged >10x what FoV was charging me and I ended up hiring her to do my makeup in our post pandemic wedding. HUGE MISTAKE. Dee was of course not thrilled with my decision but was really graceful in agreeing to continue to do bridal party makeup. On top of that, the day before my wedding at my sangeet (a huge part of an indian wedding) - my new makeup artist couldn't get in because of flight cancellations. I called Dee on Friday morning and told her my dilemma and she showed up, no questions asked, even though we didn't have her contracted for anything that night. Let me just tell you - I ended up not liking my makeup for the wedding and reception (the makeup that I paid thousands of dollars for) but I LOVED what Dee and her team did for my sangeet. Honestly that was first time I've ever liked the way my makeup has been done. The fact that Dee and her team came through last minute , did an incredible job on me for my sangeet and the bridal party for the actual wedding, and were just super fun to be around the whole time just amazes me about this company. I have nothing but the highest regard for them and I honestly think nobody can go wrong by hiring this team. I hope that FoV becomes the go-to indian bridal makeup artist but beyond that, I think their professionalism , their work, and their fun demeanor makes them perfect for any bride both in and out of New Orleans.

THE BEST OF THE BEST. If you want to feel and look like you're about to walk the red carpet at the Oscars then hire Dee and her team!!! Dee and her team made everyone in our wedding party look and feel gorgeous (including my grandmas who rarely wear any makeup). She's also a PRO at applying eyelashes which for me can be a struggle. Have never felt prettier and love Dee!

What can I say about Dee & her team!! I have never felt more beautiful then on my wedding day and it’s all because of her! When searching for a makeup artist for my wedding I was very picky as I don’t usually wear a lot of makeup and didn’t want to look unrecognizable on my wedding day…when I read “we don’t do makeovers we do enhancements” I knew I was in good hands! Everyone kept complementing my makeup and used the word “stunning” —I’m forever grateful! Not only did I feel like a Queen but she took care of my mom and sister, who kept staring at themselves in the mirror afterwards! 10/10 recommended!! Very professional & kind!

For many reasons, I was so nervous about finding the right person to help me with hair and makeup for my wedding. For one, I don't wear makeup and never style my hair, so the whole concept of hair and makeup is a bit foreign and intimidating to me. I'd also been a bridesmaid in so many weddings where, at the end of hair + makeup, when I looked in the mirror, I didn't recognize myself and felt so uncomfortable in my skin. For my wedding, my partner and I were originally supposed to get married in October of 2020, but had to cancel due to the pandemic. We then decided to reschedule for November 2021, making the very difficult decision to have only ourselves and our doggie as guests and to LIVEstream the ceremony for our friends and family to watch from around the world. This meant that everything would be viewed by guests via cameras, which put extra pressure on getting the hair and makeup just right so that I felt comfortable and beautiful in my own skin so as to have the confidence to be on camera for a wedding that was LIVEstreamed for over an hour. Also, without my friends and family getting ready with me, whoever I hired for this role would be my main and possibly only interaction ahead of my wedding ceremony, so this person's energy was crucial. Enter Dee. When I first spoke with Dee, explaining some of my fears, she put me at instant ease. Dee and her team at Faces of Virtue believe in elevating a person's innate beauty, rather than altering, and after meeting Dee, I can say that this notion of celebrating just who a person is, inside and out, is her superpower. As a person, Dee is grounded, authentic, and radiates warmth. And as a hair and makeup artist, she is the most talented I have ever met. I trusted her instantly and could not have dreamed up a more perfect look for my wedding day. I felt so beautiful, but also felt completely myself, which is the mark of an artist who truly knows their craft and can help people radiate their most authentic and beautiful self. Dee and her team are incredible and the looks that they created for my wedding party were so perfect. Prior to the big day, Dee checked in on what looks we wanted and sent an extremely helpful timeline on when everyone was getting their hair/makeup done and which artist was assigned to which bridesmaid. Dee and her team are the absolute best. Because of covid, I chose not to fly in and check them out. I went in blindly and hoped/prayed for the best. I could NOT have asked for a better team for my girls and I. I was worried about looking ashy, dark, or orange. Dee put all my worries to rest. I was sleep highly concerned about my hair because of the 4c texture. LISTENNNNNNNN, they did the thing. I felt like royalty and looked like a Queen. I'm very grateful for FOV. Dee and her team provided exceptional service for my wedding day. My mother in law almost cried after getting her hair and makeup done. As a darker hued black woman she's had difficulty with makeup artist matching her skin. Faces of Virtue executed and exceeded expectations. It was a very touching moment. They had my mother saying she was a savage and my MIL sayin she was bad and bougie. My mother, MIL and bridesmaids were utterly gorgeous. I had a minor snafu with the correct lipstick matching but my overall makeup and hair went above and beyond my expectations. My look lasted all day, flawlessly, despite the many kisses to my groom and the Louisiana summer humidity. The word of the day to describe me was stunning. I would recommend Faces of Virtue to anyone looking for a one stop shop. Dee and her team are efficient and wonderful to work with!

FOV is the top bridal makeup studio in South!!! The way Mrs. Dee made me feel like a queen on my special day is priceless!!! Her and her team are the fastest! They delivered and exceeded my expectations!! I am forever grateful!

Dee and her team of professionals are so easy and do the best work hands down. Before the wedding, Dee was super easy to work with when handing deposit and she even had a full itinerary ready as soon as I got my final numbers into her. This made it super easy to make sure all my ladies were there. LaToya was in charge on my wedding day and she made sure everyone stayed on scheduled. My bridesmaids all have different styles and preferences when it comes to hair and make up and they listen to exactly what they wanted. As for myself, LaToya personally did my hair and make and ensured that I wanted exactly what I wanted and that it would last all day/night. After a night full of dancing, drinking, and running around. My face was still beat and my hair still looked amazing. Highly, highly recommend for large parties and flawless long lasting hair and make up!

Let me just start by saying Dee is super patient! I usually do my own makeup so I was having a hard time deciding on a makeup artist for my wedding. We communicated for over a month before I finally made a decision. I am so happy that I chose to work with FOV for my wedding. The artists arrived at my bridal suite timely and there was several artists working with my large group. It was like an assembly line. Once my bridal party was finishing up, Dee arrived to do my makeup. At this point, I was frazzled from such a long day and my anxiety level was through the roof. Dee closed the door to the bedroom, turned on the music, and got to work. By the time we finished, I was calm and ready to get married. Everyone’s makeup and as amazing and lasted throughout the night. Also, FOV worked in sync with my other vendors so everything went smoothly in my suite.

Dee and her team were awesome. As someone who never wears makeup, I was totally daunted by how to choose someone for my wedding. During my consultation, Dee made me feel heard and reassured. She asked lots of questions about how I wanted to feel and my overall look, made sure I was comfortable with the options, and was super kind to my mom and me. On the day of the wedding, Dee's team were quick but not hurried. They treated each of my bridesmaids like they were the most important person, and expertly matched the skin tones of my girls (chocolate to ivory). They had fun with us while we were getting ready and made the best of our little hotel space. 2 of my girls also got their hair done and it looked fantastic. Our make-up was beautiful all night. No running, no smudging, no one looked oily - even in the late-night pictures. Definitely choose Faces of Virtue!

When you want to have your face beat for any occasion, you have to go with the best! Dee and her team are AMAZING and really work magic! I used her for my wedding, and she really delivered and made me look so pretty and feel beautiful. I had my consult with Dee maybe 8 months prior, and told her the “look” I was going for. She was awesome with the consult and giving me ideas and suggestions in preparation for the big day. I have gotten my make professionally done before, but Dee definitely has the midas touch when it comes to making someone look absolutely gorgeous and feeling like a million bucks! On the day of, she was easy to work with and I am so happy I went with her because it was definitely money well spent!! I also had my hair styled by Kayla, who had to work a miracle on my mane! But she did amazing, and I honestly wouldn’t trust myself with anyone else. Highly recommend Dee and her team at FOV for all your wedding and special event needs. But act quickly, as Dee and her team book up fast!

Dee and the young lady she brought to do hair were great! I apologize for not remembering her name, but it's been 5 months since my wedding and this review was way overdue! It was only my mom and I, and my mom can be....picky, so their pleasantness, patience and just positive attitude throughout were greatly appreciated. I wanted a natural look that held up throughout the night and mission accomplished. My head didn't hurt because my hair was too tight and my makeup was amazing even at the end of the night. The pricing was reasonable and I was very happy with the services!

I know their tagline says that they like to play a small role in the big day, but Ms. Dee and her team were so much more than that. Everyone looked and felt absolutely BEAUTIFUL, and they brought such spunk, fun, and ease to the getting ready portion of the day. I was also blown away by how professional and dedicated the staff is, as well as how smoothly everything ran, how they were easily able to style such a diverse group of women, and just how special they made us all feel. They also worked with me personally to develop the most perfect hair and makeup looks from the moment that I initially contacted them, all the way through to the big day. I just can't say enough about how amazing these ladies are! I would definitely recommend them to anyone who mentions makeup and hair for any occasion (and will probably find excuses to reach out for myself again as well), but brides especially—they will definitely enhance the beauty of your already beautiful big day!

My husband and I traveled from Virginia Beach to New Orleans to our destination wedding. If I could give this organization zero stars then I would. I regret my decision to the fullest. The owner was very easy to reach in the beginning when she took my $200 deposit, and had me sign a contract. It seemed promising. After a few weeks she got harder and harder to reach. When I did reach her she sounded annoyed very often. It would take her days to call back as well. She seemed to tell extravagant lies as to why she could not send me a updated invoice or contract with my desired changes listed. This company created a great amount of unwanted stress. The day of arrival, her crew walked in and I immediately noticed the judgmental faces she continued to make. She walks In and within five minutes she grabs a piece of paper towel and wipes the table while presenting a look of disgust in her face. . She did not even give me a chance to clean up the area. Not to mention it was 8 am and I had them meet up at my families Airbnb. I remained professional because we had a contract that I was afraid to break the morning of my wedding day. Needles to say, we needed them. My family, and this crew did not get along because of the defensive, and judgmental attitude they portrayed up front. My bridesmaids and maid of honor were not a huge fan of their hair or makeup and we were afraid to speak up because of the aggressiveness of this crew. We paid them nearly $900 just to feel judged and inferior to them. We felt the need to say that we liked their work just because of the passive aggressive comments they made through out morning. Such as and I quote: “Don’t say what “she” said when you look in the mirror” when I’m finished. Booking this company is the only thing I regret about my entire wedding day. If you want unprofessionalism, added stress and anxiety, and rude comments to your family then book this company.

I cannot say enough about the way Dee worked her magic with me and my sister. she showed up having never met us ready to go. I don't think I've ever seen makeup so flawless. It brought my husband to tears as his "tomboy was transformed into a princess". She made sure to check with what my vision was and turned it into reality. I only wish I was in the area to have her services on a regular basis. She's great at what she does.

Bringing out the Most Beautiful side of You: I do not even know where to begin! I will begin from the BEGINNING...since I was getting married in the Big Easy, I was looking for someone who was not only from New Orleans, yet also had that relaxed easy going spirit. Mrs. Dee was JUST what I was looking for. On our first meeting she was soooo relaxing, accommodating and willing to ensure that I not only looked beautiful, but I felt beautiful. During my consultation, we talked, we laughed, we prayed, we just connected and I knew she and her staff were for me. It also didn't hurt that I could've kept my makeup on for another two days with it still looking fresh....however that's just not sanitary! LOL I loved her so much that I introduced her to my wedding planner...she's THAT good you wanna share!! Upon arrival on my wedding day, Mrs. Dee's team came ready to WORK!! The ladies were punctual, professional and again what was most important to me...they were relaxing. The wedding day can be a bit stressful...people want to complain, bridesmaids running late....and yet Mrs. Dee and her staff went with the flow and had us smiling and laughing the entire time!! Upon leaving, they cleaned everything so that my suite was how they found it and I didn't have to cleanup when I got back to my room that evening. My bridal party is STILL raving on how gorgeous they looked!! They made sure to fit the style of the person so that they were comfortable with their makeup...this is BIG as some of my ladies don't really wear makeup! With that I thought it was AWESOME that no one wanted to wash their face the next morning...LOL!!! Loved working with Faces of Virtue! LaToya was wonderful! Her work was impeccable and she managed to make my mom feel so comfortable (I warned her she can be feisty! lol) and beautiful. She even touched up my mother-in-law’s makeup free of charge before she headed out the door. We’re all different complexions and she handled each of us beautifully.

Where do I begin?! I initially came across Faces of Virtue on Instagram and was nothing short of impressed by their portfolio. From booking to delivery FOV totally nailed the process! Booking was straight-forward and details were thoroughly explained. By the time I met Mrs. Dee and her team, I felt like I'd known them for years. The team totally nailed my bridal look and wow'd me with the bridesmaids. We all looked ahhh-mazing! There are a million amazing things I can say about Dee and her team at Faces of virtue. Let me start by saying they are so accommodating. I forgot to schedule makeup appointments for my engagement and bridal photos. Dee squeezed me into her schedule each time, and did an amazing job on my makeup. Faces of Virtue was amazing. After my initial consultation with Dee I knew that I made the right choice booking them. The ladies arrived on time to do make-up for our mothers and bridal party and then Dee came later just to do my make-up. We all looked amazing; like ourselves but enhanced. Dee was incredibly sweet throughout the entire process. Toya styled my hair as well as my bridesmaids and I couldn't be more pleased. Our hair held up all day in the New Orleans humidity. Toya was on time and very professional. FOV will be my forever stylists when I'm in New Orleans.

I cannot say enough about Dee and her crew at Faces of Virtue. She did me, 6 bridesmaids, and the MOB and MOG for my wedding this December. They were prompt, professional, and organized but still felt like a group of good friends getting ready together for a big event. I am super picky about makeup but of all the things I had to worry about on my wedding day, my makeup was not one of them. I knew my makeup and all the other ladies makeup was on point and flawless. Trust me you cannot go wrong with Dee, they are amazing and I would recommend them to everyone. I know where I will go for any future makeup needs, they are awesome!!!
