We cannot express how beyond our expectations he exceeded. The use of video drones, cameras and outdoor photoshoots, they captured every moment perfectly. ortable with Gil. Next was the engagement shoot where we met Brian and he was great. He made it easy and comfortable for us to take photos as neither of us have ever done a photo shoot. The day of the wedding went great. They were at the hotel early. When we got to the church they were already setup and ready to roll. They were dressed nice and looked very professional. At the reception they got the majority of our photos done before cocktail hour and they made a great time out of it. We asked for the rest of the night to be candid photos and they were happy to blend in and they did an amazing job. They encouraged us to go back out for a little to do a night time photo in the garden and we are glad they did because they came out awesome! The quality of there work is really great. The little details in all their work was excellent and they actually cared about what you wanted out of their work. We would highly recommend using them for your wedding.

I wanted them to shoot our wedding. We had our minds set on doing our engagement shoot in Ithaca, and Gil was very willing to travel for it. The pictures turned out amazing and we had an absolute blast. Our wedding day went off without a hitch! Gil, Anthony, and Alex were incredible to work with and made family portraits go so smoothly. We even had time to spare before the ceremony started! We had our photo proofs and edited video and trailer back within three weeks of the wedding and they all turned out absolutely amazing. I can’t stop scrolling thru them and love the photos more and more each time I look at them! We also had them do the mirror photo booth at our wedding and everyone had a blast with it. We received an album the night of the wedding from them with copies of all the photos that were taken in the booth! I can’t wait to design our wedding album with the Fade to Black crew. Our package included all the necessities: an engagement shoot, Save the Dates (which he very kindly reprinted for us for free when we had to postpone our date due to covid), thank you notes, 2 photographers all day, a couple’s album, 2 clone parent albums, a canvas, and a bunch of prints! He sent us a great form beforehand to make sure he knew of all the family dynamics (which was so smart because my parents are divorced) and we got all the special shots we wanted (I wanted a pic of us under my veil and totally forgot about it on the day of, but they remembered!!) My mom also said that she liked our photographer better than the maitre’d at our venue lol because Gil took it upon himself to go above and beyond and help us out with something when the maitre’d didn’t seem to want to. It’s obvious they are experienced in their field and they worked super well with my makeup artist, the venue, and my crazy family haha. Basically, Fade to Black is professional, inclusive, efficient, and I would 100% recommend any couple use them to capture your big day! I absolutely love our photos and will cherish them forever.

unlike a lot of other photographers, he was not pushy when we met him. We first had our engagement photo shoot at the college where we met and where we had our first date. He definitely captured a lot of great memories for us, he was SO patient. Then for our wedding, Gil and Jeff made taking pictures a lot of fun. I couldn’t be happier with how all the pictures came out. They really went above and beyond- Gil even let my husband borrow his glasses to get the perfect Superman pose. We recently got our album, which looks AMAZING. My family and I were so surprised by the quality of the album, the front cover is so well made and the pages are super thick. And the layout of all the photos is perfect. I’ve seen many wedding album from friends and family and this is by far the nicest. I would also like to mention that even after I took FOREVER to chose my photos for the album (over a year) that Gil was super accommodating. He had everything ready shortly after. Even after the wedding- our photos and video were ready in just a couple weeks, very impressive.
