ll talk about how good the mac & cheese was at our wedding. Liz was super flexible on what food we picked and made sure to include our favorite desserts. We received so many compliments on how perfect our wedding venue was; some of our guests are even planning to return for future vacations! Probably the best part was that our wedding party, a total of 26, had an entire section of the resort to ourselves so everyone had their own cabin and space to relax, nap, play yard games, fish, swim, whatever!

g coordinator was in touch with me all through the day and made me feel at ease. They were able to switch from an outdoor ceremony to an indoor ceremony with no problems and told me they'll be watching the radar. Right before the ceremony, the sun came out and we were able to have the ceremony outside. It was so nice to have a venue that knew how to handle anything because it allowed me to focus on the day and enjoy every minute. I have had multiple guests text and call saying how great their experience was with Fair Hills and how they can't wait to go back for a summer vacation. I cannot say enough good things about staff. Truly supportive and wonderful people.

were affordable, in the right location, and SUPER accomodating! My coordinator, Rebecca, was the absolute best and I was thrilled. The contract was signed and plans were underway. Then about two months ago, I received an email from Rebecca telling me that she was moving on and there would be a new coordinator taking her place. From there, things started going downhill. The new coordinator, Liz, was almost impossible to get ahold of and when I finally did, she seemed to have no clue going on. With increasing frustration, I turned to the Five Lakes liaison, Marlette, who seemed to know more about our plans. It initially seemed just like your usual bumpy transition between personnel until I received an email from Marlette stating that it would easier for the resort if I moved my ceremony to a different site. I immediately scheduled a time to go view the other ceremony sites and realized right away that none of them were comparable to the site that I had already chosen (and paid for!) I let Liz and Marlette know that I would still like to stay at that location. About a week later I received an email stating that Marlette had gone ahead and rented out my ceremony site to a different party. I immediately reached out, sure that there was just some sort of confusion but they confirmed that they had done exactly that. If I still wanted to get married at the resort I would not be able to do it in the location that I had reserved and paid for. When I brought up the contract, they claimed they had never received it. (I have a copy) After much ado, and involving my mother in law (bless her heart) the resort, while they would not admit fault or that they broke contract, agreed to refund our deposit. Mind you- this all took place about a MONTH AND A HALF before my wedding. Due to COVID-19 this is an already stressful time to plan a wedding. I thankfully was able to find a venue to fill my needs and am expecting have a beautiful day despite these hurdles. That being said, I wouldn't want another bride or groom to experience this sort of stress, hence this post. Best of luck to all you and happy planning!

The unique part about this venue is the gorgeous lakeside views and the lovely walk from dinner to the dance. I would highly recommend taking a trip to Pelican Lake and touring this venue, before you make a decision elsewhere, this is a wonderful venue! Absolutely loved it all!

stions I had throughout planning and worked great via email. On the day of, she worked with all of the vendors and fielded any questions and solved any issues. We got so many compliments from our guests on the food, the resort and the staff- Fair Hills went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of! We felt that the pricing was affordable and Rebecca and staff were so ready and willing to help that we found that we didn’t need a day- of coordinator. Unlike many venues we looked at, Fair Hills did not have any hidden fees or charges. They also have really nice policies on set up and tear down which made the day much less stressful also.If you get married there you are the only wedding on the property and actually the weekend we got married we were the only guests on the property so our guests had the entire resort to themselves. We loved that we had to many location options (grassy, trees, lake etc) and it really felt like a getaway for our guests.

Fair Hills has always been known for their food, and we were not disappointed! I could go and on..let’s just say I highly recommend Fair Hills!

ll) where we had our reception and a jazz / cocktail band. The resort is right on the lake and very, very beautiful!! There are cabins at the resort as well, for your guests to stay if they wish. If you like the beautiful state of Minnesota and want a venue that gives you that ”lake setting” feel - Fair Hills is definitely the place to have your wedding!! I can’t say enough great words about the staff!! Beth communicated with us quite often during the planning stage (we had a 8 month long engagement) - by email and then we did meet in person a few times too. The staff were very attentive to our needs. The morning of as we were getting some decorations set up in the reception - I had a few last-minute changes (setup for the reception) and the staff was very accommodating and got right on it! The food and dessert was excellent!! We highly recommend you stay in a cabin at the resort on the wedding night - as noted before, Fair Hills is a very beautiful resort that is right on the lake and the cabins are very up-to-date! We will definitely go there again and stay on our future anniversaries!

the same venue for their cocktail hour just prior to our dinner. Not only did Fair Hill’s do an amazing job setting up (in time) we also never encountered the other wedding party! We spent 4 days at the resort and found all the staff very friendly and extremely helpful. The breakfasts exceeded our expectations and the two dinners (wedding and groom’s) were both very good. We have been to some very “High-end” expensive weddings and I would consider Fair Hill’s a great option for a destination wedding! Thank you Fair Hill’s Resort!

ay nights which was awesome because we were able to have so much quality time with our guests. We had our rehearsal dinner on the deck on Saturday evening and then our wedding on Sunday, it was great because everyone was able to park their cars and just stay at Fair Hills for the weekend! Our guests are still talking about how much they had to do over the weekend, we played golf, had a volleyball and pickle-ball tournament, went kayaking, and rented ski boats. We had so much fun all weekend and the wedding topped off our already amazing weekend! Everything went off with no problems the entire weekend, it was great! I would highly recommend having your wedding at Fair Hills!
