My husband and I had our wedding last weekend at Fairview Farm and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding venue! My husband is in the military, so we had to plan from 4 states away in a few months. From the moment we started planning, the entire team (Debbie, Blanton, Colon & vendors) were incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating. One of the reasons I picked this venue was that they were able to connect us with each of the vendors we needed and I didn't have to go search. They set us up with the best Wedding Planner, Chelsea who made the process seamless. Everyone truly went above and beyond to make our wedding day everything we had dreamed of and more.
The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and provided the perfect backdrop for our special day. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how gorgeous the property was and how much they enjoyed being there.
What meant the most to us was how supported we felt throughout the entire process. The team was responsive, attentive to the details, and genuinely invested in making our day special. I want to give a big shout-out to Colon, who took the best care of us for the entire weekend! On a day that can naturally come with a lot of moving parts, it was such a relief knowing we were in good hands.

Your weekend includes waterfront views, a fully decorated climate‑controlled reception barn, an all‑weather pavilion, and a beautifully updated 1915 farmhouse with a new bridal suite salon.
The Gathering House with lodging, offers hours of fun with pool, ping pong, air hockey, Foosball, pinball, gaming tables, bar, various seating areas and a 75" TV entertainment system, and fireplace.
Multiple ceremony sites, chandeliers, bistro lighting, seasonal décor, and curated touches throughout the estate create an elegant, relaxed atmosphere.

Fairview Farm has been family owned for 100 years and is passionate about preserving the southern charm of the destination farm estate. The large ADA event barn is heated and air conditioned opened in 2013 and our focus is you. Occupancy can be up to 225 at Fairview Farm. There are destination weekend packages and Saturdays, Sunday and weekday elopements. Concierge services include extensive planning services, DJs, decorated and furnished ADA barn and large pavilion, gazebo, five acre pond with new large deck, gazebo and fountains, multiple barns and much more are just part of the venue's charm. The venue is beautiful, and very accommodating for any type of wedding you want. Their recommended vendors are also exceptional. We recommend The Sandlot for catering, Shannon Hennessey for photography, Illumination Events for coordinating, and Jamie with Dynamic DJ Services for your DJ. From someone who did not want a wedding to begin with, I can truly say that having my wedding at Fairview made everything so worth it. seeing the facility. Let me tell you -- Fairview farm did not disappoint. In fact, we can truthfully say that in the 25 years we have lived in Powhatan, this was the best event we have attended (and we have attended a lot at different places). First, the surroundings are beautiful and had been decorated with high-end fall decorations, the "barn" was better than most restaurants, the buffet was outstanding and staff were attentive and friendly, Ginger, the "hostess with the mostest", made everyone feel welcome, and the attendees were social and talkative. We could not have asked for a better evening. Thank you Fairview Farm!

seamlessly together when weather concerns arose. Between Friday and Saturday, we had to pivot from our original plan due to heat and potential storms, but the team moved us from Plan A to Plan B effortlessly, ensuring our guests had plenty of shade and comfort.
The venue’s multiple ceremony site options were a lifesaver - even though we didn’t end up with our original plan, the alternative location was just as beautiful and romantic. The flexibility of having different spaces available meant we never had to compromise on the magic of the day.
One of the best features was that family could stay on-site, eliminating any worry about traveling to and from the venue. This made the entire celebration feel more intimate and relaxed, allowing everyone to truly enjoy the festivities without the stress of logistics.

With many out-of-town guests, we were thrilled to utilize all the properties at the venue. Our guests were full of compliments about the venue and accommodations, and they truly appreciated the extra time we all had to spend together over the weekend. This wasn't just a three-hour wedding event; it was an entire long weekend filled with quality time with each guest.
The accommodations were perfect, offering something for everyone. From the game room to the fishing pond, and all the outdoor seating and fire pits, there was never a dull moment. The fully equipped kitchens at all the properties allowed us to prepare and serve food for our guests, adding a personal touch to the celebration.
The wedding planners at Fairview Farms were top-notch, taking care of every detail with precision. We also took advantage of the recommended DJ and officiant, and I was pleasantly surprised to see my entire family out on the dance floor. It truly was a memorable celebration, and I still have guests telling me it was the nicest wedding they have ever attended.

Fairview farms staff and property make you feel at home, and while being surrounded by all our friends and family it felt magical. Even the staff at Fairview farm felt like family, they were a joy to be around especially Colon the property manager! Throughout my big day I could see Colon in the back round hard at work. ng photos and multiple options for ceremony sites. We had the wedding outside under an oak tree, which was absolutely lovely. The venue also provided two distinct areas for our event—the pavilion for the cocktail hour and the barn for the reception—creating a wonderful flow for our guests. The barn was air-conditioned, which was a huge bonus given the hot weather that day.
Accessibility was key for us, and the venue being ADA-compliant ensured that the bride's mother could attend comfortably in her wheelchair. The venue also offers a wide variety of decorations, which helped us cut down on floral costs while still having everything beautifully arranged to our tastes, thanks to the help of their on-site coordinator.
We were worried about rain, but Fairview Farm’s flexible rain plan was a lifesaver. The staff allowed us to wait until the last minute before deciding whether to move the ceremony indoors, giving the weather time to improve. Thankfully, we didn’t need to use the rain plan, but the flexibility and support were so appreciated. The entire staff, from the facility manager to the coordinator and DJ, were fantastic. The facility manager helped with everything from parking to setting up tables and chairs, ensuring everything flowed smoothly. Their vendor list was also incredibly helpful—each vendor was familiar with the venue, making the whole process seamless. The caterers and bartenders worked well with the coordinator to make sure the setup was perfect, and the photographer knew all the best photo spots on the property, giving us beautiful memories to look back on.
Additionally, the venue offers several houses for the wedding party and guests to use, which is such a convenient feature. The groomsmen loved the game room while waiting for the ceremony! Overall, everything about the planning and execution of the wedding went off without a hitch, and I can’t thank Fairview Farm Events enough for their amazing service. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful, well-organized place to host a celebration.

was on my top 3 by the pictures they had on their site, the description of things they offered and the reviews that were left! It fit what we were looking for as far as a one stop shop per se! We could have our ceremony, reception and even some family and wedding party stay on property for the weekend, what more could you ask for! So we decided to book a tour and I don’t regret it one bit! Debbie was quick to respond and worked with me to schedule a tour and was even flexible when we were running a little behind because we were coming from out of town. They texted the day of to make sure we could find their venue alright and where we could meet them! The venue was just as it looked in all the pictures and videos we had seen online and was exactly how I pictured it! We had just come from another venue that looked a little better online then it actually did when we pulled up, so it was nice to pull into the farm and it be just how I pictured and seen it! Blanton greeted us as we pulled up and gave a fantastic tour and let us explore every part of the venue. He was friendly and answered all the questions we had and I especially loved the stories and history behind the farm and why they started a wedding venue there and the fact the he helped build/design the cottage and the lofts in both the barns! So cool! We felt very comfortable there and could picture getting married on the farm! They offer everything are looking for and more! Decorations, multiple places to hold the ceremony, props, rehearsal and reception areas and amenities for the wedding party and family to stay on property for the weekend! Every picture they had and stories of of all the various wedding they’ve hosted were just breathtaking and just made choosing FFE so much easier! Debbie and Blanton are just wonderful and so friendly and they make you feel like family! It was an easy decision for us to book our wedding at Fairview and we can’t wait until December to see everything put together!

We could feel the pride and hear the love in his voice for this very special place. His tour was detailed and thorough. After our tour we met with Debbie who greeted us with excitement and enthusiasm. Although she hosts many events at her farm, we felt like ours was the most important to her. We were so pleased and felt so lucky for all the accommodations Debbie made for us she was truly wonderful and a joy to work with. Our day was truly everything we could’ve hoped for and more. All of our family and friends want to go back already, not only is it a truly amazing wedding venue but very peaceful and relaxing the weekend you are there. All the staff is amazing and very helpful, Chelsea was our wedding coordinator and her team did so well. We were so happy with our day and everything felt so stress free thanks to all the amazing people Debbie has!

AMAZING homes / barns on the property that can provide comfortable living arrangements for ~ 50 guests.
Fairview also includes a lot of stuff in their packages to make your life easier. They provide a list of preferred vendors with contact information, guides/checklists, and they offer great discounts + extras with their premium package (including the best wedding planner ever).
The farm itself is gorgeous and the reception barn is immaculate. People loved hanging out in the fire pit and game room area at night.

We planned for a September wedding hoping the weather would be mild, and ended up with a tropical storm. Luckily this beautiful venue has generators for every building and even though we had a couple seconds of power loss mid-ceremony the generators saved the day. ALL THAT TO SAY, if you want to plan a summer/early fall wedding you won't have to worry about a hurricane ruining your day because Fairview has it all covered.
The facilities manager Colon was absolutely wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed starting on Thursday when we arrived until Sunday when we left.

ose kindness and willingness to share stories and answer our questions left us feeling like we had known him for years. We fell in love with the property and it’s family oriented feel.
Throughout the planning processes we were in contact with Deborah and Maria, whose thoughtfulness, willingness to help, and quick responses really put us at ease. We never felt alone!
We had a large wedding, around 130 guests, and the reception barn was able to accommodate every single attendee and still have an intimate feel with the advantage of extra space so guests were not on top of each other. The day of our wedding was a hot one, and the AC in the barn was AMAZING. To add to the already beautiful space, the decor provided by Fairview was beautiful and of great quality.
We used all of the housing accommodations on the property, and each one was exceptionally decorated and equipped to fit everyone’s needs. The dairy barn and hay barn are truly breathtaking. Colon was extremely helpful in accommodating our needs the entire weekend, he is a gem!
We are so happy that we chose Fairview Farm Events for our special day. It is a place that we will hold in our hearts forever. What a special, beautiful place.

They've been doing this for 10 years so have a ton of experience and great relationships with every vendor/service you could need, and it makes the process SO easy. And amazingly they seem as excited for every wedding as though it was their own family, even after 10 years! We knew immediately when we met with them that this was the place for us. Venue-wise, everything is spotless and beautiful and the surrounding landscape is perfection. We were really looking for a place where our family could stay with us for the weekend and were so lucky to find this, everything is gorgeously renovated and comfortable. You couldn't do better than to book with Fairview Farms.

p for amazing views throughout the event. The owners, Debbie and Blanton, were so incredibly helpful and responsive throughout our planning process. We particularly loved that so many elements were included with our package, including properties for overnight stays (we did upgrade our booking to include all properties, which is not part of the basic package), and we truly enjoyed having access to the property starting Friday evening through Sunday morning. The entire property was maintained perfectly, the overnight accommodations were beautiful and so comfortable (our guests raved about the cozy rooms!), and everything was absolutely perfect!

s phenomenal. All my family was able to stay on site, the crew was so helpful and professional while also giving you space to enjoy with friends and family. They also give you a vendor list to pick from that are familiar with the large property. They have a beautiful bridal suite to get ready in and even a pond to do some fishing in! We had severe weather day of the wedding right as we were supposed to walk and they moved everything to the pavilion so we could still start on time as expected and even picked us up in a golf cart so none of the wedding party got wet. Best experience for a wedding ever!!! 10/10 recommend!!

The Blantons are a wonderful family that treat you like one of your own! Beautiful grounds and excellent communication! I would 100% recommend Fairview without any hesitation.

360-degree scenic picturesque view. There is cozy & chic lodging with a pool on-site. Any photo you take, inside or outside, is magazine worthy. It's the perfect backdrop for any wedding. All three weddings that I attended had different needs to suit the couples and I felt that all three were catered to, perfectly. Which, goes back to the team at Fairview. They're clearly experienced and doing what they love. I recommend Fairview Farm for the perfect wedding experience.

view is nestled in a buccolic setting that remains true to its roots as a family dairy farm while providing modern, impressive accommodations. They have different packages depending on the size of the wedding. We rented the entire property and were able to provide accommodations for more than fifty out-of-town guests. Debbie, Blanton, and their team took care of every detail imaginable to make our wedding weekend a magical one. They also provide a list of preferred vendors who can work seamlessly together. And unexpected weather is certainly not a problem when you're at Fairview. We had 150 guests and our ceremony was originally intended to take place under a tree. When a cloud burst unexpectedly appeared on the radar less than two hours before the ceremony, within twenty minutes the Fairview team had moved and perfectly rearranged the wedding venue to the pavilion overlooking a pasture. Months after the ceremony we still had family and friends raving about how perfect Fairview's setting and facilities were. We cannot thank Debbie and Blanton enough for making our wedding such a memorable one.

We had most of our guest list coming from out of town, so being able to provide stress free accommodations that were MUCH better than any hotel was a huge plus. All our guests that stayed on site loved it. Working from a preferred list of vendors helped me stay stress free. I think the biggest plus was how flexible they were. Because it was the same venue as my sister, we were worried about it feeling the same, but the diversity of ceremony sites really made it feel like a choose your own wedding adventure. We wanted to get married on the dock, and they were able to make that happen. I was worried it wasn't feasible, but they excel at planning and executing what you want for your wedding. The dock ceremony was gorgeous. I am so happy we chose to get married here. Thank you for everything!!

When it came to the day of the wedding it was beyond perfect. The vendors and staff had everything flowing perfectly. It was stress free, super fun, and beautiful.
Moral of the story: if you are looking for the easiest planning process and the most perfect wedding ever BOOK THIS VENUE.

was no way I could not share my experience and hope to help future couples have their dream wedding like we did.
We were very tight on our budget and Debbie was so understanding and respectful of that. We went with the premiere weekend package but the date we had chosen was a weekday. They wanted us to have our dream wedding and created a "Weekday Wedding Weekend Package" for us so that we could still enjoy everything their standard weekend package had to offer but on a weekday. All of our family and friends were out of state, so they wanted us to be able to have them stay on site too. They worked so hard with us to find us the right vendors and give us the wedding we were hoping for. They were always so transparent with us from the start so you always felt you were getting an honest opinion or an honest recommendation.
One of the biggest things, however, was their responsiveness when things did NOT go as planned. We had a wedding date in January but my husband and I both got COVID just 6 days before the wedding and had to postpone it. Fairview responded so quick to this. I messaged the wedding planner for the venue (Chelsea Moring, also an absolute gem) and she immediately reached out to Fairview. By the time I called Fairview myself to give them the news, they had already gone through their calendar and had two potential dates within 2-3 months that they were prepared to move the wedding to. They helped me figure out what to do next in moving the date and they comforted me because it was heartbreaking to be that close to the wedding and to have family already getting into town only to have to put a pause on that excitement.
They treated us like family from the start and took care of us as they would their own family. They made our wedding everything we had hoped it would be. And our families and friends? They could not stop showering the venue with compliments. It really was a dream to have Fairview for our wedding. So yes, I HIGHLY recommend them!

The option to have our wedding party and immediate family stay on the farm with us in the beautifully renovated barns was such a selling point, we were able to really enjoy our time together and make it a whole weekend getaway. Lots of things are included with the premiere package at Fairview but the best is the planner, we had the smoothest wedding day and it was 100% was because of Chelsea, illumination studios and Colon, the property manager at Fairview Farm Events. They were so helpful and so so sweet. We had many guests come up to us throughout the night and tell us how beautiful the venue was and we couldn’t agree more! 10/10

ed a venue that had separate enclosed areas for the ceremony and reception. I was set on a rustic barn style venue and when we found Fairview, it checked all of our boxes and more. Debbie and Blanton were so responsive and attentive to every need and question we had throughout the entire wedding process. We chose Fairview’s premier package which included the venue from Friday - Sunday, set up for the rehearsal dinner Friday night and for the reception on Saturday, three out of the four houses on property (The Farmhouse, The Cottage, and the Hay Barn) + a game room with sleeping arrangements, music/DJ, a wedding planner, a catering allowance and bakery credit, and so much more. It was well worth it!! We added on the 4th sleeping accommodation (The Dairy Barn) which then allowed us to have up to 50 people staying on property for our wedding weekend. Options for sleeping accommodations near the property are slim as it is in a rural area so the on property accommodations were a must for us and made everything so convenient. Fairview’s preferred vendor list was filled with amazing vendors and I am so thankful for who I chose! Having this vendor list to choose from made everything seamless. All the vendors had worked at Fairview many times and had worked together many times so this made coordinating everything a breeze - almost like I wasn’t even planning a wedding! I couldn’t have been more thankful for a better group of people to work with over the year. Fairview’s property manager, Colon Mcartan, is an absolute angel! He was available to show us around property leading up to the wedding, gave us access to the facilities several times throughout the year so we could look at decor and plan, and was all hands on deck for the wedding weekend. Whether it was helping us set up the live Christmas trees we had brought in, helping with set up of any decorations, directing traffic day of - no matter what we asked of him, he was happy to help. Then, he even dressed up as Santa Claus during our reception and surprised my husband and I! We absolutely loved working with him and everyone was so appreciative of his hard work. He is surely the backbone of FF! If you’re looking for an all-inclusive, rustic style venue for your upcoming wedding - look no further. Our experience with Fairview Farm was an absolute dream and we are so happy this is where we chose to start our forever!
